Cindy was amazing with our two cats - she sent us videos and photos every day and was attentive to their behavior (such as Meg tending to steal Liz’s food and Liz’s peculiarity about not eating in the same spot twice)! As a house guest, she was easy to host and left the house in amazing condition. I do hope she had a good time on her petsitting holiday as we did on our trip, knowing our pets had the company of a loving & caring individual. This was our first experience with housesitting and I cannot imagine a better start to this journey than we had with Cindy!

I didn’t get the opportunity to meet Kelli and Warren, but after being back just a couple of days I’ve already had a few neighbors mention to me how warm, personable and kind they are! Based on our video chats, texts, and the care provided I definitely agree. If Kelli and Warren apply for a sit at your home, I couldn’t recommend them more. Clear and consistent communication, friendly, very caring for pets. I returned to a very clean home with clear info on what had been done etc. Here comes the over and above part. As a housesitter on this site as well as a pet parent, I’ve had good and not so good experiences in other peoples homes. I usually feel really good about the exchange I offer, between my home, the location, and what a sweet dog I have, (although of course I’m biased.) But this time was a bit of a different story. Mid way through the sit I told Kelli I was going to extend my trip, and asked what time she’d be leaving so I could post for the additional days and coordinate with my boyfriend to clean and prepare for next sitter. Kelli instead offered to stay through the extension which made things easy! Then, a few hours later texts me “btw, we’ve been seeing some roaches” I’m of course mortified. I had seen some in my apartment previously and management had sent someone to spray and I thought it was all taken care of. Turns out that wasn’t the case, they were back with a vengeance and suddenly alongside Nico updates I was receiving roach updates as well. I told Kelli they could end the sit early, my bf could handle my dog and I would totally understand, but they opted to stay. Maintenance came to spray again while I was gone, and now I’m back and they are doing a multi unit attack, but what a nightmare! Kelli and Warren cleaned, took all of the dishes out of the cabinets to wash them, bought traps and just went over and above. TLDR: Great housesitters, can adapt in crisis, go over and above, and take dog great photos! 100/10 can recommend. Hopefully you still had some good times in Austin, and know that many of my neighbors would love to have y’all return to Austin just to hang out!

This was our first time using a pet or house sitter and the bar set by Leslie is very high! She is warm, friendly, communicative, responsible and very clean. Upon arriving, she immediately bonded with our rat terrier, Oreo, by bringing him a new frisbee (his favorite toy/activity) and throwing it for him in our backyard. Leslie has a sweet and mellow dog, Benny, who is now Oreo's new buddy! She kept my husband and I updated via texts/pictures of their daily activities, our house, and was proactive in asking questions before she left. She even dropped our dog off at the kennel for one night at the end of our trip since our flight was too late for us to get home for him! Our home was clean and had fresh flowers from our garden that she put in vases for us! Such a simple and nice touch! We have asked Leslie to come back to sit for us again for 2 weeks in August. I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s) and home too!

Abby was truly the best pet sitter we've ever had. We were never concerned or worried about the care of our pups and home. All the neighbors have told me that the dogs looked happy on the many walks. She sent videos of photos about every other day. We hope that Abby will stay in our home next summer as well. Abby is very highly recommended by our whole family, including the dogs!!!

They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. I enjoyed meeting Samara. Sosha arrived after I left so we only communicated in writing. Samara is a sweet, considerate pet sitter. She brought her cat, who posed no difficulties to my pets. Samara was in good communication with me during her stay. She used my car without incident. My home was left much cleaner than upon her arrival. Samara proved to be an honest and responsible pet sitter and I would open my home to her at any time in the future.

Jacob sat for us during our holiday in March. We do not have any pets but we do have garden plants etc to look after. Jacob did a fantastic job of looking after the young plants that had arrived by post the day before we went away. He sent us regular updates and photos of how the plants were doing. We came home to a very clean and tidy house and thriving plants. Jacob did a great job and we have no hesitation in recommending him. If he comes back to the Uk and we require a sitter we will contact him first. Well done Jacob.

Mikala & Jake were great house & pet sitters for us!! Our dog and two cats absolutely adored them, and we came back to a very clean home with happy animals :) They were very reliable and fast communicators. They even had to deal with our power going out while we were away, and they handled it well. It eased our minds to know our animals and house were in such great care while we were away and would have them sit for us anytime!

If you’re lucky enough to find Anna as your pet sitter you will have peace of mind and well cared for pets whilst you are away and a clean and tidy home on your return. Anna is thoughtful and kind, she arrived the evening before the sit which allowed for some time to hear about her interesting travels and work, kept me updated with fabulous photos and details of the friendship she was making with the cats and even took the trouble to fix a sticky catch on the cat flap. We have left our Oakley with the Ruff-Inn Pet Lodge several times! Each time we pull up - our sweet girls leaps out of our car and heads straight to the gate to run and play. It’s such a good feeling knowing she’ll be loved on, taken care of, and allowed to run and play while we are away, rather than sit in a small kennel all day. 1,000% recommend!!
I can't remember the owner's name to save my life but she is absolutely amazing! Are two year old boxer never likes going to boarding houses or kennels but when we take him to the Roof Inn he is trying to tear through the car door to get out and go inside and play! The first time we picked him up from there he looks like he actually put on weight any other time we taking him anywhere else he lost a bunch of weight that says enough in and of itself.
Awesome place , our fur babies love it here. We always know they are well taken care of and enjoying their time at the inn, so that we may rest easy when they can't be with us. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend for your fur babies.
Our dog loves to hang out at Ruff-Inn Pet Lodge! Miss Amy does a great job with him and he doesn’t even care to tell us bye when we drop him off. The process for drop off and pick up is super easy and Amy is wonderful to work with.
Best quality pet care you can get in the area! Amy is top notch. My dogs love coming here! Amy does her very best to accommodate all of our needs. I am 100% worry free when I drop my dogs off here!

My Kylo absolutely loves going to the Ruff-Inn Pet Lodge. Very clean and spacious. Miss Amy is awesome with her guests. There's no looking back when Kylo walks thru that gate! Peace of mind when you leave your pets at the Ruff-Inn.
This is seriously the best place! Ms. Amy is so great with all the dogs and takes great care of them. Will drop off to you too if needed… seriously the greatest place and she handles my high maintenance girl beautifully ❤️
Fantastic facility, people and amenities! The family is very welcoming and treats my dog as there own! The facility is clean, ALWAYS! and the amenities include a fire hydrant, pond with a bridge to the island if they dont like the water, toys galore and much more!
Harper loved her first stay at Ruff-Inn! I felt very comfortable leaving my fur baby there. I would definitely recommend!

I brought my dog here hoping he would have some fun with other dogs and get some outdoor exercise since there are no dog parks in Alice TX and it was not worth it, I won't be returning. This place is disgusting, it's just small warehouse with a circle playpen inside with a few toys scattered around the floor. They don't take your dogs outside so the entire place smells like urine and it's dark with no windows. There are no activities for the dogs to do or play on like a normal dog daycare even though they have a large outdoor yard they do not use it so your dog is either locked up or stuck inside a playpen. Whoever owns this place is clearly not a dog lover. Do NOT recommend.
I thought long and hard about leaving a review but if it saves a life then here we go. If you value your dog don’t leave it here. Boarding your pet is an 8 to 5 job for them. Your pet will stay in a kennel and be only let out a couple of times a day. My dogs eat twice a day. They were only feeding them once a day every time I would pick up my Pets it always came with a vet bill. There was something always wrong anything from cough, to rashes and even injuries. Once I brought up a complaint and was told “Oh that’s not that bad we have a dog back there that just chewed off its toe” like it was an everyday thing! Find somewhere else to leave your pet. Trust me.
My mom loves this place, always asks me to drop off our dog for a bath. Our Maggie is usually very shy but the workers there treat her very patiently, Bruni and Mya make her feel comfortable :) And she always comes back smelling amazing, she's gotten used to her baths now and is much more open to play with other dogs. Definitely will keep coming ❤️
Great staff and wonderful facility. Patric and his crew really care about the animals and have a good working relationship w pet parents and their charges. Really appreciate the fact the staff enjoy animals and it shows . Peace of mind knowing that our pets are well cared for on any occasion when we need pet boarding. Our blue heeler gets along w no one: he bonded wonderfully w patric and that was remarkable. We give 5 stars plus!
I recently left my pet at VIPet Boarding for a couple of days and I must say I am pretty dissatisfied with how service was conducted. I made a reservation for my pet days before their scheduled stay to assure that he would have a kennel. I gave dates of when drop off would be and when pick up would be. After picking him up and reviewing my receipt online (because I was told I couldn't get a print out and it would be emailed to me) I noticed that there were unknown charges added to my account. I had Christmas/New Years charges added, when my pet was not kenneled during this time. When I called to question the charge, I was placed on hold for over 10 min. and hung up due to no answer. Once they finally returned my phone call, they stated that holiday rates start way before the holidays. Upon looking at the VIPet Website, I do understand it says that an additional fee will be added for Holidays but it is not specific on time frame. This is very misleading for customers and leads to additional fees being added without them knowing. Also, I called to ask if they could add a bath to my pet prior to me picking up my pet and they stated to me that they wouldn't be able to do it until the following day after 10am and never mentioned a late check-out fee that was also added to my bill. Again, very misleading and should of been mentioned or stated online about late check-out fees. Very disappointed in service as I had to end up paying additional fees I was unaware of. Wish this would of been avoided by having them tell me about added fees or having them clearly stated online. I will be thinking twice about leaving my pet over at VIPet Boarding again....
The 1st time I took my dog the there we left him for a week seems good then I boarded him again this passed weekend he was not bathed like I had instructed the lady there made a comment when I picked up my dog and said "oh good I can clean his kennel" I thought that was strange when I got my dog to put him in the car his head a poop all over his head and all over his button like hi was sitting on it he stunk so bag worse then what had dropped him off I just took him home and bathed him myself that's because when I dropped him off I gave them a compliment on how good he smelled and for days. Yeah I was so disappointed this 2nd time 😔
Very clean establishment, the younger girl and with the longer hair and the man helped my German shepherd come back smelling good and with her nails trimmed perfect at a good price will be for sure taking my dog Keira back. 5 stars to her for the amazing service and job.
I absolutely love this place. The staff is fabulous and they did a great job on grooming my dogs that were visiting from Europe.
