We live in the pretty village of Gullane in East Lothian. Stunning views from our hill top home over the surrounding countryside. The stunning beach is an easy walk down the hill with a slow walk back up! The village has great pubs, cafes and small independent shops. There are 2 buses per hour taking you east to North Berwick or west to the centre of Edinburgh. A golfers paradise with 22 local courses or here in the village is the famous Muirfield. We have spent the last year renovating our home and by mid August it will be finished giving a wonderful contemporary home with fabulous views. We are at the top of a hill so you need to be fit to get to us if you don't have a car.

We are looking for a house sitter who will spoil Smudge and take him for lovely walks twice a day as well as look after our home. Smudge is only a young dog so need constant reassurance and guidance and he can only be left for sound 30 mins in his crate so far. He has 2 meals a day and treats He enjoys his walks but a he's still young he can walk for a max of 60 minutes. Every walk is an adventure so he still need guidance to make good choices. He need plenty of sleep as well as mental stimulation and if he gets bored can start to be mischievous. His favourite treats when out if he walks nicely are small bits of cheese If you do need to distract him when in the house he loves dried fish tubes which he will chew whilst in his bed. He sleeps in his crate in the utility room from around 10.30pm until 7am. He can sometimes whine and bang on his crate for attention. We ignore this as he just want out to play because he's awake! He has his own dog flap as it very good at going out to the garden to the toilet. He goes out first thing when he comes out of his crate. Once he's been outside then he loves to come back to bed with you for a snooze or he wants to play !

I had a wonderful week house sitting Kip, Netty's Cockerpoo. The week flew by. I went on a different walk every day as there were so many to chose from in the area. Kip was a pleasure to look after, I shall look forward very much to going back again hopefully in the not too distant future.
