She was thorough in making sure she knew exactly what each pet needed, had excellent communication, and provided me with daily updates. Sharon was a fantastic sitter for our week away! She left the house as tidy and clean as we left it, including changing the sheets for our arrival. Kyle was a great house sitter and pet sitter for us. We had a good dialogue prior to him sitting for us, and we also did a short walkthrough the week before. Kyle formed a great bond with our dog Charlie and also took good care of our rabbit Poppy. A couple of minor issues came up with systems in our home due to an unexpected power outage, and Kyle was quick to connect with us and then was able to work 1:1 with the service providers to resolve the issues. We look forward to working with Kyle again.

Andrea was the perfect sitter for our older Italian Greyhound and our shy cat. She followed every request to a “t”, and helped us to feel comfortable and care free for a long zeewoi. The communication of photos and videos were a warm reminder of how well they had been adjusting to our absence. Andrea showed care and consistent compassion for Darcy and Hammy. She seemed to enjoy them and our home as much as us! We returned to an absolutely spotless home, without anything left undone. She thought of everything related to us and our pets, so we could have a seamless late evening return. We highly recommend Andrea for any zeewoi, as she is a jewel. 5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Laura is hands down the best sitter that we have ever had care for our pets and house! Having her stay made our trip away so care free and added a super fun layer of getting her daily (morning and night!) updates with photos and videos, some were hilarious I love Laura’s sense of humor! We were gone 8 days and when’s we arrived home our house was cleaner than when we left, mail on the counter, yard was picked up, it was beyond what we would expect. This made our first day back so easy. Oh’ and our pets were so relaxed and happy we knew they were loved and taken care of while we were away. Laura knew that we were coming home late and she even had bought a yummy quiche, rolls, fruit and juice so that we had breakfast in the morning! Laura is responsive, a great communicator, I could go on but simply put she is welcome at our house anytime. Simply the best!! Thank you tons Laura!!

We had to leave in a rush for a family emergency and really didn't have time to prepare the house as we usually do, but Judith took all in stride, leaving the apartment spotless. Tom was the PERFECT pet and house sitter. I went out of town for a while after my dad passed, and I had a few pet sitters bail before he came in for the rescue. He cleaned up the messes and I came home to a clean house and VERY happy babies! My two dogs LOVED him. He is extremely reliable, clean, trustworthy and was incredibly caring to my dogs. Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Disappointed with their policy and staff knowledge especially since they came so highly recommended by her dog friends parents at the Scappoose dog park. Called yesterday to set up a dog consultation and stated her breed and that she is friends with several dogs at the dog park and received an appointment for today. Received a call today stating that they couldn't take her and all of a sudden they have a breed restriction against pit bulls and pit mixes for insurance liability reasons. I'm astonished than any dog operation would show such prejudice towards a specific breed or mix of a breed. Attached are pictures of my ferocious pitbull.
I really enjoy taking my dog here for daycare services. I haven’t tried the sleepovers, however, my dog loves going here for daycare. He gets his energy out and has a lot of fun and joy playing with his dog buddies. Staff is very friendly and they love what they do. A little pricey, but definitely still a reasonable price for the amount of exercise and happiness they give the dogs. Plenty of room for them to run around and go wild to their hearts extent here at their business.
Great facility. The staff is fantastic and knowledgeable. I brought my puppy in for some socialization and play time. I was not disappointed! He had a great time and crashed out as soon as he got home. This is a great way to get some of that puppy energy out. Plus, there is some honey for sale in the lobby strait from the owners hives, right there on the property. I have been eating honey on toast or oatmeal every morning since🍯🤤❤️
This has been a favorite place for my little German Shepherd girl to stay while the human parents are out of town. All of the staff have been very kind and feel at ease knowing they care about the fuzzy creatures in their care. Nice to see pictures of the dogs at play and enjoy the additional socialization my girl gets. Have not had any issues and appreciate this comforting boarding/daycare in Columbia County.
We love having our Sheppard here! They always update us when we call in. They post picture's of our boy so we can see him having a good time ❤
My fur baby loves it here, he is always so excited to arrive. He only goes for day care we haven't used the boarding services. They are quick for the exchange and drop off in the morning, mindful of busy people that need to get to work. But they are always willing to take time to answer any questions to make sure you feel as comfortable as your pup.
The owner and staff treat my pup like he is their own. He is always happy to be dropped off, that says a lot :)

We chose Roxy’s for our 12 year old Alaskan Malamute during our 2 week honeymoon. He’s an old man and we were nervous to leave him so long, but he was in great hands and we’re so thankful to have found Roxy’s! He needs some extra care in his old age and they handled him wonderfully. We came home to a happy dog! Again, we’re so thankful! Would 100% recommend!!

We LOVE Roxy’s! Our golden Kaia has a blast and she has been going since she was 4 months old. We know she is well taken care and loved - that puts our mind at ease while at work or on longer trips (we use Roxy’s for daycare and boarding).
I do not recommend. ***update*** The owner just replied - when I picked up they said she “attempted” to jump over the fence towards the forest ravine and they were just worried for her safety. There was nothing stated to me about attacking another dog. My dog is not aggressive. She’s a one and a half year-old chocolate lab. Unfortunately, I just wasn’t willing to pay your $1800 dog training. You were willing to take her if I was going to pay you. How fast the tune has changed!
As a helicopter dog mom, I feel at ease leaving our two St Bernard's here for an extended stay or short trip. They come home happy and tired from all the romping around the fields. I do recommend the affordable pre-pickup bath especially when it's wetter out which it is PNW so that's a greater part of the year. This is our go-to for dog care and we'd give the team >5 stars if we could!
Roxy’s is the perfect place for our dog when we go away. He’s highly energetic, intelligent, and incredibly spoiled, but Roxy’s is his home away from home. I love the peace of mind I get during my trips when I know that my very pampered pooch is having all his needs met at Roxy’s. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Today I called about boarding my 15 year old Husky that has survived 2 strokes. I have rehabilitated her from both. The woman was told this. She went off about how they had to have my dog for a day to check her interactions with all the staff and all the other dogs! Having worked professionally with dogs, there is a standard for dogs to be safe. But just like people not every animal is compatible with every person or other animal. Not every person is compatible with every person. Same is true for dogs & dog/ person relationships. Well intentioned policy gone very wrong!
Juno spent 2 weeks here when we couldn't take her on vacation with us. She was well taken care of. Was washed and looking good when we picked her up. I would recommend.

We've been taking my Golden here since he was a puppy for trips to the amusement or water park and other vacations. He's just happier here with a huge common area and fenced in area to run and socialize with other dogs. They keep extra eyes on behaviors just in case but I've never had an issue. They send pictures while he stays of him playing. It is out in the country a bit but super easy to get to off I-5 and I feel safer and more comfortable knowing he's not locked in a cage all day. Worth the drive and they are very reasonable prices

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I have a 5 year old Samoyed and know how difficult her coat can be. We have been to at least half a dozen groomers in her life, and never found somewhere as great as Columbia Canine Cottage. I was referred by a friend of mine and got in touch with Keely who is absolutely amazing. She makes myself and my dog feel so comfortable at drop off. She is so sweet and loving to my dog, which is super important to me because my dog has separation anxiety. Keely will text me pictures of my dog during or after the groom to show me how things went. When I pick my dog up, she does not show any signs of stress, only excitement upon seeing me. Keely also makes time to sit and talk with me after the groom to let me know how things go. She does not ever make me feel rushed or unheard and instead reassures all my worries. She also has my groom completed in around 2 hours which is mind blowing because other places will have my dog for 4-5 hours. She does an amazing job with the wash, blow dry and brush, and trims up the paws and sanitary area. I am thankful that she does not trim parts of my dog that she shouldn't (as other groomers have done before). I have started to use them for more than just grooming, because I know my dog is comfortable there. I have started leaving her for the day, or "doggy day care", to let her get more comfortable with the other dogs and being there for longer periods of time. I feel very comfortable leaving her for longer periods of time and will be taking advantage of their boarding program for my next trip. Again, so thankful to have found this place! Thanks for always taking such great care of my baby girl<3

I was having surgery in Seattle and left two of my dogs at CCC. They seemed very happy and very well taken care of. I was a little nervous leaving them since we’ve never been apart, but I was sent photos on a daily basis. They seemed to be in good spirits when I picked them up. I’ll use them again :) Thanks CCC!

This is our choice every time we need boarding services, and for years our dogs have had exceptional care. They come home excited and happy, and Kurt has made sure to promptly answer any questions we have had. His employees are kind, caring and our dogs love each one. This is where to go for any boarding needs!
Best dog boarding facility I've ever seen. Lots of places like to lie about how much time the dogs spend in cages. This place has staff 24/7, and the dogs are only caged up when someone arrives for drop-off or pickup. They just run as a pack all day, and sleep on couches and beds with a person at night. They have a van to pick up dogs for day care to run around with the pack, only costs like $2 an hour. They also have grooming, my standard poodle loves it there and the groom is the cheapest I've found.
Can't say enough great things about Columbia Canine Cottage. They do a great job with our pup, Cheddar, who seems to do well in their care. They send us regular updates and unlike so many boarding places they aren't spending most of their days cooped up, but being loved and cared for by the staff.

I'm 72, and I can't give my pup more than two walks per day, so the dog ranch a couple of days per week is a perfect addition to keep my pup exercised. Plus he loves going!
PDR is awesome!!! Tons of fun for my boy and he’s always coming home happy and tired. He’s been a regular for years and always is stoked about playing at the ranch

Boarded our 2.5 year old black lab here for 10 days. We were a little nervous that her first time there was 10 days. When we picked her up, she was excited to see us but as soon as she got in the car she was antsy staring back at the front gate wanting to go back already! Prices are reasonable, especially with the accommodations provided! I can’t think of another place your dog will get more freedom or socialization the PDR. We plan to use PDR any time we need dog boarding in the future!

Dipstick absolutely loves this place! It is the perfect place to socialize, and "run with the pack". Brian is a wonderful guy, and his prices are comparable to the so-called "doggy daycares" that are in small old business buildings. I recommend this place all day every day!

Our kids go every Monday, rain or shine! The almighty Bark Bus rolls up like the circus rolling into a small midwestern town, we open the front door and Cooper and Biscuit are out the door, down the driveway and into the days adventure like kids to an ice cream truck. They come home so happy and then they collapse and don’t move for the rest of the day! Mission accomplished! We’ve been sending them to Brian for years and it’s an essential part of our dog family life! And did I mention he does boarding at a very reasonable rate. He’s a dog saint.
Our dog loves it at Paradise Dog Ranch. He gets to spend his days running around with his K-9 buddies and goes crazy as soon as he realizes he is headed there. Brian does a great job with the dogs and will always be our first choice.

I'd never boarded my dogs before. I always had house sitters. I tried Susie's and I was pleased. My dogs seemed happy when I picked them up and didn't smell. When I took them back the second time they seemed happy to be there, so obviously no hard feelings from before. The folks were easy to work with and the check in, check out process was smooth. Nice job folks!
I was helping friends while they were on vacation in Greece. I had to pick up and drop off Barnum, their dog, several times. The staff that work here are so wonderful. You can tell right away how much they love all the pets. I would definitely recommend Susie's and if I had a pet I would not take it anywhere else. You guys are the best.
If I were a dog, I would want my owner to board me at Susie's. Joking aside, I've used Susie's to look after my 3 dogs many times over the last couple of years and have had a consistently excellent experience. I have no doubt how much the people who work there love animals, it shows, and it gives me total peace of mind leaving my boys with them. Additionally, they are wonderful people, kind and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough.
This is the only boarding facility where I wasn’t worried about the well-being of my 3 pups while I was away. Adorable and thought setup. Friendly owner. Extra clean facility. Fair prices. The only kennel we’ll use in Vancouver. Make sure you book early- they are popular and space is hard to come by!

I NEVER leave my dog! However I had to board him for several days & I'm so fortunate a friend told me about Susie's. Welcoming, clean, wonderful staff, excellent care of my baby and reasonably priced. Years ago I had a bad experience leaving my dog so I am very critical of any facility. Susie's ticks all the boxes. You can safely entrust your fur baby to their care.
Susie is a fantastic trainer and she runs an excellent, clean facility that cares about you and your dogs. We have had to leave town fairly frequently and Susie has been dependable, her staff is friendly, the drop-off process is thoughtful and clear. I can't say enough about the facility itself; it has a great vibe. It's welcoming and professional. I know my pets are safe. We feel so very fortunate to have Susie and her team to care for our pets when life takes us out of town. Would recommend, thank you.

Windy and her team helped us with our puppy for the entire first year. They started off walking her twice a day and then to once a day. They update you with heart melting pictures so I could show them off to my colleagues. They carried over all the leash training and immediately notified us if anything seemed odd. We couldn't have done the first year without them. And our puppy loved every minute of it. I definitely recommend their services.
I was very anxious about going on a planned vacation due to my 18 year old cat who is on many meds when my neighbor recommended Windy. Windy was so calm and asked just the right questions when I met her that I felt a huge sense of relief. During my vacation she regularly sent updates and photos and did such a great job with both of my cats. I highly recommend her company!

Windy is extremely professional and reliable, and has assisted our two dogs with walks for several years now. She has adapted to our changing circumstances, and welcomes new challenges with understanding and kindness. When my daughter was born and we unexpectedly had to stay in the NICU for several days, Windy stepped up to make sure our two dogs at home got their walks and food (and of course belly rubs) while we were away, which allowed us to focus on our new arrival until she got the care she needed. I've been a client of BellyRub for nearly two years, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the kindest, most reliable, friendly, and affordable pet care. I have a shy and very sweet cat that needed sitting whenever I traveled, both for weekends away, as well as up to two week trips, and BellyRubs always provided the best care. The owner, who provided my cat care each and every time, understood that my cat needed time to adjust before she would be comfortable around her, and did so with great patience. Due to her careful efforts, my cat grew to enjoy her company, and was always well adjusted and healthy when I returned from trips. She even noticed when my cat had an unexpected health issue while I was away, and worked with me early and late in the day to provide her with care that resolved the issue almost immediately. I received regular photo text message updates on how my cat was doing at home while I traveled, and I always came home to a friendly note about my cat's time while I was away. She went above and beyond to help me in a pinch, and was always helpful and courteous. She has excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of cat behavior and needs. I could not recommend BellyRub Pet Services higher, and am very grateful for the care they provide.
BellyRub is wonderful!!! Windy was more than helpful when we moved to Portland. Our sitter was very friendly and very informative. She sent pictures every visit. I felt very good about the service they were providing. My cat handled our leaving for vacation (right after we moved) wonderfully because our sitter treated him so well. I HIGHLY recommend them.
Windy at BellyRub has been tending to my dogs since September 2013, when I brought home an eight week old Lab puppy brother to my three year old Lab. She has been great to work with, following direction well, and being flexible when needed. If I need an extra visit or decide to cancel because I'm working from home, I always receive a "no problem!". She goes above and beyond, noticing when something is off and asking me about it then fixing it if needed. She also checks on my ducks and chickens to make sure they have access to water if it's cold or hot outside. I know my dogs really enjoy having her!
Windy with Bellyrub Pet Services is the best, hands down. I have a 150 lb puppy that can be a handful, and he means the world to me. Windy is the only other person I trust to care for him. She is pleasant, flexible, dependable, and highly professional. No matter what my pup throws at Windy, she knows exactly what to do and always keeps me in the loop. I only wish everybody could be as good at what they do as Windy is. She is a true professional.
Windy took care of my girls quite a bit over the past couple years, and they loved her. Be it when I was out of town for several days straight, or stopping in a couple days a week when I had long days at work, I loved knowing that my girls would be well taken care of and that they looked forward to their visits with Windy. I am sad that we recently moved to deep SE Portland and are out of the BellyRub service area, but you can bet that if we move back to North Portland Windy will be one of the first people I contact!
When I adopted two small terriers from a rescue organization I knew I was going to need someone special to help me with their care. After contacts with several pet services in the area I chose to go with Windy at BellyRub because of her professionalism. She immediately understood the issues associated with rescue animals and displayed patience and kindness towards Wilbur and Daisy. She also was able to set limits on their impulsive and somewhat unpredictable behaviors, helping them to be come more confident and well behaved. In addition when Windy comes to the house she always checks things over such as their water and toys, as well as a time or two has cleaned up after an accident. I have grown to depend on BellyRub to take excellent care of my pups and they show nothing but love and excitement when she comes to the house. If you're looking for an alternative to the impersonal experience of using an app to find a random pet sitter - I can't recommend Leave It To Shoo! highly enough. She's easy to set up with (just 1 short visit to determine pet needs) and very communicative while you're away - provides daily updates and pictures of your pets. (Examples pictured) My pets were loved and taken care of by Shoo while I was away - and that's all than you can ask for!
We have had the best experience possible with Leave it to Shoo for the past 3 years. It is such peace of mind to know that our cat is being so well taken care of while we are away. Shoo has the key to our home on a permanent basis; we trust her implicitly. She always either answers her phone or gets back right away when we need to book her. She never has a problem working us into her schedule. Shoo brings in the mail, makes sure the house is secure, and always leaves a note and extra food and water for our cat on the last day. The litter box and surrounding area are kept immaculate. We can tell that Olaf has had a great time while we are gone because he is not vocal or clinging when we get back! They play together and Shoo gives him lots of love. We have no hesitation recommending Leave it to Shoo for in-home pet care!
Sharon was absolutely wonderful with all our animals (fish, parrot, cats, dog)! She sent us daily pictures and updates on how everybody was doing while my family was absent, and communicated very quickly and competently in handling a prickly situation with our not-too-friendly dog. She reads animal behavior very well, is very responsible and resourceful, and we highly recommend her services.
Shoo's been our go-to cat sitter for several years and has been great! She sends daily updates with pictures and keeps our plants alive as well. She is super reliable and responds very quickly. We'll definitely continue using her services for years to come!

Sharon is amazing! I recently moved to the area and, on a short notice, had to find a pet-sitter for my dog and a cat for a few days. Sharon took such a good care of them! My dog can be a little mischievous, so Sharon even built "a fort", so my dog wouldn't get to the cat's stuff. When I got back, pets looked happy and well taken care of. Sharon kept in touch me regularly, informing on how everything is. She definitely does more than just pet-sitting - she even texted me to make sure I landed ok and am safe on the way home. Sharon is an excellent pet sitter. Sharon pet sat for a week. She took special care of my kitty (a cancer survivor) who needed daily medication. In addition she took care of 2 other cats, and 2 rabbits. Daily she texted me with an update and made helpful suggestions. When I got home, the kitchen was spotless and the animals well cared for. I would use her again.
Shoo is very professional, gives attention to detail, and is a very caring provider for animals. Along with myself, several family members have also used her services. We have known Shoo even before she went into this business, and we trust her completely with our home and animals.

We boarded our young (under 1 year) Australian Sheppard here over the Christmas holiday. Wendy was very hands on in making sure that he would be a good fit as he was a bit younger than they usually take. Right away this made us feel good, as we knew they were very serious about this experience. There is plenty of space for the dogs to exercise and socialize with the other dogs. Will absolutely be boarding here again!

I love the free day opportunity. It is understandable sense my dog has been training through severe separation anxiety for a couple months after his previous owners kenneled him until he was 5 months. He's a quick study and the man that lead him into his dog daycare was the 1st my dog has ever gone with without pulling and the man saw that he was better the next day. Phew! I recommend this place. Check out the savings on the buying options. The price is right. Also feels like a good and happy neighborhood dog daycare. My dog came back tired and ready to eat. They have great prices on meals but I just feed him so he has a routine.
My beloved, healthy mini schnauzer DIED in their care from horrific injuries. Your dog is not safe with them. I trusted them with my sweet little pup and he never came back home.
I called to speak with someone about boarding my dog and they were so rude! I said, "Happy Friday! How are you?" To which they scoffed and replied, "What do you need?" I said I was thinking of boarding my dog, but not when they spoke to me like that. The person laughed and said, "That's fine." And hung up. if this is how they treat the humans, I worry how they treat the animals. No thanks.
This place is awesome!!! My dogs love coming here, and they are always so tired when I pick them up, which is great because a lot of the time during the work week, I do not have time to play with them. Cheaper than any other place in the PDX area as they have package deals for weeks/months. More days you buy, cheaper it is overall. Pickup/drop off process is quick and efficient. The sweet lady that works here is a hoot and always making me laugh. Thank you, Safe Journey!
I just gotta say, I absolutely love this place! The staff and environment are incredibly friendly and welcoming. my two rotties always have such a good time there. I know my boys can be difficult at times, but they are very patient with them and they always come home happy and healthy wiggle butts! <3

I have nothing negative to say about them. Only thing is that i wish they were closer to Troutdale. I absolutely love bringing my dog here. He always comes home very very tired. You can tell that the staff here is very knowledgeable about what they're doing as well. I drop him off before work or a trip and i leave with a peace of mind. i appreciate how they try to accommodate my schedule as well. I also love how they don't kennel their dogs. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and a kennel would not be a good time for him. I really appreciate this business, and the staff that can make it all happen. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs a great doggy day care.
This place holds one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This happened 1 year ago. I took my sweet old pup there for a few day care trials in anticipation of a potential 10 day stay. He seemed to liked it so I went ahead and book his long stay. Conin was at Safe Journey a total of 5 days and he died. They emailed me while I was abroad to tell me my dog had not eaten in 3 days and that he was in poor health. 3 days! I immediately had a family friend go pick him up and 24 hours later he was dead. Not only this has been dramatic and absolutely devastating, but I also had to deal with the complete and utter lack of responsibility Safe Journey decided to take regarding this after I arrived back in the US. I received long emails from them with just excuses. I strongly believed that my dog was left in isolation, not fed and not cared for at all. He was so dehydrated when my friend picked him up, that even after 24 in intensive care they could not revive him. This place is extremely dodgy, they thrive themself as specialized in "difficult dogs", and so i trusted these people with my 15 year old mutt. He was a healthy old pup, and within 5 days he became ill and died. They took no responsibility, they did not offer to reimburse me for the days he did not spend in there, there was zero care, only a bunch of excuses. The recent number of horrible review have encouraged me to speak up. At the time, I reported them to the better business bureau. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you had a poor experience there. Below is a photo of Conin on August 24th (the day I dropped him off) and the photo of him 6 days after. Bless him.
We love Safe Journey so much! Craig and the team care so much about our pup and make sure he’s having a good time- whether he feels like relaxing alone or playing with others. It’s such a life saver to have a neighborhood hang out spot we can drop in any day or time. The rates are fantastic as well. Thanks Safe Journey team!
My dogs love this place! Kennels can be anxiety inducing, especially for resuce dogs. At Safe Journey, they get to socialize freely, making it more natural for all the dogs. In addition to our dogs being happy, they have very flexible availability and fair pricing, a must for last-minute travelers like myself.

My husband, myself and our pup just moved to the SE area and we were stressing on finding a doggy daycare. We both work all day and didn’t want our pup to be home alone; he has a lot of anxiety & especially separation anxiety. We found Mary Ellen’s daycare and immediately she sounded like a good fit. We’ve been taking our pup to her for about a month now and it’s been going great! We were really concerned that his anxiety would be an issue and that maybe it’d be a bit much for Mary Ellen, but she quickly dispelled those fears. She’s been working with our pup and helping him adjust to the new routine and has been incredibly kind and patient. We’re so grateful to have found Mary Ellen ☺️☺️☺️
We LOVE Wag Along! Our pup has been going there for a while for daycare and comes home happy and exhausted. We've also boarded her there and had a great experience. Mary Ellen is knowledgeable, flexible and reliable, and it is such a great spot for our pup to spend some time each week! Our girl can be a little nervous to leave us (she grew up during pandemic stay-home orders), but warmed right up to going! I know how much she loves it by her excitement when we pull in for drop off & at the end of the day, she usually doesn't want to leave! We consider Wag Along her second family and highly recommend them for boarding or daycare :)
I feel grateful to have found this day care/boarding location for my pup! I’ve brought my pup there for day care and I’ve boarded her for as long as 5 days. My dog always leaves happy and tired from playing with all the other wonderful dogs. I trust that Mary Ellen keeps a watchful eye over all of the dogs while they are under her care. Mary Ellen is excellent at communicating with me and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my puppy there. I would highly recommend!
Mary Ellen is the best. We always leave our dog with her when we're away and have been doing so since 2016. As soon as we pull up outside her house, she starts whimpering to get out and join her friends. Mary Ellen has two dogs of her own, Margaux and Rou, both wonderful golden retrievers who our dog adores. They're kind of like benevolent older siblings to her. I often think our dog has a better time than we do — home away from home!
I took my anxious 1 year old puppy to Wag Along to try to help with her separation anxiety and socialization. Mary Ellen took extra good care of her and within a few weeks Bootsy was more confident and well behaved and she loves going to see Mary Ellen and to play with the other dogs. I appreciate how very easy drop off and pick up is, and that my pup is still clean at the end of the day. Mary Ellen is kind, responsible and the price is right.
We’ve taken our energetic 1.5 year old heeler Sylvie here since the beginning of the year, been a very positive experience. Space-wise it’s essentially a house & yard, rather than the typical warehouse type areas of other doggy daycares. We appreciate the fact that the owner, Mary Ellen, has been doing this a long time and is very hands-on – it’s good to know our pup’s with someone experienced & who really cares about both the animals & how things are run. She’s flexible and the whole process has been super easy. Price is pretty standard. Our dog is fairly high strung and at first she had a lot of anxiety about being left there. But after a little while she got over it, now it’s fun to watch her excitedly run to Mary Ellen & all her doggy friends in the morning. I think the daycare has actually helped out her maturation process. Mary Ellen sends video clips and/or photos during the day showing them playing & lounging around, which is fun for a doting dog parent like me. The pup comes home happy & tired. We just do part-time right now - to socialize Sylvie & keep her company while the humans work, also to create a familiarity in case we ever have to board her there sometime for travel. Highly recommended.
We love having our Sully with Mary Ellen. We never worry about him when he’s there. We use daycare and board with her when we are out of town. He is always excited to see her and she takes such good care of the pups in her care. Recommend her 110%.
Mary Ellen takes such good care of my baby, I never worry at all when she’s there. My dog was super timid before she started going about a year ago and now she’s so happy to go see her friends each time. Mary Ellen watches a nice variety of sizes and breeds, so she’s exposed to all kinds of dogs, which is helpful for the real world. I literally don’t know what I would do without her.
