Pet Sitting in Wood County

Yameka did a fantastic job taking care of our home and pets. I really appreciated her great communication and I truly felt our pets were in good hands the whole time we were away :)

This particular sit was cancelled, due to my change in travel plans. However, Michael and his wife were wonderful sitters previously and I definitely recommend them.

Sarah was awesome!!! She came over to meet us and our cat before we left. She took good care of our cat and house for the two months we were gone and updated us frequently, which we really appreciated. She also restocked some food and litter before we got home so we didn't have to worry about it. We got home at 230am and the house was all nice and clean and we climbed into our own bed with nice, clean sheets...ahhhh!! Thank you Sarah for going above and beyond and taking care of Squeaky when we couldn't make it home and were a couple of days late. I would definitely recommend Sarah and would use her again in an instant.

We loved having Jerry and Doris back for a second stay! They continue to give Bailey all the love and attention while we are away and it was obvious on our return that he was very well cared for while we were gone. Bailey is very comfortable with them so much so he was on Doris’s lap even after we returned. Our house was spotless and they are good communicators. We hope to have Jerry and Doris return again!

Wow! We are so glad Bill is a zeewoi. He did an amazing job of caring for our 3 cats. Thor required extensive care during the period Bill sat for us and and Bill was up for the challenge. Bill was very organized and communicated regularly with us which was a challenge because of our remote location outside of the US. Thor took quite a liking to Bill which reduced our stress level and allowed us to enjoy our trip that much more. Bill made sure to take good care of our home too and everything was in order upon our return. We highly recommend Bill and would love to have him sit again for us in the future.

Jeanne and Matt are the perfect pet and Housesitter's. They were amazing communicators and sent sweet pictures of our happy pups. They enlist trust and confidence and we felt great about leaving our house and dogs with them for an extended period of time. We came home to an immaculate house, pool and yard that was clearly well cared for. Our dogs were happy to see us but have spent the last couple of days looking for their new pals. Matt and Jeanne were great to work with prior to departure, and were flexible about departure and arrival which was critical for an our long distance road trip where we had unpredictable cell service. We will add Jeanne and Matt as another amazing example of the wonderful people you can meet through zeewoi's and would be honored to have them accept another sit.

They were amazing. They arrived the night before the sit started so they had a chance to meet with Daisy. They were also able to stay an extra day due to my mistake and my scheduling. Daisy appears to have been very happy while they were here and I was gone. I would have them anytime to sit for me!

Faith was excellent and very conscientious. She took wonderful care of our pets, sent pictures and shared updates, and even put up with some unexpected contractor work that was being done on our house with no complaint. She was exceptionally clean and left our home in excellent condition.

Lindsey and Josh were initially responsive and communicative, making scheduling and initial video calls easy and efficient. We had two video calls; the first was with Lindsey and Josh and the second only with Lindsey. The second call included a detailed virtual tour of our home and pets, during which I gave explicit instructions on pet care. We also provided pre-recorded instructional videos for their reference. Upon our return, our home was in good condition, and our cats seemed happy and well cared for, which we truly appreciate. However, toward the end of the sit, there was an unfortunate issue with the care of our reptiles. Josh unplugged the heat lamp for one of our reptiles, believing it had shorted out and was a fire hazard, and placed it outside overnight without informing us. This was concerning because we had previously explained in the video call that the lamp, though hot (because it is a heat lamp), was functioning normally and posed no hazard. Additionally, he unplugged the extension cord providing power to our other tank leaving both our reptiles without heat for over 20 hours. While we understand the safety concern, we would have preferred immediate communication when they believed there was an issue. It was only after we noticed the lamp outside through our external security camera (which they were informed of in our listing and on the initial call) while checking if our trash had been picked up by the city after seeing our trash service was 2 days late in our community’s Facebook page and inquired that they then informed us about the situation. Fortunately, our pets were unharmed, and we confirmed that all equipment was in proper working order upon our return. Overall, while there was a miscommunication regarding the heat sources, Lindsey and Josh ensured our other pets were well looked after. Our only suggestion to them would be to ensure clear, prompt communication in case any issues arise.

We couldn't have asked for better housesitters. Frank and Genny are kind, thoughtful, and down-to-earth, with a genuine care and interest in your home, pets, and locale. They were comfortable tackling new things, from shuffling our ducks to-and-fro to mucking out the guinea pigs, and we knew right away they would handle anything thrown at them (i.e. the occasional duck mutiny). We appreciated the brief updates and photos that let us know everything was good (particularly the bigfoot-esque sighting of the one skittish cat—not something easily come by). We returned to a clean home, happy pets, thriving houseplants, and helpful notes to let us know things like we were running low on litter. If we had to find something bad to say, our dog misses them!
