Woerden, close to Utrecht, with 2 beautiful cats

We recently moved to a picturesque village - Woerden - in the Netherlands. We are from Cape Town and brought along our two cat children Atticus and Scout. Dieter works as a HR Researcher and Zani is a Nutrition Specialist. We do like to travel and want to make sure that our two cats and home are safe and cared for when we are out of town.

We stay in the green heart of the Netherlands a beautiful village called Woerden, a 15 minute train ride from Utrecht. We are about a 15-minute walk away from the station (there is also a bus if you don’t want to walk ;)). We live in a house with a small garden. The house has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a separate spacious living room with connected internet. There is a separate office space that is quiet and ideal for getting a lot done ;) The house is walking distance from the home is the village center with shops, restaurant and several pubs.

The sitter will be required to feed the cats at 07:00 and again at 18:00. Fill the water bowls with fresh water in the morning. Clean the litter boxes in the morning and evening. If it is a long stay, the sitter will be required to change the litter. The cats must be brushed every second day. The sitter should preferably be home in the evenings and if possible during the day (but not essential). Sitter will also have to water the house plants once a week in winter or twice a week in summer. Ensure that house is clean and tidy before leaving. (We promise to leave you a clean house before we leave :) )

We had a wonderful time staying in Zani and Dieters' lovely apartment in the centre of Rotterdam. We enjoyed the local film festival and being so central near all the shops and restaurants with some delicious vegan options! Zani and Dieter were really nice and showed us around before we came to sit and gave clear instructions and were really laidback. But of course, most of all, we had a great time with their two furry chonks, Scout the Stout and Atticus the Catticus! They were so cute and well behaved and easy to take care of. Scout is the absolute queen of biscuitmaking on top of you or next to you (although I spied Atti doing it in his catbed a few times too). When Atticus relaxed enough around us he started splaying out on the floor or on our laps showing off his belly. We loved being greeted by the kitties at the door, too! We are missing them already.... Thank you Dieter and Zani for everything and we hope your next home will be even lovelier! 🌷

We loved our stay at Dieter and Zani! They were very welcoming even leaving us some candies on the bed! Atticus and Scout were amazing as well, very funny cats that love to play.😍 We would definitely like to come back again!

Dieter and Zani's pets - Atticus and Scout - were a bit scared, yet very warm and cuddly cats. Dieter and Zani were very welcoming in their apartment, gave extended instructions and the communication was overall great. Both cats were easy to take care of and we would definitely recommend this sit for anyone else. Thank you! :))

We had a fantastic time at Zani and Dieter's in Rotterdam! We were incredibly lucky that they entrusted us with their home and their two sweethearts Scout and Atticus for almost two weeks. Dieter welcomed us, showed us everything important in the house and during our stay we were in regular communication with Zani, who helped us and answered our questions super fast at all times. I found the communication very trusting, warm and helpful. The two cats Scout and Atticus are absolutely adorable and easy to care for. The nicest things were the regular petting sessions and playing together, where we always came up with new ideas for the two of them. Every day they grew a little closer to our hearts and it was really hard for us to say goodbye! The flat is so centrally located in Rotterdam that it couldn't be more central. A perfect starting point for excursions in the centre and the surrounding area. We especially enjoyed the great cafés and cycle paths in Rotterdam. All in all it was a wonderful stay and we will be very happy if we get the opportunity to stay again! Best, Philipp & Anna

Staying in Dieter and Zani's home was super comfortable, and their cats were lovely. Watching them play fight each other and receiving plentiful affection made it hard to leave them at the end! The location of the apartment couldn't be better if you like being in the middle of the buzz. I would certainly recommend this sit!
