Due to a family emergency, I had to leave the country earlier than I had planned, and needed a sitter to fill in the gap between my departure and another sitter. Michele responded within minutes of my posting the sit, and then we spoke and confirmed the sit within hours. Her husband, Israel, was coming from Mexico to France, while she and her kids were to come from Sweden. When Michele’s travel plans changed, and she wouldn’t be able to come with her children, she assured me that Israel would still come to look after the house and dogs. To do this, for a stay of only five days, he flew to Paris, and then to the south of France, where he rented a car and drove the rest of the way to my place. As I was already traveling, the previous sitters filled him in on the various things that needed to be tended to: caring for two dogs, tending to hens, watering 90 young olive trees daily, as well as other things. The place is big and it took me 3-4 weeks when I first moved in to figure out where things were and what to do. Israel mastered everything upon his arrival, sent me daily updates with photos of my two VERY happy dogs. In addition to all the upkeep, he managed to hike with the dogs daily. I arrived home to find everything perfectly maintained, two fit and and Israel’s guest house cleaner than it was when he arrived. Immaculate. I cannot even express my gratitude for to both Michele and Israel for such a sacrifice and commitment to do that for me. It was a very difficult time, as I was dealing with the loss of both my son and my mother. I did not worry for one second while my dogs and home were in Israel’s hands. Thank you both, so, so much. You’re welcome back anytime, with the entire family, even just for a visit, maybe just a well-deserved holiday, with no dog- or house- sitting!
Maryna was an excellent pet sitter and houseguest! Communicating with her was easy, and she always responded to my messages quickly. She was also incredibly self-sufficient! Moreover, Maryna graciously agreed to check on my neighbor's cat for a couple of days as well. My dog bonded with her quickly and was happy and healthy when I returned. The house was also spotless. I would happily have Maryna sit for me again!
Joe and Casey were very easy going and reliable. We organised the sit way in advance with a video chat and we had adequate communication leading up to the sit. We handed over the house and animals after a fairly swift explanation of everything. Being experienced sitters Joe and Casey didn't need us to over explain anything (hopefully they felt the same) and we could see very quickly that they were animal lovers. They asked us how much communication we needed whilst away and we said "no news is good news". So we received just the right amount of updates along with the most adorable photos and reassuring words about all the animals. It was clear that they quickly understood the character of each of the animals. We forgot to mention that Tipper likes to dig dirt beds around the garden which creates quite a mess and it was obvious that these were kept under control. The garden and pool were well cared for. We enjoyed a relaxing couple of weeks away knowing that the animals were being loved and the dogs definitely looked for Joe and Casey when we arrived home. Our pets, home and garden were well respected and cared for and we would not hesitate to invite Joe and Casey to sit for us again.
We loved Misty!!!! She was absolutely the most perfect baby sitter for our dog and an amazing short term tenant at our house. Not only did she keep the house clean but she even washed everything she used before we got home. We even got a couple gifts from her. She is such a sweet human, kept in contact with us while we were gone and sent videos of the hikes and walks they went on. I would 100% ask her to stay at our house again
Jo & David were absolutely amazing sitters for our house and dog Rosie while we were out of town for 2 1/2 weeks. They are the best! Jo was super communicative and responsive at all times. She and David bonded with our dog, who grew very attached to them. They left our house super clean (and there were even chocolate chip cookies for us on our return)! Most of all, they are just super nice people and very easy to work with. Anyone is lucky to have JoAnna & David housesit for them.
Care and compassion for my dogs was at the top of the list of John's attributes. He was the first sitter I have used through zeewoi that was close enough to come meet the dogs before the sit. John not only came for an initial meet and greet, but he made time to meet the pups a second time prior to my departure to better familiarize himself with both the dogs and my home. Having put the fear of God in him about Penny's reactivity (I might have been a bit over the top, but better more attentive than less!), he was cautious with her in the beginning. Later in the sit, they trooped off to the beach on multiple occasions - all good! My 10-yr-old was on some meds for a serious battle with arthritis, and John managed Cooper's needs beautifully. John even made a call and a trip to the vet to re-up Coop's prescription when it was clear he needed to continue the protocol. I received daily updates by text, including photos and video; communication is hugely important to me. I feel blessed to have had John care for my fur-babies.
Amara was a WONDERFUL sitter for our home and our dogs for the weekend. We were so comfortable with her being in our home, and she provided regular updates and photos of our babies. The house was clean upon arrival home - we would have no hesitation recommending her to others and hope she would consider coming back to spend more time with our dogs!
Christina is the best house and pet sitter that we have ever had. She leaves the house immaculate. She is independent, reliable, and totally professional. Communication is excellent. In terms of pet care, Christina is special. I think that she is a dog whisperer. Bridie, our crazy Wheaten, adores her and is sad when she leaves.
Lynn and Ray were fabulous sitters, going above and beyond to take care of our home, yard, and rambunctious pup. Leaving him for three weeks was very difficult but we felt confident once we met them. They are great communicators, very professional, capable of handling any situation, and personable. Since they are fully self-contained in their van, they arrived a day early so we could show them the place, have our dog Bailey get comfortable with them (that was immediate ☺), and get to know them over dinner together. While on our trip, they sent us daily photos of Bailey, which we really appreciated, and updates on their activities. They took him hiking almost every day and kept him well exercised. Any issues that came up (e.g., our irrigation water ran dry a couple weeks in) they communicated to us and we were able to resolve them quickly. They also harvested ripe berries and squash for us and even harvested and dried tomatoes in our dryer. We spent our entire trip feeling assured that all things were being taken care of and feel ever so grateful that we found Lynn and Ray through TH. We returned from our trip to a house that was thoroughly cleaned (better than we left it ☺), with fresh sheets on the bed, and a happy dog. Five-star sitters for sure!
Lisa was a terrific sitter for our sweet Rosie. She arrived the evening before the sit, and we immediately could tell how much love and attention Rosie was to get. She provided updates and pictures which we were delighted to read, and we could tell Rosie was happy and well-cared for with Lisa on their walks and fetching sessions, on their car rides, and during Rosie’s many daily naps. Lisa left the house in great condition, she’s very tidy and clean. Lisa’s experience with dogs and her friendly, sweet personality makes her an excellent sitter taking good care of animals while also being easy to communicate with. I would recommend her and would gladly invite her back.

My dog, Gary has been attending paws up for several weeks. Now he is a rescue dog. He has been doing wonderfully. It has helped socialize him. I couldn’t be more pleased. Looking forward to actually signing him up for some obedience classes. Also highly recommend for any of your four-footed family.
Paws Up is great. My puppy (now a 13-month-old) was understandably nervous about being dropped off in the early weeks. Since getting to know the place, she runs in with excitement when dropper off. Everyone is caring and they send daily photo shoots of the dogs playing together. It is great that they screen new dogs for compatibility and appropriate temperment to ensure that all dogs are nice and friendly.
My dog has the BEST time at daycare. He is a younger pup who is still learning good manners and boundaries. The staff and owner (Aixa) have been amazing working with him, and their communication with me has been fantastic. It really takes a village, and they understand that. You can tell how much they care about the dogs, and we all feel like part of the pack. My favorite part is that the groups are smaller and they match dogs together based on temperament. So my pup can be a in the whackadoodle group which fits his personality well.
Our English Bulldog, Charlie has been going to Paws Up for almost a year now. It makes us so happy that he has somewhere to go and play while we are at work. Not only that but the staff here really do care about all dogs, no matter their challenges. The owner, Aixa has a lot of respect for these animals and understands them. I would highly recommend signing up for some of their trainings. We plan to keep taking Charlie here for daycare weekly and doing more training in the future.
My pup LOVES this place and is always excited when he gets to go. I love that I get daily picture updates through their Facebook. The staff has always been super kind and they really work with the dogs to teach them better play manners and make sure that they're grouping the same temperament, size, personality, etc. together.
The staff is knowledgeable, caring, and always provides thoughtful updates on my dog's progression as he gets used to daycare and makes friends. Most importantly, my dog runs like a maniac to get inside and is buzzing with joy when I come to get him. He sleeps like a rock the rest of the day. I believe the staff truly understands dog behaviors and this makes for a very safe and fun experience for the dogs. I strongly recommend Paws up.
Can't speak highly enough about Paws Up. We brought our first dog (lab/shepherd mix) here until she passed and we now, we just started bringing our new puppy (Aussie) here for 1/2 days. It's so nice because they arrange the dogs into play groups based on their personalities. Our new pup always runs in the morning (and does not look back) and then comes out super tired after. It's such a relief because she gets a chance to get all of her energy out without us having to use all of ours 😂
Our dog absolutely loves it here. All the staff is well trained and do a great job of pairing dogs with others that play in the same style!
**edit: my dog is Calvin A little bummed that when I brought my puppy for his test day, they told me he was "on probation" and couldn't come back until he was better trained. Again, he is a puppy, and loves playing with other dogs, so it's a bit hard to train him to be in an environment where he's around a bunch of other dogs. He's not at all aggressive, I guess he was just too high energy for this daycare...Which I thought was a shame since he looked like he had fun in the pictures they posted of him on their Facebook.
I will always be grateful that my husband and I walked into Paws Up with my dog 3 years ago. Paws Up is a fantastic daycare. They are responsive and flexible, which has been such a blessing while I've been in school. They also really understand the dogs. My dog came in terrified of other dogs and needed time to acclimate. They took it slow everyday until eventually, my girl could rough it with the barn dogs. Even though she has made tremendous gains in the dog department, she prefers humans and Paws Up has learned to work within her personality to make sure she and the other dogs are happy and getting along. Honestly, they probably understand how to manage her quirks a lot better than I do, which is why I try to ask them what they've observed if I've seen a behavior in her I've never dealt with. I'm so grateful to this daycare, and I'm glad they like my pup, because we're sticking with them as long as they'll have us around.
I've been relying on Camino Verde for about 2 years to board my (very active) German shepherd. This place gives me the peace of mind I need when traveling. By far best kennel I have used. No frills/ no hassle. Drop off and pick up whenever you are ready. Andreas and his staff are fantastic. I highly recommend!
I love to take my dog to cvpr. The staff really cares. They take great care of my pet. Including spoiling them. I wouldn't take my dog any other place. If you're looking for a great place, you found it. They listened to all instructions on feeding and if you have medication to give them they make sure that they get their medication. And if my dog don't eat they feed her canned food.
If I could leave ZERO stars I would!!!! My dogs came back with ticks on them, yes they had their preventative the day BEFORE they were brought in. 10 bags of food were not given to my dogs!!!!! That is 6 meals for My 2 small dogs and 4 for my large dog. My dogs ALSO came back with TICKS ON THEM. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!!!! (They had preventative the day before)The place smells like cat piss. Andreas called me back, kept interrupting me when I was talking, I actually had to tell him to shut his mouth and let me talk bc he had the opportunity. VERY VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I TRUSTED you to take care of my babies. They are not dogs, these are my family. Shame on you!!!!! Irresponsible staff. Oh, and your groomer smoking a vape behind the desk? Not very professional. Never again will I be returning. Ever.
They have very accommodating staff and hours and my dog loves to go each time I drop him off. Also, the groomer does great deshedding work on my German Shepherd.
I have been going Camino Verde pet resort for almost 10 years and my experience with Camino Verde pet resort is very professional and knowing my dog colt is in good hands. I highly recommend Camino Verde pet resort.
My shepherd stayed here twice so far and I would recommend for boarding. Nice and friendly staff.
I am so grateful I found Camino Verde Pet Resort! I've been coming here for almost two years now and I will keep coming back. My dog is always taken care of and she always comes home her happy and normal self. Andreas is the best! He is friendly and welcoming and really knowledge with animals. Their prices are reasonable and fair and they have always helped accommodate me when needed. Their individual indoor/outdoor kennels is just what I was looking for my shy girl. I love knowing that my girl will be safe while I'm away. I will always recommend this place! Thank you Andreas and team for all the work you do.
I have been connected now with CVPR now for 2 years and it has been the most positive experience from Day 1. Andreas and CVPR team really knows and cares for my dog, Indy. There are different options for boarding available for your pet. So, let the team at CVPR know what you are looking for and they can help. CVPR is very responsive via email or text. They are always busy so if you call, they might not be able to answer the phone right away. Your best bet is to text/email and you will get a response back promptly. I can't imagine leaving her with anyone else when I have to board her for my work travel or vacations. I live across town and will easily make this 40 min drive to him for my dog because I know she is in good hands and gets the attention/playtime needed by folks who truly care for her well-being.
This is an update of a previous 4 star rating. We are so pleased! As my wife said, "We have our dog back!" Her point was that this was the most satisfactory grooming we've had since Bingo came home from the SPCA some two or three years ago. I cannot imagine better grooming!
I had to travel OCONUS. They took for wonderful care of our working dogs and pet dogs. All dogs were in good health and in good shape. My team and my family were very happy.
When nobody could help with our 5 big dogs and all the resources numbers called said they were full, these guys said "Yes bring them in" the owner I think name was Tim was amazing! I give them 20 stars out of 10. If you need doggy day care or overnight pet sitter go here!!!
If I could give Como 50 stars, I would! My Great Dane, Bolt, was bit on the face a year ago by another dog while at the park resulting in anxiety and reactivity when out and about. I was searching for somewhere he could re-socialize, which is how we found Como Pet Lodge. Not only is he slowly overcoming his reactivity, but he is rediscovering just how much he LOVES having doggie besties. The staff at Como are all very friendly, know every dog by name, and really take the needs of each dog into consideration. For example, my guy needs a bit of extra “nap time” a day for the sake of his joints and they have happily provided him with that necessary down time without fail. You can really tell they love and care for all the doggos. Bringing him to Como has truly been life changing, so don’t hesitate and contact them, you won’t regret it!!
My dog Buddy hops out of the car and runs up to the gate like I just took him to Disneyland. Always happy and tired upon pick up. Nice staff.
I’m so grateful to have found this place. My dog has anxiety and they know how to work with her. I highly recommend Como Pet lodge for any dog!
Tim and heather are amazing. My baby has so much fun there and they take great care of him. I love that it’s an outdoor daycare and my beagle gets to do beagle things all day long.
We had an emergency health situation and had to travel without our dog. Como Pet Lodge came to the rescue and provided a safe, attentive and fun place for our best pal while we were gone. The staff - Heather, Thomas and Tim (Owner) were there for us and gave us support beyond expectations. 5 stars is easy.
I'll add more photos next time we come, but our youngest had such an amazing first day at the pet lodge, she is so tuckered out and so happy. This facility is absolutely amazing, it's a perfect place for your dog to be able to be a dog, safe environment with tons of room to play and run, the owner is amazing and really understands dogs. We will be regulars here for sure. I 100% recommend. 🖤
I have a hard time trusting anyone for any reason, but especially when it involves my puppy, Sunny🌞. From the first time I dropped her off and every time since, I find I have found the perfect "sitter"! She loves going to daycare, and she loves the caretakers. And so do I! I recommend this doggie daycare to anyone who wants their pets well taken care of. I have no hesitation, and I have no worries while she's there.
I have a very active dog and they are wonderful with her! I love Como Pet Lodge. They let her run and play all day; she sleeps with the pack , which she prefers to a kennel. Everyone there has been super friendly to both me and my dog Ginny.
I asked the cats, and they said they loved it. They found their accommodation comfortable. They said the continental breakfast was same Ole same Ole.
Best Doggy Daycare in Tucson!! Evonne is incredible! She has watched my rescue pup for over 2 years. She not only watched him, but helped him properly socialize with other dogs, swim, and learn how to jump in the pool! But most importantly, she helped him learn to love more people! My husband and I traveled a lot living in Tucson (wedding, honeymoon, and jobs that require travel) and she’s been more than accommodating. It’s been a blessing to feel so comfortable leaving him at Waggin’ Tail Inn. We loved receiving picture updates of him having a blast! My husband and I are leaving Tucson, but when we’re back in town visiting, she’ll be our first call! Thank you, Evonne!
Evonne is the best! My dog Daisy absolutely LOVES going to daycare weekly at Waggin’ Tail Inn. Evonne sends pictures and updates throughout the day, and I fully trust my dog in her care. The dogs have plenty of toys and space, inside and outside, to run around and play. The best doggy daycare/boarding in Tucson!
We love the Waggin Tail Inn! My dog has been a regular for over 3 years for daycare and boarding. Evonne is a true professional, is able to handle dogs with different energies and sends you updates regularly. I know my dog is in good hands here, would highly recommend!
Our three dogs always enjoy their time here. We have used Evonne many times over the last several years and never experienced any problems. And we receive many pictures every day showing them having fun.
This is by far the best boarding for my high maintenance/ high anxiety dog. Evonne took such loving car of our sweet dog, he was relaxed, calm and actually gained weight there (he is terrible eater and less so without us). Evonne is knowledgeable about dog personalities, she patiently and kindly had Bodie assimilate to the other dogs. She sent tons of pictures of his stay which was so comforting for us. Having our dog with her really made our trip to Tucson even better knowing he was happy and very well taken care of!!
Can't recommend this place enough for happy and tired dogs. My dogs were regulars at Waggin Tails before I moved jobs. They all adore it there. It's such a loving and playful place. The pool is Bruins favorite. The dozens of dog beds and couches are Suka's favorite. And her lap is my little guy's favorite.
The Waggin’ Tail Inn is an absolute gem. Evonne has always been there for us and our dogs. She takes wonderful care of them and they love going to stay with her. We know they are in good hands whether it’s just for the day or if we are going out of town.
We had our two dogs stay at the Waggin' Tail Inn for two days over the weekend, and it was a fantastic experience! The owner Evonne is great, she was very friendly and explained everything to us in detail. She made sure the initial introduction of new dogs to the group worked out fine. (Introducing each dog after another helps avoid more sensitive dogs being overwhelmed) We got picture updates during the day. Both our dogs seemed to enjoy themselves a lot and were taken care of very well! Additionally, drop-off and pick-up times were very flexible, which helped a lot. Thanks again, Evonne!
My family had to go through sudden changed and we needed someone to take care of our two fur babies for 6 weeks. Evonne took amazing care of our dogs! She is very experienced and extremely responsible. We felt very comfortable leaving our babies with her. She updated us daily with super cute pictures and phrases. She was on point with their feeding schedules. Thank you Evonne so much for your kindness and amazing service. Our dogs loved staying with you! 🥰🐕🙏
My fur baby absolutely loves spending time at Evonne's home. The best part is full access to a swimming pool! My Labrador can't get enough of his water playtime. Evonne is also so responsive and understanding, and I love that she always keeps us updated with the best pictures! I'm so glad to have found the Waggin' Tail Inn.
I rarely write Google reviews unless the company goes above and beyond a standard, or provides such a unique service, that it's worthy of honorable mention to a consumer. Tamison and her team at Elevate Dog Training Center provided exceptional training during a several month boarding period of our German Shepherd, Milo. Prior to this training, we had severe anxiety and behavior issues with Milo, despite our best efforts of doing extensive research and trying multiple training methods over the first 8 months of his puppy phase. The situation became untenable at home, and our veterinarian highly recommended Elevate. We have recently received Milo back home after boarding, and I can say without a doubt, Elevate provided a foundation for working with our dog which would have been impossible to accomplish on our own. Their facility should be considered for the following: 1.) Staff/ Experience. Elevate has an experienced team of educated and certified trainers, who specialize with working breed dogs. Within the first few minutes of meeting our dog, Tamison and her team were able to accurately predict how Milo would behave, his main issues, and how long he would need for rehabilitation at the facility. During scheduled in-person visits with Milo during training, their methods were so precise, they were able to discuss ahead of time exactly how Milo would behave upon seeing us, and demonstrated accurate corrections to that behavior-- even letting us try those methods in real time. Most importantly, outside of being experienced trainers and leaders for our dog, it was evident that every single member of the staff was a dog-lover, seamlessly transitioning from their role as trainer, to giving plenty of love to our pup. We received weekly updates, to include progress reports and photos of Milo. 2.). Facilities/ schedule/ resources. Boarding prices were fair for the surrounding area, particularly comparing the size of the kennel Milo received (which included a doggy door to his own private dog run) and with how climate-controlled the facility was maintained. This was a big factor for us training Milo in the heat of the summer months. The staff was very organized with feeding and medication schedule delivery for Milo, never once having an issue. Moreover, the training facility and schedule allowed for multiple one-on-one sessions with our dog per day, to also include field trips, and interactions with other dogs (when appropriate), and free-play time. Milo received dedicated attention every single day he was boarded. 3.) Preparation/ responsiveness/ involvement with owner: Elevate enacted a training plan that simply worked-- it achieved the end result of providing a solid foundation from which to work with Milo. It worked not only because their facility has learned and implemented their methods with repetitions on numerous dogs over the years, but because they understood the work isn't over when your pup comes home. If the owner's aren't willing to do the work, the training is incomplete, and temporary at best. We were invited to several sessions with Milo prior to his release, and were also given a packet of information (homework) on how to continue the training once Milo came home. What most impressed us was the continuity of care. When we had an unsolvable issue arise during those first trying 48 hours, Tamison spoke to my wife on the phone for over 45 minutes while I was unavailable at work, helping ease her mind and provide valuable insight on Milo's behavior during the transition back home. Bottom line: Elevate came highly recommended by our veterinarian, and did not disappoint. Through a combination of boarding with highly experienced trainers, and the correct tools and methods (taught to us by Elevate) with which to co-exist with Milo back home, he is showing extreme promise, and often acts like "a gentleman", which seemed impossible several months prior. Thank you Elevate. Strongest and highest recommendation to anyone in a similar position.
I own show dogs of oriental origin, and like all orientals (Lhasas, Chows, Akitas,…) my fur babies can be a bit touchy. Further, I was a manager there for many when the Greens owned the property. At that time several policies were put in place to keep even the most difficult animals safe and happy. These policies have been abandoned and now seem to be replaced with pretty pictures over animal care! Cats run loose in the cattery! Dogs are socially isolated (think of isolation in a prison) where they can see nothing 90% of the day (including sunlight) AND while still holding contracts for the state’s dogs, they pretend to be exclusive in only allowing “friendly” animals! Extremely two faced at this point in time in both policy and practice.
Elevate Dog Center saved my dog! A year ago I was struggling with my two year old Aussie mix Blueberry. He was a perfect dog in the house but he had aggression issues towards strangers that prevented him from living a normal life. He had been turned down by vet office after vet office for aggression. Nobody could touch him. After seeing two other trainers and seeing very little progress, I had reached a breaking point. Elevate Dog Center changed our lives! They worked with us to make sure his needs were met. They helped us get him vaccinated and helped us find ways to better manage his anxiety. They helped him build relationships with NEW people, which he had never done before. Other trainers and veterinarians had told me to put him down. People are constantly complementing his behavior in public. He can meet new friends (humans and dogs). Blue lives the amazing life I always wanted him to have! If you’re at your wits end with your dog, I highly recommend giving Tamison and her team a call. They were professional from beginning to end. They produce long lasting results and always treated my boy like family (even when he was not so easy to get along with). Blue just turned three last month and I’m confident that we’ll get to spend many more years together thanks to the hard work of Elevate’s staff!
We adopted a lab that came to us with severe anxiety due to his experiences in his first year of life. Tamison and Elevate were recommended by our vet who is treating our dog’s anxiety. We started out with a few private lessons so that our dog could get comfortable at Elevate, knowing we were by his side. He loved “the cheese lady” and learning new things with her immediately. He’s finishing up his 4th week of day school and has made such incredible progress and we can really see his confidence building. Before Elevate, he was afraid of new people, new situations, etc. Now he’s made new friends (human and canine!), he can settle in the car, and he’s less stressed out when separated from us. Seeing how happy he is to go to school in the morning always starts my day off on a positive note. When we arrive, he might see other dogs or strange people, but he won’t get flustered or bark, and I know that’s because he feels safe at Elevate and that means so much to me. He goes up to the door and happily sits and waits politely to go inside and see his friends. We are so thankful to see him thriving instead of suffering due to fear and we appreciate Tamison and her team giving us the tools to improve his experiences.
Our puppy, Lenny, has had a wonderful experience at Elevate! He gets excited to be there and loves seeing all of the employees. Because of them, he is a wonderfully socialized and well-mannered companion.
Our Australian Shepherd puppy, Shooter, had a blast attending puppy day camp at Elevate. She made several puppy friends and loved all of the staff. Tamison, Tarah, Anisa and crew helped her become the best puppy possible. Now, at 7 months old, she’s confident, biddable and quite social: reflecting on the skills she learned at puppy camp.
I love how well they take care of my little man. I used to use different boarding facilities and he would never want to walk into the places again, but here he loves all staff and doesn't hesitate to go with staff. Not to mention he has indoor and outdoor access 24/7! This kid is living better than me! Staff has always been so helpful I'm so amazed by their customer service and will be forever using this facility for my little guy. It's like a second home for him.
Elevate Dog Center really came through for my wife and I over thanksgiving when we were in a pinch. After having already left Tucson on our trip, we were notified that our long time, very reliable pet sitter experienced a tragic emergency and was unable to come care for our two dogs. We were literally at the airport, between flights when we learned this and were panicked trying to think of what to do - with the dogs at home and us states away. I have been doing agility training at Elevate, so I gave them a call about boarding. Levi was amazing and was able to help us get the dogs boarded for the week, starting that same day. AND, we accomplished this all in less than 2 hours while on a lay over between flights. Our dogs were happy and well cared for and I cannot thank you all enough for helping us out through Thanksgiving!
Started our puppy at Elevate shortly after we got her and we were both trained. They had an awesome option for us to drop her off on Sundays and then pick her up Wednesdays (since our work schedule didn't allow us to get her there in the morning) . She is now a year and a half and we travel with her and she can safely be off leash and I know she will come when I call! Everyone at elevate loves dogs and you can tell they love their jobs. We also board her there and are confident in her safety.
We have boarded our dogs (sadly, now just dog) here many times, and they are FANTASTIC! If you are someone who might be put off by the location, I urge you to go take a look and meet the staff - Levi and company are the best, and our pups love them! Pro tip - make sure you pick up in the afternoon and get your fur baby a checkout bath, and you can skip the groomers!
My dogs love it here and I just love how much they do! I love it even more how happy, and tired, they are at home... They are welcomed every morning by name and can't wait to get inside! Highly recommend to anyone!
I feel secure that my dog is safe, loved and well taken care of while at Dogtopia of Tanque Verde. The staff go above and beyond in taking care of Curtis and all of the dogs. I recommend them anytime someone is looking for a a reliable doggie "play" care!"
Dogtopia is amazing! I can’t say enough great things about the staff and the services. They treat the dogs and their owners like family. I love the themed days and special activities they do for the dogs and the special treat days. They have extended hours to fit any schedule. The boarding is fantastic as well. It’s worth every penny.
I have a one year old puppy named Yote and needed to find a trustworthy place to take him for daycare and boarding. This is very important to me since my dog is like my best friend and isn’t just a dog to me. He is a very important part of my family. After doing some research I chose Dogtopia in Tucson Az on Tanque Verde. I stopped in to say hello to get a feel for the atmosphere. The person behind the desk was very polite kind and understood exactly what I was looking for. We set up a meet and greet. The meet and greet went extremely well. When I brought him in a staff member met him in the lobby. She kneeled down and to my surprise, my dog ran over and started giving her kisses. I knew right then and there this was the place for him. The staff absolutely loves dogs and if my dog could see and feel it, I was in. I started Yote on day care one day a week, then added a second day. During this time I had concerns about him being comfortable and going potty while outside of his environment. I must say, the staff is amazing! They go above and beyond. They sent me a text and called to let me know he was able to go potty and was making new friends in his class called beach. One time when I went to pick him up, I was waiting for him to come out. His coach was in the lobby. When Yote came out, I said his name and expected him to run over to me like he always does, only this time he ran to his coach and gave her kisses. Then he came over to say hi to me. Another time I picked him up, I was given a very nice report card saying he was the coaches "positive for the day" I absolutely love knowing about his day! I was so happy to know he loves his coaches very much! He is now doing overnights while we take short trips. They are very accommodating and made sure I knew to bring my dogs bed and two safe favorite toys. They also go to great lengths to make sure Yote eats and is happy and comfortable. I love it! I have now interfaced with at least five staff members as well as the Manager and assistant manager. Each of them are compassionate and love all the dogs as if they are their own. I couldn’t ask for a better, safer place to take my best friend. This experience has brought back memories and feelings of when I was taking my kids to their first daycare. What a great feeling knowing my dog is in great hands! Thank you Dogtopia, Sincerely, Yote Conrad and family
The coaches are friendly and informative. Andre loves it at Dogtopia. I have learned more about Andre behavior with other dogs from the notes and stories the staff shares with me. If anything out of the ordinary happens they are quick to communicate. There is a closer Dogtopia location to my work, but the staff makes it worth driving out of my way to take Andre there. Thank you for all you do
Highly recommended. My Sterling loves his twice a week play dates and comes home exhausted. They love him and boarding also is amazing. Absolutely love the webcam they provide so I can check on my little man.
My pup has been going to Dogtopia for a little over a month, 3 times per week. She was super shy when she first began, since then she has really come out of her shell. They have helped her socialize and feel like part of the pack. She gets plenty of exercise. The communication with staff is amazing, I can text any time of day for requests or questions. The staff has been so friendly, flexible and patient with us during our moving transition with my girl. I also love that I can check on her any time of day through the app.
Overall excellent experience. My dog is always eager to go back and be with her buddies, and then she seems energized when I pick her up.
We love Dogtopia! Our energetic puppy comes home really tired and happy, which is awesome because the two of us are retired and boring. It's especially great in the summer to have a place he can run and play that's cool!
The coaches truly love interacting with the dogs. I have to drag my little frenchie put when I pick her up. She loves to go.
Not happy to much and to little .
What a joke
Shelley, Rachel, and the entire staff here are amazing. Sasha has the best time here, but more importantly, we know she is being well cared for and spoiled rotten! Your dog will need to be evaluated before any training or boarding, but they really are the best in Tucson. They fill up fast, and you will need to make reservations well in advance.
We got a new puppy in April. He had no training at all, Pacc told us he was a stray living on the street. I told my husband we have to get him training. We started training at a local place but they suggested Sol Dog Lodge. We are so happy we did training with them. Robby is a new dog in just a week. Katherine was his trainer. She was so kind to us, every step of the way. Also, she was kind to Robby. We have continued the training with Robby and he is doing well. We haven't tested him around other dogs yet but we will. He likes to bark at other dogs and we don't want him to do that. We want him to just walk by them like another dog is no big deal. Thank you Katherine, we appreciate you and are grateful you trained Robby, we love him.
We can't speak highly enough about our Sol Dog experience and trainer, Francesca, at the Thornydale location. We adopted a large mixed breed puppy and wanted him to be socialized and easy to handle as he grew. Francesca is the magical dog whisperer. We have taken classes, done play groups and private training all thru Sol Lodge. While I know she is really training me, and I the pet parent am a work in progress, my big pup loves going to Sol Dog. And we are soooo excited for their 2025 new facility opening on the NW side.
I really cannot say enough great things about Sol Dog. They offer a variety of services, and even board/train special case dogs from PACC. I discovered them back in the summer when I needed some help with one of my dogs who was reactive to other dogs. I took Mabel there for 4-days of day training, and Terra was just wonderful with her. Not only did Mabel learn and grow in just 4-days, Terra gave me very useful tips to bring home that have helped me to continue to work on Mabel's reactivity. Mabel is now able to easily interact with other dogs and attends their day camp several times a month in order to ensure she has opportunities to socialize. She always comes home exhausted from her play day, and she's getting better and better with her interaction skills!! Nicole and Anisa always find time to talk with me each time I pick up Mabel in order to let me know how she did that day. They are both wonderful with her. There is also a groomer on their site ....Becky's Pet Parlor...and I have to say that Becky is a freakin' dog whisperer. In addition to Mabel, I also have a senior Chiweenie/Jack Russell 11lb 'handful'. Bernie will NOT let anyone touch his tiny toes except for me....and it has taken me many months of just slowly and gently massaging/touching his feet for him to even tolerate me. He is a rescue so I'm not sure what is history is, but man ....stay away from the dude's feet because he goes into full on melt-down mode when it's time for a nail trim. Except ...not with Becky....he is a little gentleman for her. She began very slowly at first with another person helping hold him, and he allowed her to use a dremel for a short period of time the first day. She's done his nails several times now, and he just loves her. You will not go wrong by choosing Sol Dog ....I highly recommend them.
Sol Dog Lodge is simply the best in Tucson for boarding and training. Our rescue mini-aussie, Prudence, was in need of socialization after being abandoned in a breeders backyard with her sister for her first year. Sol Dog Lodge has been phenomenal in helping us with this process. From organized training, to Sunday Pack-walks, to overnight boarding, they have shown the professional knowledge and emotional empathy to help Prudence assimilate with her canine companions (see photo) and human encounters. We recommend Sol Dog Lodge to anyone interested in top-notch dog training and boarding.
We love love love LOVE Sol Dog! And, as you can see in the picture, our big baby huey GSD loves it there, too. It's not just the availability of daycamp and boarding, but it's also the knowledgeable staff. They love dogs and understand dogs and I feel like our dog gets the best possible environment -- caring humans, freedom to have crazy play time, but still an expectation of 'polite' dog behavior and an adherence to his training. This isn't a place with dogs running amok; it's a place where they are encouraged and able to be their best doggy selves. Which sounds hokey, I know, but it's true! They offer a whole host of "enrichment" activities, including walks, walks on the treadmill, etc. and are truly a large step up from your average "boarding" experience. Sol Dog makes an actual positive impact in our lives by the services they offer because I know our dog is happy there any of the times I've had to board him (either for the day or for extended visits) and that makes travelling, home renovation, etc. so much less stressful. And "doggy day camp" is a real plus. Our dog is short on doggy friends near our home and Sol Dog's day camp is such a better experience for him than the times we've tried dog parks for play time. The staff is professional, friendly, quick to communicate, and is a true blessing for any dog owner.
I never worry when I drop my dog off at Sol Dog. She is so excited when she gets there and is always a happy dog when I pick her up. We’ve done some great training there, too! My only wish is that they had more space! Some day.
It's 102°F outside and I'm sitting in the Marana Home Depot parking lot behind a Sol Dog Lodge van. A staff member wearing the Sol Dog Lodge t-shirt took a large dog that looked like a pit mix out of the van and proceeded to walk him/her around on the asphalt parking lot at 3 PM. I could clearly see the dog lifting it's paws awkwardly as if it were in pain. Some other lady was walking near them in the parking lot with a German shepherd with a green muzzle on, who was also lifting his/her legs frantically and trying to lay down. Idk, just seems like they should have shoes on. Or walk them somewhere else. "For all dogs and the people who love them" ...
I want to share how pleased I was with Caitlyn's grooming on my toy golden doodle. I absolutely love the cut she gave Piper and I've never seen her coat so WHITE and beautiful! Thank you so much! I know Piper has anxiety when she goes to the groomer, but she seemed fairly relaxed after I picked her up. I think she enjoyed her time there!
Our new rescue was very reactive & energetic and had little training. After working with other trainers we were getting to a point that she may have to go back to the shelter. She was just to much! Thankfully, another trainer recommended Sol Dog. We are so thankful! Francesca at the Thornydale location has been great, really patient, helpful, & knowledgeable. We recently took Marley to Home Depot for a training session and she has come so far. She was like a different dog, calm, not reactive, not afraid, friendly & very curious. We are so grateful!!
Howling Success is EXACTLY that. This is THE place to board your dog if you are seeking a comfortable natural home environment with a experienced, knowledgeable, affordable, kind provider. Kristine Berg is wonderful and helped care for my miniature poodle mix ( named Joy) when I was “in a pinch” and I will definitely return when I need to board Joy again. The short drive through the Saguaro Desert region is a bonus. Give Kristine a call and she’ll respond promptly.
This was the first time our 1.5 yr old pup Levon was away from us since he was 8 weeks old. We did a lot of research of different facilities in the Tucson area and Kristine stood out to us from the start. Her professionalism and experience is impressive. We weren’t sure how Levon would react being away from us at night and while he exhibited some anxiety Kristine was able to make him comfortable and settle down. We are grateful that we found a safe and caring place to take care of our pup when we travel. We highly recommend Howling Success!
Howling Success is truly a gem in the Sonoran Desert! We had never left our two year old Mini Australian Shepherd before, and were very nervous about it. After touring a couple of traditional kennels unimpressed, we were lucky enough to be referred to Kristine and Howling Success. The drive from Tucson is easy and scenic, the ranch is beautiful, clean and maintained with pride. Kristine only takes the best dogs, so we knew ours would be in good company. We were sent reassuring photos, videos, and updates throughout our pup's week long stay, which put our mind at ease and allowed us to enjoy our vacation without worry. We weren't even missed, she was so busy playing, swimming, and resting. When we picked her up, she was even better behaved than usual, as Kristine kindly did some training with her as well. The pricing was very reasonable, and well worth every penny. We will certainly use Howling Success again and highly recommend them to other picky and protective dog parents!
We were traveling through Tuscon and needed a dog sitter while we stayed at a dog free hotel. Kristine was recommended to me, she was easy to talk to, fast and responsive in scheduling. My Jack Russell took to her right and away and in no time I got a video from her of my dog playing with the other dogs. It really was a success!
Kris watched our dog, Hilda, for a week and we couldn’t have had a better experience. It was our first time leaving her since we adopted her, and she had a blast. Kris sent us pictures and updates of all the cool things Hilda was doing with her new friends. I only wish we were staying in the area so that Kris could watch Hilda anytime we need to go out of town without her – we’ll be sure to bring her back whenever we are in Tucson next!
We were very impressed meeting the owner, Kristine Berg, for the very first time last week. Her home is beautiful and very welcoming for us and our Airedale Terrier, Jackie. We are so grateful to find a place to take care of our Jackie for daycare and traveling where she doesn’t have to be crated and left alone at night. Instead, she is part of the family and stays right in her home. We brought Jackie for her first daycare visit last week and she loved it. The prices are very, very reasonable and makes our lives much less stressful when we travel. Please check out her website for more details howlingsuccess.com.
So happy we found Kristine!! She is so friendly and our pug babies loved her right away. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and makes them feel like they are at home. She sent us pics throughout the day while updating us on how they were doing. They got to spend their day playing with Kristine and her furbabies, not locked up in a crate or small play room. Her rates are very fair. No extra charges for playtime, petting or potty times. She really cares for the well being of your dog and it shows thru their happy faces. Can't wait to take them back for more fun!!
Great experience first time boarding my boy, Felt comfortable right from the beginning and all the dogs were well behaved. Safe, clean environment. Highly recommend.
Kris helped me in Panama. Did puppy class × 2 dogs.Awesome. boarded pups x2 and they loved it. She saved me and my Blue when denied transport to US via COPA airlines at last minute . knew all regulations and reunited us. I used what she taught me with my new rescue/abused pup and it is working . she is amazing!!
Kris is the absolute best. I have a nervous dog and Kris is the only person who I'd ever trust to leave him with. She is so good with dogs and always sends me pictures of our pup while we're away. Seriously cannot recommend enough!
I really can not say enough good things about this Dogtopia. The staff are friendly and caring. They really watch my dog's behavior and adjust things to make it a better experience for him. Every time I bring him in he's happy to see the …
This place is the best! Our dog gets extremely excited on her way to Dogtopia and they take great care of her. Transparent pricing, good communication from staff and great flexibility with scheduling are just a few of the things that make this place a 10/10.
We love Dogtopia Oro Valley!! The staff is so awesome, friendly, and good to my fur baby Tucker. He is high energy and loves to speak his mind constantly. 🤣 They are so patient with him and his quirks. I love the ease and convenience of being able to schedule in the app. I also love that I am able to reach out to staff same day when I forget to sign Tucker up for activities & treats. I love the social media updates on Instagram and all the activities/themes they do. I can’t recommend the Oro Valley Dogtopia enough!!
We love the positive attitude towards both dogs and owners shown by Dogtopia staff, and the ease of communication via text, email, and their website. When is too hot to spend much time outside, Dogtopia is a great place for dogs to get some exercise and play time.
The service we receive is truly exceptional. We have a 1yo border collie mix (rescue) who is - well, a velociraptor in dog form. A sweet and cuddly, but very anxious and energetic velociraptor. We truthfully got in over our heads with Blue Bear, but didn’t want to give up on him because he is part of our family. Our trainer suggested doggie day care and so we decided to give Dogtopia a try. I can’t really say enough - the facility is always clean, the team is professional, friendly, and so very genuinely caring. Pricing is up front and very easy to understand, their app is super convenient and then they have a text service which is consistently reliable and informative. While Blue Bear is always enthusiastic to come home at the end of the day - we can tell he is genuinely loved and cared for, and gets excited to see his carers. He gets fun themed photo shoots every month, and even got to be featured in his Halloween costume in a video. Getting to see him at ease and so happy makes my heart happy. Just one example of their continual attention to detail - we recently achieved Gold level because of our frequency, and he came home tonight with a special customized gold colored tag added to his collar with his status. We are so very thankful for Dogtopia, because they have aided so much in his success story.
I daycare my puppy at Dogtopia this absolutely clean and all employees are exceptional and treat my puppy as if they were family giving all dogs lots of love. Not to mention the treats and awesome activities Dogtopia has monthly. I rate Dogtopia 10-10. I highly recommend to anyone interested in daycare or on boarding to choose Dogtopia. Your dog will absolutely love the experience they will have at Dogtopia. ❤️🐶🐾🐾
Love Dogtopia! My dog loves the days he goes there. I can hardly keep him in the car long enough to stop! Its always well maintained, the dogs are well cared for, the staff is fantastic. The boarding is also great. Highly recommend.
Our experience at Dogtopia OV has been excellent. The staff are so friendly, professional, and reassuring that our young boxer Riley is happy in their care.
The workers are fantastic with the dogs! you can truly see how caring they are. Our dog Peaches can hardly wait to go every week. Oh and everything is very clean.
Dogtopia of Oro Valley has great dog lovers. We took our Lab there (top dog status) for 9 months. We finally had to discontinue because he came home sick and with skin rashes each time. I can’t recommend this place if you care for your dog. Our Vet bills exceeded $5000 during the time we took him there. Caution.
