My dog has been with Laura and Gemma since being a pup , he loves his time with them and thrived being a pack member . He’s turned into a very happy , cheeky dog . He exercises with Laura 3 days a week and me 4 days a week . Recommended 100 % .

Laura at Paws2Please is definitely the best dog trainer we have worked with in the five years we have had our cocker spaniel. We enlisted Laura’s help after worrying about some aggression issues towards other dogs, with our seven year old spaniel. She has been wonderful to work with. She offers realistic and practical advice, getting us to reconnect with our dog and better understand him. Like most dog training, or should that be owner training, it is repetitive but we are delighted to say after around four training sessions we can see real positive progress. His behaviour is much better than it was and he seems more contented. Highly recommended.

Laura and Gemma are fantastic with my dog Kenny, they have fit him in last minute many times and done house calls when he has been unwell - they really go above and beyond After they have taken Kenny out I always receive pictures and updates from them, he always looks like he is having the best time! You can really tell they both love Kenny and he gets so excited to see them both! Brilliant service, would really recommend!

We got in touch with Laura first for some advice on training our bouncy, energetic newly re-homed greyhound, Nelly. Her advice and training programme were excellent, based around reward, and really helped Nelly to become a more polite young lady! We also now use Laura for dog walking but the experience Nelly gets is much more than a “walk”. She gets to play, let her energy out and socialise with other dogs. We get texts and pictures and updates on how she is doing. There is no doubt that Nelly loves the time she gets with her new pals. Laura is friendly, extremely flexible, kind and we have no doubt that Nelly gets a lot of love. When Nelly was first a bit nervous travelling with other dogs she did everything to build her confidence. We are delighted we found Paws2Please and there is no doubt Nelly is a better behaved and even happier (if that’s possible!) dog as a result of her time with Laura.

Laura is amazing with our puppy. She visits twice a day while we’re at work to let her out, play and feed her. She send photos and updates and is very flexible for any changes i have. It’s been so reassuring leaving a young puppy knowing she’s being looked after by Laura. You can really tell she absolutely loves her job and cares about dogs so much.

Laura has been amazing with my puggle puppy, Jackson. She was knowledgeable about the breed from my initial enquiry and even worked a bank holiday Monday to come and begin his training as it was time critical due to his age. By the time her first visit was finished, my boy was able to sit, get off the sofa and lay down on command, he was so proud of himself. Laura is friendly, professional, and each visit is followed up with an email detailing how to continue training. She’s an absolute star, I’m so glad I found her!

Having got a new puppy and wanting her to enjoy new experiences with others dogs I found Laura’s service “paws2please” and loved her attitude and outlook on caring for other people’s dogs as she saw them as looking after a member of someone’s family and the responsibilities that come with that. She always made sure the dogs in each pack mixed well together taking in each dogs different quirks and behaviours . Our Labrador Harley joined at around 7 months old ,having also met Laura previously for one to one behaviour and obedience classes. Harley has become very attached to going for play dates with Laura and her paws2please pack she loves being around other dogs and enjoys anyone’s company and I believe that is down to having her 2 days a week with paws2please. Laura and her services are absolutely top notch, when i first got in touch they were chatty and extremely helpful. After arranging for them to meet my companion, they were happy to help. Laura visited us at home to meet our dog before she started the walking. She is very friendly and our dog loves the walks, Laura is very accommodating and always let's us know when our dog it home safe and sound. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic dog walking and day car service in York. Andy is very professional, and also just a generally great guy. We feel completely at ease handing over our 1 year old retriever to Andy to look after. Would highly recommend!

You will not find a better Dog Sitting Service than 4 Paws Pet Service! Sophie and Tom are exceptional at what they do, and they go above and beyond with everyone dog under their care. Our Greyhound Beauty is a regular for Day Care and Overnight, and she comes back everytime a very happy (and tired) dog!

It’s always a worry handing your puppy over to someone else for a period of time, but we never worry when we know she is going to 4 paws. We get regular updates and photos and she always has the best time. She always lands back home tired but very happy, which is always lovely to see

4 Paws Pet Services are amazing ! Tom and Sophie are so good they have been brilliant with our 6 month old Puppy Jack teaching him new things, especially recall which we were having trouble with . I cannot recommend this business highly enough !

I would highly recommend 4 Paws Pet Services. Sophie and Tom are amazing with the dogs and they both work exceptionally hard to ensure the dogs receive the best experience possible. They send regular updates and our dogs Ralph & Teddy truly had a great time. When we picked them up they didn’t want to come home! I will definitely continue to use their services in the future.

4 Paws is quite simply outstanding! I know when my dog loves something because he shows me. He loves going to doggy daycare and adores Sophie and Tom, eagerly awaiting their arrival to pick him up when he is due to go. Their daycare setting is extremely well managed and offers private woodland and field path walks as well as a huge garden which I know my dog loves to play in as Sophie and Tom often send me photographs of him playing with his friends. Their facilities are just like a cosy home and my dog has benefited from social interaction with his doggy-friends. Their care is exceptional and they make a point of getting to know YOUR dog and meet their needs. Whether I'm working or simply for a 'playday' for my dog, I have no hesitation in recommending 4 Paws. Brilliant

I sent my 2 (crazy) labradoodles to Sophie and Tom last summer for a weekend and they both had the best time. They managed to fit my 2 in very last minute and were very accommodating! I always get nervous leaving my dogs in a new place but I felt so at ease. Sophie and Tom sent photos everyday and updates. My dogs had the best time with them and absolutely love 4 Paws! In all the pictures that were sent, the dogs looked so happy and don’t even think they missed me! I would 100% recommend 4 Paws to anyone thinking about sending their fur baby there! It also helps that Sophie and Tom are such lovely people too!!

We’ve had the lovely Sophie and Tom take care of our cat for all of our holidays over the last couple of years. They’re kind, thoughtful and take great care of our fur baby feeding her and giving her a few treats. They also keep you updated each day which puts your mind at rest.

We have used ‘4 Paws’ for walks, doggy daycare and holidays for over 4 years and wouldn’t use anyone else. The care our dog recieves whilst with Sophie and Tom is second to none and she is treated with the same level of love and kindness as if she were their own dog. We have total confidence in leaving her when we go on holiday and the only downside is that our dog doesn’t want to come home!!!! Sophie and Tom are professional, reliable and accommodating and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. By far the best dog care business in the area.

I am extremely pleased with the service that Nigel and Emma offer. We have a lively young terrier and a nervous senior cat. At the preliminary visit, we were very impressed by N and E's professionalism and understanding of the needs of both pets. We have used their service many times since and have found them to be both flexible and reliable. I am very confident leaving both pets in their care. and caring am confident leaving both in their care.

Nigel and Emma are very reliable and ensure my dog Xena has a great walk. Xena is always very excited to see them which only reaffirms that she has a great bond with them. They are also very trustworthy and lovely people to deal with. They will always try and accommodate for last minute requests too which really helps us out. I would definitely recommend their services to others.

Nigel and Emma have been walking our dogs for many years since they took over Petpals York. They have also looked after our cats when we’ve been away. They have always been professional and utterly trustworthy. They have been flexible to accommodate ‘doggie quirks’ and adjusted their routine for exercise when any of the dogs has been unwell or injured. They are highly recommended.

Nigel and Emma have always been wonderful with our Cat, Remus. We use Petpals to look after our cat when we are away from home. They are great with him, reliable, flexible, great value and trustworthy. They also send us pictures of how Remus is getting on via Whatsapp which we love! Far less stressful for the cat than a cattery, and great value.

Although I’ve not needed to use their services during the pandemic, it has been lovely seeing the happy posts from Petpals as they’ve continued to provide support for some very content looking cats and dogs. Having used Petpals many times in the past for my cats, I will certainly be calling them again as soon as I can travel again. I’m a bit disorganised, but Nigel and Emma have always responded straight away and helped me out with my last minute bookings. Thanks to you both, and stay safe.

Petpals York have been walking our 8 year old Boxer since he was a young lad! They are very compassionate and professional and our family highly recommend them. Our doggie was poorly a couple of years ago and Nigel and Emma were very supportive and adjusted to our needs at that time. We can't thank them enough for loving our dog as much as we do.

We have used Nigel and Emma for the last three years, whenever we have gone away for more than a night or two, to look after our cat. They are professional, attentive, caring, and always keep us updated throughout. We have never had any issues, and will continue to use them as long as we need a cat-sitter. Would highly recommend their service!

Petpals is fantastic! Our cats got very stressed when we used to take them to a cattery. Now it's "business as usual" for the cats and we can go away knowing they are being very well looked after. It's extremely easy too - all we do is send and email and pay! We can't recommend Petpals enough.

My troublesome terrier, Eddie, has been going to Waggy since January 2023. It's such a relief to know he is happy, safe, and having fun while I'm at work. He The staff are wonderful and treat every dog as an individual, respecting their boundaries. They offer a pick up and drop off service. I use the drop off service and it's great as I don't drive and would have to change my work hours to be able to pick him up myself via the bus. They also offer a grooming service on-site which is also very handy. Eddie loves going, he sings an 'arrival song' (very loudly) as soon as we get through the door. I honestly cannot praise the staff enough. Never mind 5 stars, they deserve 500!

Took my cockerpoo here for a groom after a traumatic groom elsewhere due to severe matting. Anna was amazing from start to finish- we communicated on text messaging and she answered my questions and had such a positive, calming manner, and was more than willing to help. On the day of the groom she suggested I bring in dog treats, favourite toys etc to make the experience as easy as possible for my dog. The groom is amazing, and I can’t thank Anna and the team enough for understanding our situation and really helping my dog to feel at ease. We won’t be going anywhere else

Our Yorkshire Terrier Alfie spent two days at the Waggy Dog Crèche whilst we visited York on a short holiday. We wanted to take our dog away with us and Vanessa and her team were wonderful. He clearly enjoyed his days there and I highly recommend the Waggy Dog Crèche and doggy day care in general to help your dog socialise whilst having a good time in a safe environment.

Recommend. Our labrador Timmy goes for 1 day a week and absolutely loves it ❤. Has really gained in confidence with socialising with so many other dogs Rushes to get in and always happy and tired when we pick him up. Lovely team of people and completely trust them to take good care of our dog 🐕

Visiting the area while on holiday from Scotland. Contacted the waggy dog creche a good few weeks ago to see if they could help by having our 2 1/2 year old labrador for a day while we visited the non dog friendly sights in York. We got a quick response advising us of the criteria, documentation and vaccines etc that our dog needed to fulfil before he could be accepted even for a day. Vanessa was super hopeful and accommodating at every step. Fergus our labrador was literally smiling when we picked him up and had clearly enjoyed his day. I would thoroughly recommend The Waggy Dog Creche and we will wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Just back from holiday to York with our dog Buddy. Waggy Dog Creche is an excellent facility with great staff who ensured Buddy had great fun the days we visited Jorvik and York Dungeon. They are very centrally located and are 2minutes away from Grimston Park and ride. If you plan to use Waggy Tails for your holiday toYork make sure to contact them a couple of months before your visit so they can complete the necessary screening documents so your dog can visit

I have taken my shih tzu for grooming for 3 years and she loves it. So keep going.thank you for the help.

The BEST! we took our rescue dog here who we can't normally take off lead she she loved it so much! She had an amazing run around and played, she was the happiest I've ever seen her! Golden paws is also really well thought out, lots of nice spots to sit for the humans, including a sheltered shed, water for the dogs and fun obstacles for them to play about with and run around. We will definitely be back 😊

Just like to say these lady's are the best dog walkers in the york area, they play with your dogs as well as take them for a walk .Gill and Marie are very professional in there work. We would highly recommend them to anybody , And wouldn't hesitate to use them again .

I love taking our 9 month old springer spaniel to Golden Paws. The girls are really friendly and accommodating and make us feel really comfortable. This space offers an opportunity for him to run off in a contained space while we continue to practice his recall!

Wonderful dog daycare where the dogs are well looked after and their safety and wellbeing is taken very seriously, we are so happy to have found this place for our little guy and he has so much fun when he goes. Helen is amazing and just so friendly and helpful as well, if you can get in this is an amazing place for your dog, especially smaller breeds.

Helen is wonderful with our hyperactive border collie. He feels safe and happy in her care and gets the exercise and stimulation he needs, playing with the other dogs. We have absolute confidence in her and her commitment to the dogs and their welfare. We have a happy and exhausted pup at the end of the day!

I found Helen just over a month ago, she is amazing with my little puppy, my puppy loves going to doggy day care, when Lola see`s Helen her tail is wagging and off she runs into the house. I have peace of mind for the 12 hours I am at work. Helen is reliable, flexible, trustworthy, friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble, I would highly recommend Helen`s services. I cannot recommend Helen enough. Burt loves her so much, he’s always so excited to go for his walks. He comes back tired and it breaks his day up when I’m at work so well. Even when one of us is about we still get Helen to walk him as we know he has so much fun with her and the other dogs!

Helen was always super lovely and took care of my dog. She sometimes had her at late notice or irregularly. My dog was a little nervous and eventually got overwhelmed.

We never thought we'd find someone who loves our dog as much as we do, but then we met Helen! She's caring, knowledgeable and passionate about dogs and Pickle could not be in safer hands!

Doggie daycare takes care of my very excitable German shepherd puppy she is fantastic with him and I wouldn’t let him go with anyone else. Always fantastic to see all the updates on him through the day. Would highly recommend doggie day care for anyone who needs a experience dog walker :)

A certain person has posted disgraceful reviews about doggie daycare,The lady who runs doggie day care is a very caring and professional dog walker and her clients have nothing but praise for her professionalism when caring for their dogs, Such a shame she had to meet up with a very arrogant and verbally abusive person walking his dogs,His verbal abuse of the lady’s mum was disgraceful just because her own little dog wanted to make friends with his dogs,at the time of this incident all the lady’s clients dogs were safe in her vehicle and the two little dogs he is complaining about were the lady and her mums pet dogs just trying to be friendly.

We’ve used Emma’s services (cat sitting) a couple of times now. Emma is professional, kind, caring and understanding. The price range is amazing too. Although our cat isn’t the most sociable cat, Emma took/takes the time to get to know her and understand her needs. Both my partner and I would recommend Emma in a heartbeat. It takes a lot for us to trust someone to come into our home and look after our pet. However, we never ever had any worries with Emma. Emma kept us updated throughout and her caring nature really showed

Emma came highly recommended when i was looking for help with feeding my 2 cats and fish whilst away on business. She's reliable, dependable and organised. Emma has been walking our dog since we got him 3 years ago. She’s reliable, friendly and clearly loves her job. I know that when I’m at work, our dog is getting the exercise and attention that we’d give him ourselves. Brilliant service!

Oli and Lexi are a brilliant team. Our puppy is always so excited to see them and it is definitely his favourite hour of the day. Nothing is too much trouble for Oli and he has happily built on the puppy training we have been doing. The little videos of our little Asher responding to Oli and playing with Lexi were wonderful to receive and it is so reassuring to know that our dog has a good hour of exercise, play and stimulation. We would highly recommend Oli and his adorable partner Lexi.

Our 10 month old beagle Marge has been walking with Oli and Lexi for the last 5 months. She absolutely loves her walks and enjoys meeting and playing with new friends. Oli is great with her, he helps with training, lead walking and recall. Such a great help for us while we are at work! We would highly recommend Oli :)

Ollie is a very knowledgeable and kind dog walker. Jakey is a nervous dog and seemed to really take to him on the 4 visits provided by him over a weekend I was working. Thank you Ollie and furry friends that accompanied him.
