Introduction
My husband and I live in a large 5 bedroom house set in 2 acres of land with large fenced in beautiful garden, the house is surrounded by fields and have lovely walks from the house. I am a very keen gardener, have a raised vegetable patch and a greenhouse. We have 3 married daughters all living away from home and six grandchildren. We are active for our age and keen golfers and Gardeners’ and love our holidays. We have a 4 year old black Labrador Finn who we leave behind when we travel abroad.

our house is situated on the outskirts of a village close to the M3 and 15 mins from M25. The house sits in 2 acres of well kept garden, two raised vegetable beds and a fruit cage for raspberries .The house faces south so gets all the days sun. It looks out over fields we own also. The house has five bedrooms two bathrooms, 2 reception rooms, dining room , kitchen and utility room. There is a large conservatory overlooking our garden which leads out to the terrace where you can sit and enjoy an evening drink. We have daily help and a gardener and most of the garden is automatically watered. There are lovely nearby in Windsor Forest, round Virginia Water and Lightwater Park as well as walks straight from the house out to fields. There is a theatre in Guildford and one in Windsor, cinemas in Camberly and Bracknell which are both nearby, You will have the choice of a double bed or a twin bedded room the bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Basically looking after, loving and walking our black labrador, he is a loving very well behaved dog, loves his walks and his food! Being 6 years old he is quite active I take him out first thing, he has a longer walk any time to suit in the morning and late afternoon has a short walk.. We do have a greenhouse which might need a little watering in the summer but otherwise the garden is automatically watered. In the summer when we are away there will be lots of vegetables and fruit for you to pick and eat. We would also need you generally to look after our house and keep an eye on things especially in the winter months.We have daily help once a week and regular gardeners so that side is all taken care of, we just like having trustworthy people in our house when we are away. To keep in regular touch with us when we are away. We have a house in Cornwall which we like to visit most months during the summer, we can take Finn with us or leave him with you but we do like to have the house occupied as we are a bit away from other houses and feel a bit vulnerable.

Thanks to Hannah and David for a lovely week looking after their charming rural home. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable. A thorough handover set us up for a stress-free house-sit. The English weather smiled on us and we spent a lot of time in the garden, relaxing in the shade and enjoying pottering around the colourful fragrant flowers and vegetable garden. Village and countryside walks were another very enjoyable diversion, literally a stone’s throw from the house. We would love to return to Meadowcroft if the opportunity arises, especially if we get to spend time with Finn, their adorable black Labrador.

We had a wonderful week at Hannah and David’s beautiful home. They are a welcoming and generous couple, offering us food the moment we arrived. Their garden is absolutely stunning and benefits from sun all day, which we were blessed with for much of our stay. There are some lovely walks from their doorstep and some incredible ones only a short drive away. Although we did not look after their gorgeous Labrador Finn, we adored him instantly and would love to look after him on another occasion. We hope to return in the future and would highly recommend to other sitters!

It’s always wonderful sitting for people’s animals and Windlesham was no exception and where we met lovely Max...a true character who claimed our hearts during the stay. He was a gentle soul who, although recovering from an operation, lapped up the attention and showed enthusiasm for all our activities....such a trooper..... A 5 star pouch! Hannah and David as hosts were very welcoming, charming and easy going with a beautiful home and gardens to die for....all in all a first class sit and one we hope to be repeating in July.

Many thanks to Hannah and David for making us so welcome in their lovely home. Max was a delight to look after, we are sure he enjoyed his time with us as much as we enjoyed our time with him and the lovely walks around Windlesham and Virginia Water. We were sad to leave him and would love to house and pet sit again in the future if we are available.
