Introduction
Brazilian expat living in The Hague, owner of 2 lovely cats: Raggamuffin (he goes by Ragga) and Sharleena (she goes by Leena).

Well located and cozy flat, fully equipped with kitchen appliances, smarTV, wi-fi, washing machine, etc. Besides household items, there is also a self-cleaning litter box and automatic food dispensers for the cats - for the latter there are 2 items, one for each cat. Free parking. About 10 minutes cycling from the Scheveningen beach and about 7 minutes cycling from the city center. My flat is surrounded by cafes and restaurants within a walking distance.

They usually eat dry food only early three times in the morning around 6:00 (that's when I replace the water) and 9:30. Then they eat three times at the end of the day, around 18:00, around 20:30, and lastly around 22:00. If I'm home, I give them treats throughout the day (5 pieces per cat every time, 4 times per day max - or 20 pieces a cat/day). I have automatic food dispensers, but would also provide some portions in the plastic bags as a backup just in case. I have to say: in the morning, Ragga may try to wake you up as of 5:30 am for food. I hope you're a morning person! He hasn't been doing it lately though. In fact, the more I play with him before going to bed, the more he sleeps in. Leena is a very modest eater, I always release 2 portions of food and hope she eats as much as she can. When she is done and there's still food left, I put it back in the dispenser before Ragga comes to eat it. I'm very careful with seemingly harmless items which can hurt them, like a plastic bag (or any bag with a handle) - Ragga has gotten stuck in my lunch bag once :( Furthermore, although they're cats, they're very much into having a person close by to play or just to be there. They're very fond of interaction with humans, each in their way. This is why I always prefer someone staying over rather than coming and feeding them occasionally - that doesn't mean you cannot go for a long walk or a day trip somewhere ;). In that case, I would suggest that you overfeed them before you go (e.g. if you have a dinner at 19:00, please feed Ragga 2 portions at once and feed Leena whatever she manages to eat before you go). When the weather is nice, I open the balcony and fully trust the cats won't jump out, however I keep it closed when it's too windy - I don't trust the hook which holds the balcony door open. I can explain further via phone or face to face.

This sit at Ana Maria's was such a delight! Her home is truly gezellig and the neighbourhood is super nice, easy to reach by public transportation. She prepared everything the 3 of us needed to enjoy the days together. Lena, Ragga and I got along well, they are great company whether you enjoy a book and a coffee on the balcony, or watch a movie, or working from home. (Ragga probably disagrees with the frequency of the feeding and handing out treats :))

I had a great time sitting Leena and Ragga for Ana Maria. Her cat is cosy and comfy and her cats are great! Her flat is very well located, with a superb view, and very comfortable. Communication with Ana Maria went very smooth, whenever I had questions during the sit she was quick to reply. Highly recommended

Ana Maria is so welcoming, friendly, communicative and organised. She put me at ease straightaway. I felt very much at home in her apartment. It is calm, comfortable, quiet and secure - yet central to so much: shops, restaurants, trams, buses, woods. Only a 20 minute walk to the centre of The Hague or a similar length tram ride in the direction of Scheveningen's sandy beach. Ragga and Leena are adorable in both looks and personalities. Ragga was always interested in what was happening: following me around the apartment, curling up nearby and letting me know with his gorgeous orange eyes when he wanted some attention or thought that it must be time to eat. Leena liked to seek the highest places to sit and snooze; when she wasn't energetically chasing spots of light or batting paper balls. She amused me so much as she even brought the ball back to be thrown again! Ragga joined in games too - but at a much more relaxed pace. He's more of a cool dude. :-) I really couldn't have asked for more from my first experience of house and pet-sitting!
