Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Natalie and Christian were dream pet sitters while we were out of the country for 2.5 weeks. From start to finish, they were reliable and professional, with excellent communication. They had took great care of our dog and chickens and left the house and car in great shape. Plus, they’re just a really sweet young couple. We’d highly recommend them as house sitters.
Caitlyn, KJ, and their pup Sully were excellent house guests and pet sitters, and we would highly recommend them! I was able to meet Caitlyn and KJ prior to them house sitting for us, and we are always super appreciative when sitters are able to make that work and are willing to take time out of their schedule to come over and get the lay of the land. Their dog Sully was full of good boy energy and was a great playmate for our two Golden Retrievers. During the stay, Caitlyn & KJ sent us photos every day and followed all of our instructions for pet care to a T. They were super self-sufficient and gracious guests that left our place looking just like it did when we left, and we were very at peace knowing that our dogs were in great hands, getting lots of exercise, and romping around with new friend Sully. Don't hesitate to book this family of three, your house and your pets will be well-looked after!
BriAnna was our first pet sitter and we loved her :). She made every step very simple for us, communication was great, Pastis and Anubis seemed to be very happy with her, and the house was very clean when we came back. We highly recommend BriAnna to take care of your pets and we would love to have her back!
Carolina was a fantastic Pet sitter. From the beginning, it was straightforward to communicate with her. She met us before we left our trip and ensured she understood all the house and pet logistics. Luna and Cal were very comfortable with her and were best friends with her fast. She was very affectionate with them, and Luna and Cal loved her and were very happy with her. Carolina was very responsive and sent updates. She was really lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very respectful of our space and very tidy. She even washed the sheets and towels she used even when she didn’t need to. She put a lot of care into caring for Luna and Cal, and they looked very comfortable with her. Having Carolina as a pet sitter made our trip very easy, knowing our pets were cared for so well. We would love to have her back to sit for us again and highly recommend her.
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Laura is hands down the best sitter that we have ever had care for our pets and house! Having her stay made our trip away so care free and added a super fun layer of getting her daily (morning and night!) updates with photos and videos, some were hilarious I love Laura’s sense of humor! We were gone 8 days and when’s we arrived home our house was cleaner than when we left, mail on the counter, yard was picked up, it was beyond what we would expect. This made our first day back so easy. Oh’ and our pets were so relaxed and happy we knew they were loved and taken care of while we were away. Laura knew that we were coming home late and she even had bought a yummy quiche, rolls, fruit and juice so that we had breakfast in the morning! Laura is responsive, a great communicator, I could go on but simply put she is welcome at our house anytime. Simply the best!! Thank you tons Laura!!
Judith was one of the most considerate, trustworthy sitters we've ever had. We had to leave in a rush for a family emergency and really didn't have time to prepare the house as we usually do, but Judith took all in stride, leaving the apartment spotless. She sent photos of Baby Boo and Janet on arrival, putting us immediately at ease because it was so obvious the cats were completely comfortable, zero stress, allowing us to relax that they were in such good hands. She sent photos and video every day, which delighted us, confident that they were getting next level care. Judith would take care of anyone's home and pets with as much care as she did at ours, and we highly recommend. Hope she can come back!!
Jessica was an awesome pet sitter for my cat Fifi. She texted photos and updates everyday so I knew that Fifi was being well cared for. She was communicative and asked a lot of good questions to make sure she understood Fifi's needs. My home was equally as clean (if not more so) upon my return. I would highly recommend Jessica!
Tom was the PERFECT pet and house sitter. I went out of town for a while after my dad passed, and I had a few pet sitters bail before he came in for the rescue. He cleaned up the messes and I came home to a clean house and VERY happy babies! My two dogs LOVED him. He is extremely reliable, clean, trustworthy and was incredibly caring to my dogs. I would have him back ANYTIME and HIGHLY recommend him!!
Heath spent a long weekend at my home taking great care of both dogs and the cat. He was able to help out on rather short notice, and I felt very comfortable leaving my pets in his care. Heath is friendly and reliable and left my home neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend him as a house/pet sitter for future assignments!

This place is amazing! I brought my dog Chuck after a bad experience at another daycare. They were very welcoming and answered all my questions. Someone is always happy to greet Chuck when he comes in, I get updates and pictures and I no longer worry about my dog during the day. He is worn out but a very happy puppy at the end of the day. They really care about the dogs and ensure they are safe and happy. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for your fur baby to be taken care of while you vacation, look no further! My sweet fur baby stayed with them while I went on vacation and when I picked her up she didn’t want to leave! She played the whole time. She was well taken care of. Also if you work long hours and want to drop them off for some play time while you work this place is also a good fit. She also has done some cute holiday artwork for me to display proudly. She has picked up some good habits from them. I will continue to take my baby there and look forward to enrolling her in some much needed basic training.
My fur baby attends daycare and participates with their training program, and we absolutely love it. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful. They greet us like we are part of the family. I’ve been looking for a place that caters to loving our pets like we do for a very long time. I would definitely recommend Riverside Bark Park as a safe , and loving place for your pet.
This place is amazing! We’ve boarded 2 different dogs there at least so different times. The most recent was in July. Our girl had such a great time and, no kidding, slept for 2 days straight from doing nothing but playing for 10 days lol. They were very sweet and sent emails to check in and let me know how she was doing. They also told me she was very sweet and to bring her back anytime! The last picture is when we got her home. 🧡
We have taken our puppy here for training sessions with Ashley. Can’t recommend her enough! She is great with the puppy and is also helping my 8 year old daughter learn how to do basic commands and agility exercises. We definitely look forward to our sessions.
Lengthy review, you've been warned :) I am a cat person, but my daughter convinced me to get a small dog for companionship. I did, and she is amazing. However, she is a super high energy little thing and I have to work full time (to support her in the manner to which she's become accustomed). When I tried leaving her home alone, she was destructive and harrassed my cat. I tried a doggie daycare and she still came home super high energy and unmanageable in the evening. Then a friend at work suggested River City Bark and Park. She had a medium sized puppy and similar issues. I gave it a try and I now don't know what I'd do without them! My cat also is very happy with the results! I've used all their services. The daycare is amazing. My dog comes home relaxed and ready to snuggle in the evening. She spends the day interacting with the staff and other similar size and temperament dogs. She loves going to "school" and when I pick her up in the evening I am frequently blessed with little stories about what she did that day in daycare and who she played with. I honestly believe the staff care about my dog and that she considers them family. I've also used their grooming services - when they were a full grooming salon and even when they had to cut back to baths and nail trims. Since there is a groomer right down the "strip mall" I can still arrange for her to get a full grooming during daycare hours. I've used their training services - both as a group and individual. When we did group puppy training, the trainers shed a lot of insight into specifically how to train my dog. For instance, she is not food motivated as much as she is praise motivated. This is important to know going into further training practice. Also, I used their individual training sessions to help with reinforcing some slips in her training. And I've used their boarding several times in the past for a night or two and recently for a whole week. I can honestly say I didn't worry a single moment about the safety, happiness, or comfort of my dog while I was out of town. She always come homes happy and healthy (and ready for quiet snuggles).
Please see the photos of my Precious boy after a day at this place .. I trusted this place with my most precious possessions. This has got to be the most uncaring bunch of folks I have ever encountered. My beloved Yorki Bentley almost died in their care. They for some reason thought it was ok to put a 12 lb Yorki unsupervised in with a pit bull. My sweet Bentley was attacked by this pit bull and left in a corner. When he was found he was in shock . They had no clue how long he had been laying there severely injured. This pitbull crushed the left side of my dogs face, Crushed his eye socket and not to mention all the puncture wounds on the face and neck. We have to syringe water and food down his throat for him to be able to eat. The Puncture wounds went all the way thru his neck into his throat. How he survived I still don’t know .. They sent him to the local animal hospital by an employee. Owner never showed up . I got a little short text message from owner saying sorry .Never asked if my dog was alive or the extent of the injury. I followed up the next day to get the info on the dog that attacked my Bentley. (Which they would not give me.). At that time we spoke to the owners husband where he admitted the fault of the business but I was refused to see the video of the attack and pretty much dismissed us like we were being a problem. The only time in the past month this company has even checked on my dog was because I forced the question from them .. They called my vets office the day after the incident and tried to retrieve Bentleys records without my knowledge. The vets office called me while they were on the other line. (sneaky) When I told River City that if they wanted to know something they needed to contact me . They asked how he was . That is the only time they have asked about his condition. It’s been almost a month since the incident . Bentley is still recovering and struggling to eat. He will never be the same.. There was no Bones in his face that the vet could even put a metal plate to reconstruct his face. Want to know the real kicker they kept my remaining money for my daycare package . Please be aware of this place .. Sometimes what looks great from the outside isn’t always the real picture . Since the attack I have met others that have had their beloved pets attacked at this daycare. Its safe to say supervision is lacking.
New to the area with an adopted pup, I was struggling to get him socialized, both with people and dogs. He's appx 6 months now, 80lbs and still growing- so many people wouldn't even approach him. Not RCBP. Made an appointment to look at the facility and meet the staff and my pup (Riot) made it very clear he approved! He now goes regularly and gets Super Excited if you say "doggie daycare". He had his first training with Ashley last week and she was so impressive, we scheduled a few more. My pup is being well taken care of, learning and happy as he can be. What more could a dog mom ask for? Highly Recommend.
This business smells like a barn with farm animals and they don't give the dogs enough water. So they come home smelling terrible and unusually thirsty that does not happen at other establishments. I stopped taking my dog there especially because they had rescues on the premises and a litter of puppies that were in their own feces in the checkin area. All of this is very dangerous for your dog. They also don't do tours and don't always have someone in the play area. No tours should be a red flag for anyone.
Our 7 month old Rottweiler puppy attends daycare here regularly and he loves it! The staff is excellent and very trustworthy with your fur baby. We’ve also taken a basic obedience class here and it has helped so much! I highly recommend RCBP because they treat you and your fur baby like family here.
We had our dogs go to Colonial Canine while we were on a cruise. I am really happy with how they took care of our dogs. I loved seeing the pictures of them and seeing how happy they were. I was really nervous because our dogs haven't been boarded in awhile so I didn't know what to expect. I will definitely be using them again on our next vacation.
We are so lucky to have found this training facility for our 5 month old cavachon. After just 6 weekly classes, Our Benji was able to come to us on command, sit, lay down, and learn to walk on a leash better and interact with other dogs. Definitely recommend it!!! Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
I was very pleased with this daycare until recently. It started first when I dropped my dog off and Cassie told me he had shown aggression towards another dog the day before. I heard nothing about this when I picked him up so I was surprised and concerned. She told me I may see him doing solo activities moving forward and concluded with telling me he was “big for a husky.” I grew concerned that he may be spending a day in a crate and saw him in fewer pictures, when I did see him in a picture he had on a strange belly band that nobody ever talked to me about and he was leashed. When I went to drop him off the next week, he peed on the trash can and Cassie hit him with a closed fist. My dog’s dad was very upset and called up after I told him what happened. He was angry on the phone and when I picked my dog up early after I felt as if I was being made to feel guilty about him upsetting Cassie. Cassie who answered the phone and then told him she knew nothing about my dog being hit. I understand that dogs need correction. But my dog was mistreated by his previous owners and we have worked hard to make him feel loved and trust us. I don’t think it was appropriate for Cassie to hit him just for peeing.
I can not say enough good things about Colonial Canine. I was super nervous to leave my 8 month old chihuahua puppy in doggy day care. But we had some unexpected changes and couldn’t be home with her for a few weeks. She was not doing well being crated for so many hours a day. My puppy could also be kinda spoiled and difficult, in true Chihuahua fashion. Would they be patient with her? My worries were completely unfounded. My dog LOVES going to doggy daycare with Colonial Canine. She has a big connection with each of the staff members here and she is almost as excited to see them in the morning as she is to see me at pickup. She is well cared for, happy, and tired after a long day of play. I feel good being at work and knowing that my dog is under the care of people who truly care about her and have a very clear passion for providing amazing care to dogs. I’ve come to pickup and found her snuggled in a lap on more than one occasion. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. The staff are all so kind and welcoming. They’re also very supportive and answer any and every question I have about raising my puppy. And I personally love the photos they post of play time every day. We are looking forward to starting some training classes in the future! If you love your dog and are in need of doggy day care, boarding, or training classes, look no further. This is the best possible place and people to trust with your pup.
Easy to work with and very friendly. They accepted my paperwork and dog. They seem to keep the older dogs away from the younger ones during playtime.
They seem very caring and my dogs had fun. I feel bad leaving this review since I really like the folks who own and operate the daycare. Unfortunately, the place smells AWFUL! My dogs came home with their fur smelling of old urine. It can't be healthy. If they clean up the smell and make it more hygienic, I will take my boys back there.
This is by far the best place to bring your dog. I travel for work so she's been at different kennels throughout the US and many places say how they train dog and have experience with Cane Corso and my experience is they don't. Colonial Canine is top notch. They actually have experience and it speaks for itself. I only boarded her and I can see a change in my bully breed when she came home. She is actually tired because they play with them and not just leave them in a crate or dog pen ❤️🐾❤️🐾🇮🇹🇮🇹 They truly know what they are doing! Thank you so much look forward to boot camp
The people are very nice! My dogs seemed happy and well cared for after a week there. HOWEVER. The place smelled so strongly of pee when we dropped off and picked up a week later, so that was concerning.
We bring our Tito burrito for daycare here and this is hands down the best place to bring your dogs to! He likes being at daycare more than he does at home. You can tell they care about each and every dog that’s there! Highly recommend!
They know a lot about dogs and I fully trust them with my crazy Malinois. Love having him exposed to other dogs and also their influence on him. Highly recommend.
Honestly the absolute best pet sitters - Kayla and Chris are consummate professionals. They are caring, engaged and deeply committed. For many of us, our pets are our a part of our family and the decision of who should provide their care is not taken lightly. For us, Sandy Paws Pet Care is the best on the beach. We traveled for nearly 3 weeks -- we traveled with confidence as we knew our boys and our house were in excellent hands. From the first meeting, communications were clear and it was evident how much they love animals. We received daily updates and photos from walks, meals, play-time, snuggles and bed time. Have a picky eater -- no worries, our boys NEVER missed a meal, they ate better for Kayla and Chris than they do for us. Our dogs loved walking with Chris and playing in the yard with Kayla. Bruno loved his cuddle sessions with Kayla. Sandy was brushed daily to keep his coat in good shape. Chris even gave Sandy a bath -- a wet experience for both of them! He patiently hand dried Sandy and brushed him out. Our house was PRISTINE on return, everything neat clean, dishes done, floors cleaned, trash out, yard picked up. While the dogs were happy to see us, secretly they miss Kayla and Chris. Already booked Sandy Paws Pet Care for our next trip.
5 stars across the board - Dog Care - attentive, active & hands on Communication - before, during and after - updates and photos galore Professional Trustworthy Loving & Friendly (they feel like family) Clean (vacuumed, washed bedding and towels, took out the trash, cleared the yard of all poop, etc.) We have three dogs, each with their own special quirks, Kayla & Chris are great with them! From drop-ins to an eleven day stay, they have established a trusting relationship with us and our pups. They cared for our neurotic, thunder, rain, and fire works fearing lab, our energetic, playful, mostly obedient hound/pit mix and our finicky, timid, cat-like, lab without batting an eye. Attentive and loving. They have allowed us to have worry-free, stress-free vacation travel and coverage for day-trips and work. They are a God send and we are blessed to have them! Without reservation, I highly recommend Kayla and Chris @Sandy Paws Pet Care!
Sandy Paws Pet Care is the best! Kayla and Chris are reliable, trustworthy, and have been such a huge help. They are so good with my German Shepherd, spending time playing and loving on her as part of their walk/drop-in, and she LOVES them. I get lots of photos of my girl when they come by too, which always brightens my day. Highly recommend!
Kayla and Chris at Sandy Paws Pet Care are the best. They have such good energy and you can tell they love what they do. Our boy is 14 yrs old and needs extra care and attention which they provided, along with lots of love for him and his cat brother. I cannot say enough great things about them and how happy I am to have them in our lives, knowing our boys are in great hands. Added bonus is all of the great pictures Kayla will send (dog kisses, walks, cat belly rubs :) along with updates.
Kayla and Chris are the absolute best for pet care in the Outer Banks! We tried quite a few pet sitting services before finally finding Sandy Paws. What a breath of fresh air to finally find a service that is dependable, reliable and honest. The TLC that they have given our pets is just perfect. Their overnight care is so reassuring for our older pets. Their communication is wonderful. When they leave, you can’t even tell they were there! They clean up so nicely. What a bonus at the end of a trip! Thank you, Kayla and Chris … You have made it so that we feel comfortable to travel again and leave our babies behind. G
Kayla and Chris are amazing. I'm very picky about who watches my cat, and I immediately got a good sense when I interviewed Kayla and saw her interact with my cat. They did a great job. I hired them multiple times for overnight stays at my house. They were responsible, loving, responsive, and caring towards my cat. Kayla sent pictures and updates to me multiple times a day, and brought any concerns to me immediately. She has extensive training and instincts for medical care. 5 stars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Kayla and Chris are fantastic! They both truly love what they do and it is reflected in the care they provide. Chris stayed with our 3 dogs this past weekend and he took such good care of our girls. He sent numerous pictures and reports throughout the day so we never worried. This was our first time leaving our girls with Kayla and Chris but we have already booked several future stays. I can’t recommend them highly enough!!
Kayla and Chris go above and beyond and we cannot recommend them more highly. They will love on your fur family like they are best buddies, while also keeping their eyes on all the little things that might need attention while you’re away. We have had them keeping our fur family safe for years now and they mourned with us when one of ours passed and celebrated when our daughter brought her (very needy) baby to them to keep while she traveled). We are so grateful to have such caring, compassionate, honest care-givers in our area.
Exceptional! Kayla and Chris were absolutely incredible with Reggie. They sent loads of pictures of him in real time. Seeing him eating/drinking, walking, playing, cuddling, getting belly, rubs, etc., allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation. It was clear when we came home that he had been well-loved. I appreciate that Kayla and Chris customize their care (overnight stays; scheduled drop ins; etc.) They did extras for us such as grabbing mail, pulling up trash cans, and so forth. Way above and beyond any expectations we had. So grateful! I wish everything came with such piece of mind.
I was concerned when I went on vacation but Sandy Paws took great care of my elderly cat. In fact they spoiled him rotten with lots of loving and his favorite treats. They were wonderful and sent me pictures every day. Best pet sitters. Thank you.
Claudia is amazing! She has been so kind to work around my unpredictable work schedule for daycare and boarding when I'm out of town for work. My 1 year old corgi, Daisy, absolutely LOVES going to Claudia's and playing on her backyard toys! I always get photos and videos on how Daisy's days are going, which I love because then I know Daisy is happy and well cared for the entire time (see attached photos). Claudia has also been very helpful in improving Daisy's training and very open to implementing the techniques I use at home. Claudia is a blessing to Daisy and I! I would 100% recommend her to anyone else in the area looking for a place to board, or drop their doggies off for daycare.
Claudia is incredible! We couldn't be happier with our dog-sitting experience with her! From the moment she met our dog Murphy, it was clear she has a natural gift with pups. She immediately connected with him, which made him feel at ease right away. Every day of the three months she cared for Murphy, he came home exhausted from a full day of play, socializing, and receiving lots of love and attention. The obstacle course play/training and fetch were particular highlights. He really had a maxed out fun day every day there. Claudia was also incredibly accommodating with a few schedule adjustments that popped up, which made things so much easier for us. Murphy was in great hands—and it showed! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Claudia. We travel a lot and she is by far the best dog care pro we’ve come across. Thank you, Claudia, for giving us peace of mind and making sure Murphy had the best time while we were in Norfolk!
Claudia is a true dog lover, kind person, and all around caring guardian of fur babies. I do not worry at all when I leave my dogs with her days or sometimes weeks. She sends me photos and frequent updates on how they’re doing. My dogs are lap dogs and love the attention from her kids. They walk right inside when I drop them off, like they’re happy to be there. Highly recommend her as a boarding option!
Claudia is amazing with our pup! When we drop her off, she doesn’t look back because she is so excited to spend time there!! Our dog has dietary restrictions and Claudia is ALWAYS able to accommodate!!! I get lots of updates but honestly I don’t have anything to worry about, my dog is in great hands!! I am so happy I came across her daycare! I will only use her for boarding our pup!
I cant recommend Claudia enough! She is incredibly flexible and you can tell that she really loves what she does. She communicates wonderfully and sends pictures while your pet is with her and I can tell that my pup had a great time during both stays. It’s a gift when you don’t have to worry about your pet while you’re gone and that is absolutely the case with Claudia!
My dog loves going to Claudia’s, he wags his tail and pulls to get in her house every time! Claudia takes care of him as if he was one of her own. It’s comforting to know that my dog is in a loving home getting lots of attention, instead of sitting in a crate all day like most boarding places. Claudia also sends pictures and updates while your dog is there to put your mind even more at ease. I would never want to board my dog anywhere else!
We always take our dogs with us but feel so fortunate to have found Claudia to care for our 2 Dobermans and golden retriever. She’s beyond amazing - very experienced, conscientious, always keeping us up to date on how the dogs are doing. They just love her - get great exercise, playtime and are well taken care of. We would highly recommend her! She deserves 10++stars!!
Claudia was amazing with my two small dogs. They enjoyed being at her house. Claudia was very easy to work with for over 2 1/2 years that we lived in the area. I always knew my dogs were being well taken care of with her.
Claudia is amazing & our pups love staying with her! She has a fenced-in backyard and always sends us photos of our dogs having a great time - she makes an effort to ensure they still get the love and attention away from home. Claudia is always very reliable & makes us feel at ease when we go out of town and can’t take our pups with us. I wouldn’t know what to do without her!
Claudia loves, cares and engages with every dog as if they were her own. Our pup quivers with excitement when he sees Claudia’s house! We have nothing but praise for her skills and not a worry when he is with her.
We have been taking our dog to the Ruff House for over a year now. They treat her just like we would, and have really helped with her socialization and training. She loves the daycare, and we also regularly use their grooming services. They are truly wonderful, I recommend them to everyone!
We love The Ruff House in Greenbrier. The employees are happy and excited when you drop off and very efficient when you pick up. We tried another daycare near Great Neck in VA Beach (near my office) and had problems with our pup being bit. They blamed him saying he wasn’t reading social cues from the other dog. He did his temperament test at The Ruff House and they said while he did get amped up once (he’s a year and a half old), he was very good at social cues. He hasn’t had any issues. I believe they have more supervision and interaction with the staff. We have been so happy that our boy can get to play with his friends! He is tuckered out after a day of play! (He’s the yellow lab)
The Ruff House has been amazing! My Leti girl gets so excited when it's time to go in for daycare or boarding. I can trust them to treat my puppy with love and care. The report cards and pictures are a plus as a first time dog owner. Thank you Ruff House staff!
Staff is super friendly - never had any issues with booking, communication, or follow-up questions. I love getting pics of my puppers playing with other dogs her age during boarding. They always take care to keep her with the other grey-faced older dogs, knowing puppies are just too energetic for her. I always feel secure knowing my dog is being cared for while I’m away.
We take our dog there regularly for enrichment, daycare, and boarding. He always comes home so happy. The people there are wonderful and deeply love all the animals in their care. I can’t recommend them enough.
We are so thankful for and love The Ruff House Stay & Play at Greenbrier!! They give us so much peace of mind and reassurance that our sweet 2-year old dog, Fiyero is receiving the best care possible while we are away! The team is always responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. They constantly go above and beyond and show an authentic love and care for all the animals they are caring for. Fiyero is always excited to go to overnight boarding, and he always comes home well taken care and in great spirits! We are so grateful for the amazing team at The Ruff House Stay & Play at Greenbrier for the endless love they show our sweet, but high energy dog!
I just moved to Virginia and wanted to find a safe enriching day care for our dog. The Ruff House (Chesapeake) is amazing. Our puppy Pompeii has a great time there and comes home tired and happy. They feed him and make sure he’s an environment for his temperament. When I drop him off he goes with the handler no hesitation! They post pictures of your pet to your profile and cute report cards. Reasonable pricing too! I love this daycare and so does Pompeii
I have nothing but good things to say and would recommend their services to anyone. My dogs (and even my cat) love it here, and I never worry for a second when I leave them in their care. You can tell everyone is very passionate about caring for the animals, and the business is run efficiently and professionally.
My two babydogs, Rocky & Hazel, absolutely love it here when they are boarded. The care is top-tier which I appreciate as a loving & highly protective dogmom. My pups mean the world to me and I have so much peace of mind knowing they’re in great hands while I’m away. I also greatly appreciate the photos seeing them at play with other dog friends. Thank you for the quality service and amazing customer service! This will always be their home away from home when I need to travel out of town.
My 13-month-old golden retriever recently began attending daycare, and I have noticed that he is quite fatigued when I pick him up. However, I am pleased to see that he is actively socializing and developing his confidence. The staff at the daycare has been exceptional; they are highly professional and demonstrate a deep understanding of how to handle and care for each of their clients.
So much fun. Wasn’t sure about it before going but had a good time and I think my dog did too
I was their strictly as an observer. My daughter is training my "grandpup" . The instructors are knowledgable and patient
My 10 month old has been coming here since was 5 months, and she will be a lifer. Rita is amazing with the dogs. Her set up is amazing. She keeps the bigger dogs separate from the little ones so the little ones don’t get hurt. She has awesome playgrounds for the kiddies to climb and vast amount of land for them to run. Providing you bring your pup’s good, she gives them breakfast and dinner. The kiddos also have a nap time. My baby met her best friend there; that are now inseparable. For those who complain about the owner’s pickiness on what breeds are allowed, it is her prerogative: SHE’S THE OWNER!!! 🤔 I know put bulls, since I see that’s the main complaint, and, yes, they can be gentle and wonderful with people. However, when they get into playing rough, they don’t realize their jaw strength and locking. So do some research yourselves. The owner has been wonderful and works with me if I’m running late or need to bored my pup last minute. I truly hope she stays around for a very, very long time.
Rita and her team are amazing. They care for our dog Beau like he is their own! Every morning Beau is by my side ready to go to his second home for day care! Your pets will be loved and in good hands, they will also have so much fun with their friends they will sleep through the night! Love this place! Dave
Best place ever! From the second I brought my 10 month old Catahoula/Beagle mix she was smiling and happy. When we picked her up she was happy to see us and exhausted. The fact that she was a bit dirty only proved to me she played well. Great prices and lots of room for her to run. I will be taking her regularly to burn off all that excessive energy she has.
My dog loves it here! Rita is great! I feel safe sending my sweet baby here! Definitely recommend!
Not worth it!! This dog daycare has the shadiest yard full of crappy home made "agility equipment/dog equipment." The crates for the dogs are way too small for any dog bigger than a corgi. The owner will complain about your dog if it plays with other dogs. She also doesn't know what 2 dogs playing looks like, says they are fighting. She has clearly never seen grown dogs play. I've taken my dog to countless parks and not once have I ever had to yell at him for playing too rough neither has my girlfriend! Usually it's other dogs playing too rough! Definitely not worth the money, like all she does is sit there, it's not that hard to watch dogs play all day and make sure they have water. Then to have her b**** and moan about what your dog does. He's a dog. Let him be a dog!
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I brought my dogs here 5 times over the span of one month and each time I dropped them off the owner had something rude to say. This daycare is nothing more than a glorified fenced in backyard with hazardous junk all over the place. I liked the fact that they were outside all day until I saw the inside facilities. There were a couple medium sized wire kennels that my large dogs could barely lay down in. But I figured it was okay to bring just during the day for daycare- I NEVER boarded them here (and you shouldn't either unless you have a small dog. Even then I would advise against it). The last couple times I have picked them up they were quarantined by themselves. If I wanted them alone in a backyard I could do that at home for free. Today I was asked to not bring my dogs back because they play too rough and get the other dogs excited. THEY'RE DOGS!! I have two high energy young dogs that play a little rough with one another but would never hurt another dog or person. They've been to countless dog parks and 3 other daycares in different states I've lived in and they have never had any issue getting along. My one dog was used as the Trial Day Dog at her last daycare- if new dogs didn't get along with her, they weren't allowed to stay. So that just goes to show how ridiculous this place is. The ONLY plus to this place was how cheap it is. But I guess you get what you pay for. Save your money and send your dog somewhere else.
This is the only place I'll board both my dogs at (11yr Cocker Spaniel & 4yr Toy Poodle), Once I get out the food container, bedding and say the words lets go see Nanny they know where they're going and get anxious to leave. Once we get to the family dog club facility they can't wait to get out of the car, they run straight to the gate. This tells me a lot about how they feel about the place, sometimes they run inside and don't look back to say good bye. I travel 1 to 3 weeks at a time 2 to 4 times a year and I can’t see myself boarding them in a place that keeps them locked up in kennels for 20 hours a day for 1 to 3 weeks at a time. Here it’s open boarding, to them it's like going on a long doggy park trip. They get lots of exercise while interacting with other dogs for the entire day, this means they will get dirty, which I’m OK with knowing they are moving around freely just like at home. I just give them a bath once back home. They sleep soundly for a few days once back home recovering from all that exercise. Best prices I've found. This is their home away from home when I have to travel.
Family Dog Club is a fun experience in a professional atmosphere. And not just for the dogs I mean. Humans actually enjoy it as well ! The training rings are quite large and are changed around often, as opposed to one ring with one setup. The dogs actually has to think as opposed to just one the dogs eventually just do by memory. They also board dogs & have 'Doggy Daycare' & w/ only "top-of-the-line" care. Last but not least, the owner and staff are down to earth and could not be more honest and friendly. They will actually tell you if they think their Club or daycare is not the right fit for your dog & you rather than keep the dog coming and have a frustrated dog and owner. To run across that kind of honesty these days is amazing. I guess I could have just said in a word the family dog Club is; "Amazing"!
This was my first experience dropping my dog off to ruff house (va beach) for Labor Day weekend because we were going out of town. I picked this facility based on the great reviews. I didn’t tour the facility with my husband b/c front desk staff stated there was a certain time that we would have to come in and we had to work. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary upon dropping her off. We did elect for play time for one day which was an upcharge. We never received pictures or updates regarding my dog. However we called Saturday and was told everything was going well and that she’s wagging her tail. She seemed happy she just wasn’t eating a lot. On Sunday we picked her up and she was panting like she was hot or didn’t have water. She looked a sweaty mess. I thought let me take her home in bathe her she might be overly tired. She slept all day Monday like she was depressed. As an update I called to speak to the manager Tuesday. The manager never came to the phone only relaying messages to the front desk staff that Asa wasn’t outside Sunday and they’re not sure why she was sweaty and panting. She seemed fine on Saturday when she was playing. Also I asked about room temp in the kennel and they stated it was 72 degrees which is a little in the warm side in my opinion. I will not be bringing my dog back. Unprofessional that the manager didn’t want to listen to my concerns.
Thank you all so much for taking care of our boy Milo. I was nervous at first leaving him for the first time since we've had him but with the staff taking pics of him everyday (I made sure to check lol) gave me and my family a warm fuzzy that he was being taking care of. I like the little report afterwards thats lets me know how he did as well. I look forward to bring him back for a future doggy daycare session to get accustomed to other pups. Thanks again!
The atmosphere was incredibly friendly and inviting. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted Sadie with genuine warmth and care, making her feel right at home. Their attention to detail and personalized approach made the entire experience exceptional. It was clear they prioritize customer satisfaction and go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels comfortable and valued.
We boarded our two guinea pigs and we were so pleased with how clean their cage was when we picked them up. Their hay bag was full and there was food in their bowl so we know they were well taken care of. I also appreciated them being in a quiet area. We will definitely be back! We have boarded at another kennel previously and the difference is night and day. We highly recommend The Ruff House for your small animal boarding needs.
I was really worried about taking my dog to boarding/daycare for the first time but ruff house was nothing but helpful, accommodating, and kind. They were very quick & helpful when responding to all of my questions throughout the “onboarding process” & during my dogs stay! He tested into daycare and I’m so excited to see him grow and be properly socialized with other dogs in a controlled, safe environment. When I first received pictures of my dog playing with others, my heart melted. Thank you ruff house!!
It was my first time ever leaving my fur babies at a doggy boarding facility. The atmosphere is very clean. The staff is very nice and relaxed. They treated my babies really well and made sure that I knew they did well while I was gone. They’re very alert when it comes to their boarders and I love that. Will definitely be using them again in the future.
We had a wonderful grooming experience with Judy! Our pup came home happy, healthy and looking so handsome! We would highly recommend the Ruff House for their grooming services!!
Boarded our pup for the first time and we are so happy we picked Ruff House. The pictures taken during his stay shows how much he enjoyed it. They took such good care of him! We will definitely use them again for both boarding and grooming services.
I really wanted to love this place. I’ve taken my dog here twice. The first experience seemed great.. he was super tuckered out, and they took a ton of photos. Based on that, I decided to bring him back. This time, things were different. I didn’t really get much with the photos which I'm not too worried about, but he came home with an unusual amount of energy and INSANELY thirsty. He sprinted to his water bowl and i had to refill it twice.. which confused me. He’s not the kind of dog that requires constant stimulation to relax, so it felt odd. I had also requested a full groom for him, but when I picked him up, he didn’t smell fresh, which made me question if he even received a bath. At first, I let it go, but only a week later and he's showing signs that his anal glands are full. Now I’m wondering if I was charged for services that weren’t provided. To make matters worse, he has kennel cough. I don’t understand how dogs get sick in facilities that require updated vaccines. He’s never been sick before, and I feel awful for him.
I can't say enough good things about the Ruff House! They are AWESOME and always make sure my dog, Stella, is well taken care of. The staff is so attentive and loving, making Stella feel right at home. They even manage to give her baths, which is always a challenge at home. Although Stella misses us while we're gone, she has the best time at the Ruff House. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring boarding facility for their furry friends!
Blue Sky Farms is simply the most amazing place for your pet to go. All of the people are so friendly, loving and wonderful people. I had a emergency happen and hands down they were there for me and my dog (Lump). His owner had just passed away and they took her in to help me as if she was their own. I can't even put in words how blessed and grateful I am for them. I will praise and recommend them to everyone. Thank you all for what you do there for ALL animals.
We have been using Blue Sky Farms for several years now to care for our baby while away. He is diabetic and requires insulin twice daily and they have taken care of his needs. A big Thank You to BSF!
Jeannine and the family are like a second home to our little girl. When we show up she starts wiggling with excitement! With dependability and consistent schedules, and fair rates, I know I can turn to her and feel safe leaving Luna as long as she has room and we reserve in advance. The updates to the facilities are outstanding! Climate controlled boarding areas, small pools, fantastic toys, couches, and genuinely caring people. THERES NOTHING ELSE YOU COULD WANT! Long Ridge Road is the place to go! Update...its been a year later and I still wouldn't change one thing on the review except I wish there was another one in Tennessee! I don't know what we will do without them!
We have boarded our 70 pound Golden Doodle at Blue Sky Farms of K9 Country Inn since she was a puppy. She is treated so well in their care that when we are taking her to board, we tell her she is going to Camp and she gets excited. The people there treat her as family. She gets plenty of outdoor exercise and socializes with similar size dogs. The staff is professional and knowledgeable in the proper care and handling of dogs. The facilities have always been clean and maintained well. We would not consider leaving our pet anywhere else. We have the highest confidence in her treatment and care.
Great value in the packages that they provide, love the half day option. Jeannie and her staff are amazing with the dogs. The renovations that have been made are amazing, our pup Luna always comes home happy and tired. Thanks Jeannie.
I adopted a 5 month old Mountain Cur dog. So cute BUT out of control. I dreaded coming home. Blue Sky Farms saved me. Cali now walks on a leash, does not chase my horses or kill anymore chickens/ducks. She stopped chewing on me as a bone, does not attack/jump on visitors. I am so happy I found you guys and you were able to perform miracles. My other dog (Lucy) even likes her now.
We just picked our dogs up after "their" vacation at Blue Sky Farms. The kennels are clean and spacious. We enjoyed the Facebook pictures and posts. Our dogs were happy and well cared for while we were away. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. We will definitely use them again.
The kennel was great. One of my two mastiffs had an open wound that happened the day before I left for my trip. They took care of Sarge and I am very grateful. Five star service, both dogs came home smiling.
We have been boarding our dogs to Blue Sky Farms for over 5 years and we love it. Our Pug is getting up in age, and does not play well with others. The staff go out of their way to pay extra attention to him during his stay. Our dogs usually stay an average of 10 days, and they both come home fit and happy. I would like to thank the staff for taking such good care of our two "babies."
We take our Bloodhound and GSD for grooming, boarding and the occasional Day Care. The owners are excellent trainers and knowledgeable of dogs. One of my pups is not overly social. Blue Sky team is able to handle her and give her the chance to play with other animals, something I do not trusted others with. My pups are always super excited to see me, let's me know they enjoyed their time with the Sky team.
If you’re in the Virginia Beach area I highly recommend them for watching your dog they will cater to your dogs needs for an individual experience for each dog very good highly recommend will bring dog back if we go out of town.
Absolutely love Cameron and Hayes. They are so fantastic with our two dogs. They have a nice yard for them to hang out in and play. They definitely treat our pups as their own whenever they are there. We’ve used them a few times and will continue to when we need! Highly recommend.
We used The Epps Dog Nook for our boy Kylo when we went out of town for a couple days. He had a great time. They were extremely communicative and responsive. We really appreciated the home style atmosphere and acclimation process and care they use with new members. Thank you both so very much, it was great to know that Kylo was in great hands while we were away!
We had a last minute trip come up and the Epps took our family dogs in without hesitation. Very friendly people and great with animals! Will definitely be bring my dogs back to them!
Recommended for anyone in the deep creek/chesapeake area. Cameron and Hayes are very nice and respectful people, will definitely bring my dog back to them when I go out of town again.
Absolutely wonderful! Our dog Harper loved going here! They took her in as if she was their family pet, she was so well loved and taken care of! She was always so happy and excited to be dropped off! Thank you for taking such good care of Harper!
I highly recommend! awesome people. Very open and communicative. Definitely will leave my pup there again when i make my way out of town.
I went out of town on a detachment for 2 weeks and left my basset hound with the Epps family. And let me tell you mine and finneus’ experience has honestly been the best. They took the very best care of him and before leaving I asked if I could be updated and sent pictures of him and they did! If you’re ever in need of a pet sitter for your fur baby in the deep creek/ Chesapeake area definitely use them!
The Epps Dog Nook took great care of my dog Louis! He didn’t want to come home he loved them so much. If anyone is looking for a dog boarding service in the deep Creek or Chesapeake area, look no further. This is the best hands-down. Incredible loving family owned business.
Great service! The Dog Nook took responsibility in taking care of Arlo when he needed it. 100% recommend ty!
Four Paws is Awesome. They helped take my pretty unruly and mouthy pup to a mostly well-behaved puppy. He is still a puppy but he is the most loving and social pup. Thanks Four Paws and Canine Training Unlimited. The owner/trainers (& family) and staff are all so wonderful. My puppy loves to go to doggy daycare
Our Dachshund Peanut loves doggie daycare now and then. Been thru basic training. Needs more ☮️. Wonderful staff
I cannot say enough great things about Four Paws. Our dog has been going to their doggy day care since he was just a few months old, and the staff has been such a huge part of shaping his personality and behavior. You can tell that everyone genuinely loves animals, and they greet you and your dog by name when you walk in. They have tons of amazing training programs, and the prices are so reasonable. They even have bonus free days for regular day care dogs. The vibe is really great, and the business is run efficiently and pleasantly. Honestly, if they allowed human kids I’d send ours there too 😂
I took my dog for Four Paws for 2 years and sadly had to move away! I wish I could have taken Four Paws with me!! We did multiple training classes as well as daycare weekly. The staff are attentive and friendly. The facility is well maintained, clean, and honestly a dog's paradise. They have lots of room to run and romp or to lay around in the afternoon sun. Love this place and would highly recommend to anyone looking for training or daycare!
They aren’t a fan of bigger dogs, my dog has never been aggressive in his life and that’s how 4 paws labeled him. He is very playful and friendly and has never harmed anyone. 4 paws wanted us to muzzle our dog. If I could I’d give this place zero stars.
Boomer goes here for daycare at least once a week and he absolutely loves it! I love seeing all the pictures on Facebook of all the doggos having fun!
I had initially made a review immediately following Domino's training and after I was reached out to I decided to remove the post even though it was honest. There was a follow up meeting but I did not feel it made a difference. We had multiple conversations expressing our very specific concerns for Domino prior to starting the program. We were consistently reassured that his behaviors would be addressed. I paid $1250 and there was no noticeable change in his behavior. I was responsive and completed the homework. I don't have anything negative to say about the politeness or friendliness of the staff. Domino enjoyed his time there but that was a major financial strain for not one of his problem behaviors to have improved. I think it could be successful if you're looking to improve on leash skills. I brought up my concerns during both the drop off training and group lessons portions. I suggest having some kind of checklist or graduation criteria agreement beyond simply completing classes for that kind of time and money.
I feel awful having to write this review, as my dog really loved coming here, however unfortunately he contracted kennel cough from the facility. I was not made aware that the illness was going around, and when I called and left a voicemail first thing Monday morning stating that he had contracted kennel cough at daycare (he does not socialize with dogs anywhere else) and I would like a call back, I never heard from anyone at the facility. I spent my weekend taking care of a sick dog and got stuck with a vet bill. I understand kennel cough is a risk with daycare, and I am not upset that he got sick at daycare, however I am extremely disappointed in how this matter was handled and will not be returning. The daycare is still up and running, and as far as I am aware has not let any pet owner know about the transmission of kennel cough. Extremely unprofessional behavior on the owners part. I will not be returning. If you want a facility that cares about the health of the Pets and not just the money, I recommend going somewhere else. After writing this post I did have a manager call me. Whoever took the messages that day did not relay the message over to the manager. Mistakes happen and that is okay and they have fixed their mistake and are taking appropriate measures!
Perfect place!!! Supervised off leash area, good food, beer, and nice people and their dogs. Awesome place.
Whether we are driving into the parking lot for daycare or obedience class, our dogs start wagging their tails the moment we arrive. They LOVE being there. That tells a lot about how the staff engages with the pups.
Our dog Tank just spent the Christmas holiday week with Krista at the ranch. He is always so excited when he sees his collar come out bc he knows where he is going. Krista and her team are AMAZING! It’s nice to be able to enjoy a vacation and know your pup is in the best hands!! Can’t say enough great things about Ballypines. It’s always clean, well organized, easy pick up/drop off, and a welcoming staff. It’s truly the best! Extremely grateful for this place and the staff. Thanks for all you do! ❤️
Good news! If you are reading this, it means your search for the absolute BEST dog boarding has come to an end - look no further than Ballypines! At Ballypines, Krista and her staff go above and beyond to keep your dog safe, healthy, and happy! Your dog will spend their day running, playing, exploring and sniffing around the spacious green yards with fellow friendly and playful campers! They receive lots of love and belly scratches from the staff too! Seriously, the property is so beautiful and well taken care of - anybody would want to spend their days here! You are welcome and encouraged to pack your dog’s own bedding, toys, food, treats, medication, etc to feel right at home! The staff is accommodating and happy to follow any instructions (diet, behavior, etc) you provide to make sure your dogs stay is comfortable. To sum it up, this local business is doing things RIGHT. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s common to feel hesitant about boarding your best friend, but thanks to Krista and her team - we now actually look forward to boarding our dog here because we know how much FUN he will have! Without Ballypines, it would be impossible for my family to spend time away from home. Thank you Ballypines, your hard work is recognized and appreciated - we will see you again SOON! 🐶🐾
I almost didn’t go with Balleypines because the price was slightly higher than competitors, but I am so glad I did. I was sold at the orientation. Everyone is so friendly and it’s evident that they really care about your pets and it’s not just a job. What was needed prior to drop off was very clear and communication throughout was amazing. We got minimum 7 pictures of our happy pup everyday. I will 100% use again. Thank you guys for being so great!
We absolutely love Ballypines!! Our dog Oakley gets all the love and attention he needs! We love the photo updates we get throughout his stay. We will never go anywhere else for our dogs home away from home!
This week while we were gone to the beach, Bear experienced a first…he went to a dog ranch. He was definitely timid at first which we expected, but as we got our daily photos (yes, daily photos) we saw he was starting to enjoy his time there. If you are in the Hampton Roads area and need to board your dog, Ballypines is worth checking out. They do a temperament interview and tour of the property before a dog is approved. They believe in making your dog feel like they are at home so they encourage you to bring things that will make them feel at home. We sent in frozen fruit since Bear enjoys having fruit with his meals and they made sure he got it each day. He gets a night-night treat before he goes to bed, so we sent some in and he got them each night. They did so many other things that I won’t list, but we felt at peace knowing he was being cared for like we do at home. They have outdoor time a couple of times each day. The workers did say Bear found his way to where the humans were and wanted to hang out with them…sorry, we homeschool and he is around humans most of the day! 😆😂 We are thankful to have Ballypines as an option when Bear can’t vacation with us. We will definitely be bringing him back!
We boarded our dog, Lacey, at Ballypines for 10 days while my husband and I were out of the country. I was worried at first because it was our first time boarding Lacey somewhere overnight and the longest we’d ever been away from her. We received pictures and updates daily that put our minds at ease. Lacey looked like she was having an amazing time just being a dog! Krista loved her so much she asked to be her godmother! That made us feel great that she was so loved. We will definitely be boarding Lacey here in the future!
Very first time using Ballypines to board our two dogs. Our dogs loved it and you can see that by the photos they sent us daily. Staff is wonderful and they are so very organized. Will definitely use them again.
Our dogs Daisy and Daphne seem to have the time of their lives at Ballypines. Whenever we have to board them we get these amazing pictures during their stay. We always miss our pups but are confident they are getting the best care on their vacation at Ballypines.
We are so glad we heard about Ballypines from a friend. Even though our doodle is 7, he had never been away from us for a long period of time. We were so impressed from our first visit there and how organized, comfortable and clean a barn could be. The staff was amazing. They cared for him just like we do and when the pictures came every day, I don't know which one of us was having the best vacation. He looked happy, healthy and like he was having a blast. We all want the best for our fur babies, and we got it!!
I heard about Ballypines from my parents who boarded their dog several times with Ballypines. From the moment I walked into Ballypines, my worries and anxiety about leaving my pups completely melted away. The staff was warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about animals. They took the time to get to know my dogs, asking questions about their routines, preferences, and any special needs. The facility itself was clean, spacious with large fields, and felt like a home away from home for my pups. I appreciated the constant updates throughout their stay with photos that showed me they were happy and comfortable. When I picked them up, they were in great spirits—no signs of stress or anxiety, which was such a relief. I could tell that they had been treated with care and respect the entire time. Leaving my dogs with Ballypines turned out to be the best decision, and I’ll definitely be using their services again. Highly recommend to anyone who’s anxious about boarding their pets—this place made all the difference! Thank you all!
