25 Year Dog Mom, now without my own fur children
Beth was absolutely amazing - from the moment she arrived I knew Gus would be in good hands. Beth offered to arrive a night early in order that she and Gus could get to know each other and he would be comfortable with her once we left. Gus was immediately at ease around Beth and we didn’t worry at all during our trip. Beth even made Gus’s meals extra special with a heart shaped ham garnish (his favorite!) on his food ❤️ The house was spotless when we arrived home - she had washed all of the sheets and towels and re-made the bed for us. Best of all, she left us a little piece of “artwork” that Gus made as a memento - we have it on display in our living room. Thank you Beth!!!

honeybee was a great sitter for our 3 animals. She communicated very well throughout the sit. Our flight home was delayed and she was great about being able to cover the extra days. Her connection to the animals was wonderful. We were less organized than intended on her arrival due to some unexpected work issues, and she was great about rolling with the changes (e.g. the closet doors were missing as the painter hadn't finished with them). She used public transport to get to Golden and then drove our car while here. She left a few items behind, and her attention to kitchen cleanliness could be better, but we would definitely have her sit our pets again if the opportunity arises.

Caitlyn, KJ, and their pup Sully were excellent house guests and pet sitters, and we would highly recommend them! I was able to meet Caitlyn and KJ prior to them house sitting for us, and we are always super appreciative when sitters are able to make that work and are willing to take time out of their schedule to come over and get the lay of the land. Their dog Sully was full of good boy energy and was a great playmate for our two Golden Retrievers. During the stay, Caitlyn & KJ sent us photos every day and followed all of our instructions for pet care to a T. They were super self-sufficient and gracious guests that left our place looking just like it did when we left, and we were very at peace knowing that our dogs were in great hands, getting lots of exercise, and romping around with new friend Sully. Our dog Skyler was there almost two weeks and he got a little "homesick". Ruthann took very good care of him, keeping us updated as well on how he was doing. We really appreciated the photos and texts so we knew he was back to his normal self!
If your're looking for a great place to "board" your dog, Home Fur Now is it! Ruthann took excellent care of our two dogs while we were on vacation. She was in constant contact giving updates and sending pictures on how they were doing. They go on daily walks, get a ton of love/ attention and get to socialize with other dogs. We will be booking more stays in the future and highly recommend Home Fur Now!
We "boarded" our dog at Home Fur Now this past weekend. Although I wouldn't call it boarding. It is more like we dropped our dog off at a home away from home, and if he could speak English he would tell you that he had the best time of his life. It was like a vacation for him. Ruthanna provided him with the personal attention that he needed and a band of dogs to keep him entertained. She was very professional and caring when it came to our dog's happiness and comfort. With her background at local vets, I knew I was leaving my dog in good hands. Her prices are more than reasonable, seeing as how she offers play time, walks, and personal attention at no additional expense. Not to mention my dog wasn't stuck in a kennel all day, with a concrete run to use for potty. When I arrived to pick him up, he was outside playing with the other dogs! The only down side is that she can only take on so many dogs, so if you are planning on boarding with Home Fur Now - reserve early!

Wow! The lady that runs this is extremely rude. We’ve never boarded our dogs before so we’re understandably nervous to do so. I called this morning and spoke with a guy, who was friendly and answered my questions. My husband happened to be off work today so he took a ride to the kennel to check it out. As soon as he parked, the lady came out yelling at him about parking on the grass - maybe put a sign there then? She was rude the entire tour and the kennels weren’t all that great. I hate to leave bad reviews, but when someone is entrusting you to care for their pets, you should have some courtesy and compassion. I’m glad we checked it out before blindly agreeing to board our dogs here. I hope this was a one time thing and the dogs they care for are treated right. Definitely do your research before entrusting your pets to just anyone!
Owners are very caring of each pet boarded. If you're missing your fur baby while boarded, they have a way you can ask for pictures & they will post them. My girl loves to visit & although she's happy to see me when i pick her up, she doesn't pull me out the door when she's leashed like she can't wait to get out of there! 🙂 …
They took great care of our two labs while we were on vacation. This will be our third year coming using them. They are nice clean and organized. They even took a picture of our pets and sent it to us when requested!
Attempted to board my dog today, had us come get him after 10 minutes because he apparently got out of his kennel and was harassing other dogs by barking? Not sure why the kennel was not secured enough to keep a dog inside but whatever. The woman who called me said my dog attacked another dog which WASN'T TRUE! They were given 2 weeks notice about what kind of dog I had, his temperament and size. If a dog barking bothers you, DONT OWN A KENNEL. Boarded him with a nicer kennel and haven't had any issues, I will never recommend this place to ANYONE.
The owners are wonderful & truly love the animals (not just dogs). They give them wonderful care. My little Frenchie loves to go there. Certainly lessens my guilt in not being able to take her with me.

I was hoping to give them a great review because they seemed like nice people. Turns out this is just a second job to them and no one is watching the kennel and dogs during most of the day. If your flight is changed and you’re running even a half hour early and try to pick your dog up before the 5:00 “pick up time” or if you hit traffic and are running 15 minutes late, they will give you issues or hold your dog hostage. Very disappointed.
Took our dogs here for the first time at the beginning of April. Beautiful facilities , spacious kennels, and the family that runs it took OUTSTANDING care of our fur babies. I couldn't have found better if I tried. Thank you guys so much for everything you did for Diesel and Dixie!

Love, Love, Love this kennel! I will never take my dogs anywhere else. They treat them like family. I was very nervous the first time I left my 2 dogs because they needed fed separately and they were the only kennel that would do that. When my one dog passed and I was leaving my rescue dog alone for the first time they made sure he got special attention. Now he gets out of the car on his own and walks right into his pen. He loves his vacations there and comes home a very tired dog. They will also share photos of your dog or cat with you daily if you ask.
Ridiculous 3 day policy. Wont take animals for 2 days. I understand not wanting to be a day care, but seriously? Not 2 days has to be 3? Absolutely ridiculous.

Instead of just immediately letting them tranquilize Max, I asked the kennel why is the dog barking nonstop??? Yes, I was that dog owner 😅 we loved our dog … So fast forward to when we met Drew and Michelle, the current owners of Pet State U. I remember Drew sharing dogs bark nonstop in a traditional kennel style because they are lonely and often times isolated… Dogs are pack animals and they need community. Max wasn’t getting it in traditional kennel establishments. Not a good environment for him to thrive🥲 We had the privilege to live next-door to the Director of SeaWorld, who utilized SeaWorlds animal trainers to train their son and daughters brand new dog🐕… and the rest is history … This is how we met Drew and Michelle. Yes, they are truly animal trainers, who also now own their own boarding business! We shared an amazing relationship when our dogs needed to be boarded. (Yes dogs, because Max got a sister over the years … Madeline!) And when they were being boarded when we went out of town, they weren’t barking the whole time. Instead of barking, they were leaping into the pickup van to go and stay with Drew and Michelle. These trainers treated our pets with so much respect, dignity and kindness… and they will do the same for your animals as well. We love Pet State University! We found them over 10 years ago when we were looking for boarding for our mastiffs. We wanted a positive experience for our dogs while we were on vacation. We found it in Pet state U! A home environment and loving attention. Our dogs get lots human interaction and play with other dog borders. No doggy prison (cement and chain link kennels). Drew and Michele are genuinely good people who are accommodating to special requests and send us lots of photos so we can see our fur babies while we are away! We love pet State University and our dogs do too!
These guys do it all! They train, board, provide daycare and they love your pet(s) like their own. They bring experiences and expertise that you won’t find in other facilities. As a fellow small local business we are grateful for the care Pet State provides for our mascot Bernadoodle Pepper 🐶 Her pawrents love knowing she is in great care when they are out of town. I loved it my cat loved it this was a few years ago and I want to use them again but today December 26th their phone seems to be disconnected. I am not happy.
Great place to board your cat. No dogs, so no barking and stress. Each cat has their own "room" with a window, window sill, climbing post, chair and cradle. The cats are invited out one at a time into the office space to play and / or be combed.
Very impressed with setup, care, cleanliness and price. My bonded pair were together and enjoyed their tree, window and the nice couple who took care of them. I am so happy to have found in my opinion a 5-star A-1 cat boarding kennels. Only place I will be going to in the future.
I am so happy and relieved we found this place for our two cats for a week of our vacation. They came home happy and themselves so i know they were taken care of well. One of our cats was recently diagnosed with diabetes so we were struggling to find someone that would be able to give him insulin 2x a day while we were gone, our vet recommended this place and it surpassed our expectations. The owner here is very knowledgeable of cats and I felt safe leaving them in his hands. They have been in business over 21 years and are well educated on cats behavior, we even learned more about our cats just bringing them here! We are over the world grateful that our cats were well taken care of on our trip.
We left our cat with Cat's Cradle for 8 days. He was very well-taken care of. I'm not entirely sure he was happy about having to come home! The price was extremely reasonable. I liked that each cat in their care has an individual room with litter box, cat tower, and a spot to curl up and snooze. Facilities are very clean. Highly recommended.
We took our cat, Shadow, to spend 10 days at Cats Cradle. It was our first vacation without him, so we were worried about how he would do. When we picked him up to come home, Shadow was very relaxed. He had his own room, with a window, and had positive interactions with the owner. We were very pleased with his care, and would definitely take him there in the future.
I was out of town for 10 days and this place was great. They have actual little rooms rather than crates and it is for cats only. They took excellent care of my Leo.
Great place for cats!!! Our cats get their own room together and all of their rooms have a cat tree and window. When I came to pick them up, both were on the cat tree window hunting.

Tailwaggers was amazing! I was gone for a week and they checked on my cat everyday for me. Each day they left a note of what they did with him and texted me daily photos and videos. The communication was also superior. I would highly recommend using their services and I will definitely be using them in the future.
Shelley has been my go-to cat caretaker for my two adult male cats for several years. I just got back from a three day stay at my daughters. Both cats were fed, litter scooped, and well petted…even Subby who often hides from newcomers. Also I got on-the-scene photos of them. Highly recommend Shelley!
I highly recommend Shelly and Tailwaggers. Shelly took care of my kitty and my chickens while I was away on a family vacation. She met with me beforehand to go over everything that needed to be done. She texted me every day that I was away to let me know everything was going well and even sent me pictures. It was so nice to have that peace of mind that everyone was in good hands in my absence.
I trust Shelley and her team with my dogs and cat. They take great care of the pets and leave detailed notes about everything. I appreciate the peace of mind they bring when I am away.

My two little mini Dauchsands had to be boarded somewhere when we went on vacation for the week of August 12th. I was heartsick, how could I leave my babies??? I stopped in at four different boarding kennels for a tour before Come & Stay & Play and almost canceled our vacation. When I walked in the door, I was greeted warmly, the place had a great feel and I was gladly given a tour. It was clean, the dogs were all happy and they had inside and outside access. It was perfect! I knew I found a temporary home for my girls. I was able to call as much as I wanted to check on them and get updates on their day. When I picked up, they brought them out and they were clean, happy and you could tell, well cared for. Our next vacation I will be able to go away with no anxiety or worry. I found my home away from home for my girls! ❤️❤️❤️
Had Charlie in for grooming. Cage always does an excellent job and knows just how we like him trimmed. Highly recommend CS&P. Have known Bill, Darlene, and Julia for many years. Good people.

They go the extra mile for your baby! The place is also SO clean and there are so many different add ons that really make the stay one in a million. I could not be happier and at ease when I board my baby!
My mastiff is fear aggressive and no kennel was willing or had the capability to take him. They had no issue whatsoever and encouraged me to come tour the facility. Their setup is such that they don't ever have to try to handle or interact directly with him. I feel very comfortable when I leave him there that he will be safe and taken care of.
It was so sad today.....the story is we brought our senior cat (17+) to this place for nail trimming several times in the past because their groomers/staff are so nice so far. On July 20 morning we called for an appointment, but the staff told us to call at noon because their trimming staff won't be there until noon. OK, we called at noon, then was told he was overbooked that no room for us. We have to call on Sunday, July 23 at 9:15am because he will be off on Friday and Saturday. The other groomer is also off until next week. OK, we called this morning July 23 at 9:15am. However, we were told our senior cat is too aggressive and they won't accept any appointment and further the staff advised us to take our girl to veterinarian! Yep, that is the end with this place no matter how best services have ever been provided. My senior girl once bit her dad in this place while he held her for nail trimming in February, never bit others. As such, we ever asked the groomer put a face cover on our girl during last nail trimming in May and trimming went through well. My senior girl never bit anyone as well. Thus, we don't know what the "aggressive" meaning? However, we do thank you very much for the services this place ever offered.
Very nice place to have your pet groomed . They are very kind and loving to pets. Facility is clean and tidy and smells fresh. The groomer loves the dogs and it shows in his work. I would recommend.
We had to have my dog Puddles stay for 2 nights!!! It was her first time overnight!! All I can say is the team is amazing!!! I called and they didn’t hesitate to give me an update!!! The place is spotless and the staff is very friendly!!! Highly recommend!!!! ♥️♥️
Very pleased with Come Stay and Play! We boarded our pit mixes (9 years old and 1 years old) for the first time ever this past weekend. The staff was highly professional and friendly. Overall, we felt very comfortable leaving our dogs in their care. Prior to boarding, we stopped in randomly to see the kennels and they didn't hesitate to show us around, including the play yard. Kennels were super clean, and each one had a door so the dogs can lay out under their own fenced-in patio (staff open and close it so they can't be out when it's really hot, cold, night, etc). They offer fun extras for the dogs like ice cream sundaes, hikes, etc. We had a groomer trim one of the dog's nails and they did a great job! Again, we're very pleased with Come Stay and Play and how they treated our dogs. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a clean, reliable, and reputable place to board their dogs!

They took great care of my 2 dogs! This is the first time I’ve boarded them anywhere, so I was a little nervous, but it ended up being a great experience. They also posted pictures/videos of the dogs each day which was wonderful.
Our vizsla has worked with Brett and his staff at Hidden Hills on several occasions. We took our dog there for recall training. After a short amount of time, her recall was spot on. We won’t ever have to worry about her running away as she listens to our commands. We are so pleased with the work they do with our young pup! We also love taking our dog there to use their boarding services. They have the cleanest kennels around and their staff give our dog the love and attention she deserves. Definitely money well spent all around!
Excellent care for your fur babies!! Staff goes above & beyond. We boarded our recuse dog for the first time, we were nervous. We visited our first grandchild in California. This facility goes above and beyond and listens to your concerns. Daily pics on Facebook was a bonus. Thank you, Kathy &Scott
I could cry knowing how loved and cared for my dogs were while we were on vacation. My big guy is handicapped and they were SO accommodating and supportive. They also took their time and knew how to get our other dog to warm up to them, she was getting zoomies by the end of the week!! We won't take them anywhere else! THANK YOU EVERYONE at hidden hills!!!
Love them so much! They are wonderful to our dogs and great to work with when we go out of town. I love that they post pics of our boys while we're away so we can see what they're up to.

I cannot recommend Jean enough! My dog gets so excited to go to their house every time we go. She is so responsive and it feels so good to not worry when I have to leave my dog with someone else.
We have been taking our dog Louie to Pet Joy for over 4 years for all of our vacations. Jean is the best! She is professional, loving, prompt in responding and Louie loves going there. She boards the dogs in a dedicated area out of her home so there is always someone around. The dog’s space feels like home. There is a huge fenced in outdoor area where Louie can come and go as he pleases. There are always other dogs for him to run around with and tire him out! Jean will also send pictures and updates if we check in on Louie while we are away. (Jean even provided a dog coat for Louie on one of his visits because it was cold out!) I highly recommend Pet Joy for boarding.
We have been taking our dogs to Jean for about 8 years. I am so thankful that we found her to take care of our beloved pets! She and her husband are amazing! They are very responsive, caring, and always make sure that they’re doing their best to take great care of our pets. I would not let our dogs stay anywhere else!
We have been sending our pup to Jean with Pet Joy Pet Sitters for several years whenever we travel. My pup is so excited when we arrive she can’t wait to see Jean. She is barking and wagging her tail and running to the door! And, when I pick my fluff ball up, she is happy and well taken care of. Our pup gets to socialize with other dogs her size, spend time outside and is in a home-like environment. Jean meets the needs of our pup, is prompt with communication, reliable, flexible and so kind. Pet Joy Pet Sitters was recommended to me by another dog-mom and now I recommend her all the time to my friends with Dogs.

We've taken our two mini-labradoodles to Pet Joy a few times in the last year while we were on week-long vacations. I love that Jean has a large fenced small- dog area so my pups play with dogs their own size with so many toys in the yard. Jean is so easy to work with and takes the best care of our "babies". She sends us pictures and always responds quickly with any questions we have. I will use Pet Joy & Jean again whenever we need our dogs boarded.

My dogs have been boarded and had daycare at Pet Joy for almost 6 years and I could not be more pleased. The dogs love it there. The large fenced yard is great for my dog who would spend all day running if he could. The smaller area was perfect when he was a puppy. Jean and Russ know all the visiting dogs' personalities and are great about ensuring like-temperament dogs play together. I never have a problem with my dogs getting their routine meds on time. The boys love it at Pet Joy and I'm so comfortable knowing they have attentive, loving caregivers in Jean and Russ. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
My husband and I are grateful to have found Jean at Pet Joy. Our blue heeler, Duke, always gets happy when we tell him we are going to Jean's house. She is so good with him. We trust her completely with our boy.
Cannot reccomend Pet Joy enough!!! We have boarded our dogs with Jean for years and always have had nothing but fantastic experiences. Her rates are more than reasonable. Your dogs will be treated great and you can rest assured knowing they are safe and having fun. We also use her for doggie day care. We have a high energy breed and he loves being able to go there and run around all day. Again, great rates and experiences. Pet Joy should get nothing but 5 stars. Ignore the one star reviews that aren't even meant for them. Highly recommend Pet Joy!!!!
