The absolute BEST DOG TRAINER I’ve ever worked with! She took my 2 year old pitbull and transformed him into a new dog! Let me explain… I have a 2 year old stubbborn, extremely intelligent but untrained pitbull. He had constant accidents, extreme aggression towards other dogs, would pull me over on walks and overall just didn’t listen To commands. Within a month of working with Beth he no longer pulled on the leash and basic commands were being met! Within 2 months, he no longer had accidents in the house, was interacting and playing with other dogs and was a dream on walks!! He went from my little Devi dog to my angel and I owe it all to Beth! I would recommend her services to every one who loves their furbaby and believes them to be untrainable!! I had pretty much given up all hope in having a dog that listened! Beth continues to teach me new ways to handle my baby and puts so much love and dedication into every pet she watches! I can’t thank her enough for giving me all the tools to continue making progress with Apollo!

I found Mary on Petsitter.com and immediately could sense this was going to be a good fit. Working shift work and a crazy schedule that is both somehow both predictable and unpredictable depending on the week is a tough sell when looking for a pet sitter. Mary was more than happy and willing to work and be flexible with any changes that may occur. She truly loves animals and I have no doubt and plenty of proof that my creatures are given nothing but love and care every second she is with them! I'm starting to think they can't wait for me to go back to work so they can see her! I highly recommend Mary for all your pet sitting/care needs!

Don’t call Rover.. Call Sarah!!! I wish everyone were as reliable as Sarah’s team!! They are always there fur my German Shepherd and 2 kitty kats. My pets even appear younger, happier and very relaxed. My Sheppie is almost 8 and since Sarah’s team has been sitting for them, she is so playful and fun like a puppy!!! I am so grateful for all the time and attention they give.. And the pix they send!!! So creative and fabulous!!!! I feel so fortunate to have found these pet loving people!!!

Sarah Sits N Stays is wonderful. Since then, our doggo has had wonderful adventures every week and is SO excited to see the kind, capable folks who take him along. Giselle is such a sweet and loving person! She loves and cares for our fur babies just like they are her own! Giselle kept my Dog Elijah for 5 days and kept me informed on how he was doing daily with pictures and text messages. Gisell is amazing! I was super nervous to leave my puppy because it was our first time being away from each other and my first time using a dog sitter period but Gisell really helped ease my nerves with her updates. She is super responsive whenever I need her and I’m pretty sure my dog stops caring about me when she realizes we’re at Gisells house 😂 I would recommend her to anyone!

Gizell is wonderful! She is very kind and has a beautiful, clean home and set up for keeping animals. Nice fence too! I am so happy to have chosen her to care for my 4 dogs!! She handled that crew well, no doubt! She kept in touch every day sending pictures or videos, which was fun for me to see. During my trip I felt very confident that my dogs were safe and happy! She was also very flexible with our flight schedule with leaving very early morning and coming back late at night. She's the best! I wouldn't hesitate to use her again for my pet sitting needs. This five star review is for the groomer at Pets at Play (can’t speak to daycare or boarding, as I’ve never done either). I have a 9 year old doodle and trust me, finding a groomer who is not only willing to groom your doodle but also does it well and with a good attitude (many get annoyed) is rare. I always leave happy! He does a great job and in my experience $100 for ~the works~ is affordable. So glad to have found him!

Our little dog loves boarding here. She plays with her little dog friends and gets meals on time. Grooming here is first rate. We bring her in every six weeks. There's a new groomer and he's great

My dog loves Pets at Play! I have been taking Ollie to Pets at Play for daycare, overnight boarding and grooming for over a year now. He is a sweet but sensitive dog. Pets at Play is the only dog boarding and grooming place in RVA that he enjoys going to and being at. The groomer is always very thoughtful about grooming Ollie the way I like. She called me before she groomed Ollie just to confirm she knew what I wanted from his cut. Very blessed to have Pets at Play in our lives

When I tell you my baby loves this place!!! He is a mamma's boy, if he doesn't know you he will not go near you. BUT when we come to Pets at Play he runs right through the door to the day care and grooming! He comes home tired from day care so I know he is playing and having fun!!

Only been here a few times but I am now a loyal customer! They must be doing something right, because now every time I walk my dog he tries to pull me in the direction of Pets At Play. He is so ecstatic every time we go, I am starting to bring him there just for fun in addition to out of necessity! Do note: if your dog is over 70 lbs they won’t be able to be boarded overnight due to kennel sizes, but they do wonderfully accommodating larger dogs in daycare! My pup loves Pets At Play!

Came here for their grooming services and was not disappointed! They were polite and informative when I called with questions and were super friendly in person. And they made my pup adorable! Will definitely return for future grooming services and daycare services.

My westie,, Tucker loves this place to play. I think he has a girlfriend there. They are kind, courteous and true animal lovers. This is the only place he’ll play with other dogs as he never plays outside my home with any other dogs male or female.

I booked grooming for my dog a month ago and was very clear (in writing) about his large size (~100 pounds) - they even said it was fine in writing. I drove 40 minutes to get there and as soon as I was pulling into my neighborhood after drop off, the groomer called to say that my dog was too heavy to fit on the table/a leg of the table was breaking. He made sure to mention that it was not my dog's fault at all/he was fine. He said he has been trying to get new equipment for grooming from management but they're refusing. What type of table doesn't hold 100 pounds? I drove for 2 hours total between 7:00am and 9:00am all because they couldn't provide the groomer the correct equipment to provide grooming services to my dog. It's not his fault in my opinion, but if he knew that size would be an issue, they should have let me know well in advance, as I had booked it a month ago. My dog used to go to Pets at Play about two years ago and there were not issues then (and he was around the same weight). Very disappointed in the lack of communication and lack of resources to provide grooming services. A word of advice to management: do not advertise grooming for dogs of all sizes/approve grooming for larger dogs if you cannot actually do it.

We used to be faithful Pets at Play customers for over 3 1/2 years, having taken our 4 year old since she was a puppy, and our 6 month old for a solid year at least two days a week for each. Over that time, we’ve provided them thousands of dollars in revenue, somewhere around $8k-$9k between daycare, baths and the occasional boarding. In March of 2019, we sent our older dog in for her regular daycare appointment and requested she get a bath and her nails trimmed. When we got her home, we noticed she was licking her paw quite a bit and saw one of her nails was badly damaged, split, and beginning to ooze pus. No one at Pets at Play called or told us her nail was damaged, even though they said her nails were cut. We emailed the owner with our concerns and received a call back from an employee, who specifically told me she was calling as to not cause any confusion, but they could not get their story straight. To me, it sounds like they didn’t want a paper trail of any potential responsibility. One person said the nails were cut, then the groomer said they did not need to be cut. If the nails got cut, why did no one tell us they damaged her nail? If they did not need to get cut, that obviously means you checked them all, right? And if you saw one was damaged, why were we never told? Whatever the case, our dog went to daycare just fine, but left with a badly damaged nail which required sedation and surgery the next day to the tune of $275 in vet bills. Whether our dog’s nails were cut, Pets at Play was negligent at best, and deceptive at worst in trying to conceal or claim ignorance of her injury. Finally, to add insult to injury (literally), I went into their online system that weekend to cancel the next two daycare reservations (because our dog needed to be at home to recover from surgery), and they had deleted all of her reservations for the next year without telling us. I never said anything to them, so why would they delete our standing reservations? It doesn’t seem like a good business practice to alienate loyal customers as we have been for years. The way Pets at Play treated our dog, my wife and me is no way to treat loyal customers. We’ve always enjoyed taking our dogs to Pets at Play for daycare and boarding, but I no longer have any faith in how they treat us or our dogs. We will not be returning, nor can I recommend their services.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful PETs at PLAY is! Dixie knows when I say "want to go see your friends" exactly where she is going and doesn't even look back when we hit the door! That is how I know, PETs at PLAY is the absolute BEST. Dixie has only ever stayed the night in her entire 11 years with my parents, PETs at PLAY and me. I LOVE the emailed pictures throughout the day of her literally smiling and having fun! I am particular because she is such an important part of my life and choosing a daycare and place to board seemed impossible until we experienced PETs at PLAY. Dixie's excitement when talking about, going to and spending time here is exactly why PETs at PLAY will be the only place we go!

Marla was wonderful! We were nervous about leaving our fur babies but she was great. We received daily messages and pictures to let us know how they were doing. Marla spent time with our pets and gave them love and attention to put them at ease. We highly recommend her. We are ready to book All for Cobalt again in a few weeks!

I cannot say enough good things about All For Cobalt! Marla is THE best! Traveling for a living can be difficult at times, and having a nervous dog can make it challenging to find the right person to provide care. From the moment Marla came over for the meet & greet, she somehow calmed my timid dog with just her presence. For the first time in 7 years, my dog felt comfortable approaching a stranger within minutes and she quickly fell in love with Marla! I’ve never met another pet caregiver with such a special gift than Marla, she treated my dog as if she were her own. Marla spent time getting to know me and my dog, she was pleasant, professional, trustworthy, and made my dog feel comfortable in a new surrounding. If you’re looking for the best of the best, look no further, Marla is the “top dog” and “leader of the pack” when it comes pet caregivers. I really cannot say enough good things about her, and wish she could travel with us!

The best and most reliable pet sitter we've ever worked with! Marla has watched our 5 cats a few times now. We always come home to find them and our house in great shape. Her prices are very reasonable, and she spends lots of time with them during her visits and goes above and beyond sending us daily updates which we personally love. Marla was amazing with my two babies. My dogs are not left alone very often and suffer from separation anxiety when I do leave them. Marla is fantastic!!! All for Cobalt was recommended to me when we were trying to figure out what to do with our kitty, Billy, while on vacation this year. I had been completely stressed thinking I was going to have to drive home several times during the week to check on him. Let me just say, Marla is the best!! She visited Billy 4 times while we were gone, made sure he was fed, had water and cleaned his box. On top of that she stayed for about 45 mins, brought him toys and catnip, AND he loved her! Billy doesn’t like people; however we got pictures and videos of him not only on his own but him right there with Marla allowing her to pet him, play with him and brush him!! I am beyond pleased and will never have anyone else come to care for him! I highly recommend Marla with All for Cobalt!

I highly recommend All for Cobalt pet care! Can't say enough good things about the care provided to our older chihuahuas, one of which requires medication and a special diet. Marla took the time to get to know them, their routine, and us prior to pet sitting. Our dogs almost immediately took to her. She provided regular updates and pictures so that we had piece of mind regarding how the dogs were doing. You can tell she really cares about animals and treated our fur babies like family!

We can’t recomend All For Cobalt highly enough! I was nervous about traveling but when we met I knew my 4 cats were in great hands. I could tell right away that Marla loved animals, was extremly experienced, and super detailed. She took notes on each kitty and there were backup plans to the backup plans. Marla sends daily updates and it was awesome to watch the shyest cats slowly fall in love with her through daily updates! I would give a 100 out of 5 stars if I could - it’s such a relief when your away that someone who genunily cares and has a ton of experience is coming by to spoil your little munchkins.

I would highly recommend this business for any and all of your pet-sitting needs! Marla came to our home to watch our 2 cats while we were traveling for the holidays. She sent us detailed daily updates and pictures of our cats each day she came. I also really appreciated that she did an initial meet and greet prior to service so that she could meet us and our cats, ask questions, and answer any questions that we had. When we came home from our travels, we found that she had left treats and toys for the cats as a Christmas gift which was so incredibly generous and unexpected. She went above and beyond and we had the peace of mind that our cats were in good hands while we were away!

Our family has a cat named George we love dearly. The children and I recently took a two week vacation and did not want to leave George in a boarding kennel or with friends or neighbors for that length of time. Having The Collar Club of Virginia come into our home was so much better and without a doubt I know that George was lovingly looked after. When Caren came over to meet George for the first time, he immediately took to her and she was so sweet to him. George is a cat who needs a lot of attention. Caren recognized that immediately and went right to his basket of toys. She was excellent from the start - Caren is beyond reliable, dependable and qualified. She sent us pictures of George while we were away with little notes letting us know how he was doing. She brought in our papers and adjusted the lights each day, took out our trash and even coordinated with a serviceman for some plumbing work while we were gone. When we needed help transporting 2 kittens that we had adopted online to our home from the airport, Caren helped us out enormously! So many amazing things to say about Haley. We have used her twice for overnight stays with our 2 rescue dogs. First of all the communication before and during is effortless. She texts almost immediately if we have questions or if we are just checking in. Also, she is very prompt. If she says she will arrive at 3 pm she will be there. I was a little nervous using her the first time just because we had never left our pets with anyone other than family. We went away this past weekend overnight and she stayed with our pups and I had zero worries and knew that I could text or call at anytime. Both of our dogs love her and she always sends us adorable pictures. I would not use anyone else. We have several upcoming weekend getaways coming up in the Spring and we will definitely use Haley. We feel so blessed that we found someone that truly loves what she does and it shows!

Haley has cared for my dog Calvin for nearly four years now, and she is wonderful. He adores her and we think of her as part of the family. He has canine epilepsy, and though it has been well- controlled for a couple years now (fingers crossed), he has a somewhat complex food and medication regimen, but Haley is always on top of it and is more than capable of handling it. She has done both drop-in visits and overnight house/dog sitting for us, and she takes wonderful care of everything. She is a "natural" with animals and I absolutely recommend her.

She responded to my inquiry very quickly and was easy to chat and schedule with- we even scheduled a meet and greet for her and my cat. Oh my gosh.....where do I even start on Haley?! Is there a way to leave more than 5 stars? Let me start by saying I was impressed when she didn't run off after meeting with me.....I think I may be one of the worst helicopter fur-moms and the pickiest about my animals care, in the world. That being said, it is hard for me to even explain how grateful we are to have found her and have her in ours/our animals lives! She is so knowledgeable and understanding, and goes above and beyond every single time. Our animals, who sometimes take a while to come around, took to her instantly and are familiar with her face now and look forward to when they get to see her. I think when we came back from a trip, they were more sad that she had left. She remembers every little detail and for someone that gets so beyond stressed leaving their animals, that is so, so helpful! She checks in on our animals (one of them has some life threatening health issues) when she doesn't have to, and knows the way we want everything, every time. I used to not be able to leave without writing a book of instructions and being panicked the entire time I was away...and even with all the things our animals require and everything she has to remember, she still finds time to send pictures, give additional updates and go the extra mile for us and our pets without us even asking. I cannot explain the gift this girl has for this or put into words how much I recommend her. She has been a blessing to us and we are so thankful for her every time. If you want the best care for your animals, and I mean the best, do not consider anyone but Haley!

We had Kenny take care of our cats off and on during our nine month stay in the Fan District this past year. Kenny took superb care of our two little critters and our apartment when we traveled. He even volunteered to help us after we moved back to Pennsylvania by making sure our mail was been picked up. I moved to Richmond 3 years ago and was lucky enough to find Kenny Williams aka The Fan Sitter. He is extremely prompt in getting back to you. He has been responsible for taking care of my 15 year labradoodle many many times and always confirms if Tag is still taking this medication or that one. One trip, Kenny emailed me letting me know he didn't see the peanut butter Tag liked, so he went out and bought some. Kenny is conscientious and very professional. Kenny is so reliable and you can tell he cares about the pets he takes care of. I have 4 cats, so when I'm out of town it is imperative that I hire someone who I know will show up to take care of their needs. I never worry with Kenny! He is also quick to respond if I contact him.

Vanessa is fabulous! She has cared for 3 of my senior dogs with such care and patience. She sends pics of your animal once a day so that you get to see your furry friend when you are away! She is great!
