For us, caring for someone's precious pets and sacred space is a privilege.
Ginny & Chris are honest, reliable, friendly and relaxed people who have a genuine love of animals. When they arrived they got the usual barking welcome from Molly but within minutes she was calm and comfortable. Both our cats usually disappear when visitors arrive however they instantly took to our sitters and hung around all night. Flo is an old dog and you have to be patient with her. Ginny & Chris have experience with older dogs and were keen to know everything about her so she would be comfortable while we were away. They kept us updated while we were away with photos and little videos of our pets which was lovely and very much appreciated. Upon arriving back all our animals were healthy, happy and relaxed. The house was clean and tidy and Ginny and Chris had cooked a lovely dinner for us. If you want interesting, relaxed, friendly and reliable pet loving people then this couple totally fit the bill. We would not hesitate to have them back. Thank you for looking after our beautiful animals and home.

Florence and Robert were outstanding sitters. We asked them to arrive a day early as our guests to learn the routine on our farm. In getting to know them we found them to be good hearted, down to earth people with a love of animals and diligent in learning our routines to care for our poultry, cats and dog as well as our garden and orchard. Not a typical or easy sit. We travelled with ease knowing our critters were being well taken care of. Arriving home, the house was very clean and looked well cared for. The animals were healthy as were the garden and orchard. Out pets missed them when they left – our dog stared down the driveway after them until their car was out of sight. It is nice to find sitters we would like to hang out with and we look forward to having them sit for us again.

I am struggling with naming our top adjective to describe Michael and Jeanne. "Conscientious" will likely be it but then again, "personable," "reliable," "organised," and "animal-loving" are top contenders. If you are reading this review and contemplating inviting this couple to watch your pets, then look no further. We have had a number of excellent house sitters but this pair was next level in terms of the love they showed our cats, Maxx and Nala. When we came back, we could our animals already missed them. These cats, who have never slept with anyone other than us, were getting in bed with them each night -- and that meant climbing stairs! The day before our trip, Nala got an ear infection and had to be put on steroids for asthma. Michael and Jeanne did not sign up for that when the sit was booked but they took it in stride. In the last-minute rush, I relayed that Nala needed her oral steroids morning and night. Michael read the RX label, indicating one dose a day, and contacted the vet to clarify. So you can see why "conscientious" is right up there. They saved Nala from an overdose! We were gone three weeks and they sent us just the right amount of pictures and videos. They bought cat toys (I forgot to put ours out!) and actively engaged with them, including 20-minute massages for Maxx. I truly believed them when they said they fell in love with our fur babies. The house was spotless (which was not important to me but truly appreciated) but I smiled when all six water stations in our yard were filled. They took seriously my love for and the needs of the wildlife in our yard. Our plants were all in good condition as well. Sensing they were "next level" when I met them, I predicted they would want to leave a meal for us upon our return. I asked them not to but they found another way to bow out with class. They made a donation to a nonprofit I work with instead. This I learned from the lovely thank you note they left. I hope they will consider Charles and I friends because we certainly feel that way about them now. What special people. If you book them, treat them well because they are going to do that for you for sure.

We are thoroughly pleased with and impressed by Daniel's kind, generous, and careful care of our cat and our house. He is a committed and experienced sitter who completely understands his role and responsibilities and also how to gently win the confidence and affection of a pet. He is an excellent communicator, and he kept us regularly up to date on our cat's well being--sending us texts and photos at least once/week as we requested. Our cat who is a little afraid of new people, grew fond of him, and we have returned to a very calm, contented cat. We highly recommend Daniel, and we ourselves would be thrilled to engage him again when the need arises.

Wow! Just wow! We cannot say enough about the care and compassion Trisha and John provided to our cats and our home. We are always somewhat nervous about a new pet sitter in our home, but that all faded when we met this wonderful couple. They provided daily updates as requested, complete with pictures, videos and personalized captions. Upon our return, we were greeted by happy and content kitties. There was no sign of anxiety in Tika! Yea!!! Our home was clean, the sheets and towels were washed and bed remade! They even left behind thank you notes and little gifts! We can not exaggerate the care and love Juliet and Laurent gave to our cat, Piero, during his the last few weeks of life. While we left for our trip thinking he merely had a bladder infection, his symptoms turned for the worse a weeks into their sit and later revealed he had cancer. No one would wish their sitter to need to hospice their cat but Juliet and Laurent showed such compassion for Piero and volunteered to be with him when we made the decision to put him down. It was an emotional time for all of us and we will be forever grateful to our two caring cat and house sitters. We have had many fantastic housesitters through zeewoi but Juliet and Laurent top the list. Their professionalism, constant communication and compassion were exceptional. Should you have the opportunity to have them in your home, do not hesitate to book them, you will have no regrets. We do, however, regret that they had such a short time with Piero and had to experience such a painful event.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kathryn! I needed to extend dates for the sit after we had set it up and she was able to accommodate this so was actually here from 10/4-20. She was timely and communicative throughout - and she is a very nice person. She kept the house really tidy and followed all instructions well. My cats took to her quickly. When I returned, they had been very well cared for and seemed fully content even though I'd never left them for long before. While away, I reached out to Kathryn by text several times regarding deliveries, etc. She was very prompt in responding and adept at handling issues as they arose. Oh wow! Everyone should be so lucky to have Nicholas and Veerle watch their house and pets. These lovely people are pros! They communicated early and often, were super accommodating to some last minute changes (it was originally going to be only our cats to watch but we decided to keep the dog home as well so that added to the schedule and care needs) and they left the house spotless and all set up for another sitter who came in after them. We didn’t get the chance to meet because my departure and arrival times but I dearly hope I get to in the future because they were just great! I even heard how nice they were from My neighbors who say them out walking our dog. :-) They also sent regular pictures of the pets which look like pro-photography! Cannot recommend this couple enough! Your pets and house will be in good hands!

Gisell is amazing! I was super nervous to leave my puppy because it was our first time being away from each other and my first time using a dog sitter period but Gisell really helped ease my nerves with her updates. I have used Playful Paws Petcare multiple times to care for my sweet fur-baby. Gisell takes great care of him and he always has the best time making friend with other dogs and playing! Due to his sensitive skin and stomach issues, he needs medications administered and close eye to monitor if there are any issues to arise, which Gisell does a great job. Gizell is wonderful! She is very kind and has a beautiful, clean home and set up for keeping animals. Nice fence too! I am so happy to have chosen her to care for my 4 dogs!! Caren is the absolute best!! I hate leaving my dog with anyone because he’s been know to escape and I really can’t relax on vacation knowing this. Our family has a cat named George we love dearly. The children and I recently took a two week vacation and did not want to leave George in a boarding kennel or with friends or neighbors for that length of time. Having The Collar Club of Virginia come into our home was so much better and without a doubt I know that George was lovingly looked after. When Caren came over to meet George for the first time, he immediately took to her and she was so sweet to him. George is a cat who needs a lot of attention. Caren recognized that immediately and went right to his basket of toys. She was excellent from the start - Caren is beyond reliable, dependable and qualified. She sent us pictures of George while we were away with little notes letting us know how he was doing. She brought in our papers and adjusted the lights each day, took out our trash and even coordinated with a serviceman for some plumbing work while we were gone. When we needed help transporting 2 kittens that we had adopted online to our home from the airport, Caren helped us out enormously! Caren is such a kind person and cares endlessly for animals. We enlisted Caren to care for our golden retriever Mosby for 2.5 days. We did one over night stay and twice daily walks. Sarah and her team have been the best caretakers of our animals! We started out with one puppy and weekly walks and playdates for socialization and exercise. When we added another puppy, we added more walks and playdates. My doggies look forward to their time with Sarah, Monika and all the other excellent caregivers. I cannot say enough about Sarah Sits-N-Stays! Look no further if you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies! We have been using Sarah's company since moving to Richmond in August 2022 and couldn't be happier. My partner and I have very hectic schedules, but we have never been unable to schedule a daily walk and lunch for our dog and cat (even sometimes at the last minute!). We have also used them for overnight visits during weekends we are away. We have never been concerned and always feel safe knowing Sarah's company is taking care of them. They even send pictures and updates every day summarizing their time together. Our dog Teddy is always happy (as you can see!) and well-exercised when we get home. Even our cat, who is not much of a "people person," has warmed up to the staff. Tucker, our dog, now literally knows the word “Monika” and “friends” and he gets SO excited when it’s time for his walk and play time! Traveling for a living can be difficult at times, and having a nervous dog can make it challenging to find the right person to provide care. From the moment Marla came over for the meet & greet, she somehow calmed my timid dog with just her presence. For the first time in 7 years, my dog felt comfortable approaching a stranger within minutes and she quickly fell in love with Marla! I’ve never met another pet caregiver with such a special gift than Marla, she treated my dog as if she were her own. Marla spent time getting to know me and my dog, she was pleasant, professional, trustworthy, and made my dog feel comfortable in a new surrounding. I could tell right away that Marla loved animals, was extremly experienced, and super detailed. She took notes on each kitty and there were backup plans to the backup plans. Marla sends daily updates and it was awesome to watch the shyest cats slowly fall in love with her through daily updates! I would give a 100 out of 5 stars if I could - it’s such a relief when your away that someone who genunily cares and has a ton of experience is coming by to spoil your little munchkins.
Marla is fantastic!!! All for Cobalt was recommended to me when we were trying to figure out what to do with our kitty, Billy, while on vacation this year. I had been completely stressed thinking I was going to have to drive home several times during the week to check on him. Let me just say, Marla is the best!! She visited Billy 4 times while we were gone, made sure he was fed, had water and cleaned his box. On top of that she stayed for about 45 mins, brought him toys and catnip, AND he loved her! Billy doesn’t like people; however we got pictures and videos of him not only on his own but him right there with Marla allowing her to pet him, play with him and brush him!! I am beyond pleased and will never have anyone else come to care for him! I highly recommend Marla with All for Cobalt!
I highly recommend All for Cobalt pet care! Can't say enough good things about the care provided to our older chihuahuas, one of which requires medication and a special diet. Marla took the time to get to know them, their routine, and us prior to pet sitting. Our dogs almost immediately took to her. She provided regular updates and pictures so that we had piece of mind regarding how the dogs were doing. You can tell she really cares about animals and treated our fur babies like family!

I took my Golden Doodle for grooming at Dogs Day Inn. Jess, his groomer, is simply amazing at her job. I really didn't appreciate how talented she is until I had another groomer cut him a few months ago. Her attention to detail, technique, and ability to shape my Doodle's hair is what sets her apart from the rest. If you want a professional cut for your Doodle, call dogs day inn and schedule and appointment with Jess. I promise you will not take your dog anywhere else after you experience her expertise.
Our doggies seem to always enjoy their kennel stay at DDI. We opt for them to get a bath before pick up. Their fur is so soft with a nice fragrance.
Dogs Day Inn is the only place I trust for my dog! While they may not be the newest facility around, the staff's warmth and friendliness more than make up for it. My dog absolutely loves it here and is always happy when I pick her up. At some of the newer places, my dog has come home scared and anxious, but at Dogs Day Inn, she never wants to leave! The care and attention they provide are top-notch, and I know my dog feels safe and loved every time she’s there. If you're looking for a place where your dog will be treated like family, this is it. I can't recommend them enough!

We always board our two dogs here. They come home happy and tired from all the fun. It's the staff that keeps us coming back. The facility is not the newest or best appointed facility in town, but the people make the difference for us.
My dog absolutely loves this place. We had tried multiple other places (for boarding) and I had found that he was incredibly anxious entering and leaving all of those other places. But with Dogs Day Inn I found that Archie has been repeatedly excited to enter and is always happy and not at all anxious when he leaves. It appears that they pay close attention to each dog, and give them love and care while their owners are away! Couldn't recommend it more.

Great family oriented services. My babies get boarded and groomed here. I’ve been a customer for over 10 years and I’d dare not dream about taking them anywhere else. My dogs (Dutch Shepherd and a Yorkie) start turning in circles and whining as soon as we pull into the parking lot because of their excitement to go in! I have to tell them to stop it because it’s so annoying 🙄. It was so bad one day I had to call the owner because I was so tickled at their behavior. It’s like instant gratification for them and they know exactly where they’re at. I have recommended this place since I found it back when Paige was the owner, and now that her daughter Kris has taken over I still have the same stance! There’s no place better that I’d trust with my babies. So much so that even my mom started boarding her babies here. Great job to the team! You’ve gained a loyal customer for as long as I’m in the area!!!!

Kenny walked our dog for a year. He was a consummate professional and obvious dog lover. Our dog always looked forward to his walks with Kenny. Kenny is wonderful, and our pets adore him. He takes loving care of our dog, cat, guinea pig, and parakeets whenever we travel, which we do several times a year and often for weeks at a time. We appreciate that while he cares for our pets, he's also able to keep an eye on our house in general, watering plants, and collecting newspapers and mail. I moved to Richmond 3 years ago and was lucky enough to find Kenny Williams aka The Fan Sitter. He is extremely prompt in getting back to you. He has been responsible for taking care of my 15 year labradoodle many many times and always confirms if Tag is still taking this medication or that one. One trip, Kenny emailed me letting me know he didn't see the peanut butter Tag liked, so he went out and bought some. Kenny is conscientious and very professional. I encourage any pet owner to use The Fan Sitter!

I have used Premiere Petsitting and Dog Walking RVA 5 times and have been extremely happy with the service they provide. I always feel at ease and have “peace of mind” knowing that my 14 year old antisocial cat is well taken care of by several different pet sitters. I am always updated every day when they arrive and leave with notes as to what has been done for her and her wellbeing. Have been using Premier Pets for years and have nothing but great things to say about them. On one visit, my cat was sick and the sitter, in communication with me (in Mexico) and the the Owner, Martha Geiger, took my cat to the emergency vet after hours. Everything turned out fine.
Premiere was a great help to me with my dog EV. Their Time to Pet app is a way to keep track of visits and get a nice summary of your pet's behavior. You also get some lovely photos. The staff was always communicative and kind. I would absolutely use them again.

Martha, the professional and compassionate owner of Premiere Petsitting, assigned cat-lover Kerensa as our main sitter. As soon as she came for the meet and greet, our worries dissipated. It was such a relief not to worry how our kitties were doing - the reports we received put our minds at ease during our trip. This was the first time I've used a pet sitting service & I was a little concerned about how my cat would handle someone else taking care of him. I needn't have worried! We hired Martha and Premiere Petsitting to watch our cats while we were on a 26 day vacation. Before we left Martha came over and took notes on all the details about care and feeding of our cats and how to gain entry to our house. We received daily email updates from Premiere including photos. In addition, they watered our plants and collected the mail. We were extremely pleased and will hire them again next month. Bugsy loves going to Four Paws on Hamilton Street in Richmond! They are very kind and gentle with him when we arrive. The staff eased him into the yard during his first visit. Now, he can't wait to play with all of his new doggie friends and it seems that when it's time to go home he wants to stay longer. Since moving to the area, Four Paws has been such a gift for me and my golden. She is always eager to jump out of the car and run inside when she realizes we are heading there for daycare. It is so convenient to be able to board her there as well, with people, pets, and surroundings she is comfortable and familiar with. When it comes to our pet needs, there’s no one we trust more than the kind and helpful staff at Four Paws in the Fan 🙂
My dog Dexter has been going to Four paws fan location since he was a puppy. I love the fact that he gets to play all day, unlike some daycares that keep them caged most of the day. Dex loves it there. It’s his second favorite place to be (home is first of course). The employees are very nice, but most importantly, I like the way they treat Dexter.
I cannot say enough about how incredible the staff at Four Paws is. My sweet boy is an anxious guy and he absolutely loves going to hang out at daycare. Emma, Bailey, and Ericka have always been so welcoming and informative - we’re very grateful to have found them after moving to the area.
I have been pleasantly surprised by Four Paws! Their Hamilton St. location is just down the street from my new job. I took our Bichon, Finn, there for day care because we had just moved to the area and I wasn't sure about leaving him home all day. They took great care of him and he seemed happy at the end of the day. I also just recently used their boarding services when we went out of town for a few days. Again, they took great care of him. The staff are very friendly and genuinely love dogs. :-) I always know that Finn is in good hands there. I also appreciate their very reasonable and affordable prices. Four Paws is 100% Finn-approved! (see attached picture)

We just started here and love it! My dog, noodles, has come home so tired in the best way when I pick her up! Also love they have an indoor area for rainy days.
My pup has been going to Four Paws for almost a year now and he loves it! He only goes a twice a week for daycare, but as soon as we pull into the parking lot his tail starts going crazy and he's itching to go play with all his friends. We also board him here when we travel out of town and it gives me such a peace of mind to know that he's playing constantly when I'm gone and being cared for so well. All the staff is so kind and easy to work with!
I have taken way too long to leave this review! WE LOVE FOUR PAWS! Angus has so much fun and gets to run and play for hours on end. The first day we brought him, they managed to convince him to let them cut his nails (and charged nothing for the first time), which was 1) an amazing first impression and 2) a huge relief for a dog mom tired of wrestling with a 65 pound scaredy cat. He left that day completely tuckered out, which was beautiful. They send pictures often and give updates on how his day went whenever I come to pick him up. Such sweet humans, and a service worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Absolutely adore this doggy daycare. First, kudos to them for their required human tour. Aspens been to several doggy daycares and NEVER have I seen the inside of one. Our tour was at 10-11am, so there were already dozens of dogs there. The facilities are so beautiful, clean, and organized, AND they are staffed 24/7! I am obsessed! They are incredibly attentive to the dogs and truly seem to love their jobs. I’m very happy with my decision to move Aspen to Toby Town. They work with my crazy EMS hours on the weekend, allowing Aspen to be dropped off early for a small fee. They also have pools for the water lovers, like Aspen, which is so fun for her. I’m so happy with Toby Town and am thrilled to have found her such a caring, compassionate, and safe daycare!
Our 12 year old adapted Labrador, Bogey, loves Toby Town! Every time he comes home he can't stop talking about what a wonderful stay he had and how kind and attentive all of the staff members were to him. He loves the amenities, the indoor and outdoor play areas, the optional snacks and the overall cleanliness. Suffice to say, if Bogey is happy, we are happy with Toby Town!
Our pup has had a great time here and comes home exhausted. They offer amenities that can make your life easier (baths, etc). Place runs like a well oiled machine and go in get plenty of pics at the end of the day!
My husband and I bring our boy Murphy to Toby Town once a week. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. He always looks SO happy and as soon as he sees where we are going in the morning, he is crying out of excitement. I feel bad for the morning worker (I’m so sorry!) who grabs him because he is literally a wild man jumping out of the car to go play. Every worker is incredibly kind and really care about your dog. Tobytown is by far the BEST daycare and boarding facility in Richmond, VA. Gloria and her staff truly care about the dogs and their safety and comfort. It is the ONLY dog care facility you can walk in that does not smell AT ALL! No odor in any room or outdoor area. We leave our dog for long stays and he comes home happy and healthy. Tobytown posts lots of facebook and IG pictures to see how your dog is doing for daycare and lengthy stays. We appreciate Tobytown so much!
Best day care ever! Every single staff member works hard to cater to your dogs needs. My dog Charlie absolutely loves it. He has a little bit of separation anxiety and they care for him so well. They are friendly during pick up and drop off and they will work with you on times and days! Toby Town is kind, friendly, clean and safe for your dog. I have small dogs and was a daycare novice prior to Toby Town. With a new puppy I wanted to make sure she was socialized so I began looking at daycares for her. After visiting several facilities I chose Toby Town because it was clean, bright and seemed to be staffed with grown ups. I liked that they didn't use crates and seemed to want to meet the needs of the pups first vs the needs of the facility. Having my puppy at Toby Town has been a great experience- the staff is consistent and communicative, and I feel like they keep an eye on her (as she's only 8 lbs). Quite honestly, she is the best dog and people socialized of my pack and I feel I have Toby Town to thank for that.
Best dog daycare in the area!!! We have tried several dog boarding options, and we believe Toby town has the most personal care and is the best value for what you pay. I don’t know how they have collected so many wonderful staff members, but we enjoy all our interactions with the employees and owner!! They remember my dog Wally and talk about how it went at the end of the weekend.
The staff at Toby Town are fabulous. My pup loves spending the day or several nights at Toby Town, and I always know she'll get great care. It's a great place to take your dog for day care and boarding.
Toby Town is amazing! My dog Titan loves to go there and they take great care of him. The place is beautiful and cleaner than any human day care center!!
