2 beautiful cocker spaniels in a Victorian home in South Wales
Introduction
My name is Charly, I am a mother of beautiful twin boys and we have 2 cocker spaniels called Hettie and Belle. We are very laid back Dog parents. We moved in to our forever home in February and have been working hard to make this the perfect home. I work in a high school in Cardiff and my husband works in construction. In our spare time we love to go on walks, go to the theater and we love camping. We love to take our dogs everywhere with us but we have quite a few family occasions where we cannot bring the dogs and our old dog sitter lives in Kent. I would love for a family, friends or a couple to come and explore South Wales with the company of our fur babies. Please feel free to bring your own pets with you as our dogs are very friendly and love meeting other animals.

Our home is a large 4 bedroom Victorian house with 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a big kitchen, utility room, drive and garden. Bedroom number 1 has a king sized bed and is spacious. Bedroom number 2 has 2 cots in but has plenty of room for an air mattress or camp bed. Bedroom number 3 has a double bed and bedroom number 4 is currently used as a dressing room with a dressing table and mirror but does have room for a blow up bed/ camp bed. The kitchen is where we spend most of our time as it is very large and has a table in it that can sit 6 people comfortably. We have 3 access points to the house, the front door, side door (coming off the drive), and back door (from the back garden). In the garden we have a wood chipped area with some toddler play toys and a paddling pool, there is then a stone circle, grass area and a top concrete bit to overlook the garden. There is lots to do in the area but here are the highlights for us. - Cardiff and cardiff bay - 40 minutes drive - Abergavenny/ brecon beacons - 40 minute drive - 3 waterfalls walk in brecon - 40 minutes - beautiful woodland walks - 5 minute drive - barry island - 50 minutes - town, restaraunt, shops - 5 minute walk You may see some of our kids toys in the pictures, but rest assured it will be tidy.

Both dogs are used to being left during the day, so your day is your own to do what you would like. They need feeding between 6am and 9am I the morning and between 4pm and 6pm in the evening. They need 2 walks a day after they have been fed for roughly 30/45 minutes per walk

Charly and Ben, and their adorable little boys, are such a joy! They were so warm and welcoming, and I immediately felt at home in their cozy house. Communication was great from start to finish and I felt very prepared and at ease with their sweet pups and home. Hettie and Belle are so much fun! They are the sweetest, cuddliest girls. Very well behaved and calm dogs that love a good walk/run around. There are several walking trails and paths in the area that are perfect for taking Hettie and Belle for walks and the town has everything you could need for a comfortable stay without a car. Highly recommend this sit and am looking forward to going back to spend more time with these adorable girls next week!

Charly and Ben and the twins are just such a lovely couple and family .. They were very warm and welcoming ! They had prepped everything .. Was left in no doubt as to what my Pet responsibilities were . And when I met Belle , well , she was just beautifully adorable!! She’s such a happy little soul !! She responded well to direction , and just loved her walks , play and cuddles on my lap !! Such an amazing experience for a newbie . Charly has a lovely home , warm tidy and had all the necessary comforts !! Thank you for the welcome wine ! Such an overall really enjoyable experience, that even the weather didn’t ruin a thing !! Would love to sit again !!

We had a really lovely week looking after the Hettie and Belle. The girls were just adorable, they LOVE people are extremely sweet, affectionate and trusting and will follow you from room to room wagging their tails the whole time. Local walks were fun as they clearly really enjoyed the experience. We couldn't let Belle off lead as we weren't 100% confident with her recall, but Hettie was fine and always came when called. The house was lovely, comfortable and peaceful and very well equipped. I worked a lot of the time and had great Internet connection. Charly was extremely warm, relaxed and friendly with all her communications and was quick to respond if we had questions. Due to the family's holiday timings, we didn't meet in person but it was so easy to message that we were made to feel very welcome and confident about the housesit. We'd always love a return visit to Belle and Hettie who we are missing very much!

We had a wonderful time housesitting for Charly, and looking after Belle (who is adorable!) Charly's communication, organisation, and consideration regarding travel was excellent, and we felt at home right away. Belle is a pleasure to look after; she was happy to be left at home whilst we went out, but most of the time we took her with us! The best walks are by car, but she travels perfectly. I would highly recommend this housesit, and would happily return!

I only sat Belle although she was the loveliest and sweetest girl ever!! We cuddled all day and night. She’s so affectionate and lovely I felt right at home. The home was lovely and clean with all the amenities and more you could ever want m. Belles parents are lovely and answered all my questions + text back and helped with anything I needed. 10/10 would love to sit again 🥰🫶🏼
