I just picked my 2 dogs up after a 2 and a half day stay and I will definitely be bringing them back. The pricing is very reasonable, especially if you're boarding more than one dog and they can stay in a kennel together. My dogs were happy, clean, and clearly well cared for when I picked them up. They seemed very comfortable there and with the staff as well. You can text the number they provide you with during your dog's stay for updates on your pup. I also appreciate that they don't discriminate based on breed as a have a very sweet pittie and have occasionally run into issues finding her pet care. I think my pups had a pretty great time because they are both passed out now!

I've boarded our dog (Buddy) a few times. Never really had any issues except for a slight misunderstanding concerning scheduling. Buddy seems to like it, and it appears the folks there like him. It's a bit out of the way for us, but worth going the distance. Pricing is quite fair, IMO.

My son and his friend were calling around getting some quotes for doggy daycare. They called this business and Margaret was very unprofessional with them. I did speak to my son to get his side of the story from him and his friend to make sure that he was telling me the truth before I made a call to this business. I called to speak to Margaret to make a complaint about how short and rude she was to them when he was asking for quotes. Before I could even finish what I was saying to Margaret on the phone, she cut me off and started getting very defensive. She was saying that she was not rude, and short with him. Which I replied with well if you would let me finish what I was saying then I would believe that you weren’t rude. But since you won’t even let me finish, you keep cutting me off, before I could even finish my sentence, she cut me off again. I told her I’m just trying to have a conversation with you, and then she hung up on me. I tried calling back to the place of business, And was forwarded to voicemail a few times, so I gave up calling. My next step was to research the business online to find an owner or manager, and come to find out. Miss Margaret is the owner of the business. I hope this review, helps Margaret in her future customer service relations to better serve her clientele. Whether it be a paying client or a client that is requesting information. I’m sorry our conversation ended the way it ended. And I hope you have the day that you deserve. God bless.

Great friendly place to bring your pets to be taken care of as you have plans for vacation or in case of an emergency. Easy to get a hold of, great rates, and my two dogs always come home happy! Doggy day care I recommend to all in the county.

Wow! Love this place and the dogs do too. I let the dogs know that they are going to doggy daycare and they get extremely excited! I feel confident my dogs get the same care each time they stay. Affordable and Quality care

Thank you to Doggie Day Care for working with my husband and I during a very stressful time. My dogs typically do OK in crates when we travel but for some reason they freaked out at the motel we were at forcing us to find a last minute person to board our animals on Labor Day weekend. Doggie Day Care saved our BUTTS and were more than accomidating due to our circumstances. They have a beautiful set up and as much as I hated leaving my fur-kids for the night - - I was left at ease knowing they'd be in good hands. Thanks again. 5 Stars!!

Our dog was injured in their care and based on the opinion of our vet, the injury occurred at least 1-2 days prior to our dog being taken to our vet resulting in severe infection requiring surgical intervention. Owner claimed she didn’t know what happened, no help with medical bills ($1800 worth) - just a “sorry.”

Great place, fair price, friendly atmosphere. My dog loves coming here and is always happy and full of energy when I pick her up.

I am absolutely thrilled to have found this kennel facility! Amayla Kennels is a beautiful facility with great accommodations for animals and great staff as well who truly love what they do! My very anxious dog did wonderfully in their care.. I can not say the same for other kennels we have tried! Will be using them again!!!

Very friendly service. They raise dogs, and, after meeting them, you can see they really LIKE dogs. I have had 2 Yorkies. I recently got a new puppy & we needed to find a groomer. I've always been afraid to leave my dog anywhere, but I had no problem leaving my dog with them. They have "doggie day care", and very nice kennels, too.

First class facility! Amy and Kayla immediately gained my confidence and won our three dogs over right away. I viewed the accommodations and was impressed with the quality of the construction and the sturdy fencing. We have a Houdini and I was certain she would not escape! The pups were allowed to run and play in a well fenced area. Our dogs are very high energy so the play time was a big plus for us. We have never boarded our dogs. I am so confident in Amy and Kayla that we have already planned another adult get away in the near future. When we picked up the pups they were clean, well fed and very happy! Highly recommend this Kennel.

Great 1st visit! They worked with me on times for keeping my dog over the weekend & allowed pickup on Sunday which is hard to find. My pup seemed to love it and was very nicely groomed at pickup. She also slept good at home, so I know she got lots of activity while there.

I boarded two dogs over the weekend. They have never boarded before and they are very spoiled. Amy and Kayla made us all feel welcome and the girls really liked their stay. They have a fabulous facility, with the availability of covered runs (for the climbers or jumpers) automatic waterers, they feed on your schedule and treat your animal as one of theirs! They also worked with my crazy schedule for drop off and pick up!!! l highly recommend them and will be back!

Delighted with the care provided to my 16 yr old dog Abby. Margo was accomidating to my up in the air return date plans and dosing the suppliments Abby takes for her joints. Thanks for taking great care of her while I was away, Abby is very special and it's rare that she doesn't travel with me.

Very kind and my babies who are both old and don't do well at all being boarded and have health issues did well. They took great care of them. I had special instructions for medications and food and they took great care of them. I was able to relieve my stree and anxiety of leaving them! I would definitely recommend and use them again!!! After an enormous amount of research, my wife and I sent our two youngest GSPs to Russell for training. Ellie our two year old had obedience so she went for Bird Dog training. Addie, 10 months at start of training went for both obedience and bird dog training. Both stayed for four months. We are extremely impressed with Russell and the whole operation. We started talking with him last fall and dropped them off in March this year. I am impressed with all they learned. First off communication is key for us and Russell sends videos and texts and updates all the time keeping us apprised of our pups progress, complete with a comprehensive narration. We also spoke with him over the phone several times during their stay. You can tell Russell really cares for the dogs and their training. And our dogs loved working with him. So much so that during our one visit, they could care less “mom and dad” were there. They just wanted to hunt up some birds LOL. Russell knows his stuff, and upon delivery he spent plenty of time with me so I could learn the commands and tips and pointers on keeping the dogs safe (watered etc). Overall 5 stars. Would highly recommend.

We cannot recommend Russell’s professional dog training at Bosque River enough. We needed to board our dog for a summer of work travel and figured why not train her up on upland bird hunting. We were recommended to Russell by a local Austin boarding facility and couldn’t be happier with the results. It was a huge leap of faith leaving our dog with someone we didn’t know yet, but before we even dropped her off we felt confident in Russell’s thorough onboarding and discussions. She was with him for just over three months and he kept sending us regular updates and progress videos. To say she is a changed dog is an understatement. He worked on improving her general obedience as well as training her on hunting upland birds. We haven’t had the chance to hunt yet, but she is much better behaved with us, practically a night and day difference. Most importantly, she is still the loving dog she is at her core because Russell showers all of his visiting dogs with love and treats them like they are his own. We couldn’t be more delighted with the results and appreciate him for taking care of our dog for the summer!

Russell was the best choice we could have made! Our puppy Oakley is still the same dog we dropped off, with manners and an excellent understanding of retrieving and pointing and flushing birds. Russell gave me the opportunity to shoot a quail over her when we picked her up, and she did phenomenal!!

GREAT EXPERIENCE! Highly recommend Bosque River Dog Training. I stumbled upon Bosque River Dog Training in looking for somewhere to send our 1 year old GSP (Huckleberry) for bird dog training and specifically to prep for his NAVHDA Natural Ability Test (NAT). I saw some great reviews others had for Russell and his team and figured we would reach out, we are so very grateful we did! From the get-go Russell was prompt in answering all the questions we had in detail and made us feel very comfortable with sending Huck for the training. This was all new for us as Huck was our first bird dog and since we had him he was more of an indoor couch potato/hang out at the dog park kinda dog, so we were a little concerned how he might do being outdoors at night and adjusting to being a working dog. Throughout the entirety of Huck’s stay Russell provided constant feedback along with video updates and would walk us through the whole process on what Huck’s strong points and weaknesses were and where there needed to be improvement, along with teaching us all the things we needed to know about bird dog hunting and the NAVHDA testing process. Our dog learned a lot and we did too. When it came to NAVHDA testing day I was able to attend and watch Russell handle Huck through the entirety of the NAVHDA Natural Ability Test. It was such an awesome time watching Huck work birds in person for the first time and see him show off everything he had learned in training. To top it off, Huck performed amazingly on the test scoring 110 points out of the maximum 112. Russell has a gift for training dogs and he genuinely cares and treats them as his own. His communication skills make it all a perfect match up for someone you want training your dog. We were beyond pleased and plan to send our female GSP when the time comes. Thanks Russell!

Could not be more grateful for this business! Had the privilege of meeting and working with Russell these past 5 months and he was tremendous with Ranger. Every two weeks I was updated with videos and photos of his training process and can’t even begin to describe the amount of details that he went through with him. Highly recommend this place!

I just picked up my second dog from Bosque River Dog Training. I can’t speak highly enough of Russell and what he does with the dogs. He does a great job and I highly recommend him. I’d definitely use him again.

I sent both of my labs for bird dog training, Russel is a great person, hard worker and very knowledgeable. He was very open and honest from day 1, and was in constant communication throughout the training process. I received pictures and videos during the 4 month training that I showed off to my friends and family. he and his staff are great at what they do and have many different methods of training. They find what works best for each dog and do not wuit until your dog is trained. You are welcome to come out and work your dogs during training and after your dog leaves you can come back at any time to work your dog. He answered every call and text and cares as much for your dog as you do. I highly recommend Russel for all training needs.

Russell this is Kathy Higgins, we sent our Molly to you last March ‘23 for 30 days of obedience training. It has been a long 18 months for our “herding monster to mature” but she is now the best dog we have ever had. She has retained and expanded her obedience. She is a loving delightful barrel of energy who has learned to calm herself and instantly responds to heel when I need to regain control. Sending her to you was money well spent. 100% recommend Bosque River Dog Training! From the start Russell provided all the information needed and answered all questions about the training offered. Meeting Russell we knew that our GSP would be in great hands, Russell cared for our dog as if it was his own. We received regular updates and videos with explanations of the training he was working on, this was a great plus and helped us know she was doing great and being cared for. His knowledge and ability to understand each dog and adjust to make things work best for the dog and owners is outstanding! Took my German Shorthair “Ranger” to Bosque River Dog Training and they did a phenomenal job. Lots of open communication and daily/weekly progress videos. If anyone is looking for a high quality dog trainer, this is the place to go. Awesome job Bosque River Dog Training. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a trainer who truly cares about each and every dog and is very easily accessible to all owners wanting to be a part of the process. Seeing my dog point and retrieve in the field the day we picked him up was absolutely amazing. The dogs truly love Russell and they love him back! 10/10
