Beautiful Home in Dunedin
Introduction
My name is Lindsay Stay. I am married with two children. We have three dogs, 13 chickens and two bunnies. My husband and I both work from home in the health and fitness industry, but our job requires us to travel out of town a few times a year. Plus we travel with our children as much as we possibly can. I’ve always had my mom take care of our dogs but since adding the outside animals (chickens and bunnies) it has just become too much for her. I’d love to have someone who cares about these type of animals to take care of them.

We live just a couple miles away from honeymoon Island in Dunedin. We also live just a couple miles away from downtown Dunedin which has a fun night life and lots of cool places to eat and hang out. Downtown Dunedin has a great Friday morning and Saturday morning market. You would be staying in our guest bedroom on the lower level of our home. You would have access to our gym, sauna, library and swimming pool.

House: Water plants at the front door and the lanai. Trash goes out on Monday evenings. Cans brought back in on Tuesday. Dogs: feed and water at 8a (1.5 scoops in Frenchies and 3 scoops for Weiss) and 4p (1 scoop for Frenchies and 2 scoops for Weiss). Walk dogs once a day. Leashes hang on refrigerator in garage. Yellow goes on Noda (brown Frenchy) and Orange leash goes on Noi (white Frenchy). We clean poop from yard once a day. They run free outside we just have to make sure the gate on the side of the house is secure. On Monday's the lawn is usually mowed, bring dogs in and block dog door as needed to keep them from bothering the crew. Same is true for the pool guy, although he doesn't mind them at times! Bunnies: Check and fill water daily as needed. Gallon jugs are filled at the house and brought to the back. 1/2 cup of bunny food in dish and a handful of hay given each morning. We like to get them out into the fenced area once daily for exercise. They like to be out either in the morning or late afternoons. Return to cage and lock doors. Chickens: are free to range durning the day. Mornings we open the coop gate (make sure all gates of black chain link are closed, and dogs are not in far back yard area with the chickens). I will give one scoop of wormies to them usually off of the deck as they follow you to the feed room. Fill small metal bucket with one scoop grains, and two scoops pellets. Add a scant handful of the granite chips and dump into hanging feeder in chicken run. Check and fill water as needed with same gallon jugs from the house. Water capacity for hanging water is 7 gallons, the water house is 12 gallons and should only need filling once per week. Chickens will find their way back to the coop each night. When certain all 13 chickens are in, close and lock chicken run door. You may need to call them in with a treat of once scoop of wormies.

We so enjoyed meeting Lindsay and caring for her animals/home. It’s one of the most beautiful places we have stayed so far and Lindsay is a welcoming and gracious host! Weiss and Noda are VERY well trained - they were perfect angels for us and we miss them already!! The chickens, rabbits, and pig were very straightforward and also sweet animals. We would do this sit again in a heartbeat!

Lindsay and Tony have a beautiful home. We really enjoyed spending time with the animals, swimming in the pool and cooking in their amazing kitchen. The chickens, bunnies and pig are fairly easy to feed, and take care of. We loved collecting the fresh eggs everyday. Noda and Weiss were great. Noda wants to be where you are and will follow you everywhere. Weiss is more laid back, but both are super sweet. They both walk really nicely on a leash and the neighborhood is quiet, safe and a great place to walk the dogs and have a relaxing weekend. Thank you again!

I absolutely love this housesit and highly recommend it! Lindsay, her family, and all her animals, and beautiful home are absolutely amazing💗 She is a wonderful communicator and gave me all the information i needed to take the best care of everyone and the house. Her family is so sweet and inspiring. Her pups are very well mannered and loved hanging out with me. The kitty, domino, is such a great cat too and is very affectionate and loving. The chickens & bunny were super easy to care for and made each day exciting~ I loved collecting the eggs & giving them food in the mornings and evenings. The home also has a sauna, pool, and cold plunge bath~ so this place really feels like a farmhouse resort! I felt so at ease here, and enjoyed every minute of it with all the animals. It was an absolute blessing and gift to have this experience and I am forever grateful! Thank you all so much :) and I’m happy to help out again anytime I’m able to! Sending lots of love to you all!
