This 2 bedroom, 2-floor townhouse is located above a flower shop in Jersey City - only a 5 minute walk to the Grove Steet PATH train and 20 minutes into downtown Manhattan. The townhouse is located on a tree-lined street just a half block away from Newark ave, a main street with bars and restaurants. The Freedom Tower is viewable through the windows. The bedroom is large with a queen-sized bed. The second bedroom has a Peloton available for use as well as a desk for you to work remotely. There is a washer/dryer in-unit as well as a dishwasher. You have free rein over the living room devices and kitchen appliances. There is a small roof space to sit outdoors if you'd like some fresh air.

My cat gets fed a can of cat food once in the am and once in the pm. She is very easy to care for and loves love. Our puppy is 1 year old and a lovable/ very energetic nugget. He is 55 pounds and VERY VERY high energy so if you are looking for a housesit that allows you to leave for long stretches of time, this isn’t for you. Concurrently, he can sometimes pull a bit on the leash so if you are not physically equipped to handle a large dog, this sit isn't for you. He is fed 2x per day and needs a solid hour walk in the am and pm and short walks every 4-6 hours. He also sleeps and bed and is all love and play - no aggression.

Cleocatra is an absolute delight! She is a bit shy and keeps to herself but will come to snuggle with you at night and goes crazy for her toys! The house is very nice and warm! Great location...with shops and metro 10 minutes walking distance. Laura is an amazing host, she made us feel very welcome and gave us all the information we needed about Cleocatra and also about the neighborhood and NYC! We would certainly sit Cleocatra again and again and again! =D ...as we loved her and we now miss her!

Laura has an awesome house in Astoria very close to the metro and to a lot of shops, restaurants and night life. She was very welcoming and friendly and made me feel at home. The resident cat, Cleocatra is super sweet and affectionate and kept me company at all times. She is easy to care for and takes her meds like a champ. It was amazing to have the opportunity to visit NY and meet Laura and Cleo!

What a pleasure to sit for Laura and her lovely cat Cleocatra! Although Cleocatra needed 2 shots of insuline a day, she was the cutest and the bravest, making all the process really easy. We manage to have trust in each other in no time. She spent lots of time sleeping next to me while I was working from home on my computer. You will fall in love with her in a second! Also Laura is super nice and friendly, and the Astoria area really pleasant! I highly recommend!

To say I was blown away by Tania is the biggest understatement of the century. Not only was she flexible when I had to adjust our travel plans last minute, she also spent 10 full days leash training our new puppy. It's a night and day difference with behavior. I feel like I won the TH lottery. 10/10 no notes. Would highly recommend.
