We live in Hingham, MA, a beautiful seaside town founded in 1643. Our house is located about a mile from downtown Hingham and the town bathing beach (that is, Hingham’s great restaurants, shops, and movie theater are just a walk or bike ride away) - and Wompatuck State Park, World’s End, and Nantasket Beach are also nearby. Furthermore, you can take the ferry boat into downtown Boston (it leaves from Hingham Shipyard and is a quick 35 minute ride) or hop on the commuter train for a quick ride into the city. Ocean, woods, and city options are all at your doorstep!

Poe is a pretty laid back, easy-to-care for guy. He’ll need his litter box cleaned daily, food & water, and some pats & attention from you. Also, we’d love for anyone coming to stay to be fully vaccinated and a non-smoker - thank you!

I was happy I was able to meet Katie and her lovely family before they were off on their big adventure...Their home is very interesting built in 1878...The yard had many visitors several hummingbirds, birds, squirrels and rabbits...I enjoyed all my walks around the town of Hingham...Houses that dated as far back as 1750 and the cemetery with stones as far back as 1699...The little town and beach about a mile away...Very historic part of the country to visit...But most of all was the time spent with the star of the show "Poe"...Very friendly boy, easy to please...He enjoys walks outside and little nibbles of grass while the birds chirp at him...He is happiest in the house sitting in his window...I'm sure he is missing all the excitement of the kids as much as they are missing him...Thanks for having me...
