From the initial contact all the way throughout the sit, Marie was great. She communicated effectively, was prompt, and was just the sweetest person you hope to meet. The animals took right to her. In fact, I think our Molly was a bit sad to see us arrive home and missed Marie. Marie did an excellent job dealing with a few issues that popped up. The fridge began acting up and ahe notified me promptly. I was able to get a repairman out, and it was fixed. Then there was a little leak under the sink, and thankfully, Marie caught it. My son was able to come over and fix that. Then there was the issue of Rascal wanting to take walks with Marie and the dogs. Our cats try and follow us on walks. Anyhow, Rascal walked along a little farther than normal and did not return with the group. Marie notified me right away, and I posted his pic on Nextdoor with the situation. A neighbor reported seeing him in the bushes and gave the address. I notified Marie, and she and the dogs walked over and retrieved him. He came out to her and stayed close to her and the dogs as they walked home. She is quick to notice situations and handle them efficiently. We arrived home happy healthy pets and a garden bursting with veggies. Marie kept everything alive and thriving. Our home was clean when we arrived and let me tell you, after being in an rv for 6 weeks, that is such a comfort to come home to a clean house. We hope to be able to have Marie sit for us again, she is one of the best.

Jeremy and Brooke were fantastic! We have a senior dog and a over hyper pittie. They gave Daisy her meds and had lengthy walks with Fin to burn off some of his energy. Janis is a wonderful person and also an incredible sitter -- we were very, very fortunate that she agreed to care for our beloved pets and rural log home for 3 days. We were confident that everything would be perfect – and it was. We returned to a home as clean and ordered as we had left it, inside and out. All plants were thriving; outdoor hanging baskets were blooming profusely. Most importantly, our beloved dog and 4 cherished cats had obviously been lovingly and attentively cared for. The koi were also active and happy. Janis is a “cat whisperer”. She is especially skilled and patient with shy felines, so we truly appreciated her patience and caring for our sweet Angie (with a semi-feral background). Janis immediately understood that Angie, despite her reclusiveness, craves affection and was able to start to earn her trust even with such limited time. Among Janis’ many gifts: she is a talented photographer and delighted us with frequent updates and photos of our furry children. They are so beautiful that we, with her kind permission, plan to include several in our zeewoi profile. Janis’ communications, reliability, self-sufficiency, and punctuality were exemplary, start to finish. We made a wonderful new friend and have already invited her back to sit again. If you are privileged enough to ever have Janis sit we are certain that you will be as delighted and happy as we are.

She sent pics of our fur babies regularly - without asking - which always makes us happy when we're away. And the biggest compliment I can give: when we came home, our pets were relaxed and happy, and no hidden cat messes to be found (we've had this happen with previous sitters a lot).
