Dormer bungalow 5 minutes drive from Preston city centre. Buses run close by too. Semi rural area with super lovely neighbours. Just over an hour away from the beautiful Lake District and an hour and half from the Peak District. An hour from historic Chester. We also have some fabulous local green spaces, Close to the Pennines and Rivington Pike. An hours drive or a train from nearby Preston will bring you into the city centre of Manchester. For those who are like me, a bit of a tv addict, we have Sky Q Netflix and Amazon Prime

We have the two lovely boys and an outdoor cat, Ella, who is a very independent cat, but will come for some love once in a while when it suits her. The boys will go for a walk (Billy will go 20 times a day given half a chance, he’s an anxious kind of guy) Charlie not so much, he’s a lazy boy! They will run around the garden in nice weather. Both boys are rescue dogs. Not a problem to leave them alone whilst you go out to explore, max 6 - 7 hours please.

I really enjoyed my stay at Jill and Waynes warm and comfortable house. They are a very friendly and welcoming couple who greeted me with a tasty homemade curry - thanks Wayne! The boys, Charlie B and Billy are absolutely adorable, and I grew very fond of them. Walking the dogs was quite the adventure (Billy is an anxious little fella), leaving no lampost or wall unscented. Ella the cat was kind enough to say hello at feeding times (she's an outdoor kitty) and was very low maintenance. The house is in a nice location with lots of greenery and grocery shops very close by. Communication was excellent while they were away, and I enjoyed hearing about their trip. I would highly recommend looking after Charlie, Billy and Ella, and staying in Jill and Waynes lovely home. Thanks for having me! (though I'm secretly hoping you'll go away again soon..) :)

Charlie Brown and Billy are lovable rascals. They spent most of their time cuddled up with us, whether that was on the couch or in bed. Walking them was relatively easy, so long as we did not get too close to other dogs -- Billy in particular is very protective. Ella the cat was just as Jill and Wayne described her -- elusive! She came in for food but did not want to socialise. Jill and Wayne's house is comfortable and well-appointed (especially the kitchen). Our stay there was easy with all the modern conveniences one could wish for. The area around Preston offered some interesting outings, and the boys travelled well in the car. We would love to return and look after Charlie, Billy, and Ella again.
