Woerden, close to Utrecht, with 2 beautiful cats
Introduction
We recently moved to a picturesque village - Woerden - in the Netherlands. We are from Cape Town and brought along our two cat children Atticus and Scout. Dieter works as a HR Researcher and Zani is a Nutrition Specialist. We do like to travel and want to make sure that our two cats and home are safe and cared for when we are out of town.

We stay in the green heart of the Netherlands a beautiful village called Woerden, a 15 minute train ride from Utrecht. We are about a 15-minute walk away from the station (there is also a bus if you don’t want to walk ;)). We live in a house with a small garden. The house has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a separate spacious living room with connected internet. There is a separate office space that is quiet and ideal for getting a lot done ;) The house is walking distance from the home is the village center with shops, restaurant and several pubs.
Show more...Responsibilities
The sitter will be required to feed the cats at 07:00 and again at 18:00. Fill the water bowls with fresh water in the morning. Clean the litter boxes in the morning and evening. If it is a long stay, the sitter will be required to change the litter. The cats must be brushed every second day. The sitter should preferably be home in the evenings and if possible during the day (but not essential). Sitter will also have to water the house plants once a week in winter or twice a week in summer. Ensure that house is clean and tidy before leaving. (We promise to leave you a clean house before we leave :) )

We loved the house and catsit at Dieter's and Zani's house. The house is very comfortable, and Woerden is a small town with a nice small historic center with lots of restaurants and good stores. But more important: we loved being with Atticus and little Scout. They are good humoured and sweet kitties. They don't scratch or bite and are real easy to take care of. Recommended sit.

We’ve just spent the past 8 days housesitting for Zani and Dieter’s house and looking after Scout and Atticus. It was a wonderful time. We met Zani and Dieter over dinner the night before the sit started. They are a delightful couple, and we enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know them. We felt so welcome with them. While they were away, they were very responsive whenever we had questions. The house is in Woerden, the most charming little town imaginable. It is cute and has everything you could ask for, all within a short walk. We enjoyed our frequent walks along the canal to the town center. Their home is beautiful and was very comfortable for our family of three. The kitties, Scout and Atticus, are very sweet. They were cautious at first but then warmed up to us and let us give them some love. They are pretty chill and independent. We had a lovely time with this sitting experience and would absolutely love to do it again.

I really enjoyed staying in Zanis beautiful home. Atticus and Scout were BEYOND adorable. They are so soft and fluffy!!! Atticus would always come to me for cuddles and Scout would snuggle with me on the couch while we binge watched Hunger Games. Zanis house if very warm and comfortable. Candles everywhere to give a really soothing vibe. They live about a 10-15 min walk from the train station. It's quite easy to go to other places in the Netherlands. I did a quick day trip to the Hague, Rotterdam, Lieden, and Amsterdam. I can't wait to come back and housesit again! Hopefully another kings day and hopefully not sick this time lol. Thanks again for having me!

Spent Easter weekend at Dieter and Zani's. I love spending time a bit off the beaten track, which Woerden is great for. It is interesting enough historically, its surroundings are pretty and I loved their home. Last but not least: the cats were cute and fun. Recommended sit.
