Jon and Freda are the most kind and caring people we have ever met. Our dogs Sandi and Lucy were treated more special than anyone could imagine. They became a part of their family with lots of attention and tender loving care. Both dogs were spoiled and enjoyed ventures to Tractor Supply, Petsmart and Home Depot and even rides around the local lakes. Lucy received a special new cuddly bed on one trip. Our pups were more than well cared for as was obvious by Jon and Freda’s attention to detail making them feel well loved. They very quickly learned their personalities and were great about communicating with questions or concerns to ensure that the best possible care was given. We received pictures, special moments and regular updates on our fur kids. We came home to a well-maintained house inside and out. We were and are so appreciative to have such a great couple (Jon and Freda) to stay in our house and to take care of our dogs, Sandi and Lucy. We came back to two very calm, relaxed and happy dogs. I know that they missed them when they left since they looked around to find them after they had left. There were also some beautiful flowers left for us when we returned home; so very thoughtful! It is very comforting to know that when you go away that you have such fantastic people watching your house and dogs. We would love to have them come sit at our house sometime in the future. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a perfect house/dog sitter……on a scale of 1 to 10….10 is not a high enough rating. A great big thanks to Jon and Freda for helping us with some flexibility as we were able to be there for our son's college graduation and do all of the necessary things to move him out of his apartment as well as visit some family and friends. Leslie and Kyle set the bar for all other pet sitters! On the first morning of their stay my cat got out due to a faulty window in my apartment and they handled the situation so well. Leslie sent a text explaining what happened and that my cat had returned safely and she was so calm about the whole thing that it put me at ease for the rest of my trip. Kyle went above and beyond and not only fixed the window screen (he actually fixed two screens during their stay!) but also made sure the window was secure until maintenance could come and fix the issue. Their go with the flow attitude was amazing. I would 100% have them sit for me again! I can not recommend them enough. You would be lucky to have Leslie and Kyle as your sitters :)

Tom provided a last minute sit when my 2 week long trip got extended to the 3rd. The previous zeewoi sitter was no longer available for the 3rd week, and Tom came in as a savior. As requested, he started his sit a day prior to the posted dates (thank you for being flexible). He met the prior zeewoi in person, since I was not in town, and got to know the house and cats quickly. He sent pictures of the cats each day and added a note about their well being. He was independent and was able to figure out how to use the litter genie on his own. I returned to a clean home and healthy happy cats. Has no business caring for animals, subpar care, and they can't seem to keep staff (which is concerning and reflects about their business). After giving them a few tries after trying another terrible facility in the area, I will be traveling the extra hour for a place worth a damn.
My kids love it here. I took my four dogs there and they stayed five days. The staff is wonderful. One took time to love on all of them everyday. They are happy to see me when I come to get them but there is no stress that I see. I will continue bringing my pack here. This was their fifth visit.
This is truly a wonderful and caring place to take your pet. Everyone there is concerned for your pet and will love on them.

My dog gets excited when I take her there to be boarded & the vets are wonderful!!!! I live two hours away, but its worth it to me! I trust them & know that my dog gets wonderful treatment. I would recommend them to anyone with a fur baby! Added bonus the fee to board is extremely reasonable! But knowing that your Pet is treated like family; you can’t beat that!!!!! We bring our 4 dogs here all the time for daycare and they love it! We were worried since 2 of them have separation anxiety but they don’t miss us at all here. They are outside playing throughout the day and the staff are really nice. Boarded our dogs here for a night as well and the price is much better than you’ll find anywhere else. This place is legit and right next door to an animal hospital too.

Our dogs wag their tails and are excited to go into Bayside for boarding, doggy day care and canine nail clippings. The staff are pleasant, kind, and know the dogs by name and personality. They are especially attentive and careful with our arthritic senior dog. I believe the dogs tail wags and thrill to go into the kennel area speaks volumes for Bayside and the care they provide.
I have never had to leave my dogs with anyone but family until this summer. Bayside Pet Emporium is EVERYTHING I could hope for. They knew my dogs habits in detail so I know they were well looked after. I was also happy to find them clean and smelling good (without a bath).

We have been boarding our cat Jack at 4 Leggers for the past four years. The cat condos provide a quiet, private space for each kitty, and the staff is friendly and caring. The price is also extremely reasonable. Best of all, Jack never seems stressed or nervous when we pick him up, unlike experiences we had with other boarders.
For a couple of years now 4 Leggers has been grooming my little "Baby" who is a Yorkie/Dachshund mix. They always giver her great care and kindness. In recent months she has been dealing with a back injury and they were so gentle with her and handled her like a baby. Unfortunately my vet says they do not recommend any future grooming due to her permanent nerve damage in her back. I just wanted to thank everyone at 4 Leggers for all their fine work and love for my "Baby". I would highly promote them and their wonderful services for the Northern Neck.

I took my Sparky for a grooming on June 4th. He was supposed to be groomed with no hair cut from his ears or tail. I pick him up and there is no hair at all on his tail. The hair on his ears was cut. Very unhappy about it. I brought it to the attention of Travis. He said he was sorry. He did not offer to cut the price of the bad haircut. Just said he would wite it down. Well, it should have been written down from Sparkys last visit. Will not be going back. Customer lost.
I have grown up in this area and these folks are the absolute sweetest people to interact with. My dogs are very comfortable being here and I would trust them 100 times over to take care of my dogs and treat them as if they were their own. The staff has a caring sense about themselves that is absolutely heartwarming and you will feel that in your first interaction.
I just had my Pomeranian shaved for the summer season. They did a great job and he looks absolutely cute. The owners are nice people as well. I took a star off because they still will not let people in the building without a mask. The CDC has stated that people who have been vaccinated can enter buildings without a mask and even the governor of our state has said the same thing.
I took my Havanese here to get groomed and Pam did such a good job he looks so much better I’m sure he feels better very nice professional clean business, Travis was great too. So impressed! We will be returning

The staff at sandy creek took amazing care of my 3 Labrador’s for a week. In 30+ years this is the first time my dogs have not come home traumatized by a kennel stay. For the last 10 years I have never boarded them because of our experiences across the world with boarding facilities. 10 out of 10 for this team!!!! The old owners were great. The new owners seem even better. My doggo is SO HAPPY to go there and stay. I swear she gets a vacation when I leave town. It is always clean and friendly. The owner has a ton of her own animals and saves many. This is my only call when I am going on vacation.
I have used a lot of boarding kennels over the years, and I have to say Sandy Creek Pet Resort is one of the best! I show dogs and I am very picky about where my guys stay when I have to be out of town. I have absolutely no worries when I leave them at Sandy Creek. First of all, it is one of the cleanest kennels I’ve ever been in. There is absolutely no odor. That can only be achieved with meticulous, sanitation, and cleaning. When I did my tour through the kennel, the dogs that were there were very quiet and relaxed. a very good sign when the energy of the dogs being boarded is that serene. The staff is wonderful. Very caring. Very focused on your dogs. I’ve called other kennels over the years to check on my dogs and it’s always a one line answer. They’re fine. When I called to check on my guys at Sandy Creek I get a full rundown of what they’ve been doing. And how they coping with their stay. Boarding pets is stressful enough without having to worry about what’s going on while you’re away. I leave mine with Sandy Creek and I have absolutely no worries!
Sandy Creek provides amazing care for our sweet pups whenever we go out of town. The dogs actually LOVE to have their own little “vacation”, and always are rested and happy to see us when we return! We are quite particular where we board our pups, and Sandy Creek is by far the best we have found between the river area and Richmond. We would happily drive miles farther to know our pups are getting the amazing care they receive at Sandy Creek!

OUTSTANDING! The Disney of kennels!! My 2 Mastadors and their mother, a Neopolitan Mastiff, are now there together but prior to today, the 2 daughters were at a different kennel (I'll leave unnamed for now) during home reconstruction work being done..... we have four pups. The 2 Mastadors were neglected at the prior kennel, but Donna, Michelle, and her crew at Sandy Creek restored their health and happiness. I honestly couldn't BE more grateful 🙏 and got to visit them today. 💓 The true pup Resort is amazingly clean and stunningly gorgeous. If you're boarding your pet, it's worth the drive. Bravo!!! I will forever use your services!
Just had my dogs there for 9 days. After an in depth conversation with my dogs, I am told they had a fantastic stay! They said the ladies were all very kind to them. They said they had a great deal of play time. In all seriousness, I had peace of mind when “off the grid” for 9 days. I called once and knew they were in good hands. No issues. And that’s great since one of them has anxiety. The other has medical issues….worth the hour and a half drive to their beautiful facility.
The staff is so kind. They always do a beautiful job on my baby girl. So helpful and knowledgeable. I love going there to. If I ever need to board her it will be there.

We boarded our 2 dogs for 9 days. This place was amazing with them. The place is clean, the staff was kind with great customer service. Our dogs are high maintenance with some anxiety and allergy issues. They had no problems and were completely taken care of! I would recommend this place 1000 times over!
Love this kennel and doggy daycare! The owners are the kindest caring people I know. Darius and Jamie really love what they do! Our border collie Patrick has been going there for many years. He is always well loved, exercised, cared for and all his basic needs are met. We have a difficult time getting him to go home when we pick him up. Thanks you for being such a great place to board my dog.
The owners and staff at Dobe Run are awesome! They have always taken excellent care of our dogs and were extra helpful and flexible during a recent extended stay of a sick family member's dog. The facility is very clean with plenty of room for dogs to get outdoor exercise during their stay. I highly recommend Dobe Run Kennel and appreciate the excellent customer service provided by the owners and staff!
The staff is amazing and my dogs love them. They no longer offer full grooming , but still do baths. Their daycare options are great if you don't need overnight.
We take our fur baby to Dobe Run at least 3 times a year! He gets so excited when we pull in and when we walk in they know him and his tail wags and he runs to the staff! I would recommend them to every pet owner!!!!
We couldn't have been happier with Dobe Run and their daycare services! The staff was very welcoming and accommodating for our dog Hank while were on vacation in Gloucester, VA. He must of had a great time too because on the second day he jumped out of the truck and dragged me inside... Love these guys. Our high strung cocker always runs right in. They seem to spend plenty of time with the dogs and our dog never seems to mind being left, even tho he is quite happy when he gets picked up.
Generally, my dogs are anxious creatures but they always leave Dobe Run happy! I love how many "layers" of fencing they have, the facility is clean and safe, and the staff is great with my pets. I definitely recommend trusting Dobe Run with your pets!

Have been a client for years and always satisfied. In April, the last time they kept our dogs it cost $200 for a week. Just picked them up from a weeks stay and it was $406. I can understand a rate increase but not double and not bothering to tell you about it until after the fact. I told her they would not be coming back, her response was “ that’s fine”. So much for appreciating 15+ years of customer loyalty.
My 2 little ones were very well taken care of. Lynda did an excellent job of looking out for them. She noticed little details that most other people would have missed. Would rate more stars if I could.
Stopped in to get info on boarding two dogs, person running the place at the time basically ignored us being there, rude. We tried to be patient but, left thinking if that's the way the treat people, how do they treat your animals?
Linda, the owner, was great. We left our dog there for a long weekend and she was clearly well taken care of. Would definitely recommend.

I cannot speak of Lynn more highly. We have used Lynn several times now for house sitting and multiple drop ins for our two dogs. Each visit is dealt with great professionalism by Lynn as she treats our home with respect and treats our pups as her own. Both dogs adore her! She sends plenty of photos in which we can clearly see how truly happy the dogs are in her care. I am thankful to have found such a wonderful sitter for our dogs who we can trust while we are away. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about All For Cobalt! Marla is THE best! Traveling for a living can be difficult at times, and having a nervous dog can make it challenging to find the right person to provide care. From the moment Marla came over for the meet & greet, she somehow calmed my timid dog with just her presence. For the first time in 7 years, my dog felt comfortable approaching a stranger within minutes and she quickly fell in love with Marla! I’ve never met another pet caregiver with such a special gift than Marla, she treated my dog as if she were her own. Marla spent time getting to know me and my dog, she was pleasant, professional, trustworthy, and made my dog feel comfortable in a new surrounding. If you’re looking for the best of the best, look no further, Marla is the “top dog” and “leader of the pack” when it comes pet caregivers. I really cannot say enough good things about her, and wish she could travel with us!

Marla made sure to provide regular updates and, importantly, someone to engage with and play for our two cats. She did awesome in making sure our two cats were happy and healthy. The best and most reliable pet sitter we've ever worked with! Marla has watched our 5 cats a few times now. We always come home to find them and our house in great shape. Her prices are very reasonable, and she spends lots of time with them during her visits and goes above and beyond sending us daily updates which we personally love. Marla takes the stress out of leaving our cats when we go away and I cannot recommend All for Cobalt enough!

Marla was amazing with my two babies. My dogs are not left alone very often and suffer from separation anxiety when I do leave them. Marla went above and beyond to make sure they were well taken care of and loved. I have owned dogs for 20 years and she is THE ABSOLUTE BEST pet sitter we have ever had. We can’t recomend All For Cobalt highly enough! I was nervous about traveling but when we met I knew my 4 cats were in great hands. I could tell right away that Marla loved animals, was extremly experienced, and super detailed. She took notes on each kitty and there were backup plans to the backup plans. Marla sends daily updates and it was awesome to watch the shyest cats slowly fall in love with her through daily updates! I would give a 100 out of 5 stars if I could - it’s such a relief when your away that someone who genunily cares and has a ton of experience is coming by to spoil your little munchkins.
Marla is fantastic!!! All for Cobalt was recommended to me when we were trying to figure out what to do with our kitty, Billy, while on vacation this year. I had been completely stressed thinking I was going to have to drive home several times during the week to check on him. Let me just say, Marla is the best!! She visited Billy 4 times while we were gone, made sure he was fed, had water and cleaned his box. On top of that she stayed for about 45 mins, brought him toys and catnip, AND he loved her! Billy doesn’t like people; however we got pictures and videos of him not only on his own but him right there with Marla allowing her to pet him, play with him and brush him!! I am beyond pleased and will never have anyone else come to care for him! I highly recommend Marla with All for Cobalt!
I highly recommend All for Cobalt pet care! Can't say enough good things about the care provided to our older chihuahuas, one of which requires medication and a special diet. Marla took the time to get to know them, their routine, and us prior to pet sitting. Our dogs almost immediately took to her. She provided regular updates and pictures so that we had piece of mind regarding how the dogs were doing. You can tell she really cares about animals and treated our fur babies like family!

I recently had a quality of life visit for my sweet Booboo she is a chihuahua. I decided to euthanize her due to her deteriorating health. Dr. Fiddler, the assistant and Mrs. Terry were so accommodating, friendly, kind and understanding. They professionally took care of us and my sweet girl. Thank you Paws! Best doggie daycare I have ever been to! Not over crowded and each dog has their own suite to rest in. My puppy Lola is shy and had a bad experience at another daycare previous to Paws. They worked hard building her confidence. Karen is a master at picking the right dogs to play with each other. Our dog enjoys going to Paws Pet Resort to day care or to board. They play with all the animals inside and outside. The staff is very friendly and cater to any special needs. It is a very clean and well run place. I highly recommend!
We had a family emergency and had to leave out of town in two hours. Paws Pet Resort stepped up and took cared of our little Molly so we could be with a family and know that she was in good hands. Thank you for being so flexible and taking care of our little Molly, we missed her so much.
My Jubilee came home a happy camper after her stay at Paws Pet Resort. The camping was more like ‘glam-ping’ as overnight guest accommodations replicate a cozy home environment with cushy slipcovered sofa and/or club chair and flat screens! Staff members are professional, nice people who shared lots of love with Jubilee. Felt good leaving Jubie here after scouring reviews, meeting members of the team, and touring the facility; and, Paws Resort proved me right.
Bag of mixed feelings here. Yes, it seems like my dog did well here. I am also glad they were able to fit me in on memorial weekend just a few days prior. However, the human to human service was awful. I came in to this business with my dog and there is this lady, one of the older ladies with white hair, who appears to be the owner or manager, who at first sight just oozes passive aggressiveness. Now all people make mistakes and I did not read the part where I had to have a collar on my dog, this lady starts harping over “it’s in the contract” and in a span of 1 minute reminding me about 4 times that my dog needs a collar. If you give me a chance I’ll go back and get one, I had barely just said hello. The rest of the checkin in process was exactly the same. It seems like she treats everyone the same because even her employees stayed quiet and somewhat submissive for example when she spoke to the younger lady at the front desk.Perhaps this line of work has her thinking everyone are dogs and they must be submissive? Maybe a hammer thinks everything is a nail situation? When I came to pick up my dog, which went much better, it was only slightly dampened when I saw the [owner/manager?] I respectfully said hello, and ignored me like I wasn’t there. Someone, if you’re reading this, give this lady back her cats. I won’t be coming back until you do
I live in the suburbs of D.C, but am from the 757, so I board my "yorkie daughter" with Paws at least 3 times a year. I'm very picky about who she stays with and though the drive can be up to 3-3.5 hours each way, it is well worth it. I don't have to worry about my baby girl and can vacation in peace either internationally or domestically because I know my sweet and sometimes timid or loud Valentine is in great hands, along with my "nephew Yorkie!" I love the owner so much and the desk assistant. They are very nice people! I also love getting birthday emails for my Valentine every February 15. Paws is really great!
I cannot say enough good things about Paws Pet Resort! Karen and her staff are amazing in every way! The attention and love they give to the animals is beyond compare in my opinion! The facility is extremely clean! My dog boards there as well as goes to Doggie Daycare and she loves it there and always is so happy to see the ladies and her doggie friends :-) I would highly recommend them and I'm so grateful for all they do :-)
It is too bad that we can only give a five star rating to the Paws Pet Resort ,as opposed to ten stars !!! Not only was the resort a "Resort" for my pet but I felt reassured and relaxed about her stay away from home. The staff was kind, courteous and concerned about her welfare. We were both treated like welcomed guests. SO, FOUR PAWS UP ! Thank you from us both.
