Responsible, non-smoking online educator ready to make some new furriends!
Joyce came across as thoughtful and organized when we "met" on a video chat, and I knew right away she would be a reliable pet and house sitter. Everything worked out great... our animals (cat and chickens) were well taken care of, and our house was exactly as we left it.

World explorers—one house, one country, and lots of animals—at a time.
We can’t say enough good things about Lucy and Pawel! They’ve been one of the best house sitters/pet sitters we’ve had the fortune to find through the app. From the moment we connected months before the sit they were super responsive and seemed genuinely interested in our dogs. Around the time the sit was supposed to start they were life savers!! We had a very long trip in planned (3 weeks) so we had another zeewoi scheduled to come before Lucy and Pawel. We had the most terrible experience with that other previous sitter, it was a nightmare and she ended up leaving unexpectedly 2 days before the sit was supposed to end among many other terrible things. I was in constant communication with Lucy and Pawel and shared everything with them and they were so awesome and were able to get to our house one day before their sit was supposed to start! From the minute they got to our house they sent great updates, helped with a lot of things that the previous sitter was supposed to do like watering the plants and making sure to give lots of love to our babies and getting them out on time. They let us know if something didn’t seem right (there was a time that Max was acting up very weird, and that Cleo vomited) and we’re just great overall. When we came back we found a house that was spotless as if we had never left and extremely happy dogs!! Thank you so much Lucy and Pawel for all your help these past days. We wish you the best and hope you can sit for us again in the future!!

Trustworthy couple to look after your pets and home.
We have used Wendy and Dave several times and they are the best! Our cats get more attentive care from them than they do from us, and our apartment is always left spotless. We have been very blessed to have them.

Responsible, professional woman who loves pets, nature, and traveling
Sandra was an excellent sitter - we came back to a happy contented cat, a spotless house and a lovely welcome home card and message. Sandra sent us daily photos and updates on Ziggy which we greatly appreciated. I hope Sandra can cat sit for us again and I have no hesitation in recommending her.

Theresa was great at communicating, asking for clarification when it was needed and for keeping our home in good shape. She sent photos of our cats, & spoke lovingly about them. You'd be lucky to have her at your home!

Another amazing sit by Anna and her lovely family - our cocker spaniel Holly has had the best fortnight with these guys with lots of adventures and endless amounts of love and attention! Highly recommend as 5-star house and pet sitters - thank you Anna - hope to see you again!
Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. I'd recommend Angela and will definitely include her as one of our top sitter choices in the future! Thanks again, Angela!
Great pet care. The house was clean and tidy. The sitters had great communication. Would recommend again!
I had the pleasure of having Tracey and her two children as house sitters, and I can't praise them enough for the incredible job they did. From the moment they stepped into our home, it was evident that they were dedicated, caring, and attentive to every detail. First and foremost, Tracey's approach to caring for our house and our beloved pets was nothing short of excellent. She has an innate ability to connect with animals, and it was clear from the daily updates and photos that our pets were happy and thoroughly pampered. The house was kept in immaculate condition, and they treated it with the utmost respect as if it was their own. Moreover, Tracey demonstrated remarkable responsibility and initiative when our AC system unexpectedly broke down. Without hesitation, she arranged for an HVAC company to come and fix the issue, taking time from her day to ensure our home was taken care of. Her willingness to front the repair costs until I could reimburse her was an act of kindness and trust that you rarely see. Tracey and her children's thoughtfulness and thoroughness provided me with peace of mind during my time away, which is priceless. I returned to a home that was just as I left it, if not better. Their stay was characterized by an extraordinary level of care and I was particularly impressed by how they left the house in perfect condition, with happy pets to welcome me back. I wholeheartedly recommend Tracey to any future hosts. Her reliability, compassion, and the ability to handle unexpected situations with grace are commendable. I would welcome Tracey and her children back to house sit in a heartbeat – they are exactly the kind of house sitters that one hopes for on this site! Thank you, Tracey, for everything. You and your children are welcome back anytime!
Davis and Sydney were loving sitters for our pets. We even had an extra cat (our son's) and they took great care of all of the pets and our home. The pictures and the comments they sent showed us they figured out all of their quirky personalities very fast. It was nice to come home to a clean house and all pets were safe and happy! We would ask them back again.
Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Just a delightful person all around. I'd love to have her come again and if you have a chance to have her housesit, jump on it. She is a gem.
Laura is incredible! For starters, she is a clear and considerate communicator who is reliable and trustworthy while setting up details for a sit in advance. From there... where do we start?! Laura (and her sister Stephanie, for a few days) took care of our cat & dog for a week-long sit. We were immediately at ease with both of them, and it was clear that they were excited to meet our pets and love them, and relaxed and comfortable in this role. They asked informed and curious questions about our pets, routines, and the surrounding area to set up a successful sit. When we departed, our dog hardly seemed to notice, because she was getting to know her new people! The snuggle-fest and hiking adventures that took place while we were gone resulted in happy pets who were calm and content. We received daily photos, which were heart warming, and assured us that dog hugs and cat exercise were taking place. Our dog is very affectionate, and Laura made sure that she received plenty of love while we were gone. Upon return, our home was spotless - tidy and clean (possibly cleaner than when we left, and we tried really hard!) We are games people, and Laura left us some of her favorite games to play (yay), and gifts for our pets, which were so fun to open when we got home. Everything was so thoughtful and kind. Laura is absolutely one of the top sitters we've ever had, and we are so grateful for her care. She went above and beyond basic home/pet care, and her compassion shines through in all of her communications and actions. She (and Stephanie) are welcome anytime, and we (Zora and Morris especially) hope they will come stay again!
Toby and we were SO lucky to have Tom be our home and pet sitter for our Thanksgiving Holiday trip! From the very beginning Tom was responsive and communicative. He was even able to arrange a "meet and greet" with us and Toby before beginning his stay. While here Tom took great care of our home, and, most importantly, provided wonderful care of Toby! When we got home everything was in perfect order and we could tell that even though Toby was happy to see us he was going to miss Tom. I would be thrilled if we could have Tom as our zeewoi again. You will be lucky if he can do the same for you. :)
Debra was a Great pet and house sitter !! She communicated well throughout our long trip and sent us frequent pictures of all of our pets. She watered our plants and brought in all the mail. Our home was immaculate when we arrived home and the dogs and cat were super happy !! I would recommend Debra as a wonderful, responsible and reliable pet and house sitter !
What an amazing couple we had as pet sitters for our two dogs! You can truly feel their love for animals. Nancy sent pictures a couple of times letting us know that they were having fun also with our Cody and Carson! Our home was perfect when we got home. They even left a beautiful potted flower and card on our island in our kitchen. We highly recommend this couple! Jim & Wanda

My dog and I love fire spirit doggy day care! The employees take the absolute best care of the dogs and they roam free and have so much interaction and play time! It’s a wonderful place for a dog!
This place is fantastic. We recently got a puppy who has a lot of energy who loves coming here. She gets to play all day with many dogs. The staff is amazing and so accommodating to our dogs needs. They always have time for last minute baths and nails. The are extremely friendly and my dog loves them. They are relatively cheap compared to other places and offer many different packages. I wouldn't trust anyone else to care for my dog. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a place for their dog to make friends and release energy.
Our pup loves going to Free Spirit Doggy Daycare; she practically sprints from the car to the back to go and play. The people who work here are all wonderful, you can tell they truly love dogs and are passionate about them. Tricia did our pups evaluation and we knew right away that we would be bringing our pup here on a regular basis based on how friendly and welcoming she was. She answered all of our questions and I loved that they not only did a people evaluation with our dog, but a dog evaluation with her to make sure she was comfortable and the dogs all got along. We love that we have the ability to watch the dogs play on the tv screen, they always look like they are having a blast. Highly recommend bringing your dog here if you’re looking to burn some energy or your pup loves other dogs and wants to socialize.
They took great care of my dog. He hurt his paw playing with the boarders and free spirit called me to tell me. After discussion they took him to the vet to get checked out. He was fine just a bruise. They kept him separated so he can heal. 3 days later I picked him up and he was fine back to normal. I totally recommend FREE SPIRIT. Thank you for great service.
LOVE THIS PLACE! Leaving my dogs is never easy...but Free Spirit makes me feel much better about it. The staff is always SO friendly!! I am able to call whenever to check up and they tell me exactly what my doggies are up too. All the staff seems very knowledgeable as well. They have helped one of my dogs socialize with other dogs better, as she was not so good at this to start with. Great knowing they are in good hands!
If you are looking for a safe healthy environment to board your fuzzy, I highly recommend this location. My fuzzy always acts wild and crazy when on a leash. I took him here for a few days and he completely loved being with a pack of dogs. The staff made us feel super safe about having him their and catered to our peculiar needs for our fuzzy.
I called last minute and they were able to get my 2 boxers in quickly. Great job on grooming and my dogs were at ease immediately with them, which does not always happen. I am impressed and will be using them regularly. Pricing is very reasonable.
Irina loves going to doggy daycare at Free Spirit. The facility is so clean, smells great, and the staff is wonderful and very friendly. We've been coming here for months and I don't worry at all as I know she's happy and treated fantastic. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our furbaby.
Cage free daycare. I love to see my dogs to play with other dogs freely. Price is reasonable. We have sent our dogs there from time to time for over 3 years. Wish they could have discount or pass packages for boarding.
We've been bringing our dogs here for the past year and a half. The facility is very clean, and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. It really says something that our dogs literally jump out of the car and pull on their leashes trying to get inside. They love it here!
We rented out the pond for our dogs to play, they had a blast! It was so clean and the owner is so Nice and helpful! I will definitely be back , thank you for a great time!
We've been dropping our dogs off with Kathy for years! Her and her staff are amazing. I know nobody is going to treat Evie & Green Bean with the level of care they get here. Love this place!
I have been bringing my dogs to Gypsy Glen K-9 Kastle since 2014. My dogs spend several long weekends and week long visits every year. I know they are treated with love, kindness, and are in safe hands with people I trust.
We have been taking our fur baby to Gypsy Glen for 7 years since we adopted him. Kathy has given numerous tips to keep our dog happy and healthy - from natural dog treats, exercises to training instructions. Given Kathy's background of training K9 for police and fire, our dog is always better behaved when he comes home. We trust Kathy to keep up with the same level of discipline we give our dog. Kathy has been generous with samples of treats and food items so our dog can try different things before we purchase them. The staff is also very conscientious about making sure that the fur babies are in good health when they stay at Gypsy Glen so all other fur babies don't get sick. We always have to provide proof of yearly vaccinations, which gives us peace of mind that our dog is safe from potential life-threatening illnesses.
I wish I could give more stars. It is wonderful to find a place that loves and protects dogs. Kathy the owner spent a lot of time with my dog, a big muscular pit bull type mix who did NOT want her long claws clipped, was afraid to be someplace new. Kathy was so patient and kind, my dog eventually realized she was being helped, but first put up a big fight. Kathy knows, understands, & loves dogs. Gypsy Glen was created for the mental, physical benefit of the dogs in her care. I trust them completely, and there is no higher recommendation than to be able to feel that way.
Kathy was so wonderful with our dogs, both rescues with kennel anxiety. They were very much at ease when we dropped them off and picked them up. The facility is clean, and Kathy and her staff are very attentive. They don't just make sure the dogs are fed and let out - they truly care for your pet as if they were theirs. We will not take our dogs anywhere else!!
I have been bringing my dog to the kennel for at least 5 years Our dog has high anxiety and he is ALWAYS happy to see Kathy and stay at the kennel. He starts to get excited the minute he sees the kennel. I would HIGHLY recommend boarding at the kennel,
My experience with Kathy dates back almost 30 yrs ago. I purchased a black Lab from her. The dog was a beautiful & VERY HEALTHY pup, he just loved to run & had a big mind of his own. I had kids in diapers & this dog would sneak out all the time & just go run. Kathy worked with the dog & I for quite sometime, to try to get him to come to us. He literally would hear his name & run. We worked for months to no avail. She bought the dog back from me, spent 3 more years training him to sniff out Arsenic fires. The pup moved to Tx, to live his life with the Chief of the Fire Dept. Funny thing he’d still run, but all they had to do was start the car & he’d come back! Lol My point is..... How many breeders invest 3 years into training a dog that failed obedience classes 3x & give you your money back for the pup & the classes! Kathy was one of the most ETHICAL DOG BREEDERS around. I would not hesitate to bring my pup to her!!!
We have a 8 year old shep/dane mix who can be quite a handful. Our pup has been full of anxiety as long as we can remember, but Kathy has always gone the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. She gives him an extra large kennel (when available), she puts up a sheet to make sure he can get worked up from seeing other dogs, she even notices things hot spots and tends to them if needed. Kathy is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure our boy has a happy stay. He is always excited to get to Gypsie Glen K9 Castle, but more excited to come home. Just the way we like it! Gypsie Glen K9 Castle is the ONLY boarding facility I would trust my dogs to.
very knowledgeable dog owner/trainer. very professional. They have more than 50 acres of land devoted to animal care and boarding. Kathy is very experienced with german shepherds, and has actually started "Police K-9" and "Search and Rescue" programs for a few different local cities/counties. Easy to work with and very accommodating.
Absolutely recommend sending your beloved pups here. My pup Absolutely loves coming here! I feel very comfortable leaving her. And get lots of interaction and updates from them through her stay.
I never worry when my Bassett Hound is at Doggie Day Delight. Lisa is awesome, loves the dogs, and has been a great resource for me! I have told several people about my experience here. Thank you Lisa for all you do!!
Lisa cares for your dog like it's her own. She is so lovely and professional. Doggie Daycare Delight is the only place for your doggie home away from home.❤️
Lisa Ziccardi takes THE BEST care of doggies. Doggie Daycare Delight is the most excellent solution for care of beloved pups.
Our furry son loved Doggie Daycare Delight! We took a vacation and he took a vacation. He loves to play with other dogs and run, run, run. Lisa's huge backyard has separate, large play areas for different sizes/types of breeds...if necessary. Her house/property is a well run, clean, and thoughtful home where the dog's are the guests and allowed throughout. There is a doggie door for easy access to outside during the day. This is what happens at DDD! Thanks, Lisa! We will be back for the many play dates, and always for vacation!
Paula cut my fur babies nails free of charge! She was absolutely wonderful and very efficient! My dogs do not like nail trims so I was amazed at how calm they were with her. We were able to see the lovely facility for daycare and boarding. Will definitely be back!
My Miniature Pinscher, Stewie, was treated like the king he believes himself to be! He was retrieved healthy and happy with trimmed nails as a bonus. This place is the best; we'll definitely be returning.
No one will love your dog more than Lisa. Best care and attention you will find.
One and only place I trust to take care of my pup love this place.
Great place for the family's best friend
They were so friendly with our dog. And we were able to get an appointment fairly quick. Will definitely go there again.
We love Aragon and so does our dog! He always comes home happy and content. The staff is so friendly and bonds well with our pup. We always feel confident leaving him in their hands.
Their boarding kennel is so good! My grandma owns it! :)
We've used Aragon for grooming and boarding for almost 20 years now, and they've always done a great job with both.
Always bring my 2 dogs here one time my dog was scared of fireworks and the lady let her sleep in her bed to keep her company . It is the families home and they are always so nice.
Excellent People who have been caring and showing dogs for decades
Caring knowledgeable
A great place!
Great boarding facility!!
My dogs LOVE going to stay at KnowPlace Pets. All of the dogs receive individual love and care which is reflected in how they respond to Michelle, and the other qualified employees at the facility, when I drop them off. This business offers a variety of packages which allow us the opportunity to attend more often then I could normally afford. Michelle is very careful to only employ individuals who will show your pets the proper attention that they deserve and she is always conscious to the ratio of dogs/people being cared for. KnowPlace Pets is understanding and compassionate to the personal needs of each family, we would be lost without them. KnowPlace Pets is where my dogs would go if they could drive.
We love KnowPlace and would definitely recommend it!!! Michelle is amazing!! We have been using her for over 7 years. Whether she is coming to our home to take care of our pets or I am bringing our pets to her, she always provides excellent service. The dogs LOVE going to daycare!! All the dogs there are friendly and fun and our dogs come home exhausted!
Great place for your dog! My first dog was a senior rescue who was very grumpy but he loved going to Knowplace! He was always disappointed when we drove past without stopping!! My second dog is a puppy who has more energy than I imagined possible. The only thing that she has in common with my first dog is that she loves going to Knowplace! Michelle does a great job of accommodating different dogs and I would feel comfortable leaving any dog with her and her staff.
Michelle and her staff are the best of the best!!! Michelle has an amazing ability to work with dogs and people!!!! I have and would recommend KnowPlacePets to everyone I know!!! Michelle is a true dog whisperer !!!!!
My dog was there for 12 days..the first time my 2 year old German Shepard was away from me that long..I boarded maxx there one year ago for 7 nights..I totally trust Michelle and her staff with my dog..maxx is a handful and she knows how to handle him..I didn't want all my hard work in training maxx to be zeroed out..she reinforces all the positive behaviors and keep maxx in line..when I picked him up he was happy to see me and very well adjusted no anxiety just hopped in the car and was ready to go home...I couldn't have been happier.. It's really hard to leave your dog that long but I don't have to worry because he's in good hands. Thank you Michelle and staff your awesome..
I've been going to Michelle for years and have never been disappointed with her knowledge of and devotion to my two Dogs.
Small facility, small outside potty area. Unsanitary conditions. Very few dogs in Daycare at any given time. Would not recommend.
Best pet sitters I have ever used! I’m so glad I found them! Extremely reliable and took excellent care of my cats. .
We've been working with Bright Star for a few years now -- they're the best! They are reliable and treat our 3 dogs so well. I feel my pups are in safe hands. Kristen B has been our most recent walker and she always goes above and beyond. Many thanks to Bright Star and the team!
I have tried private dog walking services and Rover. Nothing was reliable or as good as this service. My dog is the love of my life and this company understands that and is the best thing that has happened for my baby. They are reliable, loving, and trustworthy. I can't express the gratitude I have for the last few months of care. They are there for my baby even last minute as my schedule is so chaotic. Give them a try you will not be disappointed. They give you amazing pictures and the sweetest updates.
I cannot say enough good things about Anita, Nick & Karen! They looked after our 2 cats while we were away on vacation for a week and I could not have asked for better service & care for our pets. They were kind, patient, observant & trustworthy. Being the first time I have used a pet sitter service - I was anxious. But on the first meet & greet, Anita & Nick immediately put me at ease. I met Karen on a second visit and knew that I could trust the Bright Star team with our cats. The website to set up our account, pet details, schedule visits & input our home info was easy to use and navigate. Payment methods were straightforward with competitive rates. I was provided with an app to download on my phone where I could communicate with the team and get updates, as well as manage my account. While we were away - one of our cats proved particularly difficult and the Bright Star team went above & beyond to ensure he was taken care of, as well as our other cat who was less shy & finicky. Each sitter provided a detailed report after each visit via the Time to Pet app letting us know how our cats were doing, complete with pictures. I asked A LOT of questions while we were away, and the team were patient & responsive to answer them all. I trusted Anita, Nick & Karen with my cats and our home and would 100% recommend them for pet sitting services.
Absolutely the only people I trust with my family. With 2 dogs, four cats and 2 tortoises in our home, we need a responsible company to comprehensively take care of them. No matter what, I can rely on this excellent group of people. The photo updates when I am not in town make me so happy!
We have been using Bright Star for close to five years to care for our pets when we travel and/or are away from the for extended lengths of time. Their care has always been top notch. They are reliable, trustworthy and most of all caring towards our animals. They provide photos and written updates after every visit via their customer portal which also includes emails. It gives us woo much peace of mind to see them and know they are doing well. In addition, they make sure our garbage is taken out, they retrieve our mail and water our plants. I highly recommend Bright Star.
Bright Star Pet Services are the best! They are very thorough, kind, and go above and beyond with their care. Receiving the daily updates, along with pictures taken daily of our pets, eases our minds while we are out of town. During our last trip, our flight was canceled due to weather, and we needed a last minute emergency visit of our pets. They immediately contacted us back and promptly went to check on our pets. Highly recommend. We feel so fortunate to have found the people of Bright Star!
Jessica has been taking care of our dog for over a year and a half. We interviewed several dog sitters in the area, none compared to Jessica! She had an instant connection with our dog and she was very trustworthy. She has adapted to our ever changing schedule and is more than willing to be flexible. Our dog just loves her! Jessica goes above and beyond what you would typically ask of any dog sitter. She is reliable and honest. Most importantly, she truly cares for our dog. We have recommended her to several of our neighbors and close friends. She is a STAR!
As always, I am super pleased with Bright Star Pet Services. Kris really did an outstanding job of taking care of my diabetic cat who needs insulin shots 2x per day, and my other five kitties...yes, five, who are on prescription diets. I was able to take a trip without worrying. So glad for their professional service! Would highly recommend!!!
We have been using Anita at Bright Star for 4 years to take care of our 2 German Shepherds and cat. I don’t what we would do without her over and above service. I trust them in my home and our animals love them. I am not a trusting person either. Especially with my animals. I 100% recommend them
We LOVE Lorie and her team at Canine Clubhouse! We have left our pups there overnight for boarding and also take our younger one to daycare to help him get lots of socialization. Our dogs are always so excited, barking and crying in the car to get inside once they know where we are heading. The team there is professional, knowledgeable, and so kind. We so appreciate the effort Canine Clubhouse takes to accommodate and care for our babies. One of our dogs is getting old, and the team does an excellent job making sure she has lots of attention and care. Cannot say enough positive things about them! They even took adorable fall photos for us :)
Jeff and I, love Laurie and the whole crew at Woodstock Canine Club. And, Dax does too! He has been going there for almost two years, and we have had no concern. When Dax arrived as an obnoxious pup, they were patient and super helpful with Dax (and us). We have seen Dax happy and bond with all types of fur buddies there. He gets so much exercise, attention, and love too. He has stayed for just the day and he has stayed overnight too, we recommend both.
Our pup LOVES the Clubhouse! She gets all of the exercise she needs, learns how to socialize, and the staff treat all of the animals like their own. My dog's tail is wagging when I drop her off and when I pick her up. Good sign!
We had THE BEST experience with Canine Clubhouse. We were in town to make funeral arrangements for a parent and had our 8 month old puppy with us. She was not used to being alone in a strange house so we decided to try the Clubhouse. They were absolutely wonderful. They were very kind accommodating of our situation. They took incredible care of our girl Winnie and went above and beyond to make sure she was cared for. She had the time of her life. One of the best parts was that they post daily pictures on Facebook so we can see all of the fun she was having! So much so that we have decided to send her to daycare at home. During an incredibly devastating and stressful time, canine clubhouse really supported us in making sure that Winnie was well cared for, loved, and exercised while we delt with the unimaginable. Thank you Canine Clubhouse!!!
Angus loves it here. Helped him grow up to love other dogs. Convenient for our schedules and not needing to have him fixed is great
Great staff and facility ! Only daycare that would allow me to do an early drop off so I could make it to work on time and make sure my pup has a good day too! Love the daily photo recaps of the dogs day :)
Most importantly, my dog loves it here! We use Woodstock Canine Clubhouse frequently when out of town as it's close to family and has become our dog's home away from home. He can be anxious in new places but warmed up quickly to the staff and dogs here. Super convenient to have the drop in daycare option and great availability for boarding. Also the only place my dog will cooperate for a nail trim which is priceless.
Highly recommend! Laurie and all the staff are fantastic. Myles can't wait to get in the door. We go for day care and I just took him for boarding over Christmas. I couldn't say enough about how great they have been. Thank you Club house!
Fantastic Doggie Daycare and overnight getaway for your dog. George loves it here and we are treated like family. So glad to have found a place like this.
I am an absolute crazy dog mom. The thought of bringing my dog Dixie to daycare, gave me so much anxiety. Dixie's first day at Canine Clubhouse, Dixie didn't even want to leave! When I bring her she starts crying once I pull in, and bolts to the door. They post pictures on their facebook page throughout the day of all the dogs playing, which makes me feel 10x better!! I am so amazed with this place, Dixie loves it there, they take such great care of her. This is a picture of how happy Dixie is at Canine Clubhouse!
I just adopted a 14-week-old puppy who I adore, but it is so bitterly cold and snowy out that there is no way I can safely walk him. That’s why 7 Paws a Week has been a Godsend! There is no way I would be able to provide my puppy the same outlet for energy and socialization that they do, especially in such frigid weather. When we arrive he is so excited and happy. When I bring him home he is exhausted and sleeps happily (see photo). As a bonus, his socialization and self-confidence have grown considerably. One of my favorite parts is checking their Facebook page during the day to see photos and videos of the dogs having a blast. The staff is friendly and I can tell they all love the dogs there.
We used to love this place and have spent thousands over the past year. I wish I didn't have to rate it so low, but things seemed to have changed in the past few months. Our lab had been going since he was a puppy. Doesn't have a mean bone in his body—family, friends, and strangers have commented on his sweet disposition. 7 Paws even told us he plays with dogs others won't play with. Needless to say we were surprised when they twice claimed he was aggressive with another dog. He's never displayed ANY aggression and they couldn't say what happened or why. Besides, many times he came home with scabs and it never was a concern of theirs then. There are also no webcams available to the public. It left us questioning the staff's level of training and the level of supervision overall. After the second "incident", with no previous warning, we got two differing stories from different workers on what to expect for any future visit. I wish I could say this was the first time we received mixed messages. We reached out twice for clarification—no response. I was shocked when I next picked him up and found he was in a room the size of a closet for the whole visit. He was crying, desperate to go outside and do his business, and based on how much water he needed was very dehydrated. If they replied with clear details and he was clearly in the wrong, I'd be calling our trainer to work on the issue. But no communication leaves me wondering if there isn't a good explanation. After that last visit I worry they just don't care. I guess we'll find another place that does.
Bingo loves doggie daycare. He’s always happy to see the employees. We love the videos on Facebook.
My puppy loves it runs him around until all energy is gone. Perfect for a 8 month old Rottweiler puppy. When he comes home tired all played out.
Love 7 Paws!! Couldn’t not have a pup without them!! Our 2 dogs have look forward to going there. Shout out to Jen, Alan and Gabby who put dogs and owners first!! They are great!!
My 6 month old puppy Cal has been going to a different doggy daycare for about 3 months now and loves it. Unfortunately they’re understaffed which means less dogs can be accommodated which is why I started looking at other daycares. I called and was told to get cal in for an evaluation to see how he responds to other dogs, which I expected. When I walked in and told them we were there for the evaluation the man at the front said “okay” and went to grab Cal’s leash out of my hand to bring him back. No explanation, no introduction, no tour of the building (you can not see where your dog will spend their day from just walking in the front). I had to stop him and ask if I could see where they were taking him or if they have a plan for what he would be doing while there. The man chuckled and explained he would be in a crate to start (next to what sounded like 30 other hysterically barking dogs) and then he would be slowly introduced to different sizes of dogs. Against my instinct I left and came back after this 2 hour evaluation. Upon picking him up a very nice front desk girl (who didn’t even do his evaluation) told me he was good with humans but showed dominance and aggression towards the other dogs. Like I mentioned, cal has been at a different doggy daycare that post pictures of him playing with all different sizes and breeds of dogs on their social media and I’ve never received a complaint about his behavior. I did voice my opinion on this experience to the nice front desk girl who apologized and said they have a lot of new people working. At the end of the day this daycare appears to be hiring people with no training or experience and didn’t leave me trusting them with my fur baby. Don’t settle for this place, there’s much better out there.
It reeks of dog pee when you walk in, and the front door has a crack through it. I was told the initial evaluation is free and it would be up to 6 hours. I pick up my pup at 5.5 hours and was charged $25 because it was over 3 hours. Changing the number of hours after we confirmed our pups visit today is not okay. I would have picked her up earlier. The blonde girl behind the desk didn’t even tell me how my pup did and was very rude. Said she was “enforcing the policy” regarding the hours despite other staff saying otherwise.
7 Paws is great! I have been bringing my dog, Junebug, there for over a year and have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff is friendly, professional, and accommodating. Thank you 7 Paws for watching June!
I can't say enough good things about Lauren and Andy at 7 Paws. They are amazing and provide exceptional service. We utilize the day care about 3x per week and recently boarded our dog there while we were on vacation. We were sent videos and pictures while we were gone along with email updates. They were more than flexible with our change in travel plans and even cooked for our baby while we were gone. I am so happy to have found such a great place I can trust with my best friend. I highly recommend 7 Paws to anyone looking for doggie day care and/or boarding. It is great to have a place to board your pet where they get lots of exercise and attention while making friends. My dog always looks forward going to day care and it's great after a long day at work to come home to a tired pup.
My pup had never been to a doggie day care and I was nervous to leave him. But they kept me informed as to how he was doing. They take excellent care of pups and really care for them so very very well!
I've been coming here for years since moving into the area when we needed to board our dogs. They are reasonably priced and nice people. I've used them a few times this year to board during the day while we were having work done in our home.
Been taking my German Shepard capone there for 6 years now . Great staff great service
Been bringing my dogs here since moving here in 2001 and they've taken care of my dogs so well. Love this place! Thank you to the owners for a job well done when it comes to our hyper little fur baby!❤😊 …
Great Place. Took very good care of my pup. Would definitely use them for grooming and kennel services again.
Very nice place. Take our dogs all the time when we are out of town. Clean and friendly.
Been using them for longer than I can remember . The staff and owners are all great. I recommend them whole heartedly.
Great place to board multiple dogs. Family owned
Great service, Friendly and reasonable. The best in town. 👍 …
Clean and Very Pet-Friendly!
Staff at Crystal Crest this excellent very friendly
Our pets are our children and we cannot say enough positive things about our recent experience at Bark n’ Town and the wonderful team of people who created such an incredible atmosphere for our high-maintenance boy Alfie. He’s a three-legged gentleman with a lot of separation anxiety and quite a troubling past so he requires a little extra love and attention. We took him to daycare to get familiar with the people and then proceeded to board him for several nights while we were on vacation. The staff was communicative, timely, honest, and detailed which put our minds at ease. With how precious time off is, this meant so much to us! Upon our arrival to pick him up, we noticed smiles for miles on Alfie’s face as he was excited to greet me but seemed like he didn’t want to leave. He was leaning in, ready for belly rubs and smiling while looking up at Bev and Jess. This was so heartwarming to see and the only confirmation that we needed as we believe dogs don’t lie. Their body language is so telling. We have now found our new home away from home and will be coming back! We highly recommend this facility for all of your dog's needs for peace of mind while away. Thank you so very much!!! Oh, can't forget the personalized handwritten thank you note we received in the mail! Just amazing and so appreciated. This is a family-owned small business and you will notice the warm welcome and that the owners are active participants in your pet’s care. 🐾❤️ ————— Our other pup Helly just came home from her very first stay at Bark n’ Town with her big brother Alfie. They are happy pups!!! While away, we checked in with the staff several times to confirm all was well and they couldn’t have been more prompt with the updates, always making us feel like we were the only customer. We cannot say enough good things about this facility, the incredible staff and their commitment to their services and providing the best care possible. Thank you to all the Bark n’ Town Team for being YOU! We will always trust Bark n’ Town for all of our pet care needs and highly recommend! 😊 😊 🐾 🐾 ♥️♥️
I’m conflicted about this review, because really there is nothing wrong with this place in terms of safety or physical wellbeing of your pets, and they seem to have systems in place to ensure routines and safety. but it is far from a pet resort or spa. Do visit before you book. I made the mistake of booking a trial night and paid the non refundable deposit in advance, had I visited in person I would have known this was not going to work for my high energy young vizsla. The building has about 60 kennels lined up on two long concrete corridors. The kennels open up to another indoor kennel (about twice the size of the main kennel), and the dogs get to use this extended space twice or three times a day (I forget), plus a couple on leash bathroom breaks, so the outdoor time or any stimulation is very limited. When I called to inquire, the owner said they are a pet resort and are located on 12 acres so I thought the pets would benefit from having all this land, but really they mostly use the pebble covered fenced in boxes outside for quick outings (15 minutes once/twice/three times per day depending on how much you are willing to pay). The dogs also don’t interact with each other for safety. I asked if I could get pictures every once in a while (I would have used them for a two week trip), and the owner said it would be 9.99 per picture, since manpower is expensive. I was shocked to hear this. I dropped off my pup for a trial night but ended up picking him up the same day because I knew I wouldn’t use them for longer stays (I got charged the full boarding fee but oh well). While I was picking up my pup, I saw two dogs having their 15-min interactive time outside, and there didn’t seem to be much interaction or playing. The dogs kind of sniffed around the pebbles while the minders were standing by or looking at their phones. I’m sure this place is fine if your dog is older or otherwise doesn’t need a lot of exercise or interaction, and is fine to be in a kennel for most of the day. This place didn’t work for us.
Bark 'N' Town is a great place to bring your pets for a stay when you go on trips! We highly recommend them to anyone in need of boarding a pet. The premises is maintained very clean and orderly. The staff was all kind, friendly, helpful, and genuinely excited to take care of our dog, Chippy. Chippy was happy to see us, but we could tell she had a good time with her visit!
Bailey and Zeus have had no issues in this establishment. Everyone is nice and friendly. Both of my dogs are a handful and are big dogs, so Kudos to everyone for being able to handle my boys.
I am so happy to have found Bark 'N' Town! The staff is not only extremely friendly but super accommodating to your pets stay. My somewhat nervous/skittish 4 year old pittie, Piper, was a little hesitant at first but on our tour Jessica and all the other staff members we interacted with really adhered to Piper's needs and took everything at her pace. I could tell that these people were "dog people" and not only really understood what Piper needed to feel comfortable but wanted to make her feel comfortable. Piper recently got back for a 4 nights stay at Bark N Town - I was able to call and get updates on my girl to ensure she was doing well. The staff was always able to answer all of my questions and truly seemed excited to care for Piper. We will definitely be returning for boarding and are looking into daycare for the future as well. 10/10!
I wish I could leave a million stars! I chose Bark ‘N’ Town because I was nervous about my dog staying in a large kennel with other dogs because she has a bit of anxiety. They took my dog in for our wedding weekend and I can tell they took great care of her because she was walking with them so calmly when we returned. The staff was wonderful and willing to answer any questions I had. I DEFINITELY recommend Bark ‘N’ Town if you ever need to board your dog.
Friendly staff always willing to answer questions. Our pup had no problems boarding there and was happy to come back again. We'll be considering their daycare service as well.
Love this place! We have been here for both grooming and boarding and our dog never is sad or upset when we drop her off. She is always happy and in a wonderful mood when we pick her up. They definitely put the pets first and make sure they are communicating clearly with their customers.
We boarded our small dog for a few nights over memorial day weekend and had no issues. The staff was super friendly and answered any and all questions. Would totally recommend to anyone looking for boarding services.
I was a new client to this place and I will say Sarah went above and beyond my expectations. she did a great job with my dog and it even took less time than it usually does. my girl didn't seem stressed out like she usually does when I picked her up. I will definitely be going back and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was very friendly.
This place is just disgusting! The extras you pay for such as play time, walks etc. does not happen! Spring break boarding is a joke they are way over capacity and the pets are not given love and care. This place should be shut down
I have so many wonderful things to say about this place I don’t know where to start! Let’s start with the amazing staff. They truly love what they do, every animal that walks through the doors is treated like family and is lovingly welcomed. I don’t feel worried at all dropping my dog off for daycare. My puppy has been coming here since she was 5 months old and loves daycare. She looks forward to going and willingly jumps into the car in the morning to go. She gives me a hug at drop off and then is ready to play. My doggie gets the socialization and playtime she needs and is tired and happy when I pick her up.
If it is any measure of how much my dog loves this place, he jumped out of my moving car while pulling in once only to run to the door to get in. No joke! The kind staff is amazing and so loving with the animals. The daycare/playcare is so worth the cost. The various options for boarding are quite accommodating. I highly suggest bringing your beloved fur babes here. It is clean, well kept, and the staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. You will feel at ease leaving your loved ones in their care.
Boarded all three of my dogs for four nights in the most expensive suite because I usually bring them here to get groomed, when I picked them up ALL three of them now have Kennel Cough and are vomiting non stop! This shows that they are lying about how frequently they take them out, they promised us they'd be taken out three to four times a day that is clearly a lie because their dog bed was completely soiled and I had to toss it when I picked them up. They clearly kept them in unsanitary conditions when we spent $600 to have our dogs in the best care! DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE, I WILL NEVER BRING THEM HERE TO BE BOARDED OR GROOMED AGAIN!! OAK VIEW IF YOU SEE THIS GIVE THE PARENTS OF DALE, LUNETTA, AND FLUFFY A CALL WE ARE DISGUSTED BY YOUR SERVICE, WE'VE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS FOR GROOMING!
This is a review for the wauconda location as this is the only one I toured, but since they are owned by the same owner I can't imagine it is much different. We made a reservation for our dog based on the description of the boarding options on their website. After discussing our concerns about our dog, they recommended the cottages, which sounded very nice on the website. We then showed up for a tour and when entering, the place smelled awful and in general looked dirty. The woman at the front desk appeared unprofessional and took us in the back for a "tour". She took us in the back to the cottages and I was shocked to see small wooden boxes that the dogs were in. They were stacked on top of each other, and looked absolutely disgusting. It looked like what you would see in a puppy mill. I was completely shocked at the false advertising, and generally heartbroken that anyone would send their precious dog or cat to this place. The dogs didn't have beds and were just barking and seemed extremely stressed. If you love your dog or cat please do not leave them at this awful place.
I brought my dog here for daycare 1-2 times a week. Will never bring him here again. First, when I said I wanted to bring my dog in for day care, the girl working said that was fine and to just drop him off whenever. That was it. No copies of vax records, no forms filled out or anything. Very strange. I called the Lake Zurich location to ask about this and the manager was super helpful so I gave them a 2nd chance. One day I picked my dog up from daycare and he had a bite on his ear and there was a small tear on the side of the ear as well. It wasnt a deep or a large bite mark so I chalked it up to an accident that had happened during some rough play. The next time I picked him up i found another bite and this one had gone through the ear and left a big bloody scab. I brought it up to the woman at the front desk and instead of assuring me that they would prevent this from happening again, all she did was make excuses, even telling me "well dogs play rough." Not acceptable. I shouldn't have to specifically ask you to prevent my dog from being bitten or attacked and she acted like it was a big favor of me to ask. Never went back.
I will NEVER board our dogs here again. First, one of our dogs came home with skin ripped off his neck, no one told us or bothered to clean him...but someone took the time to try to wash his harness. He was not in any daycare. Second, both our dogs are current on ALL vaccines and BOTH came home with a nasty case of kennel cough. It's cost $250 in vet bills because our rottie could barely breath and couldn't hold any food or water down. When the kennel was asked about the above, well they didn't know how he got hurt and 'no dogs are coughing'. Our dogs were there for 5 days and no where else!! I wouldn't trust that place with my dogs ever again.
We have boarded and used their daycare for the past 5 years for our labradoodle. They are great. They truly love the dogs.
Friendly, professional staff. My pup has a great time here and is always pooped afterwards (hooray!)- happy to have this facility so close to home!
First boarding place our dog actually is excited to go to. She loves the extra attention and nature walks she gets here. Staff is wonderful.
