Introduction
My husband and I live in a large 5 bedroom house set in 2 acres of land with large fenced in beautiful garden, the house is surrounded by fields and have lovely walks from the house. I am a very keen gardener, have a raised vegetable patch and a greenhouse. We have 3 married daughters all living away from home and six grandchildren. We are active for our age and keen golfers and Gardeners’ and love our holidays. We have a 4 year old black Labrador Finn who we leave behind when we travel abroad.

our house is situated on the outskirts of a village close to the M3 and 15 mins from M25. The house sits in 2 acres of well kept garden, two raised vegetable beds and a fruit cage for raspberries .The house faces south so gets all the days sun. It looks out over fields we own also. The house has five bedrooms two bathrooms, 2 reception rooms, dining room , kitchen and utility room. There is a large conservatory overlooking our garden which leads out to the terrace where you can sit and enjoy an evening drink. We have daily help and a gardener and most of the garden is automatically watered. There are lovely nearby in Windsor Forest, round Virginia Water and Lightwater Park as well as walks straight from the house out to fields. There is a theatre in Guildford and one in Windsor, cinemas in Camberly and Bracknell which are both nearby, You will have the choice of a double bed or a twin bedded room the bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Basically looking after, loving and walking our black labrador, he is a loving very well behaved dog, loves his walks and his food! Being 6 years old he is quite active I take him out first thing, he has a longer walk any time to suit in the morning and late afternoon has a short walk.. We do have a greenhouse which might need a little watering in the summer but otherwise the garden is automatically watered. In the summer when we are away there will be lots of vegetables and fruit for you to pick and eat. We would also need you generally to look after our house and keep an eye on things especially in the winter months.We have daily help once a week and regular gardeners so that side is all taken care of, we just like having trustworthy people in our house when we are away. To keep in regular touch with us when we are away. We have a house in Cornwall which we like to visit most months during the summer, we can take Finn with us or leave him with you but we do like to have the house occupied as we are a bit away from other houses and feel a bit vulnerable.

Hannah and David gave us a very warm welcome and a thorough tour of their home and garden. Libby and I very much appreciated their thoughtfulness and generosity in providing supper, allocating space in their fridge and freezer, and storage space in the bedroom. They are great communicators and such hospitable owners who go out of their way to make their sitters feel at home. Their much-loved family home is very spacious, clean and well-presented. In particular, we enjoyed spending time in the conservatory which was warm and offered views of their beautiful garden, and at the kitchen table watching the various birds (and a squirrel) at the bird feeders. Hannah loves her garden and it is such a credit to her. Garden beds mainly had automatic drippers and sprays but we found, because of the wind and sunshine, that we needed to give them extra watering. Roses benefitted from some dead-heading. We enjoyed cucumbers, lettuce and raspberries too! We were disappointed that Finn, their black Labrador, went to Cornwall with them but understood he loves the beach down there! Based on our short interaction with him, we know we would have loved having him for company. Although dogless, we still enjoyed some of the local walks. Libby and I can easily recommend the local Half Moon pub for a lovely meal and drink in the garden area outside; the Field of Remembrance café and Longacres Garden Centre, all within walking distance. We also had a wonderful visit to RHS Wisley. This has been a thoroughly enjoyable sit which we can wholeheartedly recommend to other sitters and would enjoy being invited back.

We had a lovely stay at Hannah and David’s beautiful home. Hannah is very well organised and had clear instructions for every aspect of the stay and had even made an evening meal for us. Finn was an absolute pleasure to be with and we would be more than happy to look after him again in the future.

We had a fabulous week looking after Finn who was just the perfect dog! He was very well trained, great on or off lead, was always aware of where we were on walks and came back to the whistle (he couldn't resist chasing the odd deer but always came back!). Finn loved chasing and catching his 'dog-o-saur' in the beautiful gardens and loved a cuddle and company. We had a whats app video call prior to the sit with Hannah & David and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We arrived prior to Hannah & David leaving so Hannah went through the pack and showed us one of her usual walks with Finn. She also left us dinner that evening with was much appreciated. The house was lovely and very comfortable. We'll miss Finn and would be very happy to sit again in the future if dates worked.

We spent 3 weeks enjoying the company of Finn, the most wonderful, obedient, good natured Labrador. He was great fun on the various walks in the area and particularly loves finding golf balls on the golf course. We already miss Finn. Hannah’s garden is breathtaking. We spent many a happy hour playing with Finn here. Hannah and David were very generous in giving us access to the abundance of vegetables from their very extensive veggie patch. We loved this and we’re kept well stocked for our 3 week stay. We were so thrilled to have been offered the use of David’s car for the duration of our stay. We were able to visit many wonderful places like Wisley Gardens, Shere, Virginia Water to name but a few. All in all we had a lovely 3 week stay. Thank you Hannah and David for selecting us to be your house/pet sitters.
