Giselle is such a sweet and loving person! She loves and cares for our fur babies just like they are her own! Giselle kept my Dog Elijah for 5 days and kept me informed on how he was doing daily with pictures and text messages. I have used Playful Paws Petcare multiple times to care for my sweet fur-baby. Gisell takes great care of him and he always has the best time making friend with other dogs and playing! Due to his sensitive skin and stomach issues, he needs medications administered and close eye to monitor if there are any issues to arise, which Gisell does a great job. I always receive updates and photos of my pup! I highly recommend using Playful Paws Petcare!!!

Gizell is wonderful! She is very kind and has a beautiful, clean home and set up for keeping animals. Nice fence too! I am so happy to have chosen her to care for my 4 dogs!! She handled that crew well, no doubt! She kept in touch every day sending pictures or videos, which was fun for me to see. During my trip I felt very confident that my dogs were safe and happy! Sarah and her team have been the best caretakers of our animals! We started out with one puppy and weekly walks and playdates for socialization and exercise. When we added another puppy, we added more walks and playdates. My doggies look forward to their time with Sarah, Monika and all the other excellent caregivers. I cannot say enough about Sarah Sits-N-Stays! Look no further if you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies! We have been using Sarah's company since moving to Richmond in August 2022 and couldn't be happier. My partner and I have very hectic schedules, but we have never been unable to schedule a daily walk and lunch for our dog and cat (even sometimes at the last minute!). We have also used them for overnight visits during weekends we are away. We have never been concerned and always feel safe knowing Sarah's company is taking care of them. They even send pictures and updates every day summarizing their time together. Our dog Teddy is always happy (as you can see!) and well-exercised when we get home. Even our cat, who is not much of a "people person," has warmed up to the staff. We have had nothing but good experiences with all the walkers/sitters, but I would like to give a special shoutout to Madi who is our main walker. She is AMAZING and Teddy absolutely LOVES her! Seriously... look no further if you need a walker or sitter!

Sarah made sure my dog was paired with walkers who are comfortable with an energetic, young dog and my dog has gained so much confidence through her daily walks. Sarah is organized and attentive—each walker sends an update and usually a picture of Pippa during walks/playtime. Everybody even gives my cat some love too! I highly recommend!

Finding Sarah Sits-N-Stays after moving to Richmond has been such a blessing for our little family! Our sitters have been so patient and understanding with our reactive dog, and always have great communication with us when we are out of town/when they are walking our dog. Tucker, our dog, now literally knows the word “Monika” and “friends” and he gets SO excited when it’s time for his walk and play time! He knows the time and day and gets so happy when it’s closer to pick up. He always comes back tired, and if you have a hyper dog like we do, you know how crucial that is for your own sanity. They do such a good job of taking care of him and prioritize safety. They are also very flexible, when Tucker was having some stomach issues, they totally understood we needed to cancel. We started with Sarah Sits-N-Stays during the pandemic, figuring at least one person in our family should socialize. Since then, our doggo has had wonderful adventures every week and is SO excited to see the kind, capable folks who take him along. We're not too big on dogparks so Sarah Sits-N-Stays has keep our dog in the mix with other pups without stressing him (or me) out. I trust the team and love the updates they pass along after every visit. They definitely treat our pup with kindness and he couldn't be happier when he sees them. From the moment Marla came over for the meet & greet, she somehow calmed my timid dog with just her presence. The best and most reliable pet sitter we've ever worked with! Marla has watched our 5 cats a few times now. We always come home to find them and our house in great shape. We can’t recomend All For Cobalt highly enough! I was nervous about traveling but when we met I knew my 4 cats were in great hands. I could tell right away that Marla loved animals, was extremly experienced, and super detailed. She took notes on each kitty and there were backup plans to the backup plans. Marla sends daily updates and it was awesome to watch the shyest cats slowly fall in love with her through daily updates! I would give a 100 out of 5 stars if I could - it’s such a relief when your away that someone who genunily cares and has a ton of experience is coming by to spoil your little munchkins.

Marla is fantastic!!! All for Cobalt was recommended to me when we were trying to figure out what to do with our kitty, Billy, while on vacation this year. I had been completely stressed thinking I was going to have to drive home several times during the week to check on him. Let me just say, Marla is the best!! She visited Billy 4 times while we were gone, made sure he was fed, had water and cleaned his box. On top of that she stayed for about 45 mins, brought him toys and catnip, AND he loved her! Billy doesn’t like people; however we got pictures and videos of him not only on his own but him right there with Marla allowing her to pet him, play with him and brush him!! I am beyond pleased and will never have anyone else come to care for him! I highly recommend Marla with All for Cobalt!

I highly recommend All for Cobalt pet care! Can't say enough good things about the care provided to our older chihuahuas, one of which requires medication and a special diet. Marla took the time to get to know them, their routine, and us prior to pet sitting. Our dogs almost immediately took to her. She provided regular updates and pictures so that we had piece of mind regarding how the dogs were doing. You can tell she really cares about animals and treated our fur babies like family!

GREAT experience! Caren walked our rambunctious puppy while we were out of town and he LOVED it!! I think he’s better behaved now than when we left:-)! Our family has a cat named George we love dearly. The children and I recently took a two week vacation and did not want to leave George in a boarding kennel or with friends or neighbors for that length of time. Having The Collar Club of Virginia come into our home was so much better and without a doubt I know that George was lovingly looked after. When Caren came over to meet George for the first time, he immediately took to her and she was so sweet to him. George is a cat who needs a lot of attention. Caren recognized that immediately and went right to his basket of toys. She was excellent from the start - Caren is beyond reliable, dependable and qualified. She sent us pictures of George while we were away with little notes letting us know how he was doing. She brought in our papers and adjusted the lights each day, took out our trash and even coordinated with a serviceman for some plumbing work while we were gone. Our home looked exactly the same as it did before we left it. Caren is the consummate professional but with the biggest heart for animals. I highly recommend The Collar Club of Virginia! When we needed help transporting 2 kittens that we had adopted online to our home from the airport, Caren helped us out enormously! Caren is a professional. Absolutely reliable - she goes above and beyond. My 16 year old kitty takes insulin shots twice a day and requires extra TLC. Caren handled this with ease. Caren is such a kind person and cares endlessly for animals. We enlisted Caren to care for our golden retriever Mosby for 2.5 days. We did one over night stay and twice daily walks. She constantly updated us with photos and comments on what he was up to. From the moment I first spoke to someone on the phone to the day I picked him up, I've never felt more comfortable and safe leaving my sweet Dobby dog with at a doggie hotel! I took my Golden Doodle for grooming at Dogs Day Inn. Jess, his groomer, is simply amazing at her job. I really didn't appreciate how talented she is until I had another groomer cut him a few months ago. Her attention to detail, technique, and ability to shape my Doodle's hair is what sets her apart from the rest. If you want a professional cut for your Doodle, call dogs day inn and schedule and appointment with Jess. I promise you will not take your dog anywhere else after you experience her expertise.

Dogs Day Inn is the only place I trust for my dog! While they may not be the newest facility around, the staff's warmth and friendliness more than make up for it. My dog absolutely loves it here and is always happy when I pick her up. At some of the newer places, my dog has come home scared and anxious, but at Dogs Day Inn, she never wants to leave! The care and attention they provide are top-notch, and I know my dog feels safe and loved every time she’s there. If you're looking for a place where your dog will be treated like family, this is it. I can't recommend them enough!

We always board our two dogs here. They come home happy and tired from all the fun. It's the staff that keeps us coming back. The facility is not the newest or best appointed facility in town, but the people make the difference for us.

My dog absolutely loves this place. We had tried multiple other places (for boarding) and I had found that he was incredibly anxious entering and leaving all of those other places. But with Dogs Day Inn I found that Archie has been repeatedly excited to enter and is always happy and not at all anxious when he leaves. It appears that they pay close attention to each dog, and give them love and care while their owners are away! Couldn't recommend it more.

Our doggies seem to always enjoy their kennel stay at DDI. We opt for them to get a bath before pick up. Their fur is so soft with a nice fragrance.

Great family oriented services. My babies get boarded and groomed here. I’ve been a customer for over 10 years and I’d dare not dream about taking them anywhere else. My dogs (Dutch Shepherd and a Yorkie) start turning in circles and whining as soon as we pull into the parking lot because of their excitement to go in! I have to tell them to stop it because it’s so annoying 🙄. It was so bad one day I had to call the owner because I was so tickled at their behavior. It’s like instant gratification for them and they know exactly where they’re at. I have recommended this place since I found it back when Paige was the owner, and now that her daughter Kris has taken over I still have the same stance! There’s no place better that I’d trust with my babies. So much so that even my mom started boarding her babies here. Great job to the team! You’ve gained a loyal customer for as long as I’m in the area!!!!

This five star review is for the groomer at Pets at Play (can’t speak to daycare or boarding, as I’ve never done either). I have a 9 year old doodle and trust me, finding a groomer who is not only willing to groom your doodle but also does it well and with a good attitude (many get annoyed) is rare. I always leave happy! He does a great job and in my experience $100 for ~the works~ is affordable. So glad to have found him!

Our little dog loves boarding here. She plays with her little dog friends and gets meals on time. Grooming here is first rate. We bring her in every six weeks. There's a new groomer and he's great

My dog loves Pets at Play! I have been taking Ollie to Pets at Play for daycare, overnight boarding and grooming for over a year now. He is a sweet but sensitive dog. Pets at Play is the only dog boarding and grooming place in RVA that he enjoys going to and being at. The groomer is always very thoughtful about grooming Ollie the way I like. She called me before she groomed Ollie just to confirm she knew what I wanted from his cut. Very blessed to have Pets at Play in our lives

When I tell you my baby loves this place!!! He is a mamma's boy, if he doesn't know you he will not go near you. BUT when we come to Pets at Play he runs right through the door to the day care and grooming! He comes home tired from day care so I know he is playing and having fun!!

Only been here a few times but I am now a loyal customer! They must be doing something right, because now every time I walk my dog he tries to pull me in the direction of Pets At Play. He is so ecstatic every time we go, I am starting to bring him there just for fun in addition to out of necessity! Do note: if your dog is over 70 lbs they won’t be able to be boarded overnight due to kennel sizes, but they do wonderfully accommodating larger dogs in daycare! My pup loves Pets At Play!

Came here for their grooming services and was not disappointed! They were polite and informative when I called with questions and were super friendly in person. And they made my pup adorable! Will definitely return for future grooming services and daycare services.

My westie,, Tucker loves this place to play. I think he has a girlfriend there. They are kind, courteous and true animal lovers. This is the only place he’ll play with other dogs as he never plays outside my home with any other dogs male or female.

I booked grooming for my dog a month ago and was very clear (in writing) about his large size (~100 pounds) - they even said it was fine in writing. I drove 40 minutes to get there and as soon as I was pulling into my neighborhood after drop off, the groomer called to say that my dog was too heavy to fit on the table/a leg of the table was breaking. He made sure to mention that it was not my dog's fault at all/he was fine. He said he has been trying to get new equipment for grooming from management but they're refusing. What type of table doesn't hold 100 pounds? I drove for 2 hours total between 7:00am and 9:00am all because they couldn't provide the groomer the correct equipment to provide grooming services to my dog. It's not his fault in my opinion, but if he knew that size would be an issue, they should have let me know well in advance, as I had booked it a month ago. My dog used to go to Pets at Play about two years ago and there were not issues then (and he was around the same weight). Very disappointed in the lack of communication and lack of resources to provide grooming services. A word of advice to management: do not advertise grooming for dogs of all sizes/approve grooming for larger dogs if you cannot actually do it.

We used to be faithful Pets at Play customers for over 3 1/2 years, having taken our 4 year old since she was a puppy, and our 6 month old for a solid year at least two days a week for each. Over that time, we’ve provided them thousands of dollars in revenue, somewhere around $8k-$9k between daycare, baths and the occasional boarding. In March of 2019, we sent our older dog in for her regular daycare appointment and requested she get a bath and her nails trimmed. When we got her home, we noticed she was licking her paw quite a bit and saw one of her nails was badly damaged, split, and beginning to ooze pus. No one at Pets at Play called or told us her nail was damaged, even though they said her nails were cut. We emailed the owner with our concerns and received a call back from an employee, who specifically told me she was calling as to not cause any confusion, but they could not get their story straight. To me, it sounds like they didn’t want a paper trail of any potential responsibility. One person said the nails were cut, then the groomer said they did not need to be cut. If the nails got cut, why did no one tell us they damaged her nail? If they did not need to get cut, that obviously means you checked them all, right? And if you saw one was damaged, why were we never told? Whatever the case, our dog went to daycare just fine, but left with a badly damaged nail which required sedation and surgery the next day to the tune of $275 in vet bills. Whether our dog’s nails were cut, Pets at Play was negligent at best, and deceptive at worst in trying to conceal or claim ignorance of her injury. Finally, to add insult to injury (literally), I went into their online system that weekend to cancel the next two daycare reservations (because our dog needed to be at home to recover from surgery), and they had deleted all of her reservations for the next year without telling us. I never said anything to them, so why would they delete our standing reservations? It doesn’t seem like a good business practice to alienate loyal customers as we have been for years. The way Pets at Play treated our dog, my wife and me is no way to treat loyal customers. We’ve always enjoyed taking our dogs to Pets at Play for daycare and boarding, but I no longer have any faith in how they treat us or our dogs. We will not be returning, nor can I recommend their services.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful PETs at PLAY is! Dixie knows when I say "want to go see your friends" exactly where she is going and doesn't even look back when we hit the door! That is how I know, PETs at PLAY is the absolute BEST. Dixie has only ever stayed the night in her entire 11 years with my parents, PETs at PLAY and me. I LOVE the emailed pictures throughout the day of her literally smiling and having fun! I am particular because she is such an important part of my life and choosing a daycare and place to board seemed impossible until we experienced PETs at PLAY. Dixie's excitement when talking about, going to and spending time here is exactly why PETs at PLAY will be the only place we go!

I have used the services of Kim and Bow Wow Kitty for many years and have always been thrilled with the quality of care she (and her team) have provided. Everything from walking and feeding our dogs to spending quality time with them, sending reassuring text and photos throughout our time away from home, etc. I have always been able to rely on Kim's attention to detail and know my dogs are in good hands when we are not at home. I highly recommend Bow Wow Kitty to anyone who asks.

I had a new puppy and did not feel comfortable leaving him just anywhere while I worked. Bow Wow Kitty is wonderful. Kim, the owner, loves all animals and knows how to work with them in a positive manner. I feel she not only looks after my puppy (River) but has also helped me train him. River gets so excited when I pull up to her home. She takes him on play dates with other dogs, sends me photos throughout the day, and gives me advice when I ask. Kenny walked our dog for a year. He was a consummate professional and obvious dog lover. Our dog always looked forward to his walks with Kenny. My wife and I could rest easy at work knowing Kenny would be taking care of him while we were away. He was easy to work with and always clear and concise in his communications with us. Kenny is wonderful, and our pets adore him. He takes loving care of our dog, cat, guinea pig, and parakeets whenever we travel, which we do several times a year and often for weeks at a time. We appreciate that while he cares for our pets, he's also able to keep an eye on our house in general, watering plants, and collecting newspapers and mail. Kenny is very reliable, and responds promptly when we e-mail him from our travels. We and our pets are very satisfied Fan Sitter customers!

I moved to Richmond 3 years ago and was lucky enough to find Kenny Williams aka The Fan Sitter. He is extremely prompt in getting back to you. He has been responsible for taking care of my 15 year labradoodle many many times and always confirms if Tag is still taking this medication or that one. One trip, Kenny emailed me letting me know he didn't see the peanut butter Tag liked, so he went out and bought some. Kenny is conscientious and very professional. Haley is the absolute best pet sitter that we could ask for! She genuinely cares for our dogs, even despite their barky nature. So many amazing things to say about Haley. We have used her twice for overnight stays with our 2 rescue dogs. First of all the communication before and during is effortless. She texts almost immediately if we have questions or if we are just checking in. Also, she is very prompt. If she says she will arrive at 3 pm she will be there. I was a little nervous using her the first time just because we had never left our pets with anyone other than family. We went away this past weekend overnight and she stayed with our pups and I had zero worries and knew that I could text or call at anytime. Both of our dogs love her and she always sends us adorable pictures. I would not use anyone else. We have several upcoming weekend getaways coming up in the Spring and we will definitely use Haley. We feel so blessed that we found someone that truly loves what she does and it shows!

Haley has cared for my dog Calvin for nearly four years now, and she is wonderful. He adores her and we think of her as part of the family. He has canine epilepsy, and though it has been well- controlled for a couple years now (fingers crossed), he has a somewhat complex food and medication regimen, but Haley is always on top of it and is more than capable of handling it. She has done both drop-in visits and overnight house/dog sitting for us, and she takes wonderful care of everything. She is a "natural" with animals and I absolutely recommend her.

I cannot say enough great things about this business! I reached out to Haley to check in on my cat while I was out of town, and I do not regret it one but. She responded to my inquiry very quickly and was easy to chat and schedule with- we even scheduled a meet and greet for her and my cat. She was thorough and thoughtful in asking questions- she even cleaned up when my cat dumped her litter box over, lol. Haley took great care of my cat and I will definitely choose All Animal Care and Pet Sitting the next time I go out of town.

Oh my gosh.....where do I even start on Haley?! Is there a way to leave more than 5 stars? Let me start by saying I was impressed when she didn't run off after meeting with me.....I think I may be one of the worst helicopter fur-moms and the pickiest about my animals care, in the world. That being said, it is hard for me to even explain how grateful we are to have found her and have her in ours/our animals lives! She is so knowledgeable and understanding, and goes above and beyond every single time. Our animals, who sometimes take a while to come around, took to her instantly and are familiar with her face now and look forward to when they get to see her. I think when we came back from a trip, they were more sad that she had left. She remembers every little detail and for someone that gets so beyond stressed leaving their animals, that is so, so helpful! She checks in on our animals (one of them has some life threatening health issues) when she doesn't have to, and knows the way we want everything, every time. I used to not be able to leave without writing a book of instructions and being panicked the entire time I was away...and even with all the things our animals require and everything she has to remember, she still finds time to send pictures, give additional updates and go the extra mile for us and our pets without us even asking. I cannot explain the gift this girl has for this or put into words how much I recommend her. She has been a blessing to us and we are so thankful for her every time. If you want the best care for your animals, and I mean the best, do not consider anyone but Haley!

We recently boarded our six-year-old Mini golden doodle and five month old Mini Bernad doodle. Needless to say they had the absolute best time! We received daily photos of all the dogs playing. Highly recommend!

Our normal boarder was unavailable and we were referred to Pawsitively Purr-fect through the grapevine. Our dog loves other dogs but has been reactive with some other boarders, so finding a new option at the last minute was a challenge. Jacki & JR were the best we’ve worked with, no contest, and have become our new go-to for boarding & daycare. They checked his veterinary records, showed us their home setup (which was a substantial improvement compared to our previous boarder), trialed him through daycare for a couple of days, and then kept him for a full week. They kept up his requested diet, gave him plenty of playtime and rest, and sent plenty of photos and necessary updates throughout his stay. We went for boarding in a pinch and left as new clients excited to bring him back for daycare. I cannot recommend Pawsitively Purr-fect highly enough. Don’t hesitate, just go.

Not only is the owner Jacki so, so sweet and was willing to answer any and all questions I had without hesitation, but they also take the time out of their day to send photos frequently of your pets for you to see what a great time they’re having! My pup has come home happy and worn out every time she has stayed for daycare. I oftentimes feel like she misses it on the days she doesn’t go! 😂. We haven’t boarded with them yet, but have a couple of trips lined up for the summer and have full faith that Jacki and her crew will take great care of our fur baby. 10/10 recommend!

We finally found a daycare/boarding place that we can give 5 stars to! Jax absolutely LOVES going to Jackie's! As soon as we turn on her street, he is pacing the car, ready to get out and go play with his friends! Jax barks at everyone but when Jacki or JR come to the car to get him, no barking! He eagerly jumps in their arms, ready to go! The photos sent twice daily is an added bonus! Jax is our baby, and we can leave him with Jacki and JR and feel 100% comfortable! Highly recommend!!

Dropped our 1 year old lab off for Memorial Day weekend for a three day stay. Lizzy was very reluctant to go in as all the dogs were carrying on and the gentleman who took Lizzy in had to sort of force her into the kennel area. When we came to pick her up, we had to kinda force her into the car as she didn't want to leave!!!! LOL. We received numerous pictures each day and a couple of videos that reflected how well kept the dogs are in their care. They were very communicable, pleasant and we will absolutely use them any and every time we need boarding for our lab!

I was thrilled to find this pet boarding near us for a recent trip. Having a meet and greet with the owner, Jacki, to see the facility and let my dog run around put me at ease. There is a large indoor facility lined with kennels connected to a fenced yard with astroturf and toys. I like that the dogs have free reign to go inside and outside as they please all day (except a few breaks in their kennels to eat, rest, etc.) Jacki was always very responsive via text, and she sent pictures every day (usually 2-3x/day) all the dogs around the yard. My dog came home tired, but content. I will be using Pawsitively Purr-fect in the future.

Amazing!! I really have no other words for Pawsitively purr fect pet sitting. Jackie took such good care of my dog while we were gone! My fur baby is diabetic and needs insulin twice a day. We were updated multiple times a day with Autumns status. I have a hard time trusting anyone to care for her but Jackie was amazing!

My dog, Penny boarded here and had the time of her life! I loved the daily pics and knowing that she was safe and happy. We will definitely be back! Thank y’all so much!!

A friend referred me to Pawsitively Purr-Fect and I'm so glad she did. I have a senior beagle and needed a place for him to board while on vacation. I was so impressed with the Meet and Greet process and tour. I was grateful for the fact that I was given a tour of the whole facility. It was clean and thoughtfully put together. They had nothing to hide, which made me trust them and feel comfortable about leaving my furbaby in their care. All my questions were answered thoroughly. Booking and paying for services is easy. My dog did great. While he was there, I got regular reports and photos so I knew he was having fun and well looked after. I appreciated their attention to my dog's special needs (and my worries.) All the staff I met was curious and friendly. They took excellent care of my boy and I know he will be a regular visitor now.
