Scottish import, professional & highly experienced caregiver.
Debs was so gracious when we made multiple changes to our sit plans at the last minute. She was flexible when we delayed our departure date and was enthusiastic about adding caring for our new rescue pup to her responsibilities. She came for a meet and greet a few weeks before the sit and showed up early on the first day to ensure the dog was comfortable. We appreciate having a wonderful local sitter and would love to have Debs stay at our house and care for our pets again.

We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!
Lani is an excellent Pet Sitter and housesitter. Communication was easy, our pet Cleo appreciated her loving care. We came home to a relaxed and happy cat. I would happily ask Lani to housesit again.
Angie and Joe have been our go-to pet sitters for our dogs, Cooper and Kona, on multiple occasions, and they consistently deliver exceptional care. Each time we've entrusted our pups to their care, Angie and Joe have gone above and beyond to ensure their well-being. Their genuine love for animals has always left us worry-free and able to fully enjoy our time away. Cooper and Kona's excitement whenever they see Angie and Joe speaks volumes about the bond they've formed. We sincerely recommend Angie and Joe to anyone seeking reliable and caring pet sitters.
Kelly and Chris are lovely people and we loved having them at the house! They were very engaged from the start, asking questions and wanting to know all the details on our pets. We were completely comfortable going away and didn’t worry during our trip knowing our kiddos were in such great hands. K & C gave us pics & updates as requested, and we loved seeing our pets have such a good time with them! They left the house in as good or better shake as it was found, laundering and folding linens and tidying up so well we could hardly tell they stayed here! They were communicative before the sit, during, and after. Kelly and Chris were the ideal sitters in every way. We’d welcome them back anytime and highly recommend them to others. Thanks you two!
Linda was an awesome pet sitter for my doggie Brodie! She gave him so much loving attention… he has some separation anxiety at 9 years old & she never left his side! She was so attentive to him & I am very grateful for that! Linda’s communication was also something I liked… we texted & chatted on the phone before her arrival & I felt very comfortable with her being in my home & with my dog. I could tell her number one reason to pet sit was her love for dogs & desire to be a wonderful companion for Brodie while I was away for the weekend! Would love to have her back anytime…
Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Just a delightful person all around. I'd love to have her come again and if you have a chance to have her housesit, jump on it. She is a gem.
Angie and her husband Joe were a great fit for our house and pet sitting needs! They kept in communication with us before our vacation started, and were able to arrive a little early so we could walk them through how various systems worked and where controls were located. Our dog bonded with Angie very quickly and I think he was hoping she would stay after we returned home :) We got regular updates and pet photos while we were traveling. Although we were out of cell phone range for several days, we never had a doubt that things at home would be just fine while they were there! They were also very flexible and understanding. Due to our flight schedule we arrived home in the middle of the night. Angie was able to feed and walk our dog, clean up and leave in the morning without waking us up! The house was left clean, the garden was thriving and our pup was happy. We are happy, and would be happy to have them back again as sitters anytime.
Ce was an amazing house sitter for our best bud Atlas. She not only took amazing care of our needy pup, she took great care of the home as well. I honestly think she left it cleaner than I left it for her! We certainly hope she is around the next time our best friend needs a friend. If you're looking for a responsible caregiver for your pets and home - look no further!
Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.
Jessica was an awesome pet sitter for my cat Fifi. She texted photos and updates everyday so I knew that Fifi was being well cared for. She was communicative and asked a lot of good questions to make sure she understood Fifi's needs. My home was equally as clean (if not more so) upon my return. I would highly recommend Jessica!

Our beloved furry family, a sprightly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and an adorably quirky Pomeranian-Poodle mix, have truly found a second home at Montage Pet Lodge while we are travelling. From the moment we first entrusted our precious pups to the care of their staff, we've been continuously overwhelmed by the exceptional level of service, care, and love our dogs receive. The staff there aren't just employees – they're passionate pet lovers who go above and beyond to ensure that every dog feels like royalty. It's evident in the way they greet our dogs with such enthusiasm and genuine affection every time we drop them off. Despite our frequent and sometimes extended trips that necessitate long stays for our dogs, we've never once returned to pick up dogs that were anything less than joyful and healthy. Our Pomeranian, who admittedly has his moments of being a bit on the spicy side, receives nothing but patience and understanding from the staff. They're incredibly accommodating, always looking for creative solutions to ensure he feels comfortable and happy during his stay. Their approach speaks volumes about their dedication to their furry guests, focusing on the well-being and happiness of each individual pet. The communication from Montage Pet Lodge is great. Whenever we phone to check in on our little ones, we're greeted with friendly voices eager to assure us that our pups have been good Boys. The peace of mind we have while we're away is invaluable. Knowing that our dogs are not just being cared for but are truly enjoying their time makes our frequent trips guilt-free. Observing our dogs bounding into the lodge, tails wagging with unbridled excitement, further reinforces that Montage Pet Lodge is like Disneyland for them. We hope that Montage Pet Lodge will continue to welcome our dogs as clients for many years to come. In a world where genuine, compassionate care for pets is golden, Montage Pet Lodge shines the brightest. For anyone looking for a place where their pets will be cherished and treated like family this is a good option.
I have a dog aggressive dog (she is great with people, but unfortunately not other dogs), and this facility takes the best care of her. In 2023 I called around all dog boarding locations in the Portland and Vancouver area, and none would accept her or the few that did wanted $100+ / day. Every time I drop her off, they are so excited tonsee her and it makes me feel so good, and that shes in the right place. Anyone with an aggressive dog or reactive dog knows how important this is. Incredibly thankful to have found this place. You can trust your dog is safe here and loved.
Best place around for daycare or boarding. Our dogs love the people and get super excited when we drop them off. Highly recommend!
This was the first time boarding my babies. They go everywhere with me and my husband. I was nervous when we dropped them off. We picked up our babies after 5 days and everything was great! They feed the girls their special breakfast and dinner, daily walks and I paid for extra playtime for them. The staff was very friendly and great when we dropped off and picked up. I will definitely be using them again.
I cannot say enough good things about these wonderful people. This is the only place I will board my very nervous cattle dog. The facility is great, but more importantly the staff have always been amazing for my dog.
This is a great place! They treat my sweet dachshund Bandit very well and seem to be very loving towards him, he usually doesn’t like to be picked up by strangers but doesn’t mind the ladies here holding him, he gets the prince treatment every time and if it wasn’t for them we would have had to cancel our month long cruise in October, I give them a call every time we drop him off to check on him and they are always very nice on the phone I have lots of trust in them and I even found out there is a live in vet teach; gives me so much peace of mind. This is a great place for anyone who loves their pet. Truly an awesome staff!!!
I do not have any complaints about this kennel. My dogs are always happy to see me when I return. They appear to have been well taken care of. I really like that they kennel my 2 small dogs together and let my two large dogs play together. They don't allow customers in the dog kennel (a good thing!!!) So I can't say much more. My dogs do come back sick most of the time but that is fairly normal in a animal sheltering type of environment. I will definitely be using their services again.
Our dog loves his stays here! Friendly and helpful staff.
We’ve used Montage many times when we can’t take our pooch with us on trips. The staff are all super friendly and seem to really care about the well-being of your pet. The kennels are all clean and seem to be well maintained and the outside dog runs are in good order. I love that you can get extra play time for your dog beyond the regular amount of time they get; that’s a nice option. You can even have the staff take your dog for a walk around the property (we don’t as our guy isn’t the best walker, so we pay for extra dog run time). We’ve tried other places and Montage beats them all paws down. Five tail wags (or stars).
Ive never had an experience that made me uncomfortable having Luci there. Always really nice and she always has a big smile when i pick her up. Worth me driving from Portland for.
This place is great! Our little one loves going here to play with all her friends. The staff is super friendly and provides a safe and comfortable environment for our dog to spend some quality time while we work. It's easy to get set up with appointments, and they are flexible when plans change. No problems to report so far 😀 …
We initially had a great experience at ADBF. The pricing was reasonable, and our Frenchie thoroughly enjoyed her visits. We started with the Train and Play package and then transitioned to daycare visits. The training sessions were helpful, and everything seemed to be going well. However, our experience changed drastically when our dog became very sick, starting with kennel cough that progressed to pneumonia. After her recovery, we decided to take a break, only to discover that our daycare package had expired, leaving us out over $300 on top of the $2,000 in vet bills and unnecessary stress. At the emergency vet, we were informed that another dog had recently been treated for whooping cough, also linked to this facility. Our advice: conduct thorough research before choosing a daycare or training center for your pet.
Our dog, Judge loves it . The staff is very special . Tyra the manager is so nice and pleasant. All are very professional and dedicated to the dogs.
Excellent staff and facilities! My grand pup has visited both the East and west locations and is currently attending puppy kindergarten. She has learned so much and comes home content and exhausted. She loves going to school!
I'm always a little nervous when looking for a doggy day care for my pets. But the crew there were so kind and understanding it made it an easy choice. The facility is clean, I got to watch my dogs have fun all day with the workers and other dogs on the cameras. The report cards were a bit of fun and honestly a good show of how much they came to know my dogs in just one day and a sign that they really cared. My dogs came back tired but very obviously happy. Happy I went with them.
I've been taking my dog here for about a year and he just loves it! As soon as we get off the freeway and turn towards it, he starts bouncing around the backseat. Couldn't be more excited to go play! The staff is really nice and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and well maintained. I've never worried about his health or safety coming here, which is huge for a facility that cares for so many animals. They do a great job, wouldn't take him anywhere else.
Staff very friendly & easy to work with... However, I was disappointed with the lack of engagement during my dog's stay (assessment day). As the pet-owner, you have access to live cameras to watch your dog throughout the day which gives you a good an idea of what they do. I think the dogs are just there walking around in a room or outside for Inside/Outside Play (so called). I didn't see any interaction from the staff with the dogs (if so VERY little), no play, no toys.... Not good for my dog unfortunately. Maybe I had too high of expectations!
My little doggie had so much fun! She seemed relaxed and happy when she came home. I appreciated that the people running it seem to really care about the dogs and got to know them personally. The report card was very cute. We'll be back!
We hadn’t brought Bailey to your facility in a long time and she needed to be re-evaluated. The people there always treat the dogs with the utmost kindness and Bailey seemed relaxed and happy when we picked her up. We have used daycare and boarding here before and will continue to do so. We have not found any other daycare boarding facility that we liked in Clark or Cowlitz County, so we’re always willing to drive an hour to board her. Highly recommended! Thanks, Ross & PJ
Wonderful daycare and training! The report cards for every day my puppy, Bubs, is there, the report card how what he did, how he did, and videos of his training. This is so helpful to know in order to continue the same training at home. The yearbook, pictures, and frozen treats you have are great added bonuses!! A Dog's Best Friend, you are the Best!!
My girl started off a timid rescue. Wet Noses has been amazing! They have really helped her to find her confidence with other dogs and people. They are great at communicating, sending emails when vaccines are due, info on the dog exhibiting sickness or other issues. My dogs looks forward to her days at Wet Noses, whining with excitement when we pull into the parking lot. I recommend them to everyone!
Wet Noses and Wagging Tails is awesome! I take my two dogs there every week and they always come back happy and tired. Staff is very friendly and flexible with drop off times. I love that they take photos of the dogs during the day too. I would recommend them for any dog owner! Thanks for taking care of these crazy dogs, Wet Noses and Wagging Tails!
We have been using wet Noses for multiple years, for both weekly daycare and boarding. The staff is amazing and truly care about your dogs. Both dogs are excited eveytime we pull up and exhausted when we pick them up. We have and will continue to recommend. They are AMAZING!!!!
This was Buddy’s first time going to doggy daycare so we were kinda nervous about how it might go. Buddy is a very high energy Aussie so we were concerned that he might be too much. Our concerns were for naught. Employees at Wet Noses & Wagging Tails are well experienced with high energy dogs and were actually excited to meet Buddy. Buddy had a great time and the best part was, he was totally exhausted! 😆
Our dog Cooper absolutely loves WNWT. He gets so excited he starts barking as soon as we turn onto the road leading to it. It is reassuring when your pet is so excited about being left at doggy daycare. He’s never responded that way to anywhere else we’ve ever taken him. He comes home tired and happy every time! Thank you WNWT staff for loving him and taking such good care of him!
We just started taking Sadie to daycare and boarding and she loves it. She is so excited to go for either the day or a sleepover. The staff is absolutely wonderful with dogs. I mean look at the grin Sadie has, that says it all. She’s one happy dog!
This review is long overdue. My spoiled princess has been going to Wet Noses for some time now and I sometimes think she may love them more than she loves me. Their love for everyone's babies is hard to miss, they treat each and every pet as of it was their very own. I'm so thankful to have found them to help me in caring for my Mina🌹! 🐾
Our dog, Maddie, has been attending doggie day care since she was a pup. We love the time she spends at WNWT knowing she is loved and is safe interacting with her buddies and the friendly staff.
The best thing that could have happened to us and for our pup Regal is finding Wet Noses & Wagging Tails! From day 1, the staff has been just awesome! Her 1st day of school at just 4 months old all the staff really took care to nurture her timid personality. Regal completely feels at home there now and all the staffers have been so kind watching her grow up. W just LOVE that she can stay in doors with her friends when wet and cold out or outside on nice dry days. It has helped her so much in learning to socialize and more importantly to get her very much needed exercise fix. She just loves it, can't wait to rush in to her pals and when the day is done strolls out nice and tuckered out from a long day's play. Thank you so much WN & WT!!
We were so nervous taking our (also nervous) dog to daycare and boarding for the first time. Our fears were quickly averted - they are helpful, friendly, and above all they love the dogs! I appreciated the extensive vet checklist and the fact that every dog goes through a temperament test before being admitted into the facility. It makes me feel like my dog is safe around all the other dogs. Love the photos and updates, couldn't be happier with the service.
If you're looking for an alternative to the impersonal experience of using an app to find a random pet sitter - I can't recommend Leave It To Shoo! highly enough. She's easy to set up with (just 1 short visit to determine pet needs) and very communicative while you're away - provides daily updates and pictures of your pets. (Examples pictured) My pets were loved and taken care of by Shoo while I was away - and that's all than you can ask for!
We have had the best experience possible with Leave it to Shoo for the past 3 years. It is such peace of mind to know that our cat is being so well taken care of while we are away. Shoo has the key to our home on a permanent basis; we trust her implicitly. She always either answers her phone or gets back right away when we need to book her. She never has a problem working us into her schedule. Shoo brings in the mail, makes sure the house is secure, and always leaves a note and extra food and water for our cat on the last day. The litter box and surrounding area are kept immaculate. We can tell that Olaf has had a great time while we are gone because he is not vocal or clinging when we get back! They play together and Shoo gives him lots of love. We have no hesitation recommending Leave it to Shoo for in-home pet care!
Sharon was absolutely wonderful with all our animals (fish, parrot, cats, dog)! She sent us daily pictures and updates on how everybody was doing while my family was absent, and communicated very quickly and competently in handling a prickly situation with our not-too-friendly dog. She reads animal behavior very well, is very responsible and resourceful, and we highly recommend her services.
Shoo's been our go-to cat sitter for several years and has been great! She sends daily updates with pictures and keeps our plants alive as well. She is super reliable and responds very quickly. We'll definitely continue using her services for years to come!
Shoo is the BEST! My cat is afraid of everything and everyone, and he warmed up to her right away. She took great care of him while I was away for 2 weeks, and gave me such peace of mind. 10/10 would recommend
Sharon is amazing! I recently moved to the area and, on a short notice, had to find a pet-sitter for my dog and a cat for a few days. Sharon took such a good care of them! My dog can be a little mischievous, so Sharon even built "a fort", so my dog wouldn't get to the cat's stuff. When I got back, pets looked happy and well taken care of. Sharon kept in touch me regularly, informing on how everything is. She definitely does more than just pet-sitting - she even texted me to make sure I landed ok and am safe on the way home. Thank you, Sharon! We just love you!
Sharon is an excellent pet sitter. Sharon pet sat for a week. She took special care of my kitty (a cancer survivor) who needed daily medication. In addition she took care of 2 other cats, and 2 rabbits. Daily she texted me with an update and made helpful suggestions. When I got home, the kitchen was spotless and the animals well cared for. I would use her again.
Shoo is very professional, gives attention to detail, and is a very caring provider for animals. Along with myself, several family members have also used her services. We have known Shoo even before she went into this business, and we trust her completely with our home and animals.
Shoo is great with our 3 cats. She has been cat sitting for us for a few years now and they love her! She is very professional and easy to get ahold of. I am so happy we found her!
Sharon is the best pet sitter. My 2 cats love her.She keeps me informed of what's going on. She texts me pictures. She also is nice to bring in my mail or water my flower pots. Those little things mean a lot.
Susie's is absolutely amazing! Our Kono loves it there! Everyone there is so sweet and take such wonderful care of our little princess. Drop off and pick up is easy and smooth. She was excited to see us but didn't want to leave either! I highly recommend Susie's I'd give a 10 if I could!
I'd never boarded my dogs before. I always had house sitters. I tried Susie's and I was pleased. My dogs seemed happy when I picked them up and didn't smell. When I took them back the second time they seemed happy to be there, so obviously no hard feelings from before. The folks were easy to work with and the check in, check out process was smooth. Nice job folks!
I was helping friends while they were on vacation in Greece. I had to pick up and drop off Barnum, their dog, several times. The staff that work here are so wonderful. You can tell right away how much they love all the pets. I would definitely recommend Susie's and if I had a pet I would not take it anywhere else. You guys are the best.
If I were a dog, I would want my owner to board me at Susie's. Joking aside, I've used Susie's to look after my 3 dogs many times over the last couple of years and have had a consistently excellent experience. I have no doubt how much the people who work there love animals, it shows, and it gives me total peace of mind leaving my boys with them. Additionally, they are wonderful people, kind and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough.
This is the only boarding facility where I wasn’t worried about the well-being of my 3 pups while I was away. Adorable and thought setup. Friendly owner. Extra clean facility. Fair prices. The only kennel we’ll use in Vancouver. Make sure you book early- they are popular and space is hard to come by!
Greatest place and group of folks in the world. If you want a great safe place for your pet to stay at look no further! Absolutely love this place. Suzie, Bobby and Sarah are awesome!
Love Susie's. The dogs are always pleased to go and they seem to take good care of them.
This place deserves all of the awards it can get. And so do the people. I’ll never take my dog anywhere else. Susie’s Country Inn is amazing.
I NEVER leave my dog! However I had to board him for several days & I'm so fortunate a friend told me about Susie's. Welcoming, clean, wonderful staff, excellent care of my baby and reasonably priced. Years ago I had a bad experience leaving my dog so I am very critical of any facility. Susie's ticks all the boxes. You can safely entrust your fur baby to their care.
Susie is a fantastic trainer and she runs an excellent, clean facility that cares about you and your dogs. We have had to leave town fairly frequently and Susie has been dependable, her staff is friendly, the drop-off process is thoughtful and clear. I can't say enough about the facility itself; it has a great vibe. It's welcoming and professional. I know my pets are safe. We feel so very fortunate to have Susie and her team to care for our pets when life takes us out of town. Would recommend, thank you.
Jane has done drop-in visits for my two cats when I’m away for about a year now and I cannot say enough good things about her. She has gone above and beyond at every visit from learning how to administer eye drops to my cat to bringing in delivered packages from the front door. She is so caring and her love for animals shows at every visit. One of my cats has high anxiety and doesn’t like most people. Jane has learned to care for him while acknowledging his anxiety and sensitive personality. I’ve never felt so free to travel without worry of my pets at home. I highly recommend Jane to anyone looking for care for their animals when they are away!
Jane always takes such good care of our animals, making sure our dog has everything he needs on his walks and giving our cats lots of love. Very professional and caring!
We had the pleasure of having Jane from Preferred Pet Sitting take care of our beloved birds for a week, and I cannot praise her enough for the outstanding care she provided. From our first interaction, Jane was not only professional but also genuinely caring towards our pets. She took the time to understand their routines, preferences, and needs to ensure they were comfortable and well-cared for in our absence. Jane’s attention to detail was impeccable; she kept us updated with daily texts and photos, which brought us great peace of mind. It was evident from these updates that she went above and beyond in her duties, engaging our birds and ensuring their environment was clean and enriching. We wholeheartedly recommend Jane to any pet owner looking for a reliable, compassionate, and skilled pet sitter.
You will not find a better sitter than Jane! She is reliable, professional, and most important, good with the animals. I appreciate that she reports out the visit and includes pictures of their time together. My chihuahua warmed up to her immediately and loves his cuddle time on the couch with her. She makes us feel like our animals are the only ones in the world; she treats them like family. We consider HER family. Simply the best in town!!
Jane at Preferred Pet Sitting is a top tier pet sitter. No matter what type of pet I've added to my menagerie, I know she'll take care to understand and meet their needs. She sends thoughtful updates which helps me (an anxious pet "mom") feel secure knowing that my little guys are in good hands. 😊 I would recommend Preferred Pet Sitting to anyone looking for really loving and responsible care for their pets.
Jane has done drop in visits for my cat on several of my vacations. She takes great care of my feisty cat, who looks forward to her visits. I also love having someone check on my house daily. I highly recommend this service.
Jane is such an excellent cat sitter. It’s hard to find people that are so good with cats specifically. Our cat is clearly in a good mood after we get home.
I always had trouble leaving my cat at pet hotels, until I found Tiny’s! They treated my sweet boy like a king, I picked him up and he was happy, energetic and very well fed. He usually leaves hotels very depressed, that was not the case here. I cannot stress enough just how amazing the service was. He had his personal room, but was consistently let out to explore the facility. He had his own cat tree, scratcher and litter box. They also sent me updates of him consistently as well, which added an extra layer of peace of mind while away. If you’re not sure where to leave your fur baby, I promise you this is the place!
I really liked Tiny’s until something went wrong. We have four cats who have stayed at Tiny’s probably four times. We had a vacation planned for this week over new years, but had to cancel last minute. We had no warning, and my wife asked me to call Tiny’s since she couldn’t stop crying. I called Tiny’s within 20 minutes of us finding out. I was apologetic. My voice was shaking because I was pretty disappointed too. I explained the situation and said that I was very sorry, I understood we wouldn’t get our $150 deposit back and again, I’m very sorry. Denise at Tiny’s was very quiet through the whole interaction, at the end all she said was “I’m sorry to hear about your trip” Two minutes later I hear my wife burst out sobbing again. They sent her a text message letting us know that they no longer wanted us as clients. If I had known, or Denise given any indication on the phone I would have tried to make it right. I probably would have paid the whole amount because Tiny’s is convenient and we’ve enjoyed patronizing their business. There was no warning, Denise decided to punch my wife in the stomach over a lost $450 after keeping our deposit, while we were in the middle of cancelling 12k worth of reservations. I would have been totally fine with paying ahead of time, we’ve spent a lot of money there, but instead of discussing financial impact, expressing any displeasure whatsoever, or giving us a chance to repair the relationship, Denise retaliated viciously. I have advocated for this business, I have suggested it to friends. I regret that, because they clearly have zero respect for their customers. Denise made a terrible day worse with zero thought for her customers. Denise told us to get lost during our worst day in recent memory with no remorse. I will not be patronizing this business further, and I hope anyone reading this takes their behavior into consideration before doing business with Denise.
We were having some work done at our home and needed to find a place to board our fur baby. We spoke with the owner Denise and toured the location. At Tiny's each cat gets their own room. Accommodations come with a bed, litter box, cat tree and a bubble window for them to lay in and look around. They take turns letting each cat guest out of their room to roam around, if they desire. Our cat stayed at Tinys for 3 nights and was in no hurry to leave upon pick up. We appreciated the daily photos and updates, which helped ease my anxiety about leaving him. He even received a gift bag with goodies when he departed. Thank you all for taking such good care of our Gatito!!
Tiny's Place took great care of our two cats while we were traveling for over a week. The room setup worked well for our scaredy cat, who always needs a retreat where he feels safe. They are clearly committed to the cats in their care, as well as helping improve the lives of cats beyond their boarding facility.
My two elderly cats stayed together at Tiny’s this past weekend for 5 nights! Everything went so smoothly. Staff was ready and waiting at check in, made sure my two had their own bedding in place, familiarized themselves with the things I brought: dry food, wet food pouches, snacks (treats), toys, food bowls. While I was gone, they sent several pics. Checkout went just as smoothly. My kitties seemed like they had a great time and were well cared for. Worth every penny.
I had to find a safe place to host my five month old kitten while I needed an unplanned hospital stay. I was so glad to have been recommended Tiny's Place and that there was availability. I knew from the first conversation I had with Denise that my Finley would be safe and well cared for while I was away. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will return for any future needs.
I am so happy and thankful I found Tinys and left my cat for a couple weeks. They sent me pictures and kept me up to date during my trip. Owners are kind and I will definitely recommend to everyone and will use again!
Trigger Warning: Traumatic Injury and Euthanasia *Update - owner says in comment below from their POV cat left intact because husband did not say anything when he picked her up. She did not walk until she exited the carrier. The cat was dropped off with no skeletal injury and came home with a spiral fracture on her left hind tibia and fibula. The fact the owner insinuates anything other than that is another reminder to take your business and your pet's life elsewhere. We left our cat at Tiny's healthy and able to walk over the weekend, and upon pick-up she was unable to walk with a severe inoperable injury and we were forced to euthanize her over severe pain. Please - our guilt at leaving our baby at this business is heavy, so please be sure to do your due diligence when thinking about leaving your loved one here. Our 19 year-old sweet baby grey girl had recently gone blind and we had to leave her over the weekend with Tiny's place for a second time. The first time was without incident. This time, she was dropped off on a Friday afternoon in good health other than blindness and generally a bit slower than her last visit. She has not jumped on anything for several months as her blindness set in. We received one photo (attached) of our girl on Monday evening where she appears unwell. On Tuesday afternoon, we picked her up at closing time (5pm) and her blanket was full of urine. When we got home and she left the carrier, she had a severe limp on her left hind leg. We took her to the urgent care at our vet, who x-rayed and diagnosed a spiral fracture of the tibia/fibula of her left hind leg (picture attached), an injury often seen in traumatic motor vehicle accidents or large amounts of twisting force. The vet said the break looked indicative of being stepped on or pulled while the leg was in place. It was deemed inoperable and she was given pain medication and the opinion to euthanize to end her suffering as the most humane option. When we called Tiny's, Kendrick was not aware of any such injury despite the severity of it (it was very obvious when she walked with a severe limp and she needed help to use the litter box). Denise the owner called back promptly and denied knowing anything about such a severe injury. She said that Kendrick was adamant about cleaning bedding twice a day, but we picked up at closing and her bed was urine-soaked. She mentioned first that Angel did not leave the enclosure all weekend, but then said later that she did walk to the threshold to drink water. We gathered her belongings and spent the evening looking at pictures, sharing songs from favorite memories with her, showing her her favorite old toys, letting our daughter and family members say goodbye, and helping her to the bathroom and took her on her last walk in my arms at sunset. I talked through all of the different cities and homes she had lived with me throughout my 20s and 30s - she knew me from college and as I transformed into who I am today. It was so difficult to say goodbye so suddenly and to have to make that decision when she was healthy in other regards - it was terrible. We will never know exactly what happened, but we do know that we'll never get our time with our girl back or our vet bill for diagnostics and end of life care. She had 9 lives - she first survived living on the streets when I adopted her at 6 weeks old in 2003, and since then has overcome hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, getting lost in another country, blindness - so to have this be her ending when it wasn't her time yet was so hard. I recommend thoroughly vetting your boarding choices - there are choices that pay high attention to your loved ones in the Portland/Vancouver area and might be able to report to you how such a traumatic injury happened in their care. Or consider in-home care instead - we will only do that moving forward if we get a new furry friend.
First and foremost, THANK YOU to the entire Tiny's staff for loving and caring for our baby Solomon; we are so very grateful, and customers for life now! We would give Tiny's 10 stars if we could! To know that we have such an amazing cats only boarding facility near us brings us great joy and comfort. We can go on a vacation, and know that Solomon is in excellent hands. 🙏🏼 We were worried because Solomon had never been away from us for longer than a night, so we truly did not know what to expect. Our expectations were exceeded though; all worry flew out the window. Also, thank you so much for the bag of goodies upon picking him up. He just loves his new blue mouse! 💙 His very first cat toy was a blue mouse actually, and he would play with that blue mouse even after it was missing most of its fur, it's eyes, it's ears, it's tail; nothing but a little falling apart pea body left, lol. P.S. We were so tired; 2 hours of sleep, and adjusting back to PST upon picking him up, that we forget his medication, and we would have forgot our heads too, were they not attached to our bodies! His medication was actually delivered to our front door! That is AWESOME service; above and beyond, and definitely worthy of noting 📝 THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! 😻
WOW! So excited to have found a wonderful, caring, "homey" place for our sweet kitties to spend a couple of weeks while we were on vacation during the last two weeks! We were fretting about what we would do with our precious brother/sister bonded pair of young kitties as we were planning our vacation, and we were so fortunate to have happened upon Tiny's Place in Hazel Dell. We took the time to make an appointment for a visit before we decided to board them there, and we were so impressed with the thoughtful and well designed facility and especially the staff, who are obvious kitty lovers and so attentive to the cats left in their professional care. We loved that we received very frequent updates and PHOTOS (yay!) of our kitties enjoying their stay, exploring their new environment, playing with their toys, napping in their hideaways, and watching "bird television," which they loved! We appreciated the regular updates on how they were doing and especially how they were adapting to their home-away-from-home, since we've never left them anywhere since we got them as kittens about 18 months ago. One of our kitties is shy and sensitive to noises and sudden movements, and he adapted so well and so quickly to his new environment that we quickly relaxed knowing that he was going to be okay in his new digs while we were away. It made it possible for us to really enjoy our vacation, knowing just how well our kitties were being cared for. Knowing they were safe and happy meant the world to us! When my husband came to pick them up upon our return a couple of days ago, it was almost as if they didn't want to leave -- they were that happy being at Tiny's! We want to thank the great staff at Tiny's for caring as much for our kitties as we care for them at our home. They obviously were well attended. We will be boarding our kitties at Tiny's when we go on our next vacation, since we know it will be a great vacation for them as well -- they will get to binge on bird TV! :-)
I had been searching for someone to drop by a couple of days a week to give my dogs some exercise and potty break while I was at work. Happy Tails has been my go to! Lisa, has been really easy to work with and accommodating of my schedule that can often change. My dogs are excited to see her and I know are well taken care of.
Lisa has been walking my pup Charlie twice a week for several months now. She is reliable, easy to work with and always texts me with any important updates. We are very grateful to have her help during the day and would definitely recommend her services.
Lisa went above and beyond when taking care of our 5 month old Bailey. She not only took wonderful care of him but also continued the training we started, continued socializing him and the house was spotless when we came home. And when I say above and beyond I mean it! She even drove out to the airport before we left to bring something important that I had left home. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent dog/house sitter. If I could give 10 ⭐️ I would!
We love Lisa and her team! Always super reliable and she loves our dogs like her own. One of our dogs, prior to her passing, required timely medication for seizures and I felt so comfortable knowing I could leave her and know that she would be well cared for if she were to have a seizure while we were gone. Adapts and is able to accommodate your pets regular routines. Clean and tidy house guest too for those overnight stays :) didn’t even know she was here. Highly recommend Lisa and her team at Happy Tails Pet Sitting & More!
When you want a dog sitter to really take care of and love and spoil your dogs, call Lisa. The dogs seem to all love her so much and get so excited when they see her. I know they’re in good hands when I leave home.
Lisa Eagen has been a Godsend to us and our elder dogs! She's patient and careful with them, good with administering meds. Plus, she always treats our home with the utmost care. Can't recommend highly enough!
We have known Lisa for about a year now and highly recommend her. The first time she came over to visit, our dogs went right to her like they were reuniting with an old friend. She is so kind and caring with our pets that we recently referred her to our neighbor. We especially appreciate that Lisa will work with us to best accommodate our older pets who need meds and a lot of TLC. Lisa is a true professional with a huge heart and your pets will love her. E. Axtell
Lisa was recommended to us through an acquaintance and she agreed to meet with us and meet our dog to see if it might work out. She worked diligently with our pup to build repor with him and has been very helpful in improving his walking on a lead. She is very communicative and keeps me posted on how his walks and pet sitting are going. I can leave my home confident that my pet is in good hands. Highly recommend Happy Tails to anyone wanting a down to earth and loving companion for your beloved furr babies when you cannot be there.
Lisa is wonderful! We moved to the area recently with 2 high anxiety dogs who can not be alone. So running errands have been hard on us. But with finding Lisa we are now able to do errands on our days off. And my dogs enjoy her presence. I highly recommend her and her business!
Lisa is one of the best in the business. I would know bc I have been through a few before meeting her. She made all of my fears about leaving my dog and house while I was away fade away. I can honestly say that I can now can go on trip without worrying about who is going to watch my dog and no longer will miss out on trips that don’t allow dogs. I never worry when I know Lisa is coming 🥰 Lisa is amazing, patient, loving, professional, knowledgeable, caring, and affectionate. She is the type of person that would rescue a stray animal, help a stranger in need, be the first to welcome a new person to town, …..and the person you would want to watch your precious fur baby. Knowing that she is this type of person, I always have the most confidence in leaving my precious puppy and my home in her hands. She is great a communicator - takes pics and videos of my puppy while I am gone. She leaves the house immaculate after a long stay (while we’re away) and I swear that sometimes it’s even better condition than it was when we left. Lisa is a rare find. A genuine person. And we feel like we hit the jackpot when we found her. We love Lisa. Schedule one appointment with her and you will not regret it
My old pet sitters left and I was left to find a new company to hire. I don’t like trusting people right away, but Deanna made me feel like family right away. Lanie walks my pup Chorizo and sends me the cutest pictures of them together enjoying time and lunch 2-3 times per week. I LOVE seeing my baby so happy, and I am so lucky to find a company who cares for my pet like their own. Thank you Deanna and Lainey for your love and care of my boy! Highly recommend these amazing people to care for your pets.
Adam and Deanna are awesome. We recently adopted a female German Shephard and needed someone to check in on her while we attended an event; it was her first time alone etc. Adam and Deanna too great care of her while we were gone, even provided a nifty little report of their visits of what they did during each visit. We will definitely be using Ohana Pet Sitters again and we highly recommend their services. Thank you so much for taking good care of our girl Gigi!!
Was in the middle of an MS exacerbation and was unable to walk my furbaby. Though I was not an established client, they made sure that my ESA dog was walked throughout the day and evening, they even took and shared some photos. Ohana is now my go-to dog walkers and when needed, my sitter. Fantastic job, fabulous people, and my Wally LOVED them!🐶🐾🐶🐾
They were so amazing checking in on my two cats while I was away for a week. Sent photos and left notes at each check in. I wasn't worried or stressed about leaving my cats in their care. Even left the space clean and tidy! I will absolutely be using them again. ❤️
I cannot say enough good things about Ohana Pet Sitters and Deanna and Adam. These are the people you want caring for your fur babies. Our two dogs absolutely LOVE their stays with them. We get tons of photos of them having fun, as well as daily updates, which always puts my mind at ease. Ohana Pet Sitters is wonderful and I highly, highly recommend them!
Adam and Deanna have walked Kiwi (my Chihuahua) many times and she LOVES them. Kiwi always looks so happy and comfortable with them so that's a green flag for me. Adam and Deanna are kind, punctual, sincere and gentle with all animals. 10/10 recommend
Adam & Deanna are amazing! They made our vacation care free knowing our doggies were getting such great care! They have amazing communication! They have an app, send you emails, and I could text them about anything. They are so caring and nice! They were wonderful and will definitely be using them in the future! Thank you for taking such great care of my girls!
Adam and Deanna took care of our two cats over a 4 day vacation. We have an older cat that needed some special attention due to an injury and they were so accommodating and communicative the entire time. They clearly love animals so much and did a bunch of things that were helpful to us even without asking (like bringing in some of the packages on our porch, cleaning up litter around the box, etc.). We will use them again and would absolutely recommend them to take care of your fur babies! Side note: I've known Adam since we were 12 years old, and he's been an animal lover as long as I've known him. I remember one of the first things we talked about was our love for our pets (we both owned reptiles). He's an absolute stand up guy!
Deanna and Adam are amazing and super professional! They walk our Bernese mountain dog puppy weekly and tire him out! He gets to socialize with their dog as well, which is great! Our pup is always tired after a day with them!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Adam and Deanna and their sweet pups! When we started looking for a pet sitter, our older dog was recently attacked and was healing mentally from her bad experience. She was reactive (still can be a struggle) but she warmed up to Adam and Deanna quickly. They introduced her to their lab and we were shocked that they hit it off! That relationship helped heal her and a year ago we were able to introduce an Aussie brother to her. We never would have been able to be where we are without them. We are so incredibly grateful for their help. Could not recommend them more! They have expanded their team and everyone has been amazing.
Our family gives "four paws up" to Mae and Whistle NW Doggy Daycare, where we adopted our amazing lab puppy, Willow, one year ago. Mae had been caring for our girl for about two months and preparing her to find her forever home. We brought home a well-socialized, well-trained pup. Since then, we have continued to board with Mae when we travel and reach out to her as a resource. She is knowledgeable, a great communicator and the biggest dog lover you'll ever meet. We highly recommend Whistle Doggy Daycare, whether you are adopting or boarding. (The picture with the kids shows our first meeting with Willow at Mae's place; the other pictures show what a fun, energetic dog she has grown into.)
Mae with Whistle NW is amazing! We adopted our deaf puppy from Mae and she truly went above and beyond with her care and training for our Ducky! She set him up so well given his special needs and we are so happy we were able to adopt him from Mae! We often send Ducky back to Mae for boarding and he LOVES to go back and see Mae and the fam and all his puppy friends! I do not have enough good things to say about Whistle NW. We are so lucky to have found our special guy from Whistle NW.
Mae is simply amazing! Her knowledge about dogs is unparalleled, and she has the biggest heart. Mae takes in so many dogs as rescues and works tirelessly to find them loving homes. We were fortunate enough to have her place our puppy, Willow, with us. She thoroughly vetted us to ensure Willow was going to the right family, and we couldn't be happier. Whenever we go out of town, we trust Mae to board Willow, knowing she is in the best hands. Mae's dedication and love for dogs are truly inspiring. Highly recommend her services!
This place is amazing! We just adopted our new puppy Padmé (Nugget) and couldn’t be happier. From start to finish, they have been amazing at making sure everything went smoothly. We have been looking for a while for the perfect puppy to add to our family and then we found her! Now our family is complete! We would definitely look into them when looking to add to our family in the future as well as using them for boarding our dogs. Thank you so much!! ❤️
My little dude absolutely LOVES his time at Mae’s! Ollie is now an 8 month old Aussiedoodle with some separation anxiety issues and Mae was super kind and encouraging both during our initial assessment and the times he stayed with her. She gave us lots to work on at home and we both saw definite improvements in Ollie’s ability to self soothe and calm in the crate. He gets excited when we pull into our street and Mae has been so incredibly accommodating of my weird work schedule as well as my lil pup’s eccentricities. I feel so grateful knowing he’s not only being looked after in a safe environment, but that he’s encouraged to play and be social with both people and dogs. I’m so grateful to Mae and feel so lucky to have connected with Whistle Dog. (Pic is one that Mae sent during a day-sitting - happy happy dude!)
This is the best kept secret in Vancouver, but shouldn’t be! I was gone 9 days and my regular place was closed so I reached out to Mae! What an amazing experience for me as a long time user of various dog boarding facilities over 16 years. By far this is my favorite place! Mae does such a great job with updates and pics, I just picked up my Aussie after 9 days boarding and she is happy, tired, and all smiles! I will not hesitate to refer this facility and add a HUGE recommendation. Thank you, Mae for caring for my fur kid while I traveled 😊- Brandi
Our 5 month old doodle loves going to daycare with Mae. I’m so grateful for Whistle NW. Mae is a dog person to her core, so it’s easy to trust her completely with our Ozzy. I love that Mae is very responsive by text and we get fun updates and photos throughout the day. If you’re looking for someone to love on your pup, look no further.
Whistle NW Doggy Daycare and Boarding watched our two fur-babies in September while we were out of town. Mae was very patient and responsive to my helicopter Mom tendencies. At pickup both my kids looked like they had a fabulous time while we were off! I will absolutely use their services again.
So happy to have found Mae and Whistle NW Doggy Daycare. Our dog is such a social guy with a lot of energy and really thrives best when he gets to go to daycare at least a couple times a week. He absolutely loves coming to Whistle and has so many friends there. Mae is amazing and so helpful. She has a love for animals that I have never experienced before. I wholeheartedly feel confident every time my guy spends the day or overnight at Whistle. I highly recommend this daycare/boarding if you are looking for someone to love your dog as much as you do.
I cannot even begin to tell you how fantastic Mae was with our boy! We were traveling through town and needed an (unexpected) dog daycare! Mae was so gracious in letting Scottie join the crew for two days, but still made sure to do a full check for behavior, vaccinations, etc., before we showed up. If I lived in Vancouver, she would be my go to doggie daycare. She sent updates throughout the day and Scottie was so excited to go back the next day. ( I have never seen him that excited for daycare!) 11/10 service and love!
Most of the employees are nice and love my dog but the manager is extremely rude.Several times the staff gave us various times for drop off and, after calling to make sure, an employee said I had a window in which to drop off my dog. Upon arrival the next day the manager told me "this was not what was communicated to you" - basically calling my husband and I liars, wouldn't take my dog for the day (because I was 13 minutes late, although within the window I was given the previous day), and said she was doing us a favor by "accommodating" our dog.I acknowledged that I had missed the cut-off time, and understood she couldn't accept him that day, but disagreed with her about what had "been communicated to me." If she and her staff had made it clear that I must arrive by 10 am, then obviously I would have done so and not at 10:13.I am not unreasonable nor am I stupid.I can tell time and I don't expect special treatment.I said I'd like to talk to the owner and asked for their name, so I would know who I would be talking to, and she said she was "unable to disclose that information."And then she said she was finished arguing with me and walked away.Who treats customers like that? The owner of the business is a secret? We spend thousand of dollars a year here in day care and boarding.I deserve to be treated respectfully, have my questions answered and receive clear, consistent communication.I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and do do not recommend this place, solely on the consistently appalling treatment we, as paying customers, have received from this manager.I will not be so indiscreet as to name her but the owners need to know she is driving customers away.
We have nothing but praise for Mountain View Play and Stay. We use them both for boarding and daycare/socialization. The staff members go above and beyond to help our (sometimes quite nervous) dog have good experiences. The regular, controlled socialization has made a very positive difference in our dog's demeanor and sense of well-being around other dogs. We also appreciate the thorough screening procedure, the attention to detail regarding health records, and the friendliness of the staff towards us humans us well. 5-star for sure!
My dog loved his stay - they sent pictures of him on the second or third day showing him playing outside. His tail was up and he was racing around. So glad we found a new home away from home for our beloved little chihwienie.
My little miss marigold loves her daycare days here. I also appreciate the occasional pictures they take since they don't have live cams to watch your pup playing.
Staff is very kind and interested in the comfortability of your dog. Prices are very competitive for their boarding service and it's veterinarian owned. If anything is to happen the vet clinic is right next door! Will never be using Rover again.
These folks are one of a kind! If you want a safe, fun, loving and comfortable home away from home for your puppies this is where they belong. All the staff were so pleasant to work with, reasonable, and particularly accommodating to all our pups needs. We had an extended boarding need due to the emergency situation at our home. We were temporarily displaced as a result and it was stressful for everyone except for our dogs thanks to Mountain View. Savannah and Autumn were particularly amazing members of the staff! Olive and Smokey forever love you guys!
Love, love, love this place! Pam and her staff are wonderful, patient, kind and loving with our dog, Mac. He gets so excited that his whole body shakes when we ask him if he wants to go see "friends". He knows that means going to Mountain View Play and Stay for a day of fun or for boarding. The staff works hard to assess each dog's personality and compatibility to ensure that all the dogs have constructive and positive interactions with the other dogs. We also appreciate that they have been keenly observant and have pointed out some minor health issues with our dog that may have gone unnoticed by us. We really can't say enough good things about this place. My husband and I highly recommend them.
I have been taking my dog to Mt. View Play and Stay since he was 4 months and he is now 2 years old. The staff take an keen interest in the dogs and how they interact with each other. I can just call the same day and ask if there is room and they say “bring him in”. They have adapted well to the coronavirus and now come to the car to pick him up. Staff members are positive and definitely love dogs. My dog loves going to doggie daycare!!
Mt View has extremely compassionate, well trained people who happen to love dogs. My dog nearly jumps out the car window when we pull into the driveway. The staff are very transparent and excel at communication with the owner. They are fantastic!
This is what the dogs say Bark bark, sniffle scratch, bark wper turn circle and chase tails. Our dogs love the place and playing with their friends
