We LUV Happy Hounds. They take such GREAT care of our two Girls while they're there. We get daily reports with pictures of them playing everyday. It makes us feel better, knowing they're being cared for by people who TRULY CARE about our Babies! (2 pics sent while we were gone)

We had a wonderful experience with our dogs at Happy Hounds. We will be using them for all of our boarding needs in the future. I loved the daily pictures that we got to ensure us the dogs were doing okay.

We had to find a last minute boarding due to hurricane Helene and Happy Hounds was awesome. They were very flexible and helpful, took care of ours pups and kept us updated with pictures!

I was so happy with our first experience at Happy Hounds! We went out of town for our wedding and unfortunately couldn't take our 7 month old goldendoodle with us. But you can tell from the photos, he was in great hands. I so appreciated the daily updates and photos of our sweet boy. Hank will be staying with them again soon while we're on our honeymoon and I'm sure he will have a blast!

We take our husky mix, Bailey, here!! She can be nervous around new people but is excited to go to Happy Hounds. They send us pictures every day showing us how happy she is there. The facility is extremely clean and the pups are very well taken care of at Happy Hounds. We could not recommend this place more!!

We boarded our babies here while we were on a cruise a couple of weeks ago. It was Aspen’s (small one) second time here. Ripp had never been boarded before so I was nervous. I was able to request for them to stay in a kennel together as well as go out for play time together & that definitely made me feel more at ease. I got pictures every day & updates about how they were doing. Ripp can be rambunctious & Aspen is usually a super nervous dog. But it seems to me that they felt super comfy with the Happy Hounds team & we will definitely be using them again!

I am not one to write reviews, but I cannot thank happy hounds enough for their outstanding service! I am very protective over my dog and who cares for her. Happy hounds is the first and only place I will board my dog! There facility is clean and well-kept, but more importantly it is evident they care about your pup! They text me pictures everyday of my dog and update me on her status, which I appreciate more than they know! Aside from this, my dog is always excited and happy when she arrives which says everything! I want to thank happy hounds and their staff for all they do!

Bad isn't even the word. They left my mini poodles hair uneven on her side her legs, her back. They left a humongous matte in her tail that I had to get out(see pics). They left her eyes dirty where they had drained. I just wouldn't recommend this business for grooming to anyone. Never again will I take my dog there.

My doggie stayed a week while we were on vacation, apparently he loved it and when he came home, he smelled so good and looked so cute with his Halloween bandanna, reasonably priced- will definitely bring him back!

BEWARE: I have no confidence in the competence and attentiveness of the staff here. We have used Affinity Retreat for both grooming and boarding many times over the past five years. We stopped using their grooming services about a year ago because the haircuts for my dog were inconsistent, and finally on the last visit I noticed scabs under his arm from the clippers where a knot was likely shaved out. Accidents happen, but we should have been notified of it. And, that should have been a warning to us. The last straw was a recent boarding stay for our same pup. When we came back, we picked him up at 6 pm on a Thursday. By Friday morning, we had him in the vet on an IV to be treated for a 106-degree fever, colitis, and a fire-engine red hot spot near his rear and tail. I regret not capturing a photo at the time. Now, I want to be fair: I cannot--with certainty--blame Affinity Retreat for my dog's condition. Unfortunately, some dogs have bad reactions to boarding, even in good conditions. It is possible they could not have done anything to prevent it. Even we failed to notice any hot spot Thursday evening (he's got a furry tail). We had our dog bathed by their staff before we picked him up and they didn't mention anything. We did see him scoot his butt on the carpet once that Thursday night, but he was mostly laying around tired--not uncommon when we pick him up from boarding. HOWEVER, for our dog to be in the poor condition that he was, the vet certified he would have had significant diarrhea in the days prior. When we picked him up, there was no warning from Affinity about this, and after I called to confront the staff once our dog was hospitalized they had no awareness of it. They had claimed to "express his anal glands" during the pre-pickup bath on Thursday, which I find hard to believe would have been possible to do without noticing some problem, though I am not an expert in dog's anal glands. I am disappointed by the condition he was in, but I am livid and writing this review to warn you because of the lack of awareness and professionalism of the staff for his well-being. A good boarder should have a record of bowel movements, eating habits, etc. Our dog's condition should not have been a surprise to them, and we should have been notified. All told, it has cost us nearly $1,500 in veterinary care for him to recover from his stay at Affinity. Again, when I called to confront the staff about his condition, no compensation or even a partial refund was offered for what we had spent to board him. I do not recommend this place for any service, and I caution you to ask questions of them if you choose to use them and inspect your pet carefully upon pickup before returning home. It seems to that "you get what you pay for." I highly encourage you to pay a little more to have your pet cared for by veterinary professionals who will watch for any stress and know what they are looking for. Passion for animals should not be confused with competence. The attached photo is a list of services needed at the vet the day after we picked up our dog and does not include the follow up appointment and additional medication that has been required.

We’ve brought out fur babies here for years. They absolutely love this place and we do to. They offer products. The prices are beyond competitive and the staff is fabulous . Im on here seeing if i can book with them online right now.

Affinity was wonderful with my two doodles! They were extremely helpful when scheduling the appointment and our doodles were beautiful. Definitely will return.

I have been taking my puppy to Affinity Retreat every two weeks for grooming for the past 5 months. I get so many compliments on how wonderful he looks after he is receives his spa day. His white fur is always bright white, soft, and cleaning smelling. I have also boarded our dog at Affinity and felt that our pup was well taken care of. Richard and Dale have always been professional and have shared health, behavioral, and grooming tips with me as I am a new dog owner. My dog is always excited when he goes to Affinity and especially when he sees Dale and Richard. I couldn't ask for a better experience for my pup!

Absolutely the best grooming and care around! 13 1/2 years of nothing but excellence in every area for my fur babies! Some of the best people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing and doing business with! If you want your pets to feel loved and be pampered by the absolute best, this is the place! Personally I would recommend them if you need somewhere cheap to board your fur babies, but in my experience, I will not be boarding with them again. As a vet tech who has worked many years at vet clinics and even ran the boarding facility at the clinics, never in my life have I ever been soo disappointed in the care my babies received. I boarded 3 fur babies with them this past weekend and I’m not even sure what happened. Went in for pickup this evening and there was this awful smell coming from the lobby. ( that can be prevented with proper cleaning) it took the girl over 10 minutes to bring my babies up and when she did, they smelled like they had been laying in their own feces the whole weekend. The smell was horrible. It smelt like my dogs had been out in a dog box hunting and using the restroom all on themselves. All three of my dogs have white paws and they came out with brown and “mud” caked to their bellies. My basset hound bless her heart was hollering for me when she came out from the back and she smelled horrible. I understand that they charge extra for a bath before pickup, but this was unacceptable. I literally had to scrub my babies when we got home. It was awful.

This place is awesome. Our dog comes home so tired from playing all day and he loves it. When we get there he pulls me into the door he is so excited. And the people there are so nice.

We left our 4 month old puppy here for a weekend. We were anxious at first because she was shaking upon entry; but figured since we didn't receive a call that she was in good hands. We picked her up and she smelled & looked amazing (maybe given a bath, idk) and she seemed to have had a great time. The staff assured me she played with other dogs and didn't have any issues. Thank you Affinity Retreat for the best prices in the area & special care given by your staff; we'll be sure to return.

Miss Trish is a gem. She treats the dogs as they were her own. We have a special needs dog who is blind and deaf and she loves the place. The kennel is clean and the help is kind and loving. Miss Trish communicates reliably by text and phone. We give Okatoma the highest rating and since our dogs are our family we are very grateful for their excellent services!

We've used Okatoma for a few years now and they're fantastic. Our dog is very nervous and gets scared easily, but this is one place he's excited to go. He loves the Okatoma folks -- they're good to him and very kind. Highly recommend.

Our Great Dane "Zeus" stayed a few nights there and they are absolutely wonderful! He had a great time and they took extremely good care of him. Great Danes are huge and most shy away due to his size. They were open arms to our big baby and that meant a lot to us. I highly recommend here for your fur babies! They accommodate all sizes!! 💙

This is the only place I will use to board my dog. He loves going to “doggie camp”. He loves Ms Tish and the rest of the staff. They always take great care of him.

The staff is so friendly and they make you feel right at home. The kennel is heated so your furbabies stay nice and warm. The price is reasonable and I’m so grateful to have placed my dogs with them to care for during the holidays. They now have a lifelong customer!

I am one of those crazy dog owners. I have heard horror stories about dogs coming home from boarding with wounds, kennel cough, anxiety... After reading the reviews, I decided to go visit Okatoma Kennel and I was not disappointed. My dog spent two weeks with them recently for Christmas and I was a nervous wreck, but Ms. Trish was available through messages at all times. We picked up Ayla and she just seemed happy to be there. They have been in the business for years, and you can tell. The fact that they are animal lovers and live on site gives me peace of mind. They are my go-to place for doggy holidays now.

The owners are so wonderful!! She knew I was nervous about leaving my baby doggy!! My Tootsie, is 9 months old and never stayed away from home. They went above and beyond, even texting me pictures and updates!! I highly recommend this boarding facility!!

Rachel is amazing and she loves animals! Not only does she love them, but she loves yours as well. She made me feel so comfortable and took such good care of my Sadie. She sends pictures of your fur babies and checks in. She even put my Sadie on speaker phone so I could talk to her. I can't say enough awesome things about her. I would highly recommend her taking care of your doggies!

Rachel is awesome. My dogs Lina and Ruby Tuesday loved it at her place! You could tell by their pictures Rachel sent to me while they stayed and how they acted when I picked them up! We had been having trouble with our boxer charging out of the kennel when we opened it and Rachel fixed that problem too!! I'm so relieved to finally find a place I feel comfortable with. We will be back soon. They also smelled so good from getting a bath.🐶

My friend recommended Rachel to us and we were so glad to find somewhere other than a kennel to keep her for a few days. Sadie Dakota had a great time with Rachel . I could tell that Rachel really spent time with her. She updated me with pics and made me feel really comfortable that Sadie was in good hands. Definitely recommend Wag Town !!!!

Let me tell you... When Darnell and Barbara my two rescue babies stay with Miss Rachel at Wagtown they don't even want to come home they love it so much. They come back reluctantly but fat and fine and smelling oh so good. Thanks Rachel me and my kids love you

Little Leo loves coming to see Miss Rachel!!! He is usually such a skittish little thing, but he just goes right to her! And I know that she takes care of him the way I want her to...feeding him the food I drop off and giving him his special snacks. Two thumbs up for Wag Town!!!!

I would not trust anyone else watching my dog Francis and my cat Fisher while I'm out of town or working long hours. I trust the owner Rachel not only with my fur babies but with my home as well. I recommend her to anyone in Hattiesburg looking for a sitter or for daily walks.

This is not a boarding service. When you call the number you get a recording asking why you are calling a 4 year old. Makes no sense.

DO NO TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! This is my 16 YO yorkie...not a chihuahua...not an armadillo...before and after! This place is the 'Bates Motel' for dogs. Dark, junky...just dirty. Wish I would have trusted my instinct instead of giving them the benefit.

We have been boarding our three large dogs here for about a year, at least once a month I would say. Sure, the facility isn’t the cleanest and it’s a little cluttered, but our dogs are excited to go when we drop them off and are excited when we pick them up. They have never once acted skittish when we pick them up. They have been wet when picked up once but it was literally pouring outside and they had just gone potty. They help us unload and load every time. The prices are the best in town and they have stayed open late for us to pick them up an hour after they closed. Give them a chance.

DO NOT board your animals here!! I left mine for five days and when they brought them out they were covered in mud and the stench was horrendous! It was so bad I had to bathe them twice to get rid of the odor and will have to have my seats in my car cleaned. They literally looked like they had been sleeping outside in filth for the entire time. NEVER AGAIN.

Could barely get info over phone ... The guy obviously didn't care about getting my business. Offered ZERO information about their facility. When I questioned if they could care for older dog with special feeding needs he answered "Well.... we would try"... When asked if they have staff to care for dogs he answered "Well... Most of the time." I told him he was not giving any confidence that anyone would want to board their pet there. They certainly don't come across in a professional way. I won't go there and from the negative reviews I am in agreement ... I would give less than one star if that option was available. Sad. I don't know how someone can run a business this way. . . .

I took my puppy in and he had a trainee. I told them I wanted the teddy bear look but I didnt want him shaved. I overy heard him tell his trainee that customers would come in and ask for the teddy bear or a special kind of look and not to listen to all of that just cut them like they are supposed to look. I stayed while my puppy was being tended to and I heard my puppy cry and they told me it was because he didn't like the dryer. When I got my puppy back he had gaps cut in his hair and looked a mess. The guy told me that it would take time to get his hair like I wanted it and to bring him back in a month. When I got in the car with my puppy I noticed that his nails were bleeding. Needless to say I was as happy as my puppy when we finally left I didn't even worry about getting my money back and I didn't go back for the second appointment either. If you are thinking about going to this place don't just save time and money and don't. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Love this place! Had my puppy boarded overnight and had no issues checking her in or out. Well maintained. Also used the grooming services and they do a great job! Will use them again.

I would NEVER recommend this place to any one! I brought my cat to be groomed, (bathed and shaved), and my cat was was returned to me with patches of fur completely missing and LIMPING! I looked at his rear left paw and discovered that one of his claws had been RIPPED out!!! UNBELIEVABLE!! I tried to call and find out what had happened and was treated so very rudely. NO ATTEMPT to apologies or rectify the situation. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! NEVER BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT HIS/HER WELL BEING!!! Absolutely DISGUSTED!!!

I have a "hard to deal with dog" according to some, and this place takes extra special care of him. Mojo had a biting incident at a petsmart groomer bc he doesn't like his nails clipped, but they get them every time at canine country club. However, the beat part, is that I can tell he is sincerely okay when he's there. I mean he is happy when I pick him up, but he doesn't put the back brakes on when I take him here like he has done at boarding places in the past.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Our dogs were obviously distressed when we picked them up and the stench was horrendous, they are adult potty trained dogs who both had multiple accidents on the way home in the car. Will never return to this place.

We moved to Mississippi from out of state and were anxious about finding a place for our five year old Bull Mastiff/German Shepherd Cora. Researching began immediately and after a year I came upon Waggin Wheels. I made the decision to reach out and set up a meeting. We all as a family decided this would be a great fit for Cora! We left Cora for eight days, the owner texted me with updates and pictures which made my day knowing she was doing well and happy! Will definitely leave her in good hands with Waggin Wheels anytime we need to board Cora. Very thankful

Sarah is an incredible dog mom to your baby while you're away! I received a text with pics letting me know that my pup was doing great after her first night. Sarah worked to accommodate my pup's stay when I gave her short notice. I can't say enough about HOW amazing Waggin Wheels in Purvis, MS is!!!

Made special accommodations to make sure our senior dog was very comfortable and exercised within his limitations, gave extra workouts to our teenage lab so he slept well, cuddled our elderly weenie dog, and let our very comedic pomchi feel like he was in charge of everyone. True dog people who took time to know and love our pups. They are actually excited to be dropped off. Trust them completely!

Waggin Wheels is a great addition to our little town in MS! They are great with all animals. My mom’s pup gets sad when she has to leave. I’m sure mine will be the same when he has to stay.🥰 …

Precious Paws is the only kennel we use. We have 8 dogs and they have been kenneled here for the past 10 years. Our dogs love it and we have never had any issues. Mrs. Pam is awesome and looks out for our dogs like her own. Her daughter Jess does our grooming and also does an awesome job. We will always use Precious Paws.

I was very impressed with Precious Paws from day one when I visited to see it first hand. As someone that was once in a dog related business the first things I look for is a kennel itself and how my dogs react to those handling them. The facility is top-notch with indoor/outdoor runs and climate controlled kennels with a yard they take them out to daily. It's very clean and organized. When my dogs, especially my boxer, runs to them excited I know they are being treated right. They even play music to block out sounds that irritate dogs. It might sound funny, but I know it works. I highly recommend Precious Paws to anyone looking to board their pet for whatever reason. With this said, they are in high demand and stay booked up especially around holidays so if you plan on visiting the kennel for a look or simply plan on boarding your pet(s), you may want to make reservations well in advance. The fact that they stay booked is a testimony in itself as most are repeat customers. I am one of those customers.

Pam takes great care of our babies. The facility is always clean. We have used Precious Paws for years and have never had a bad experience. Our shih tzus are clean and happy when we pick them up.

Precious Paws Resort is the nicest kennel I have ever used and I have used many over the years of always owning a dog that I have needed to leave in great hands during travel The first time I walked in I wasn’t sure I had walked into a dog kennel because not only did it not smell bad it actually smelled Fruity clean ! I was able to leave my family member and feel great about it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ All the Way !

I am so glad we found Precious Paws! This kennel is family owned and run and the owner lives next door to the kennel. We feel so at home here that we couldn’t dream of going anywhere else. We have been using this kennel since 2009 and have had nothing but love and professionalism from this place for our animals.

Great place. Had an elderly dog that needed special care, and a 5 month old blood hound that needed a firm but loving hand. Precious Paws was more than capable. Place is clean and well managed.

We love BowWow. My high energy chocolate lab Pigpen has been a regular since 2018. Our newer addition (rescue) Handsome spends a lot of 1-on-1 time with the manager “Aunt” Heather. This place really cares about the dogs having a good time, and safety. I can’t express how much this place means to me. Thank you thank you thank you.

A top-notch facility! We have been taking our two Great Pyrenees mixes to Bow wow regularly for boarding as well as day camp for the past 8 months. They have a large staff who are cheerful, professional, and have experience with a wide range of dogs and dog behaviors. They are careful about assessing your dog to make sure it has a positive experience with the other dogs and handlers. I never ever worry about our dogs when I drop them off. They seriously cannot wait to go "play" and they always act like they've had the best time there. A bonus is that Bow wow has an affiliated veterinary clinic, Advanced Pet Care, right next door. Thanks Bow wow for being there for us and them!

Love Bow Wow Boutique. They have cameras that let you watch your dog at daycare. They run a very professional operation and are adequately staffed to ensure your dog has plenty of enrichment and fun. This is the best place to take your dog to daycare in the Hattiesburg/Petal area.

If you're looking for doggy daycare this is the place to go. They have both indoor and outdoor large play areas, dog pools and slides, and a staff that takes great care of your fur baby.

This place is the most adorable day retreat! We are kinda obsessed! All of the workers are incredibly sweet and true dog lovers. The facility is always super clean and fresh. They offer cute little extras for your pup too. I honestly feel like I am dropping my dog off at preschool! … it is so cute. They boarder as well and it is all reasonably priced! Best of all, your pup comes home pooped out from all the fun!

We love Ms Brenda and Animal House she absolutely adores and cares for your fur babies above all. Her prices are reasonable in fact probably too low for the care she gives. Animal House has been our go to for all our kennel needs.

Dropped our fur babies off for a 4 day visit with Ms.Brenda while we took a vacation. We were well pleased with the care they were given. They got plenty of running time and weren't just locked up in a small little kennel. I know she must be very patient to have put up with my 3, they can be a handful..lol Small operation but definitely the details of care were given to our 3. Also a lot better price compared to vet kennels. Thank you Ms.Brenda we will definitely be back.

We boarded our 1 yr old pit bull "Duke" with mrs Brenda for a week during family vacation. The place was very clean and spacious and very reasonably priced. She requires food, a blanket, gnaw bone, a leash and collar, and flea-free pet. We will definitely use her again in the future without hesitation.

This place had alot of great reviews so I decided to board my two pups here for the first time and I wasn't disappointed. Brenda has a lovely place for them to run and play and she genuinely cares for our fur babies.

Brenda is AWESOME my dog just loved her and she loved Brenda. Also the what she charges for boarding is far below what most other places charge. I will most definitely be boarding my dog with Brenda again soon.

I was really skeptical about letting my Chloe stay with a stranger and a different setting, but I want to inform other dog owners that your pets couldn't be in better hands. She gives each dog the attention they deserve while also providing excellent care. A definite five star rating.
