Pet Sitting in Wixon Valley

I discovered Kennels of Choco Ranch a few months ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the care they’ve provided for my dogs, Bailey and Willow. The spacious kennels with attached runs give my pups the freedom to enjoy safe outdoor time. They also get daily walks and plenty of human interaction, which I truly appreciate. The convenience of weekend drop-off and pick-up is a lifesaver when traveling. Best of all, Bailey and Willow always come home happy and content!

I was looking for the perfect place for my Princess Leia to stay while we went on a family cruise. I visited several kennels but never felt the warmth I was looking for until I found The Kennels at Choco Ranch. My Leia is a rescue and had been abandoned several times before we found her and I didn’t want her to think we were abandoning her to. Mary and Robert were so welcoming and loving and Leia went right to them with no hesitation. The facility is amazing with plenty of room for our girl to run and explore in the country as she is used to. We will definitely use them again. I give them a 10/10 and highly recommend them for anyone who loves their sweet fur baby like family.

Lovely place to keep our pets. They send lots of photos and even walked our girls around the property.

I had my first lesson with Rick today and it was AMAZING! He has such a calming energy that also builds confidence, and he explained everything so well. I’m looking forward to implementing these practices at home and future lessons. Go see Rick!!! He’s awesome.

Rick is one of the most amazing people I've ever met! He's so calm and grounded and he's TRUELY a dog lover. Positive energy just radiates from him and all the dogs he trains. Highly recommended for training and boarding! When boarding, Rick and his staff are in constant contact with you and your dog. It really puts you at ease and you know that your dog is safe and being well taken care of when you're away! He's done wonders with our dog, Maizy. He taught her to be confident in herself, around other people, and around other dogs. Training skills that my wife and I definitely do not have. We continue classes for Maizy with Rick and look forward to boarding Maizy again with him in the future.

Rick and his team do a great job all around. I opted to do the two week board and train program for my pup, Ginger. It's hard leaving your fur baby somewhere for that long, but Rick is a really nice guy and someone you can trust to treat your dog like family. When I first got to Rick's place I think we spent an hour going over Ginger, the problems we were having at home - and how best to address those. When I left, I felt completely comfortable knowing Ginger would be in good hands. I got a handful of updates while Ginger was in training and Rick was very responsive any time I had questions. I am writing this review about a week after picking up Ginger from the program. I can tell she learned a lot, and really enjoyed her lessons. Before bringing her to Rick, Ginger was a 'super' jumper, and would just about tackle anyone who walked in the door. After going through the program I now have the tools to manage Ginger jumping all over my guests (among several other things). I can tell she is much more calm and controlled after going through training. In addition, Rick did some great work with the 'Stay' command which is a huge safety benefit for Ginger. She is one to bolt out of doors given any opportunity so that is something I can really appreciate. I think it is also worth noting that Rick is very affordable compared to similar services elsewhere. I was able to work with the board and train program on my grad student budget. For the price, you really can't find a better service. And, the two-week program includes a private lesson for some follow up training to help solidify the commands. I can't thank Rick and his team enough for their help. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to go with K9 Sensei, so I hope you found this one helpful. I would encourage you to give them a call to learn more about the awesome services they offer.

Great atmosphere for dog training. Rick and Zack are very respectful and give honest feedback to help us humans understand our dogs and how to handle them in specific situations. My husband and I are empowered and grateful to have all the tools they gave us. Highly recommend k9 sensei if you’re having any issues!

We have been going to K9 Sensei for a few weeks now and cannot express enough how wonderful this place is. Besides being extremely affordable, Rick and his wife are kind, accommodating, as well as helpful in every sense of the word. We have seen massive improvements in our German Shepard Teddy and are pleased and excited for our appointments with K9 Sensei. Teddy loves going to class and is excited when returning home to perform new tasks learned. This is a superior, top quality business that I would recommend anyone who needs assistance with their dog go to. Every class is beneficial filled with constructive and valuable teachings for not only your pet but for you as a pet owner as well. I found k9 sensei online when searching for potty training help. The gentleman I spoke to was a stand up person. Not only that, I quickly could tell he was an EXCELLENT trainer. He took a lot of time to talk to me and helped me with advice over the phone without me even being a client. You can tell it’s not just a job, but a vocation. He saved me some money but If I ever need further training services this is where I will go. Can’t recommend enough. Mochi is a 1 year old Maltese weighing a whopping 4lbs and she’s the sweetest thing who just needed a little help with potty training! Thanks again!

Rick is super sweet and a great person overall! Our pup did the board & training with him and stayed with Rick for 2 weeks. We got pictures and videos of our pup the entire stay! After his training our pup has improved so much in foundational training and we look forward to working with him again soon!

Rick was so helpful and never passed judgement on me as a dog owner! I walked away from my session feeling confident about the commands to use with my almost 3 year old pup! Rick really made sure that I understood and showed me techniques and encouraged me as I attempted after watching his example. Loved my experience!

Priority number one is your dog. Amy, Rick and Zach are great dealing with humans too! This is the only boarding facility I have ever felt like they loved my dogs more than I love them which is A LOT!!!
