Beautiful Franklin, TN home backing up to Harpeth River
Introduction
Ben is a Nashville native with two boys (12) and (16) and Amy moved to the area over 2 years ago (will most likely be her communicating with you!). We travel a good bit for work and fun. We love to be outdoors and find all kinds of fun adventures to do together. Ben has lived in Franklin for almost 20 years and we love this charming neighborhood and town! Having someone watch our 3 year old Golden, and Amy’s cat while we travel is such a huge help. Coco is a mellow old lady and Charlie has added some life to the mix! Warning that Charlie may try and make herself comfortable on the king size bed with you! You will see our sweet old golden Haley mentioned in the reviews, we sadly had to put her down in July of 2024

We live in a wonderful neighborhood a few miles outside of downtown Franklin, TN. The house backs up to the Harpeth River and the screened in back porch allows for all kinds of solitude and comfort. The home has a fully finished basement for watching TV or playing games, and the master bed and bath are located on the main floor. Upstairs we also have a guest room with a queen bed and guest bathroom available. We recently remodeled the entire first floor too! Ben has lived here since 2012 and we have the most wonderful neighbors. We hope this relaxing setting can give you some much needed rest and time away.

Charlie needs to go out in the morning, afternoon, and night in the yard. No leash needed. She gets fed once in the morning and once in the evening. She’d love to go on an hike or walk with you but is also fine just running around outside the house with the neighbor dogs. She can be active or chill, the perfect dog! Coco has an automatic dry food feeder. She just needs wet food once a day, evening if possible, and her water fountain kept full.

Ben and his lovely pup Haley were such a joy to sit for! Haley is absolutely the sweetest angel. She loves sleeping, pets/scratches, being close by to you, and going on short walks. Caring for her was straightforward and simple. I loved how she would follow me around the house wherever I went! She is total sunshine and I fell in love with her in three short days! Ben is a great communicator and made the house sit easy. He was so kind and generous, and made this house sit such a pleasant experience for me. The house itself was gorgeous. That back porch is to die for, and the view of the water is nice too. On colder days I enjoyed spending time in the comfy living room and drinking coffee in their breakfast nook. I highly recommend this sit and would return in a heartbeat! 10 million stars!

I had the greatest honor to housesit for Ben. He was an extremely accommodating and generous host. He made it very easy to feel right at home. Ben picked me up from the airport and gave me a tour of his beautiful home. It was so spacious and well equipped with anything you may need, and more. He has a fully stocked kitchen, a huge backyard, HBO, Netflix, etc. And, as for Haley, she was an absolute doll. She was the kindest and most well mannered dog I have ever met. She was very low maintenance, mainly needed to be fed her breakfast and dinner and let out throughout the day for potty breaks. She mainly naps all day, but likes to do so knowing that you are nearby, and will often follow you around the house just to take her next slumber where ever you are. Haley was the "cool girl" on the block, everyone in the neighborhood knew who she was, making it very easy to socialize with friendly neighbors. I always felt extremely safe walking around the neighborhood despite what ever time of the day it was. The house was perfectly situated for everything that I wanted to do. Nature trails were in abundance, with distance as little as ten minutes away. Downtown Nashville was about 30 minutes away. And scenic drives could be found everywhere, especially with the Natchez trail so close by, which I am sure Ben will offer as one of his many recommendations when you ask, as he did for me! 20/10, an amazing sit. You will strike gold with this house sit, especially if you go around fall (which I HIGHLY recommend) as I did. I cannot recommend this housesit enough, Thank you so much Ben for selecting me to care for Haley and your beautiful home :)
