Trustable Teachers
We were delighted to find Lisa and Julie for a sort sit to care for our two Standard Poodles, Maggie and Millie. They had no problems dealing with Maggie's meds and mobility issues, kept the house spotless and sent pix of the girls to us. We were especially grateful for their flexibility when we had so move up their arrival time by more than an hour. They are are just wonderful!

Hardworking, happy couple from The White Mountains of NH.
Lynne and Shanye were phenomenal sitters! Pounces cat was so well-cared for and spoiled--I'm sure she didn't care if I ever returned home! Lynne and Shanye were very communicative, texted often, sent adorable pictures of Pounces, and were so accommodating when I extended the sit by a day. They washed sheets and towels and all was in perfect order upon my return. I would highly recommend them. I was so lucky their dates coincided with mine.

Count on Me! Reliable, tidy, professional, looking to enjoy new pets and places!
This was our second time having Samantha as a sitter, both times for several weeks. She’s absolutely excellent! Very responsible with all of the pet and home care tasks, helpful on any unexpected house-related issue, very proactive, and amazingly loving and caring for our doggo. Samantha has our trust 100% and we would have her at our home anytime. Lego already misses you, Samantha!

Responsible, young professional.
Wesley was our very first exposure to zeewoi and he certainly did not disappoint! What a great experience. We felt safe being gone for almost 20 days while our Leo was in excellent hands. Wesley was excellent at communicating, sending photos of Leo and even describing some of their activities, which made our vacation that much better. He also shared with us that he was enjoying the town and our restaurants which made us happy to know he was doing well himself. Wesley, not only kept Leo happy and well exercised (our mail man said they walked as much as he does every day!) but he also kept our plants alive and kept the house spotless. He even went as far as washing his linens and remaking his room! Definitely a star pet sitter, and I certainly hope he will consider staying with Leo again.

Mature, responsible couple ready for more housesits
Lindsey and Scott were great sitters. Took great care of my pups and took great care of my home. Communication was wonderful and timely and, I have to say, when your pet sitter is laying on the floor rubbing your pup's belly within 5 minutes of meeting, you know it's a good sign! Highly recommended!

honeybee was a great sitter for our 3 animals. She communicated very well throughout the sit. Our flight home was delayed and she was great about being able to cover the extra days. Her connection to the animals was wonderful. We were less organized than intended on her arrival due to some unexpected work issues, and she was great about rolling with the changes (e.g. the closet doors were missing as the painter hadn't finished with them). She used public transport to get to Golden and then drove our car while here. She left a few items behind, and her attention to kitchen cleanliness could be better, but we would definitely have her sit our pets again if the opportunity arises.
Abi and David were FABULOUS pet sitters during our 5-day trip. They were devoted and fun dog walkers, park-goers and ball throwers. They communicated well and sent pictures. And when we got home, the house looked great, and the dogs looked calm. We would gladly have them. Sit for us again and highly recommend them.
Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! We absolutely loved hosting Lisa and Sara and highly recommend them, they are some of the best sitters we have ever had and they're welcome back anytime!!
Alyssa was a very organized and caring pet sitter. This was our longest house sitter stay and she took excellent care of our home and two sweet and bossy Frenchies. I liked her communication to touch base the week before and how she initiated a shared photo album. We prefer not to get bombarded with daily text message photos and updates. She came up with a connected solution and touched base throughout her stay keeping us informed and sharing photos without a push. She even shared some travel gems about our destination as she is also a curious traveler and enjoys exploring outdoors. We would be happy to use her again.
Sharon was a fantastic sitter for our week away! She left the house as tidy and clean as we left it, including changing the sheets for our arrival. I truly cannot even tell she was here and that made coming home after a long travel day so much easier. She was communicative every step of the way and provided daily updates on our cat with photos. We knew our home and pet were in good hands! I would gladly welcome Sharon back any time should we be so lucky : )
Great pet care. The house was clean and tidy. The sitters had great communication. Would recommend again!
This was my first time using house sitters and Shanen and Ryan were wonderful. She sent me pictures of Calla and game me updates on Calla’s activities. She would be welcome to pet sit for me anytime!
Carolina was a fantastic Pet sitter. From the beginning, it was straightforward to communicate with her. She met us before we left our trip and ensured she understood all the house and pet logistics. Luna and Cal were very comfortable with her and were best friends with her fast. She was very affectionate with them, and Luna and Cal loved her and were very happy with her. Carolina was very responsive and sent updates. She was really lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very respectful of our space and very tidy. She even washed the sheets and towels she used even when she didn’t need to. She put a lot of care into caring for Luna and Cal, and they looked very comfortable with her. Having Carolina as a pet sitter made our trip very easy, knowing our pets were cared for so well. We would love to have her back to sit for us again and highly recommend her.
Jennifer was great and I would highly recommend her. Right from the start, Jennifer was clear and helpful in her communication, and she was very available to us throughout the stay via messaging. She sent pics of our fur babies regularly - without asking - which always makes us happy when we're away. And the biggest compliment I can give: when we came home, our pets were relaxed and happy, and no hidden cat messes to be found (we've had this happen with previous sitters a lot). I would love to have Jennifer stay at our home again in future.
Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Over their stay we got to see even more that they are wonderfully friendly, kind, and responsible - plus they kept us laughing with their updates and descriptions of our pets' antics while we were away. Our pets and plants were well loved and our house was spotless upon our return home, and they were even kind enough to leave a few goodies in the fridge. Our dog in particular seemed to miss them and their long walks around the neighborhood. Thank you Jerry and Suzanne! We wish you well in your travels!

My husband and I have been boarding our pups there since 2007. Also, they have attended doggy daycare and that has been a godsend! They both enjoy other dogs and play haerd, sleep good at night! Often, they come cleaner and better smelling than when I dropped them off!
I take my pup here weekdays while I’m at work and she loves it. She is an only pup and benefits from the time spent with playing and socializing with the other dogs. The staff is amazing and Jason, the owner, is always super nice. Fair pricing for the quality of care too. I would recommend Dog Star Canine to anyone who wants their fur babies in good hands.
Amazing place for your pup! Ours is sweet but can be anxious, and they’ve always been so great with her over the last 4 years. She loves Dog Star!!!
Dog Star is an amazing place to bring your pups, the owner jason truly has a passion for what he does and cares very much for each and every dog that enters the facility! I 10/10 recommend.
My girlfriend use to go here all time and I thought it was quite a lovely place at the time. I brought her dog in one day and there were two workers in specific I wasn’t too fond of. I introduced myself and I only caught one of there names, Brooke. The other was a thicker set female with glasses. I just felt like they were not acting professional. They were more interested in their phones and talking to one another. Not very attentive to the dogs. Very bossy towards the owner which I was astonished he allowed it. Anyways, we stopped going here shortly after this. We found a better place with better employees.
I had the pleasure of sending my dogs to dog star for about 2 years. Jason was excellent to work with and I always felt like he had the best interest of his client's pets in mind. Communication was great and the pricing was very fair. I would recommend Dog star to anyone and I look forward to using their services again if we are ever in Sunapee. Thank you, Jason and team!!
Our previous dog was very nervous and not good with other dogs so we never could do dog daycare. We just got a puppy and needed daycare. From our previous dog we were nervous about leaving the puppy somewhere but Dogstar has totally wiped away any of our fears. Our pup loves this place and will cry most of the ride home because he has so much fun. I highly recommend this place to any dog owner who needs a great doggy daycare
If anybody is looking for a good place to take their dogs to daycare, this place is the best! You can tell that the girls there love what they do and really care for the dogs. Everyone there is very professional and the dogs are always so happy. Highly recommend!
This is my second attempt to use Dog Star Canine for one of my dogs as I have lived in the area for a long time and this is convenient to me . The first lasted five minutes before he was kicked out. He was put into a large pen with at least 12 dogs and reacted negatively. I was told he would start with one or two dogs to get comfortable which did not happen. I was then told he wasn’t welcome back. Most recently, I called to inquire about bringing my small puppy for some socialization/daycare and was basically told there was no room and they had no program for dogs of his size. He did not sound interested in talking to me and could not hang the phone up fast enough; not sure how this place gets such a great reviews.
The staff is very active on Instagram for those who stress about leaving their fur babies with someone else for the day, nothing but photos of happy dogs. Our 8 month old lab LOVES it here, she practically rips my arm off once we get in the front door. I know she wouldn't be so eager to come back if the staff wasn't incredible. Our dog loves these guys and you will too!
We’re actually on our way to pick up Kitt and Grace, our two standard poodles, right now. We looked at five or six boarding places, and Mountain View is the only one where the dogs’ tails went up when we visited to check them out the first time. The place is fantastic, and we always feel good leaving Kitt and Grace there when we travel. When we pull into the driveway and they recognize where we are, they start “singing their song” because they’re excited and anxious to get inside. If I could leave six or more stars, I would.
We have an 11 year old disabled dog. She is still vibrant but needs a wheelchair for mobility and is incontinent😮. April and her staff give our dog FABULOUS care!! They go well beyond the usual kennel services. We truly believe they love our pugnacious, amusing, spinal injured dog! You can feel confident that your pet is having a great day and is in good hands.
Our dogs just had their 2nd stay here. They go in happy and come home without any depression. Everyone we have interacted with has been smiling and happy to help. Great experience for us and our well loved "dog kids".
We cannot say enough good things about the folks at Mountain View Pet Resort. We have a very anxious dog, Petiza, and initially boarded her for a short period. Since then, we have enrolled her in their doggie daycare. The experience of being with other dogs has enriched her life. Since she has started going to Mountain View her anxiety has improved immensely, she has been able to come out of her shell, play with toys, and eat bones (both of which she never used to do). Since she was so anxious to begin with, leaving her anywhere was extremely stressful. The experience of watching her shake in fear when we first dropped her off was heartbreaking. The staff at Mountain View genuinely care about her and understand dogs well. Now, we get to watch her excitedly tail wag as she says hi to the staff and runs back to see her friends. We were even able to adopt a brother for Petiza who also is now going to Mountain View. Beyond benefiting Petiza, we get to feel secure that our dogs are happy and loved even when we are not with them. I think for dog owners, especially if your dog is anxious, there is no higher praise than this.
Though Mountain View Pet Resort has a new owner, the quality of care remains at the same high standard. April and her staff make their charges’ safety, comfort and socialization a priority. Our dog Boo has learned good doggie social behavior during his visits. We highly recommend Mountain View.
This kennel is a gift to us. Our Emma considers it her second home. She goes twice a week for daycare and starts letting us know how happy she is about a mile from our house, and when you consider that we live 35 miles from Mountain View it’s quite noisy when we arrive! She bounds out of the car, happy to be in her second home. The staff is extraordinary. The pups are their family, and Mary the owner, is like family to us Good, good people!
Mountain View has really saved us. We have a reactive dog and he LOVES the huge yards and wonderful people there. We went on a tour about a year ago and did the trial run of a two hour "test stay" and he came back a very happy camper. Since then, Bodhi has stayed there for numerous trips or overnight visits & always comes back happy and exhausted from all the fun we know he's been having. It's clear April cares about each dogs personality - I love hearing her stories of what shenanigans our independent (some could say stubborn) Bodhi has done once we pick him up. Lastly, I can't say how much we appreciate all the hoops they must jump through to keep him separated from other dogs. Thank you to the whole team!
I highly recommend Mountain View Pet Resort. April and her staff are completely devoted to the well-being and care of the dogs in their charge and April is friendly and professional. I love the fact that the dogs spend a lot of time outside playing. Thanks for being there, David Parker & Midnight
I went there with my pup. The workers said there is a 1year / 2years waiting list but I could apply any way. I was so sad but so sad, specially because my pup seems to love the place and the workers. They all seem nice. So I'm giving 4 stars because of the way I was received, not because of the service. Still, I had all good vibes from them.
My husband and I are full time RVers with a 5 month old golden retriever. While staying at the KOA Rv park we drove our girl to Mary’s pet resort called Mountain View pet resort. They far exceeded our expectations! Very LOVING and Attentive. Our Gracie DEMANDS attention and they affectionately have it to her. Our experience was just the great for all of us. We were sad to leave. Oh and btw you should see the well designed pool they have. Our little pup had her first swim and thanks to Grace she had a fun experience. Now paddling. I don’t normally leave a long review but felt I needed to let other parents who of course are protective of their pups be assured safe and loving care is the gold standard here. Your pup will have the best time. Thank you Mary, Grace and the other team for taking such wonderful care of our Gracie. It allowed our pup to continue valuable socialization skills with the other very nice dogs who attended the day care also! Mark, Deborah & Gracie Frieze ❤️
Fur babies quickly become the center of your world, so when you want to go away, you undoubtedly want to take them with you. Unfortunately not everyone is as accepting of fur babies and you must leave them behind. Boarding is an option, but I would wonder if it stresses them out leaving them in an unfamiliar place and left wondering if Mommy and Daddy are coming back. With Jen, you get the best of both worlds. She comes and meets your babies prior to your time away, establishing a relationship with them to ensure it is a good fit for all of you. The minute you meet Jen you notice she is truly a pet whisperer. My Ben and Jerry just love her and the fact that they can stay and be in their own home is so reassuring. She will come to your home as agreed upon and always spends a good amount of time caring and playing with them. She will also make your home lived in by picking up mail, turning on lights, etc., an added benefit. And as an added bonus, she will send you updates daily to show they are happily being tended to while you are away! Please enjoy "Pictures by Pawtastic"!
It is so great to have a dog walker option in the Claremont area! Jenna is our primary, and she is very reliable and caring for my senior dog, Ellie. The owner, Jenn, is always on top of the communication very to easy to work with when it comes to schedule changes and “extras.” I use the PAW-tastic Nanny for regular mid-day visits and for evening/morning visits when I’m away. At almost 13 years old and with a heart condition and specific preferences when it comes to dog friends (!), it’s great to not have to worry about boarding my dog! I also appreciate the app, as it’s one I’ve used previously when I lived outside of Boston. Thanks, Jenna and Jenn!
PAW-tastic Nanny provides outstanding service. I used Jenn and Jenna for my dog walking needs when I had to be away longer than usual from my puppy. They arrived on time, took Tinker for a walk, gave him belly rubs and treats before leaving. I always got an update on their visits and that put my mind at ease. I always knew Tinker was in good hands! They were professional and so kind and caring.
I can’t recommend Jenn enough! I live alone with two Great Danes, plus infant puppies for a few months per year, & the occasional visit from one or more of my sisters’ dogs. I also work nights & weekends, which has made finding a reliable dog sitter incredibly difficult. Jenn & I connected at exactly the right time, & because we did I was able to return to work much more quickly (following my recent litter) than I had expected! She has a real gift with animals & immediately charmed my furry family, even my boy, Bo, who can be very selective about trusting strangers. Jenn is highly communicative, very respectful of my space, completely trustworthy with my animals, & an overall lovely person to interact with. I highly recommend her services for anyone looking for a great local pet sitter!
I can’t say enough positive things about Jenn & Jenna. They were both professional, had excellent communication with updates following each visit that included photographs and a description of each pet. PAW-tactic Nanny uses an online platform that includes detailed questionnaires on each pet, gathering information related to behavioral habits, diet, etc. Most of all - they took wonderful care of our four Boston Terrier babies. Many thanks!
I am so grateful for Jenn’s help with my pups! First of all, they LOVE her and welcome her visits. She is kind, thoughtful and SO responsible and I'm always delighted to get text updates and (great) photos of my happy dogs when she has been there- which sets my mind at ease! I trust her completely and appreciate that she will go the extra mile!
We highly recommend the PAW-tastic Nanny!!! Jenn has helped us out and given us the ability to leave home without our pups. We have 2 Cane Corso’s and boarding is not an option for us. We needed someone we can trust to handle the extra special/demanding personalities of our Corso’s. Jenn started by helping us out with some mid day walks to get acquainted with our pups and give us confidence that all would be fine we then moved onto an overnight trip, the first time we had left together without the dogs in over 3 years. We have complete confidence in the PAW-tastic Nanny and we recently left the pups with Jenn while we took a 2 week road trip across the country. Jenn updated us regularly with pictures, videos and allowed us to not worry while we were away. Amazing service and communication=trust!!
Jenn did overnight visits and walks for us over a three day period so that we could attend our son’s wedding out of state. Our Stella is a senior dog who suffers from severe separation anxiety. The few times that we’ve had to leave her at a boarder in the past have always been heartbreaking for us. We know she’s miserable the whole time she’s there. Having Jenn come stay at our house so that Stella could stay home where she’s happy meant everything to us. We were able to fully enjoy our son’s wedding. We didn’t worry for a second that Stella was unhappy. Jenn sent us updates and photos throughout the visit. The attached photo shows Stella enjoying a bully stick while we were away. A seemingly innocent picture, but anyone who knows Stella knows that she wouldn’t touch a toy or treat if she was stressed or unhappy. Thank you, Jenn! What you provided for us was far more than pet sitting. It was the peace of mind to be able to enjoy our son’s wedding. That’s priceless.
Jen is wonderful! She is reliable and responsible. After meeting her I knew my dogs would be in good hands and that she would treat my dogs as if they were her own. I would recommend Jen to any dog owner. Jen is a sweetheart and absolutely loves her job. My girls get so excited when she comes to the house. I tell my girls in the mornings that Ms Jen will be coming, and their heads perk up. Haha
Jenn is professional and cordial. My pet was well cared for and I received regular updates and photos while away from home. Initial consultation fully covered locations of pet supplies and utilities, feeding and care schedules, and emergency scenarios.
Birch Hill Pet Resort truly goes above and beyond, not only offering fantastic daycare services but also providing exceptional boarding options. Whether for a day or an extended stay, their boarding facilities are second to none, offering a comfortable and secure environment for pets to relax and enjoy themselves. The staff continues to impress with their dedication to ensuring each pet's individual needs are met, providing personalized attention and care throughout their stay. With Birch Hill Pet Resort, I can confidently leave my dog knowing they are in the best hands possible. A five-star boarding experience all around!"
They take such good care of our boy Gus. He has been boarded there a few times and goes 2-3 times a week for daycare. The owners know the dogs and do a great job of keeping them active and monitoring them to be sure they are with the right play group.
They are amazing, my very high energy, very needy and particular rescue pup Harper has been going here since we got her 3 years ago, she looks forward to daycare and is treated like the princess she is at Birch Hill! She is typically people reactive and has done amazing here with the staff, they go above and beyond for her!
Birch Hill is awesome! I have 2 dobermans and have boarded them there multiple times and never have to worry! They are super accommodating and very reasonable with their pricing. My girls always come home happy and i’m always satisfied with their wonderful customer service. Thank you Birch Hill for being great!
Birch hill is great! I didn’t worry once about my boy knowing he was in the best hands. They went above and beyond to help him through his first time being away from us. Thanks for being a safe place to stay when our dogs can’t come with us!
Fist time we used this facility, I have know the owner for a few years so when my wife and I had the opportunity for a vacation we knew where we could trust to leave our Lab/Shep mix for a week. We let Mike know that Lacey had some dog anxiety and he gave me plenty of updates, especially satisfying was that our dog was able to make friends. She had a great time for 7 days, she was obviously tired of all her play time. Won't hesitate to use Birch Hill again!
It’s hard to drop off your old guy that’s never been to a overnight kennel stay in his entire 9 years!! Birch Hill Resort has exceeded our expectations and how happy my guy was and so energetic when I picked him up showed that they did such an amazing job caring for him! They’re reliable, professional and very caring.
Our German Shepherd puppy, Arya, has been going to Birch Hill Kennels for daycare for a little over a month. They take such good care of her. We were worried she’d not enjoy it since she loves to bark at other dogs and people, but we have noticed such an improvement with her. She is excited when we arrive to get out and see them and is always exhausted from the fun she has there when we pick her up. The owners are so nice and really do care about the dogs in their care. I would recommend them to anyone.
Wow! Just wow! We Have an 11 week puppy and had a date night planned for overnight. Birch hill took her (on barely any notice, when I was sure I’d have to cancel our hotel). The kennels were clean, the owners and staff We’re friendly and professional, and my pup loved it! She’s curled up on her doggie bed all tuckered out from her stay. Can’t wait til she’s old enough to get her shots so she’s able to do doggie day care!! Thank you Birch Hill!
1st time boarding my 1st puppy. Lots of nerves, he did fantastic though. Quick responses when checking in as well. Highly recommend!
Molly has watched our two cats on a few occasions, and my wife and I have nothing but positive things to say about Molly and her care! She was super thorough in understanding our pets’ routines and needs, and Molly went above and beyond in making sure our cats were well cared for and we were kept up to date while we were away. Our two cats can be a bit challenging (one is not the nicest to new people and the other can have stress-related litter box issues), and Molly was super understanding and took steps to minimize our cats’ stress while we were away. As a bonus, she also takes great pictures (see the associated photos for examples). If you’re in the Upper Valley, do not hesitate to contact her for your pet care needs!
I have a 14 year old senior dog and dog that is unpredictable around strangers. This can make traveling away from home anxiety inducing knowing someone else will need to care from them. Having Molly stay with them in my home has decreased my fears immensely. She is trustworthy, responsive, thoughtful and cares for my dogs as if they were her own. She sends regular detailed communication with picture updates and I can fully relax while away. Beau, Niko, and I would recommend Molly over and over again to anyone with pet sitting needs.
As our summer travel calendar fills, I am reminded — once again — of how grateful I am to have found Molly O'. Leaving behind a beloved, senior cat is hard, but Bella has developed such an affection for Molly that she's completely happy and very comfortable. Molly is lovely, very experienced with animals. She's super responsible and watches out for the house to make certain all is in order. I couldn't imagine leaving Bella with anyone else. We adore her and you & your dear pet will too. Marlene + Bella
I wish it was possible to give Molly 10 stars! I can't say enough good things about her both as a person and her care for our 2 dogs, Zeus and Bentley. She has done both overnight stays and let-out visits for us for several years, and I tell everyone she is the best dog sitter, hands down! She is reliable, organized, trustworthy and truly cares for our pets the way we would! Molly is great about communicating both before we leave and while we are gone, and even sends pics(like the one below). She goes above and beyond for us and our dogs and I'm so grateful she chooses to do this as her business.
Molly has been loving on my dogs for YEARS. Super trustworthy and great communication. My dogs are obsessed 🥰 …
Filling out this review is bittersweet, as I had to say goodbye to my longtime companion recently. I found Molly when I moved to the UV just 2 years ago, and my sweet, grumpy, senior poodle Nigel, fell in love with her. Jokingly calling her his girlfriend, I never, ever, had to worry when we went away, as Molly kept me updated, and maintained excellent lines of communication. She treated him like her own, and I know she truly loved him. Nigel was never that excited when we returned, and quite honestly, I’m pretty sure he was wondering where Molly went to. She made herself available, was reliable, and trustworthy. If a concern ever arose, she immediately contacted me. Late in my dog’s life, I trusted few people with him, and Molly was one of them. Finally, every photo or video that Molly sent, made it evident that he was happy and content. If the day comes, when I welcome another 4 legged family member into my home, and I’m still living in the UV, Molly will be one of the first people that I call. I wish her all the very best in her business, as she certainly deserves it. 🐩💕
Molly is amazing! Really have a million good things to say about her but here are a few! Our two cats and dog love her. I feel at ease knowing she’s taking care of them and I know she really does care about them. Their never stressed when we get home. She provides lots of photos and updates while we’re way so I know they are all good! She follows our schedule so everyone stays on track (important when you have a cat on meds 2x a day)!
Molly has taken care of my pack (2 dogs and a cat) on a number of occasions and is always excellent. Molly is thoughtful, polite, professional, and friendly. She leaves the house better than she finds it and cares for my pets as if they were her own! I wholeheartedly recommend Molly!
Molly is simply incredible!! Molly took care of my two cats for a week when I was out of town & it couldn't have been a better experience for me, or for the cats! It was a tremendous relief knowing they were in the best hands. Molly sent updates and pictures on the cat happenings each day, and was super responsive. She is the best. My cats and I can't wait to connect with her again soon!
Molly’s Pet Care is an excellent option for anyone needing help with caring for their pets. Molly is easy to work with, flexible and dependable. She spent the last 7 months walking my cattle dog mix twice a week and took the most adorable photos of my dog. She always let me know how the walk went and any concerns she might have had so I knew my dog was in great hands. She even made sure the water bowl was full before she left! Highly recommended!!!
We moved over a holiday week and desperately needed someone to board our dogs. Everyone was full and we couldn't find anyone willing to take them. A Precious Pet Resort went out of their way to be able to take care of us. They were a life saver and took great care of our pets as well.
The whole crew here are awesome. We have a super shy German shepherd that we rescued from southern Texas. When we pull into the driveway, she gets so excited. We feel at complete ease when Ara is in the hands of these wonderful ladies. Highly recommend.
Our furbaby, has been going to A Precious Pet Resort (APPR) since he was 9 1/2 weeks old. Our pup is a cautious boy and was unsure of the staff at first, but we introduced him to Mary and her team a few times prior to dropping him off for 5-days a week doggie daycare. Our pup is now 5 1/2 years old and LOVES going to APPR. Although we now live 30 minutes away, we still take him to APPR whenever we need someone to care for him if we are going to be away for a few hours or a week. We attempted a different place when I changed jobs a few years ago to save on my commute for daycare drop off, but our pup did not adjust to this new place well. He was scared and did not respond well to the pet caregivers. The new place operated under a "dog park" mentality and all the dogs were grouped together during the day, but we learned our pup was telling them and us he didn't like that style. The new place had all the bells and whistles of fancy live feed cameras, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, but our dog didn't care about that and didn't care to remain at the new place. Our dog responds very well to positive reinforcement, how he is being treated and how he is being taken care of and our pup is happiest when in small groups or 1:1 playtime. APPR offers this type of service for him. APPR is a family-owned business so they do not have all the bells and whistles like some other surrounding or larger places within a 20-30 mile radius, but they care for, individualized care, and are attentive to the pets they service. When our pup is boarded, we provide plenty of treats, food and toppers along with his blanket and dog bed to provide a more 'comfort of home' feel for him. We know how much he eats, but any extra dog food is given back to us. APPR honors our feeding plan and gives the measurements, food, toppers and treats that we request. We have a wonderful relationship and 2-way communication with APPR. If we request grooming and/or bathing as a part of his stay, we ask for this at a minimal extra charge. Our pup has experienced both daily daycare and boarding services and he and we are happy with their service. When my husband and I travel, we know that our pup is in good hands with Mary and her team. Thank you all for taking such good care of our furbaby. My husband and I do and continue to recommend A Precious Pet Resort for daycare or boarding. A picture of his first day at APPR and a daycare pick up day, that “after Daycare glow!”
Absolutely amazing group of individuals watching over our dog. Our pup is a bit skittish and absolutely loves her time at precious pets! I wouldn’t think of bringing her anywhere else! Thank you ladies for all the hard work that you do.
We desperately needed a few hours of doggy daycare and this place was so very easy going. Dealt with 3 different people between calling/ drop off and pick up. Everyone was very courteous and easy going. They were able to accept short notice and super reasonable price. Above all dog seemed super happy and entertained upon pickup. If you are skiing at Pats peak this is the best place for your family dog.
Mary and her amazing staff took a great care of my dog, Nova! I could tell from Jade's eyes how much she truly loves my dog (she would even try to get Nova drink more throughout the day). I have recommended them to many of our friends...and we will return as soon as there is more snow in NH for skiing :) Excellent location to leave your dog when skiing in Sunapee, Pats Peak or even Okemo. They are caring and knowledgeable.
Precious Pet is the best boarding hotel! Our dog Chloe goes here and she loves the owners and workers! Mary and Jess go out of their way to welcome our dog and our dog is always happy and well cared for when we pick her up. They have cat condos and we were in a bind and needed to board our cat and they came to the rescue. We can’t thank them enough! Wonderful place with radiant heated floors and real doors on the kennel spaces.
Precious pet is a great place, our 6 month old German shorthair loves it there. We started bringing her as a small puppy and from the get go they have taken great care of her. We bring her 2-3 days a week for day care and now she has a group of friends she plays with. What a huge help they are for our busy schedule. Make no mistake we love our dog and trust them entirely with her. A much better alternative to leaving her at home in a crate all day! Thank you for all you do for us!
Each time that I must leave my beloved dogs, I am very thankful for A Precious Pet Resort and the consistent competent care they provide. At the mention of "going to visit Mary & Jess", the dogs are on alert and enter their home-away-from-home with wagging tails and shining eyes. I drive away with confidence and peace of mind knowing that my elderly Siberian Husky and adolescent Collie are in safe and reliable hands. Thank you to all the staff!
We happened to be so lucky in finding APPR. Our current daycare had to close, and we decided to try APPR. Boy, are we glad we did!! The girls treat Diesel like he is one of their own. It is obvious they love what they do. Diesel can't wait to go to daycare! All I need to say is do you want to go see Jess and he runs to the door and waits patiently to be able to get in the car and go. The ride all the way to daycare he talks till he gets there. We also recently used them for boarding, and I couldn't have been happier. I was concerned because he has boarded at other places and lost weight and been a little stressed and had an injury to his nose due to rubbing on the chain link. When I picked him up he looked just as we left him. He lost 3 pounds but not due to not eating but I believe it was due to playing with his friends every day for a week. :) This place is not your typical kennel. The floors are heated and the animals aren't in a cage! They treat Diesel like he is their own and I couldn't ask for anything more. I love having the security of being able to drop my 40legged family member off and know he will be ok. Thank you ladies for treating Diesel as one of your own. Keep up the good work!! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for daycare or boarding.
If you love your dog, don't board them here! My dog who has been boarded elsewhere with no problems, came back from a 3 day stay at this facility traumatized and sick. I was not notified during her stay that there were any problems and didn't find out until I called because she had bloody liquid "stool" shooting out of her 15 minutes after I picked her up. I got a call back and was told that she shredded a blanket and they "think" they found it all. Leaving room for doubt that she may have eaten some. I was also told that the next time she stays there (that will not be happening) she could be in the isolation room. Had I been notified there were any issues and given that option, I would have taken it. Very irresponsible that they allow a boarder to reach this state of anxiety and not bother to call the owner or the emergency contact to try to figure out what can be done to alleviate the stress. Most irresponsible of all was not informing me of the possibility that she ate some of the shredded blanket until I called to find out what went on while she was boarded. I waited a bit as they suggested to give her time to recoup but after 24 hours of being home she was not better. She was lethargic, not drinking, and still had bloody, very soft stool. So after her 3 day stay at this facility which obviously I paid them to "care" for her, I spent another $420 at the vet for an exam, an anti nausea injection, and prescriptions for a probiotic and prebiotic mixture and sedatives to keep her calm while she healed. The stress of boarding is understandable, but allowing a dog to reach and remain in that state of anxiety and stress with no effort to contact the owner or the emergency contact to inform them of the situation and of the possibility that some shredded blanket was ingested is reprehensible. Had I been notified that she was struggling, I would have had my emergency contact pick her up if the facility was unable to take proper care of her. Saving this poor dog pain, stress and anxiety she didn't deserve and saving me $420 I could ill afford after paying the facility I had placed my trust in to care for my dog. My dog of course can't speak to me, but her behavior did and she was clearly in a very anxious and distressed state, and is still on the mend. I can't say it loudly enough, if you love your dog, do NOT board them at this facility.
The Dog House has not only some adorable regulars but also has genuinely caring staff. We take pride in how we treat and care for your animals. Let these happy faces speak for themselves! Don’t be shy and come on by to see what The Dog House has to offer 🐶❤️ …
I thought the vet clinic did a wonderful job of assessing my older cat. Even though they appear slightly understaffed (as does everywhere these days), they were courteous and helpful. I have patience and appreciate courteous service so I was pleased with my cat's care.
Every interaction I've had with the owner or the girls who work the desk and take care of dogs have been fantastic. they know my dog on site when he comes in and always happy to see him and tell us how he did and he always seems to come home happy and very tired. They are also aware of needs the dogs may have like being an escape artist or jumps a lot, etc. My only concern is that in the year-and-a-half that we've been going there the prices have gone up multiple times, but the quality of service to this point has made it worthwhile, at least when buying a bulk pack. If I did not work so close I might consider other options but the availability and hours and friendliness of everyone there are certainly positive points.
We’ve boarded our dog there three times now and each time they’ve been wonderful. Our dog has some issues with anxiety when he is away from us and they are super sweet and make him (and us) feel better about being separated!
One of the few animal boarding places in the upper valley. Always caring, my pupper loves it here when we are away or if he needs to visit for the daycare
I have called at least 4 times different days and times of the day. I always was greeted by a voicemail. I left a voicemail one of these times with my contact information in order to schedule a grooming appointment but have never been contacted. At this point I am not sure if they are still in business or not. I can only give a star so far given their lack of communication.
Our two dogs love going to the Dog House for daycare! They take a bounding leap out of the car when we get there and their tails don’t stop wagging. They get tons of exercise and it’s very conveniently located.
This place has potential but it seems like they’re just getting started. it’s a good size facility. Both times I went there was nobody at the front desk and as far as communication they have some issues. Even after I found the bell and rang it, it took quite a while for the one person working there to show up. It seems dreadfully understaffed. There were some dogs playing but I didn’t see anybody watching them. Perhaps they’re just figuring things out. Maybe they’ll get better, but I won’t be returning.
Would give 0 stars if I could. Had my dog boarded over the weekend and picked her up covered in dried urine and poop, looks like they paid 0 attention to her all weekend even after paying extra for individual walk time and playgroup! Absolutely awful, will never send my dog there again!
My dog went to doggie daycare here almost everyday of the week for a year. I loved how flexible Shawn, the owner, was. The playground is huge and he has a giant barn for when it’s raining, my dog was always super eager to go there in the morning and always slept the entire way home. I always felt very safe when dropping her off that nothing would happen, he feeds the dogs, and updates you when picking your dog up on how the day went! Highly recommend bringing your dog, they’re definitely in good care and will come home happy. Couldn’t have picked a better daycare for my favorite girl ❤️
We were worried we would not find a place to board our reactive 3 year old rescue Jindo dog Aja so we could attend a family wedding in the area. Sean made it easy and it was great to work with! We visited DHDD about a month in advance to meet the team and view the facilities as we live a few hours away. The play yard was clean and well kept. The sleeping area was also immaculate and welcoming for the pups. Aja immediately took to Sean on the first meeting and played well with his other pups. This was a sign that she was comfortable so we were too. The drop off was easy and stress free. There is a Hannaford nearby which allowed us to get her fresh dog food locally. We picked her up a few days later and she was sad to go! A great experience and we whole heartedly recommend Sean and DHDD!
My dog is older and has separation issues and DownHome Doggie Daycamp is a dream come true. Shawn, the owner, obviously loves and understands a dog's emotional needs. It’s a relief to know that my “best friend” is in a safe and comfortable home environment. Even if I lived in Massachusetts or Vermont or Maine, I would still travel to Hill, NH to board my dog at DownHome Doggie Daycamp. Thank you Shawn!
I take my dog, Alex, to DownHome Doggies all the time. He spends the day there a few times a week and I board him there when I have to travel for business. The staff is very courteous, flexible and accommodating. Alex is much more social now and gets along great with other dogs as a result of spending time there. I'm very glad I found DownHome Doggies!
Three words to describe this place: 1. A 2. Maze 3. Ing!!!!! They gave out dog so much love and attention, it was amazing...were using them again this weekend, and thinking of bringing out dog there for"play dates"...tons of room and big hearts in owners
Great place for your dog. A fun, safe environment the staff takes care of the animals as if they were their own. Highly recommended.
The owner really cares about the dogs and did a wonderful job welcoming my puppy.
Great place..my dog loves coming. Shawn is wonderful!!
Indoor tiny pup housin offered for toy breeds.
Great guy nice to talk to you
I’ve been with HB family for over 4 years. They are the most loving caring group. I have a 16 year old Jack Russel terrier mix. I can honestly say it’s because he gets his daily walks, excercise, plays and cuddles with HB is why he’s so spry and happy! For me going to work and knowing my fur baby is cared for so well is the best piece of mind!
Homeward Bound has made it possible for my wife and I to have a dog again. Our schedules are crazy. Having someone we trust to be in our home and walk Mochi has taken a huge amount of stress away from us. They have been helping us with her since she was 10 weeks old. Having Homeward Bound in Mochi's life has been like having our own personal dog trainers. We recommend anyone to hire them for any doggie needs!!!!
A Wedding service MUST! One of our dogs was included in our big day in Meredith NH. A very good friend referred Alix to us. What a referral! Alix and her team are so attentive. We spoke on the phone to go over all wedding ceremony details, even Met with our dog prior to the event so he would know who Alix was. She even asked if there were specific colors she should wear on our special day. She stayed for the ceremony and photos so our pal was occupied and we didn’t have to worry about him. The team also came later in the day to feed him dinner and take him for a walk. We would use Alix and team again and would give ten stars if that was an option. She even made sure our dog was the first we saw after being married and snapped this photo which by far is one of my favorites.
I can't express enough how thrilled I am with the exceptional service provided by Homeward Bound Professional Animal Care, LLC, led by the incredible Alix and her fantastic team! From the moment we had our initial consultation, all my interactions with this team have been professional, warmth, and genuine care. Alix and her team truly go above and beyond to ensure the well-being of our two golden doodles, Luna and Whiskey. The daily logs they provide, complete with updates and delightful photos, have become a fun glimpse into our pups' day. These logs showcase the love and attention given to Whiskey and Luna and demonstrate the team's commitment to transparency and communication. The team at Homeward Bound embodies qualities that every pet owner dreams of in a pet care service - they are thorough, kind, and incredibly communicative. Whiskey and Luna enjoy their walks with the team, and their enthusiasm t is a testament to the beautiful experiences provided by Homeward Bound. I am genuinely grateful to have found a reliable and caring business for our dog-walking needs. Alix and her team are fantastic. If you're searching for a dog walking service that combines professionalism with a genuine love for animals, look no further! I wholeheartedly recommend Homeward Bound.
We love having Alix and her team take care of our kitties while we are gone. They understand the different personalities of our cats and know how to connect with them and keep things feeling normal. Our anxious kitty does much better when we hire Homeward Bound to come for visits over our vacations. The Homeward Bound team genuinely loves and understands kitties and it makes a world of difference for the experience of our pets!
I have a new puppy that needs a lot more attention then I can give him as I work long hours. The staff come and walk/run him and give him extra love and attention mid-day. It has helped calm him, helped build trust with new people and over-all make him a better behaved dog! I love that I've started this service!!! Alix and Lee give great feedback and I know he's in good hands! Thank you so much for taking great care of him! Luv the pics and daily feedback!!!
Hi Alix, Deb and I would like to thank you again for the wonderful care our 4 dogs received while on their doggy vacation. Your daily pictures and updates reinforced our decision that you and Hoeward bound was the right place for our dogs. The dogs loved the fenced in backyard and playing in the snow. Continued success! 🤡
Alix provides the absolute best pet care our pets have ever had. Her qualifications are above and bend "outstanding"! I can't imagine leaving home without having her onboard. She goes the extra mile to make sure we have a worry-free vacation, including bringing in the mail, taking out the trash, watering plants, taking a pet to the vet for an emergency visit, administering medications, and anything else within reasonable limits. We recently left our two cats in Alix's care while we went on a 2 week vacation. Two days before we left home, one of our cats was diagnosed with a probable brain tumor. I asked Alix to come twice a day instead of just once, left instructions for administering medicines, and entrusted her with the additional burden. She texted me updates about the cat's condition so I wouldn't be worried. In addition to taking our cat to our vet, who practices 20 miles away, she got two prescriptions filled and administered the required medications daily. I am so grateful for Alix and her compassionate, professional care for our animals!
Happy dog = happy dog owner! Homeward Bound's dog walking service has been perfect for my 21 month old British Creme Retriever. "Murphy" gets plenty of exercise and lot's of TLC. I am very pleased with the individualized service, attention to details and daily feedback (with pictures!) that follows each walk. I highly recommend this service to anyone searching for assistance with their dogs.
Homeward bound was a life saver when I got a new job and couldn't get home by a reasonable time to let the pups out. The dogs absolutely loved seeing them every day and I loved peace of mind knowing my kids were well taken care of. Thanks for everything Homeward Bound!
Woodlawn is an amazing family owned business that treated our dog like he was their own. He was happy to go to daycare and we knew he was always well cared for for over night visits. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I could not recommend them enough
My dog loves Woodlawn Pet Resort and can't wait to get there in the morning. He thinks he's the king of doggy daycare, as he's been going there for 7 years now and thinks he runs the show. I drive up to the door, and he runs in at breakneck speed, barking the whole way. He loves it!
My 7 month old female mix breed started daycare a few weeks ago and after the third day she couldn’t wait to get back. I love that Woodlawn Kennel posts photos so I can see how fun the dogs are having and how my dog interacts with the others. There’s also a wonderful store with high-quality pet supplies and treats. Very easy to park and bring your dog inside. I’m looking forward to boarding my dog when I’m away. Using the daycare so that she’s used to it before boarding is such a great option.
I have been taking my dog to Woodlawn daily for over a month now while I recover from surgery, and I have noticed a huge change in his temperament! He is calmer, sleeps and eats better, and overall seems like a happier and more social boy. Andrea and her team at Woodlawn know exactly how to strike that balance between just enough exercise and too much. As well, their hours are extremely convenient, and the setting itself is peaceful and beautiful. I had originally intended this as a short-term solution during my recovery, but will now continue, as I've seen this huge pay-off in his wellbeing. Also, I used the boarding option once he was used to daycare, and it was absolutely seamless. And it was wonderful to see photos of him on Instagram, to know he was doing well with his pack!
We’ve been using Woodlawn for many years. They have always taken good care of our dogs. Our current dog is almost 14 and started going to doggy day care here as a puppy. He still loves to go and gets very excited when he arrives.
I adopted an older dog about 2 years ago but he does have a lot of energy and he really enjoys a few days per month a day care. I have also boarded him at Woodlawn and never have to worry because he receives excellent care.
My dog looks forward to going to daycare and even boarding at Woodlawn. The staff is always extremely helpful. I had never boarded my dog before so when I called for information they took the time to explain even thing to me as well as answer all of my questions and even make recommendations when I am stuck between choosing services. They staff is always friendly, you can tell they really care about the work they do. We’ve done daycare, boarding, and grooming with them. I’d recommend all services they are a 10/10
My collie always looks amazing when I pick him up! Highly recommended!
We had to find somewhere last minute (and for the first time) because the people that were going to take care of our 9 month old puppy bailed on us. I would consider this place to be average, not a dump, but no real wow factors. I gave them a less than average review however because our puppy who is up-to-date on shots still managed to contract kennel cough in the three days he was there.
Our puppies are always well taken care of while boarding. They also get groomed right before pick up so that they are clean and fresh to take home.
Brought my young Aussi pup there for his first grooming. I explained that I wanted him to be given a bath, cut and brush out. I particularly asked them to trim the long hair around his feet and toes. When I picked him up, he really didn't look much different than when I had dropped him off. The foot trimming didn't happen because they said that he was nervous and wouldn't let them touch his feet. I brought him there because they're supposed to be the "professionals" and figured they had dealt with a puppy's first groom before. After still being charged full price for the "grooming", I left quite disappointed. I brought him home and after two minutes of gently introducing him to the vibration of a trimmer, he was calm and very cooperative. I ended up easily trimming his feet myself. I won't be bringing him back there.
After reading reviews, I was hopeful that I had found a great spot to groom my puppy. We will never be returning. Upon arrival, a woman came out, asked who we were, said “oh I see,” and went to grab his leash and whoosh him into the back. I stopped and told her it was his first time for a full groom and stressed that all I wanted was for it to be a positive experience and that if it stopped being so, to call at any point and I would come pick him up (and would of course pay for the full groom). She handed me an info card and told me to fill it out and leave it on the counter. Did not even ask what I wanted done in terms of grooming. My puppy is extremely confident and has done well experiencing all sorts of new things. When I picked him up he crawled over to me, peed all over himself, and was not his happy confident self. I was told how nervous he was and that he was freaking out about the grooming rope around his neck. He has been nervous of new people since being there (which has never been a trait of his). I have worked in a grooming and boarding facility, and this is not one I would recommend based on our experience.
Do not ever bring your dog here!! We have a new puppy, 6 months old and brought him for just a bath and trim hair ONLY on the privates. The girl, McKenzi , went on about how she loved his coat, and I told her over and over again not to cut. My wife had been grooming him but recently broke her wrist so we needed help. He was brushed out daily so there was no matting at all. He is a beautiful Cavapoo and looks (looked) like a Teddy Bear. The only thing I asked was “to just cut a little around his eyes so he can see, just a couple hairs”. She shaved his nose down to the skin! He looks ridiculous!!!! I’ve NEVER seen this ever. It is barely starting to grow out and it’s been 2 months!
I've been going to Kim since she first opened. She has been great with any size dog I have brought in to be groomed. Fabulous facility, too.
They took great care of our five month old puppy when we had to go away for the night. Super nice ladies working there! Maple seemed to enjoy herself and seemed to get plenty of attention. Very fair price for the boarding and we will definitely be bringing her back.
Great staff, and handled our large german shepherd very well. Our big boy is scared to get his nails clipped, and they did a good job in less than 15 minutes. Will definitely have them do his nails for now on. Good prices, staff, and quality care.
Great place to board your dog! They gave my golden One on one attention and I could tell the person really cared. She even sent me pics of my dog which I really appreciated! The kennels were also clean and the place is not extremely large so it’s not as intimidating.
Kim & her staff were just awesome w/our 8 yo lab! They were friendly, informative and even gave me a heads up re: the busy summer schedule. I was able to pre-book our pup’s next appt. We’re looking forward to going back!
I absolutely love Kim. She was great when I left my 2 big dogs since one has never left my side for 7 years and the Shepard/hound is 5 1/2 m old is a big baby. It was hard for me so she said they will be taken care of which they were greatly. Kim told me straight up how they were when I called everyday sometimes twice a day. Lol thank you doggie designs.. oh n they will be coming back for any of my needs..
Our dogs always come back perfect! Couldn't recommend Doggie Designs more. She is extremely professional yet personal with each dog. We had an extremely difficult dog with anxiety and she still took him and did a fabolous job in making sure he was comfortable during his grooming experience!
