Richard was a great sitter for my dog, Willow, and Leopard Gecko, Godzilla! He was communicative ahead of the sit and we were able to make flexible changes to dates together. Richard asked to have his daughter visit during the sit which was great, as a dog lover her sent several photos of her snuggling with Willow. Overall very respectful of our home and all was well with the animals. Would welcome him back any time!

Jamie was a fantastic sitter! Before I left, we met twice to discuss my cats’ care. They had clearly read my instructions carefully and had a ton of relevant experience. During the sit, Jamie sent daily updates and pictures. I have a cat with health issues - they sent regular updates regarding his health, administered medication as needed, and checked in when they had questions. The cats clearly took to them quickly. I came back to happy and healthy pets and an apartment that was cleaner than when I left. I’d highly recommend Jamie!

Amanda and Rich are such an amazing, kind and understanding couple. Unfortunately our trip got canceled last minute, but we still invited them to stay with us, if they wanted too. And we are glad they did! We did decide to do a one night getaway to give them some alone time. Gabbie was so happy with them...she went on nice walks, had great snuggles and enjoyed spending time in her backyard with them. Charlie and I didn't worry one moment while we were gone. When we returned, Gabbie would run upstairs every morning to find her new friends. That lets us know she was well loved while we were gone. The evening they left, they had already washed the sheets/towels, re-made the bed, cleaned the bathroom and left everything perfect. We are very grateful Amanda and Rich decided to still do this sit despite us not going on travel. We met wonderful people who are now our friends. Now if we can just get them to move to Charleston :) In sum: Secure Amanda and Rich for your next sit. Your pet will be loved!

Michelle and Rob were wonderful, beyond words. We totally enjoyed spending some time with them before the 'sit'. They were relaxed, vibrant, grounded, conscientious and very responsible human beings. They were attentive to details and left the house perhaps the CLEANEST it has ever been (including when we are here). Their communication was great and the cats were very well cared for. We trusted them completely and we would not hesitate (and will reach out) to have them come again.

What can we say about this lovely family?! We had the pleasure of having Sarah, Xavier and their adult daughter Caroline take care of our 3 doxies, and home for 2 weeks while we were in Italy. We fell in love with them from our first zoom meet to the sad goodbye when we returned. We came home to happy tail wagging pups and a spic and span home. Sarah sent us updates with photos that helped to make our trip fun and worry free. We can not recommend this wonderful trio enough. You may not get lucky enough to get the 3 of them together, but even as a pair, or single sitter you can't go wrong! Thank you again Sarah, Xavier and Caroline, we can't wait to have you back!

Empty nesters who want to care for your babies
Jaci and Jerry were delightful and resilient sitters. We were off-line (in a remote area) for most of the week we were away and unable to communicate so they HAD to figure things out for themselves, and they did. On top of that, our power went out 24 hours before we returned, but they rolled with it even though I know it wasn't easy. I know the dogs were well loved and well taken care of in our absence, and the house was tidy and in order. All good!

Building Community Across the World One Pet and One House at a Time
Aaron and Angela were fantastic housesitters! They had great communication and we got wonderful photos and updates of our beloved pets every day. We have quite a little farm...a dog, lots of cats and two horses. Not only did they do a great job caring for them, they really seemed to enjoy themselves while doing it! They gave us total peace of mind while we were away so we could really relax and enjoy our vacation. They left the house very clean and tidy and all the animals were relaxed and happy upon our return. Aaron and Angela are welcome back any time!

Kendra was a great cat sitter to Genepi and she truly is a cat whisperer. Genepi usually takes 4 days to make friends with a new person but she came out and made friends with Kendra Day 1! Kendra regularly sent wonderful videos and pics of Genepi purring happily. The apartment was neat when we returned and our garden was blossoming. Would absolutely ask Kendra to sit again and highly recommend her. Thanks Kendra!!

Carole and Ron are excellent cat-sitters! They took very good care of my cat Lola and of my house. I came home to a happy cat and a very clean and tidy house. Our review is written by Steven (house owner, host + my father) + also by Kim (the daughter). Written by Kim: This was our first house sit since the passing of my mother in late Dec 2023. I was helping my father Steven (whose profile it is) manage all the emails + try + find a great house sitter + came along Gretchen’s profile! Not only is she a cool cat + someone you might want to get to know, I found myself quickly talking to her. I shortly found out her profile is just a glimpse of how interesting she is but talking to her was so much better! She is a world traveler with many experiences + stories to share. We quickly became conversationalists who could talk forever + probably will continue to do so! Thank you TH! She is easy to communicate with + continued the consistent communication all along our journey of having her as our *first* guest after my mom’s passing. It was clearly a time filled with anxiety + sensitivity so there were some sensitive topics to go over + Gretchen got it right away. A few of our rooms in the house were off-limits (as they housed my mom’s things) but we reassured her the house has ample space for her to enjoy + there are many lovely outdoor spaces to boot! When she arrived she felt she was in paradise + really relished in the outdoor beauty + the indoor coziness. We were happy to share it with someone who appreciated it so much! She also was very understanding with the fact that both my dad + I would both be involved as we both handled different parts of the stay. Me, writing + setting up the Welcome Guide + would go over the situation but then upon her arrival my dad would take over + answer any questions mostly during her sit. The good part of having 2 people is she had accessibility to us both, in the case she needed it + sometimes it came up! She juggled all the communication oh so well. My mom usually handled most of the logistics so this being our first time we were nervous something would come up we might not know but it didn’t! It was new territory for us + we wanted to make sure she had everything. Gretchen handled it all with such ease, seamlessly, really respecting our wishes/desires + taking all the information into her hands + making it seem easy on her end to do so. She was easy to coordinate schedules with! There was a gap in her 1st + 2nd sit but everything went seamlessly even when my flight had a day long delay. She was able to coordinate schedules with me arriving in between, then leaving, my dad arriving different days + us extending the trip too. It all worked out! We were all a good team! She absolutely loved our older cat, Benny + he fast + furiously fell in love with her oh so easily. When I saw him, he looked oh so loved + after saying hi to me went over to ‘her’ bed + slept there waiting for her to come back. She sent many pictures, videos + even cute creations + toys she made for our Benny + it was obvious the house + our Benny were her first priority. She even asked us if she could help prune our flowers/shrubs, something my mom used to do + honestly it was an honor to hear her ask that. She was welcome to set up her art studio + play away. She was very communicative when our house cleaner, landscape gardener + house manager showered up for different reasons. When I arrived back for a short stint before she came back the 2nd time our mail was so well organized it was an assembly line! She also offered to take down our xmas tree (as we were a bit behind in taking down our xmas decorations) + she was sensitive to the fact that we were adjusting to a new normal. Thank you so much Gretchen! You made our first sit in a long time so seamless + such a relief that we are ready now to host again. We only wish we could have more Gretchen’s! (She’s also a super talented artist!) Written by Steven: Overall, Gretchen has been an absolute treasure. She has fulfilled our goals for a house sitter perfectly - she took good care of the house, great care of our treasured pet, Mr. Benny + took care of the grounds such as watering a few plants + trees. There are not enough words in the English language to express my deepest gratitude to Teresa and all the amazing love and care she showed my sweet cat Milo. From the moment she met Milo, I knew there was going to be a very special bond. He instantly relaxed when he first met and already looked so happy and at peace with her. The bond between the two of them only seemed to get stronger and stronger with every day that I was away. This two-week trip was so important for me as it was the first real "vacation" I had taken in a few years. I was in desperate need of a mental and physical break and knew that in order to have a true "time off', I needed to feel completely at peace with Milo being well-taken care of. Well my prayers were answered as Teresa was the "cat whisperer" I was hoping for. I could not have asked for a better, more compassionate, self-reliant, and intuitive sitter ! Teresa was also so diligent in sending me her daily picture and video updates of my cat. With every picture and video I saw, I knew that Milo was so happy being with her and I never worried for one minute while I was away. What a gift ! Teresa was also a serious life-saver for me as literally an hour before I was leaving for my trip, I found out my cat's tracker app was not working and after a few emails and phone calls, we found out the tracker's server was down. Teresa took the initiative to follow up with getting the tracker to work again which was a HUGE stress-relief for me . She is not only wonderfully savvy with animals but also with technology as well ! I feel so fortunate to have Teresa in my life now, not only as an amazing sitter for Milo but also as a wonderful friend for life! Thank you, Teresa for everything.... We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.

Laura came across the country to sit for us. She arrived a day early and from the moment my pets met her our Lokie was smitten. We have one shy cat Luna and she was out and about on the first night. Laura kept us updated and shared her Adventures as well. We do live in a small hideaway of a town so seeing that she was able to enjoy herself was nice. We returned to a clean home, laundry done also, and very content pets. Lokie was sad for a few days as he missed his friend. We would recommend Laura as a sitter to anyone and would have her back again. 5 plus stars. ⭐

I whole-heartedly recommend Carly and her partner Fanny to sit for you! They were fabulous and reliable house sitters from start to finish. Carly was timely and thoughtful in all of her communications and let us know the state of affairs in our apartment with our cat and plant babies while we were away. They followed our directions to a 'T.' We came home to find a happy cat, thriving plants, a spotless apartment and laundered linens. We would definitely consider contacting them again to house sit for us!
