We live in Hingham, MA, a beautiful seaside town founded in 1643. Our house is located about a mile from downtown Hingham and the town bathing beach (that is, Hingham’s great restaurants, shops, and movie theater are just a walk or bike ride away) - and Wompatuck State Park, World’s End, and Nantasket Beach are also nearby. Furthermore, you can take the ferry boat into downtown Boston (it leaves from Hingham Shipyard and is a quick 35 minute ride) or hop on the commuter train for a quick ride into the city. Ocean, woods, and city options are all at your doorstep!

Poe is a pretty laid back, easy-to-care for guy. He’ll need his litter box cleaned daily, food & water, and some pats & attention from you. Also, we’d love for anyone coming to stay to be fully vaccinated and a non-smoker - thank you!

Poe and his family are simply lovely. I enjoyed meeting Katie, Mathjis and their children when they oriented me to their home in Hingham. We were each other’s first experience on THS and I think we were both relieved that it all worked out so well.

Poe is the most charming of cats; a perfect gentleman, affectionate without being pushy, companionable, easygoing, a dream to look after and spend time with. Katie and Mathijs and their delightful family gave me a very warm and generous welcome to their lovely, comfortable home, and were always quick to respond to any questions, as well as providing a very helpful and detailed welcome guide. Hingham is a very interesting, historic and walkable town, with the seaside as well as extensive woods and a large pond also within walking distance, and many other places of interest in the wider neighborhood. And a fine ferry ride to Boston (which docks right near the Institute of Contemporary Art and the New England Aquarium) for a great day out. A wonderful and most enjoyable pet sit.

I had an excellent time taking care of Poe! Katie and her family were so gracious and communication was great. Hingham is a lovely little town, close to Boston and easily walkable.
